Ianto was still humming from Date Night and his love for his husband was evident as he fussed around him at the breakfast table, Ton and Angel watching with interest as the baby sniffled in her little carriage Ton had made. A shopping basket in a shopping trolley that had been lined out and was like a huge gram. I know… he was being creative and although it was NOT something Ianto would put a baby in… this was not his baby and Antonia looked quite safe in there.

"Taddy, can you mind Tony today?" Angel asked softly "I wanna go to the library and the snow is cold… I don't want her to get snowed on."

"Of course darling, I hope you will rug up warm. It's going to really come down tonight, only two days until Christmas" Ianto smiled as he patted her hand across the table, and then resumed his cutting of Jack's toast into soldiers.

Hawk appeared still half asleep and dragging a huge toy by its foot and as he sat at the table, yawning as he did so. Ianto looked at the meter high pink panther with shock "Hawkeye… why is Pinky Pants not pink anymore?"

"Oh. Do you have ANY idea how many vivid marker sit took to do that? Like… a whole box of the big ones you use for writing on the boxes. I took so long my hands nearly fell right off" Hawk said with wide eyes "But he looks so much better right?"

The Pink Panther had been crudely coloured in. rudely as in… pink patches everywhere and his tail was still over half pink too.

"Well… good job?"

Hawk nodded happily as he looked at his hard work with satisfaction.

"I just need another few to finish him off" Hawk said with authority "Will go check Manny for that. Maybe there will be some on the decorations area of the Christmas House… you always remark the boxes when you pack things away so you must have….. AHHHHHHHH!"

Ianto had been horrified at the thought of the child anywhere near the Christmas House right now so he had spun to the nearby drawer of shit… you know the drawer I mean… every kitchen has one… and pulled out four of the pens with a flourish "These?"

"Oh Taddy… you are bloody good at that" Hawk said with a solemn face to show how impressed he was "Look at that Panther Man, I should have you corrected in no time."

"Not a bit racist? Covering his pink?" Jack asked as Ton looked over with interest to see what the answer would be as he and Hawk had talked about this already.

"Panthers are black. Clearly this one had an industrial accident and fell in pink paint or something… or even worse… bullies held him down and coloured him in the pink… I cannot imagine the hard life he has lived until now… never allowed being his own perfectly black self. I am not colouring him over… I am restoring him!" Hawk said slowly.

Jack choked in his coffee as Angel nodded "that makes sense little brother. Yes. Giving him back his pride in being black."

"Thank you Sister" came the pompous reply as the boy nodded so hugely it is a wonder he did not head-butt the table.

Ianto happily handed over the markers for a good cause.

Everyone is free to show their true colours around here ya know.
