I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, or any of the Kubo and the Two Strings characters.

Everyone was soon made it to shore and were in a cave. Beetle soon asked Kubo, "So, you must look more like your dad, then?" Kubo nodded in reply, who was staring awkwardly at Monkey, or Sariatu.

Everyone looks at her, as she gathers firewood, she soon said without looking, "You're staring," she chuckles a bit, and said, "Let me guess. You have questions."

She was soon approaching them, Kubo was about to ask, "Why..."

"I'll start," Beetle said, interrupting Kubo, and said, "First question. If I'm Beetle, and your Monkey," he then points at the others, and asked, "why aren't they called 'Boy, Girl, and Ottsel'?"

Taylor soon groans, facepalms and shook her head.

Sariatu soon said, "Oh, boy," she looks down, closed her eyes, and said, looking at them, "Questions can wait. We need sleep," while she was saying that she moves towards them.

"Tell us your story, then we can sleep," Kubo said, he then asked while he puts his hands together, along with Beetle and Little Hanzo, "Please?"

"Okay," Sariatu replied, giving Kubo the shamisen, and said, "Perhaps you can help us," everyone was confused, then Sariatu said, "Taylor, I want you to go first, of why you came here, since Karasu said you don't belong here."

Taylor soon sighed, and said, "Okay, I hope you can help me." Kubo nodded, taking the shamisen, and getting out the bachi.

Taylor begins to tell her long story, and while she was doing that, Kubo played the shamisen, which brought some things to life to symbolize people and things. Taylor tells about her and her brother, Shadow, everything about the Nightmare Files. Soon she talks about the Nightmare Eight, which attacked Shadow, knocking him out, and stealing documents of the Nightmare Files. She told about recruiting Tess, along with two others named Qwark and Bentley, then stealing the Dark Diamond, while Carmelita didn't join until Taylor's adventure in the first world. She soon summarizes about the five adventures so far and defeating the five members of the Nightmare Eight so far, first four, which were Dr. Bumby, The Dark Gentleman, Lorenzo Belli, and The Beldam, but the last one, Agatha, or Aggie Prenderghast, was just a little girl who was killed, and sought revenge. During this she talks about helping the ones that the four members were causing trouble to, which were, Alice Liddell, Alyssa Hamilton, Fiona Belli, and Coraline Jones, as for Aggie, who Taylor defeated without harming her physically with a boy named Norman Babcock, remembered that she wanted to be with her mother, which she did, and passed on, since she was a ghost.

"And that was my story so far. After I defeat your grandfather Kubo, I still have two more members left, so after this adventure, it might be done for you, but for me, I still have work to do." Beetle, Sariatu, Kubo, and Little Hanzo were shocked at what Taylor was doing, then Taylor soon said, "If I told sooner, you all wouldn't believe me."

"Well, I believe you so far," Kubo said.

"As do I," Beetle said.

"Along with me," Sariatu said.

Taylor smiles, and said, "Thanks guys," she then looks at Sariatu, and said, "Now, it's your turn."

She nodded, then sighs, and said, "The night I met your father..." She paused.

"Mother," Kubo said to Sariatu.

She soon inhales, and said, "My sisters and I went to the Temple of Bones to kill Hanzo," everyone stared, then Sariatu clears her throat.

"Oh, right," Kubo said, and begins to play the shamisen again, which soon caused things to come to life again.

A flower comes up with them, Sariatu soon said while things begin to take shapes of stars and moons, "At the bidding of the Moon King, my sisters and I had come down from the night sky and killed many noble warriors. Your grandfather told us that any man who found the magical armor would grow too powerful and be a threat to the heavens. That night, I arrived at the temple before my sisters." A flower soon took form of a figure, which looked like Sariatu, as the real one said, "And there he was, the mighty Hanzo." A leaf rose up, and took the shape of what looks like Hanzo, which caused Little Hanzo to tap on Beetle's shoulder, making him look at him as the little man points his sword at him, causing Beetle to smirk, as Sariatu continues, "'You have offended my father,' I told him." The Sariatu figure takes out what looks like a sword, and as Sariatu said, "'Now you must die.'"

"Yeah, that's so you," Beetle said.

"Beetle. Shh!" Kubo said, concentrating.

Sariatu continued, "We fought," They see Sariatu and Hanzo fight, as she continues telling, "Hanzo was strong. But then he stopped," both figures stopped fighting, then Sariatu said, "He looked into my eyes and uttered four simple words. These words changed everything."

Beetle counted four words with his fingers and said, "'I love you, Monkey'?" Kubo hits Beetle a bit with the shamisen, but then keeps playing.

Sariatu soon said, "'You are my quest,' he whispered." The figures soon lowered their weapons, as she continued, "I had seen the wonders of the universe, but the warmth of his gaze as I looked into his eyes..." The figures soon danced a bit, as Sariatu continued, "That... That I had never known. It was his humanity I saw. And it was more powerful than anything in my cold realm. In recognizing his compassion, I recognized my own." The figures embraced each other, as Sariatu continued, "I spared his life. He gave me mine." Then a small objected, that looked like a baby in a bundle rose up, and both figures hold it, as Sariatu continued, "And... And then he gave me you." Suddenly everything fell apart, as Sariatu said, "But your grandfather found us," she holds the things that use to be the figures, as Sariatu continued, "His rage at my betrayal shok the heavens," Kubo stopped playing, and everything else fell. Sariatu soon said, "Your father and his army gave their lives, allowing me to escape with you in my arms," Sariatu lowers the things that were once the figures.

Kubo lowers his head in shame.

"Despite this," Taylor said, getting everyone's attention, as she said, "I looked through Median Vision, and saw nothing, so that means that somewhere in the Far Lands, Hanzo might still be alive."

Kubo soon asked his mother, "Despite that, why does grandfather hate me?"

Sariatu replied, "Oh, Kubo... He doesn't hate you," she walks to him, and said, "He wants to make you just like him. Blind to humanity, as I once was. Only then can you take your place beside him as part of his family. Cold and hard. And perfect."

"I'll never be like him, never," Kubo said, hugging Sariatu.

She soon whispers, "I know." Later, Kubo was asleep, along with Tess. Sariatu, Beetle and Taylor were still awake. Sariatu puts a blanket over Kubo, and said, "He's exhausted."

"Mmm," Beetle said, then smiled, and said, "Me, too."

"I'm not tucking you in," Sariatu said, causing Taylor to snicker, but then Sariatu groaned, showing the wound from Karasu.

"You're hurt," Beetle said.

He tries to help, but she slaps his hand, then said, "It's just a scratch."

Beetle nurses his hand, and said, "Monkey, why didn't you tell him sooner who you really are?"

Sariatu replies, "The magic that keeps me here, it's fading. Soon I'll be gone," she then looks at the two and said, "And then Kubo will be alone again."

Not alone," Beetle said.

"Yeah, he's got me, Tess, Beetle, Carmelita, and the other survivors in the village," Taylor said.

"And he is the son of Hanzo. We will do everything we can to keep him from harm," Beetle said.

"Thank you, Taylor and Beetle," Sariatu said, looking at Kubo, and said, "To know Kubo has someone to watch over him when I'm gone," she pauses, then said, "That would be a fine way to end my story."

"Your story will never end," Beetle said, she looks at him, as he said, "It will be told by him and by the people he shares it with. And by the people they share it with. And by the people they share it with, and by the people they share it with. And by the people..."

Sariatu and Taylor soon glare at him, then Sariatu said, "Beetle."

"We get it," Taylor said.

"The point is your story will live on in him," Beetle said.

Taylor then said, "And not only that, after the defeat of the Moon King, Beetle and Kubo can maybe start to try and find Hanzo, since like I said, he might still be alive." Beetle and Sariatu smile at her, then Taylor soon said, "Well, I'm going to sleep, goodnight." Taylor then lays down and went to sleep.

So, both Taylor and Sariatu told their stories, and Sariatu feels secure that Kubo will be looked after. Anyway, if you're reading this, thanks for reading.
