I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, or any of the Kubo and the Two Strings characters.

That night, much to Taylor's worries, the made it to Hanzo's fortress, which was destroyed by the Moon King's wrath. Everyone goes in, with Beetle holding a lantern, Taylor soon said, "Everyone, stay sharp, I got a bad feeling about this," everyone nodded and continued.

Beetle soon looks around, and said, "I remember this place."

They looked around, deeper, then soon see a picture of Hanzo and Sariatu, who was holding baby Kubo. Kubo splits the picture, since it was a door, and everyone looked at more pictures. On their left was the giant skeleton with the Sword Unbreakable in his head at the Temple of Bones, then on their right was the Breastplate Impenetrable being looked at by the Garden of Eyes in the Long Lake. Kubo looked down, and saw a book open to a page with the picture of the Moon, thought, and said, "This was where my father prepared for his quest."

Sariatu looks at some papers, then Kubo looked at a door that was blocked by a fallen banner, moved it, and saw a picture of the Helmet Invulnerable. Beetle moved the banner from the pole, and Kubo opens the door, revealing a dojo, while Beetle said, "There's something I don't understand."

"What's that?" Tess asked.

"Why would the helmet be here?" Beetle asked.

Taylor heard him while he, Kubo and Tess entered the dojo, thought, then said, "Unless it isn't there."

Sariatu unrolled a paper, widened her eyes, and said, "Kubo!"

"I knew it. It's a trap!" Taylor yelled.

Taylor and Sariatu looked out into the dojo, and saw some greenish black smoke, which Taylor remembers. Taylor and Sariatu went forth to attack, but the smoke captured them and everyone else, causing everyone to drop their weapons. Soon Karasu's twin laughs, flies up, and lands in front of Kubo. She soon looks at Kubo, laughing while Kubo looks in fear.

Taylor soon said while struggling, "Leave him alone, you witch, or whoever your name is."

The woman soon moves Taylor to her position, and said, "I am Washi, the most noble of the Moon King's daughters, and you should know better than to disrespect a woman," she then slaps her, and then laughs.

Sariatu struggles, and said, "Release us!"

"Oh, sister," the woman, or Washi said, turning to her, then said while moving her finger which caused the smoke that was holding Kubo and Taylor to follow her, "I remember how we looked up to you," moving closer she said, "Of all of us, you shone the brightest. Such a waste. All we ever wished was to be a family in our home among the stars."

"I think we have very definitions of family," Sariatu said, while Washi was rubbing the back of her hand on Kubo's cheek where his remaining eye is, causing him to whimper in fear.

"Hey, leave him alone!" Tess said.

"Don't you touch him, you witch!" Beetle yelled.

"And then there's you," Washi said, looking at Beetle, then said approaching him, "the thieving insect who stole my sister's soul."

"What?" Sariatu asked.

"Could it be?" Taylor asked.

Washi chuckles, and said, "Oh, this is precious. Despite Taylor figured it out now, but you've together all this time and you haven't really realized?" Everyone looked in confusion, until Washi blew more smoke from her pipe, which caused Little Hanzo to come out of Kubo's pack, then said, "You took her from us. It was only fitting we took something from you," while she was talking, she moved her fingers, and Little Hanzo began to twitch, and shift, as she continued, "How swiftly those memories spilled from your head, wiping out all recollection of your obscene union," until Little Hanzo changed into a big beetle, and Washi said, "Hanzo."

"What?" Beetle, or Hanzo asked as the origami beetle that was Little Hanzo falls to the ground.

Everyone looked surprised, Sariatu looked at Hanzo, and asked, "Hanzo?"

"I... I didn't know," Hanzo said.

"I knew it," Taylor said, everyone looked, and said, "I knew when I didn't see Hanzo's spirit, I knew he was still alive, just didn't know that this was his fate."

Washi soon laughs and waves her hand to throw Hanzo to a wall, causing Sariatu to yell, "No!"

Washi continues laughing, turns to Kubo, then said, "I'm forgetting what I came here for." Taylor, Tess, and Sariatu struggle, as Washi was holding out her hands to take Kubo's eye, but Kubo took something out, which was the shamisen's bachi, and hits Washi, face with it, breaking the pipe in the process, freeing everyone. Taylor also notices that the part of Washi's mask where the mouth is was broken. Washi soon then looks at Kubo, and screams in anger at him, causing him to gasp, as she hits him with her arm, causing him to fly off a bit. Taylor and Sariatu scream a war cry, and went to attack Washi, but she took out two swords, and fought back, she soon said, "Seems that staff can't be broken by my swords."

"A bit of my brother's magic, and pure obsidian, the strongest type of rock, second to bedrock," Taylor said, pointing at her staff. They soon continue to fight, until all three held and try to push each other, but then Washi notices Sariatu's wound, broke the hold, and kicks Sariatu at the wound. "Sariatu!" cried Taylor, but then Washi rams her causing her to fly, nearly landing on Tess.

Washi chuckles, smirks, then said, "I will finish of my sister, then you're next, Taylor Fearbrave," she then spins her sword, and continued fighting her sister, while Sariatu blocks the swings with the sword, until Washi disarms her.

Kubo looks at Sariatu, and calls, "Mother!" Sariatu tries to crawl away, but Washi, walks to her, smiling, leaps at her and Kubo, when another sword was flung, hitting Washi, and causing her to fly to the floor screaming. Everyone looked, and saw Hanzo, who was still alive, and was holding more swords, he drops the swords and went to the others. Sariatu cringes, while Kubo said to her, "Shh. It's okay. I'm here," he then looks at Hanzo, and asked, "Father?"

Hanzo looked, and replied, "My son," Kubo smiles at him, along with Taylor and Tess, he smiles back.

Sariatu looks at Hanzo, and said holding out her left hand, "Seems I'm married to a bug."

Hanzo grips her hand with his upper left hand, and said, "Yeah," he chuckles, and said, "But a samurai bug." Sariatu chuckled a bit, as Hanzo said, "You are my quest. You always have been."

Sariatu chuckles, and said while looking at him then Kubo, "Hanzo, keep him safe, no matter what."

"I promise I will," Hanzo said, everyone smiles, but then they heard a thud, and Hanzo grunts, causing everyone to gasp, as he falls down the ground dead, for they see Washi stabs him in the back.

"Hanzo!" Taylor cried.

"No!" Sariatu cries, as they looked at Washi, who approaches them, Sariatu turns to her son, and said, "Fly home with Taylor and Tess, Kubo."

Kubo then pants, and runs to the shamisen, while Sariatu closes her eyes, then Kubo uses some magic, while Washi strikes down at Sariatu, and strums the shamisen, breaking two strings, and causes a blinding light, and Taylor soon hears Washi screaming, then everything went black.

Taylor and Tess came to, then Taylor said, "Kubo!" She then gasps, despite seeing Washi's mask, showing she was defeated, but saw Little Hanzo, who was crumpled, and said, "Little Hanzo," then looked at Hanzo, who was dead and near his bow, which was broken when Washi captured him, then said, "Hanzo," she then looks at the monkey charm, which was cut in half, and said, "Sariatu." Taylor soon began crying, and said, looking at the boy, "Kubo, I'm sorry, I'm so very sorry," Kubo didn't react, then Taylor soon said, "I can't believe it, this is the fourth time that a person I am helping has lost those who loved that person due to the Nightmare Eight," she lifts her one finger, and said, "First Alice Liddell," lifts another, while saying, "Then Alyssa Hamilton," then another and said, "Then Fiona Belli," she lifts one more, and said, "Now you, Kubo, I'm so very sorry." Kubo then let a tear fall down, which landed and strums the remaining string of the shamisen, then Tess looked and saw something moving, tapped Taylor and Kubo looked, and Taylor asked, "Little Hanzo?" He points his sword towards the paper Sariatu dropped when she was captured by Washi.

Kubo and Taylor looked at the paper, which had a picture of the Helmet Invulnerable, which looked like a bell, then Tess said, "The helmet, it's back at the village, it was the bell that tells when it was almost sunset."

Taylor was soon angry, and said, "The Moon King will pay dearly for this."

"Taylor, come in. Taylor!" said a voice.

Taylor knew who it is, put a hand to her ear, and asked, "Carmelita, what's wrong?"

"You all better get back here, Tsao is here," Carmelita replied.

"Tsao?" Taylor asked.

"He's after the bell, I am trying my best to hold him off, but I can't do it forever," Carmelita said.

"We're on our way," Taylor said. She soon sees Kubo taking the sword, then the string from Hanzo's broken bow, which he twirls into a bracelet next to the bracelet made of Sariatu's hair, grabs the shamisen, lifts up his arm while holding the bachi, fueling it with magic, and strums the last string, breaking it in the process and causing a shockwave and the banners of the fortress to spin around him, making it look like he had wings. Taylor looks at him and said, "See you back at the village, Kubo," he nodded, while he flies away, while Taylor, with Tess on her shoulder, touches the ground with the diamond part of her staff, spins into a circle, which caused a light to engulf them and sink into the ground.
