I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, or any of the Kubo and the Two Strings characters.

Taylor was soon in a dream and sees Kubo waking up to the sound of a shamisen. The two looked and see a man playing the shamisen, then looked around to see fireflies, and were at the edge near water. "Hello, my young friends. I am Raiden," the old man, Raiden said, he soon asked Kubo, "Wy don't you join in my song, boy?"

Taylor and Kubo looked and see Raiden was blind, then Kubo tried to ask, "But how did you... You're..."

"Even blinder than you?" Raiden asked.

"Twice as much, to be precise," Kubo replied.

Raiden chuckles and said while two fireflies flew to his blinded eyes, making them look like eyes, "Which means I see double the truth."

"This is all a dream," Kubo said, thought, then asked, "Is this a good dream, or a bad one?"

"See for yourself, along with your friend," Raiden replied, who then strums the shamisen.

Taylor and Kubo looked at the water and sees something coming up, which showed the water was paper, and the thing rising was made of paper, which looked like a fortress. Kubo looks at it, and said, "My father's fortress."

"Yes," Raiden said.

Taylor and Kubo see the fireflies go into the fortress, passed some statues, and at the end, Kubo sees something and said, "The last piece of the armor."

"The Helmet Invulnerable," Taylor said.

"It's here?" Kubo asked, though Taylor doubted it.

She soon sees Raiden get up, and said, "Follow the setting sun and you'll find it, in the place that might have been your home." Taylor and Kubo looked while Raiden said, "Claim your birthright, Kubo," the fireflies soon went into the helmet, as Raiden said, "Give this story a happy ending," there was a bright light coming from the fireflies.

Taylor and Kubo woke up, Taylor still doubted that that vision would be helpful, but Kubo sits up, smiled, looked at Beetle and Sariatu, who were still sleeping, gets up and said, "Mother! Beetle! Wake up!"

Tess soon wakes up, and yawns while stretching while Sariatu said groggily while sitting up, "I'm up. I'm up."

"Well, I'm down," Beetle said, trying to drag Sariatu back down, causing her to groan.

She soon gets his arms off of him, while saying, "Off."

"I think I slept on something," Beetle said, groaning while grabbing that something, which was the sword, and said, "Sword Uncomfortable."

Kubo grabs Beetle's upper left arm, and said, "The helmet, I know where it is," he then let's go of the arm, and said, "Taylor and I saw it in a dream, Beetle."

Beetle yawns, and asked while Sariatu fixes her fur, "A dream? Well, it doesn't mean anything particular," he stretches, and lays all his hands on the sword, and said, "I mean, I dreamed I fought a giant skeleton with swords in its head."

"That really happened," Sariatu said.

"Oh, yeah," Beetle said, causing Taylor and Tess to chuckle.

Kubo chuckles, and said while holding Little Hanzo, who was pointing at another direction, "Beetle. Come on, this way." While Kubo was saying that, he was stuffing Little Hanzo in his pack, and went off. Taylor, Tess, Beetle, and Sariatu looked at each other, then Beetle shrugged his shoulders, and everyone smiled, except Taylor, who still doubted the dream.

Everyone followed the sun as it was setting, Taylor soon said, "Wow, the Far Lands have many great landscapes," as she was looking at a field of flowers, then some mountains, then a bamboo forest, which Beetle soon picks up Kubo so he can ride the boy on his back. Sariatu soon smiles, Kubo looks at him, and smiles back.

Soon they reached a forest with a bit of snow on the ground. Kubo soon said while Sariatu carried him on her back, "I spy with my one eye something beginning with 'S'"

Beetle looked and guessed, "Snow?"

"No," Kubo replied.

"The sky?" Tess guessed.

"Nope," Kubo replied.

Beetle looks, and guessed, "Snowflake?"

"No," Kubo replied.

"Okay," Beetle said.

"Maybe the sea, if we can look far enough?" Taylor guessed.

"Nice try, Taylor, but no," Kubo replied.

"Darn it," Taylor said.

Beetle thought and said, "Oh. Pfft. Snow covered trees."

"Nothing to do with snow," Sariatu said.

Beetle stops, then puts his fists on his sides, and guessed, "How about 'serious'?"

"Stupid," Sariatu said.

Beetle catches up to them, and said, "Okay, I got it. Snow," as he said that he rubs his upper hands.

Sariatu chuckles, and said, "He said it wasn't 'snow.'"

"It's a song," Kubo said, looking up.

"Well, that's not fair," Beetle said, waving his arms and asked, "How do you see a song?"

"You look," Kubo replied, moving Beetle's head up.

Everyone soon sees some birds flying over them, howling, Taylor soon closes her eyes, smiles, and said, "You might not need to look, you could even close your eyes and listen."

"Golden heron," Sariatu said, then explained, "It's believed they hold the souls of the departed, carrying over wherever they need to go."

"Hmm," Beetle said, then asked, "What are they singing?"

"It's beautiful," Kubo said.

"Lovely," Tess said.

"And soothing," Taylor added.

"Many say the song's about what happens when we die," Sariatu said, paused, then said, "How we don't just disappear."

"We don't?" Beetle asked, thought, and asked, "Uh, so, what happens to us?"

Sariatu replies, "Well, like Kubo's paper, we shift. We transform so we can continue our story to another place. The end of one story is merely the beginning of another."

"Like my adventures through the other worlds," Taylor said, then explaining, "After finishing one world, which is a story, I start another world, which is another story."

Everyone knew she was right.

The group is now on the road to get the last piece, but Taylor was doubting about it, could she be right? Anyway, if you're reading this, thanks for reading.
