Chrystal's mother died, as she was supposed to. It was not a sad event. She chose not to say anything at all as the Christmas parade kicked off. Captain Kitty Hawk kicked it off really, the pride clear as he drove his little car with Mountain walking calmly alongside it. The huge Santa hat sliding as he waved with glee…. Yes… it was a black one with ears if ya must know.

The sleighs were separated by some of Babs' most elegant convertibles with village kids helping to throw sweets, the fire engines were there as were a lot of mobility scooters, the Biddies proudly dithering with Ton in his motor. Amy surplus driven by excited Hoodlums. Some tractors and such also, and some kids walked with their pets all decorated, the pride clear as everyone cheered like it was a homecoming from vanquishing a dragon or something.

They retired afterwards to the Great Hall where food and drink was set up, the place a hive of happiness and family. Chrys spent time sitting there, watching as Skidmark played Santa. The gifts named for the kids handed over by an excited Harley who was ever so excited to be trusted with this. Especially after the tree thing. It was Christmas, he was forgiven.

Ianto sat back and watched with that warm grin of his as the kids enjoyed his hard work. We can say they all pitched in but we all know Ianto slaved like a motherfucker to get this the way he wanted. Perfectly mad.

Captain Kitty Hawk was in fine form, as was Ton who took over the karaoke and entertained everyone like the boss he was. Jack settled next to Chrys and placed a hand on her knee "You OK darling?"

"Yeah. I am. I have been trying to remember happy times with her, good memoires but they are all tainted." She sighed as she looked over at the little ones running around as her teenage son laughed and raced after them, little Jazz now a ten year old princess whose daddy would lay over a puddle for her.

This was the happy place. Not some memory that she could not quite hold on to. No. This was her life, her future, her memories of good times. Here.

Jack kissed her forehead then rose to wander off, some of Skidmark's many spawn running after him begging for more sweets and as Jack started to turn out his pockets to reveal hidden sweets she smiled and knew her mother was burning in hell like she deserved and she would never see her again.

Because this is heaven.

She rose to go help with the juice boxes for the kids.
