I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, or any of the Kubo and the Two Strings characters.
Everyone continues to scream, as they were soon outside, while Beetle crash lands on a sandy area. Taylor rubs her temple, and said, "Ouch, another rough landing."
"Why didn't you use your Staff Helicopter, Taylor?" Tess asked.
Taylor soon falls on her back with a groan, and replied, "Thanks for reminding me too late, you useless ferret." Tess soon chuckled, despite being insulted by her friend, she knew her friend doesn't mean it. Taylor soon gets up asked, "Is everyone else here?"
"I'm here," Kubo replied.
"So am I," Monkey replied as well.
"I don't know, something's wrong," Beetle replied, everyone looked, as he said, "Everything turning black."
"Then open your eyes," Monkey said.
Beetle opens one eye, then the other and said, "Oh."
"What's wrong?" Tess asked.
"I can't feel my wings," Beetle replied.
Monkey was putting what might be a healing ointment, and said, "You didn't even know you had them five minutes ago. Stop wriggling," Beetle soon groans as Monkey appoints the ointment on, and said, "Here. Is that feeling better?"
Beetle soon relaxes, and said, "Oh, yeah. A little to the left. Down a bit." Monkey soon groans in disbelief of what's she's doing, while Beetle soon said, "Right there. That's good."
Taylor soon notices that, gave her an uncomfortable, and said, "Okay, that's awkward."
Beetle soon stops, and said, "Wait, you're being nice to me."
Monkey soon said, "Shh. Don't tell anyone."
"We did it, Beetle," shouted Kubo, and everyone looked, and were shocked, as Kubo said while swinging the Sword Unbreakable, "We got the sword."
Tess soon ducks, for the sword almost got her, got up and said, "Hey, watch it Kubo!"
"Sorry, Tess," Kubo, but then went somewhere else to swing it.
Monkey soon said, "Whoa. Put that down, it's sharp!"
Kubo then stabs the sand with the sword. Taylor soon said, "Okay, we need a sheath for the sword."
Kubo then mocks Monkey by sticking his tongue out and kicks the sand.
Beetle was soon moaning, saying sounds that was so inappropriate, then Monkey said, "Okay, we're done here. Get up," she soon lowers Beetle's wing guard, and said, "We have a lot of walking to do."
"You can't be serious," Beetle said, getting up.
"I'm always serious," Monkey replied.
Kubo soon sighs, and asked, "Are you two going to fight, again?"
"Of course not," Monkey replied, paused then said, "We're having a grown-up conversation."
"You're going to fight again," Kubo said, lifting his left leg, and turned.
Beetle crosses his lower arms, waves his right upper arm, and said, "Kubo, just go over there and play with something."
Kubo grabbed the sword, but Monkey said, "Not that!"
"I don't know what's the big deal about going around the water, why you think we can't do it?" Taylor asked.
Beetle replied, "Taylor, this is the Long Lake. We can't walk around it." Taylor sees Kubo take out the shamisen, it's bachi, and began strumming it, as Beetle said, "We need to swim across. I know you can carry Tess, but I can carry Kubo."
Monkey said with a chuckle, "'Carry Kubo.' That's your better idea? Look, I appreciate your help. I really do," she soon glares, and continues, "But when it comes to the boy, I know what's best."
"Oh, is that right?" Beetle asked.
Monkey continues, "And what's best is not to be fielding ideas from a talking cockroach."
Beetle bows to her level and said, "This coming from a talking monkey."
"I can still hear you, you know," Kubo said.
"Then play louder," Monkey replied, she then turns back to Beetle, and said, "This conversation is over. Monkeys don't swim."
Kubo continues playing, then Tess notices a leaf flying up, Kubo notices too, that made Kubo think of an idea.
Beetle soon said, "Not to worry. Monkey see, monkey do."
Taylor snickers at that, while Monkey said, "Oh. How long have you been waiting to say that?"
"Ever since I met you, " Beetle replied, but then asked, "Hey, what were we grown-up conversation-ing about?"
"Oh!" exclaimed Monkey, then said, "You're ridiculous. You're just absolutely ridiculous," she puts her hands on her temple, and said, "Ridiculous!" She soon waves her hands, and said, "Crossing the lake is a ridiculous idea," Taylor soon sees some leaves heading for the water, as Monkey said, "It's not your fault. There's no sense left in your head," she soon pats Beetle's cheek.
He soon moves her arm with his hand, and said, "I think I resent that," a leaf hits monkey, and she blows it off as Beetle said, "I may not know everything..."
"Anything," Monkey corrected.
Beetle soon said, "Anything. But I do know Kubo is more capable than you think he is," Taylor soon sees a small log tramples Little Hanzo, flattening him, as Beetle said, "You're being a tiny bit overprotective here."
"I'm being a lot overprotective here," Monkey said, she places a had to her chest, and said, "It's my job to make sure Kubo is safe, and that is not safe," she points at the lake, then points at Beetle and said, "You... You are not safe. Kubo is just a child."
"And an incredibly gifted one. He just saved our lives," Beetle said.
Monkey soon said, "Yes, he's very powerful, but he still has much to learn!" While she was talking, the leaves stopped coming, Taylor and Beetle looked in awe, causing Monkey to ask, "What?" She turns and saw what made Taylor and Beetle have that look.
Kubo made a boat out of the leaves and sticks, Beetle soon said, "Well, fast learner." He walks to him, while Monkey begins smiling. Beetle soon asked, "Did you know you could do that?"
Kubo strums the shamisen, and the leafy sail lowers down. Beetle lowers his bow, so Little Hanzo can grab it, and he lifts him up, and puts him on his right shoulder.
Monkey soon walks, carrying the sword, and said to Kubo, "Show off," Kubo looks at her, smiling.
"Onward with the voyage," Taylor said.
They are now going to sail across the Long Lake and continue on their quest. What will happen on this leafy voyage? Anyway, if you're reading this, thanks for reading.
