"Your knight is not from our world." Echidna said as she sipped her tea.
Emilia looked so confused at what she said. 'Subaru is not from this world?' She thought.
"Haven't it come to your mind that he looks different from everyone else, and the ways he speaks, the foreign ideas that come along with him." Echidna lists down. "Even his clothing, don't you think he is from what do you call it? From another world?" Echidna said.
Emilia slams the table with her hands.
"There is nothing beyond the great waterfall!" She reasons out. "How would Subaru come from beyond the waterfall!?"
Echidna sighs at Emilia's act.
"You are more dense than ever." Echidna said as she shook her head.
"You're just bluffing, you're lying." Emilia said as she was denying the witch's claims.
"I've had enough of this farce, if you want your precious Subaru's memory back, I'll gladly help so when you come back to the sanctuary." She said.
Now Echidna's form blew away as if she was just sand, and the space around them turned back into the nightly scenery of the front yard of the mansion. They were back in their previous position, Subaru laying on the grass while Emilia was seated next to him.
"..." Both were left silent.
"What just happened…?" Subaru was the first to ask, while Emilia was right there silent, taking in what just happened before her.
"Emilia-chan?" Subaru called out.
"Emilia-chan?" He called out once more.
"Emilia-chan!" He yelled out now as he got her full attention now.
"Wha…!" Was the response Emilia could utter.
"Oh right, should we sleep now Subaru?" She asks the boy.
"Yeah, we probably should, since it's getting late." He replied.
"Alritghy then." The half-elf responded.
"Uhm." Subaru utters as he forgot he can't walk now.
"Yes Subaru?" Emilia asks.
"Emilia-chan, could you please carry me back?" He asks, to which the half-elf flashed a smile at him and instantly picks him up.
"Woah!"
"Of course!" Emilia replied as she was now carrying the boy back to the mansion.
As the duo went back into the mansion, Subaru thought to himself.
'What am I feeling for Emilia-chan?' He asks himself. 'Why do I feel like my heart races when I'm with her?' He added.
And so another night in the Mathers' Residence was done, and everyone was peacefully asleep. Well, except for a certain boy who was struggling to sleep due to a conversation with a certain witch.
"Looks like I need to find you instead." Echidna said, as she strolls through the woods.
Ever since they freed the Sanctuary, Echidna was successful in reviving herself, thanks to one of the Ryuzu clones, she took over the body and now once again was walking in the world, as a living being.
And now once more, a witch was unleashed for the world. A world with so many things to discover that awaits for her. For her second coming. Yet she is not the witch everyone despises, she is still a witch that could do harm to the common people.
The witch of greed, whose contract was rejected by a certain black-haired boy, was now out to pay him a visit, along with the other witches of sin whose souls are held in her crystal.
In the middle of a nearby forest, a girl in a white dress, an elf with pink hair, sits near a fire.
"And soon, we will meet again Natsuki Subaru." She sighs as she is clearly exhausted. She was still adjusting with the gate and the form of her new body.
She pulls out a crystal that was teal, it was like one of those barrier stones Emilia made. But it was small, and it didn't serve as a barrier. No, it housed the souls of the other witches. They can see everything and hear anything thanks to the crystal.
The crystal glowed as someone spoke.
"So we will meet Baru again!?" Typhon asks, excited that she will meet him again after the whole fiasco back in the tea party when Subaru rejected Echidna's contract.
"Yes Typhon, we will meet him again." Echidna replied.
"What are you planning now, Echidna?" Minerva was now the one that spoke up.
"Hm? I will merely help them with their current predicament." She replied.
"But, h-how about Roswaal?" Carmilla asks.
"For him, his gospel is gone, so he doesn't know I'll be visiting." She replied.
"Will there be treats?" The Witch of Gluttony asks, as she was always hungry.
"First of all, stop asking that, it's getting annoying, and second, yes there will be since it's courtesy to give treats to a guest." Echidna replied.
"Just don't *Sigh* reveal your form to them, I bet *Sigh* Roswaal will ruin everything once he found out." Sekhmet warned.
"Thanks for the advice…" Echidna sarcastically replied.
"Just don't do anything to him or I'll personally break out of here." Satella warned, even though she was supposed to be in her seal, although she can easily enter the castle of dreams.
"Yes, yes, I won't do anything to him, unlike last time." She replied as she raised her hand, and place the other on her chest, stereotypically vowing.
"So, when do you plan to go?" Minerva asks.
"Hm, in two days." Echidna replied.
"Why wait that long, Chid-Chid?" Daphne asks.
"I think I need time to prepare to meet them, and who knows, maybe Beatrice will figure us out." She said.
To which the witches in the crystal were like; "Reasonable."
And so the night for the witches went on, until it rained, ruining her fire.
"Damnit." Echidna utters as she tries to find shelter, and tried to make another fire. Which she did, although making another forest fire.
As she was making her escape out of there, she noticed that she was not even days away from the mansion. She was right at the yard of the mansion.
"Would you look at that?" She mused as she inspected the mansion grounds.
She inspected the surrounding area, nothing but the storage house for their wood.
"Well, looks like I'll meet you soon enough Natsuki Subaru." She utters as she makes her way to the storage house.
And so, the witch had easily found her way to the boy she was supposedly meeting in about a week. And so, her night went on, sleeping in the storage house. Although uncomfortable, she is still willing to go through that just to meet the boy who she wanted to play with. She slept there, until the rain had subsided, only in the morning to be found by Petra.
"FREDERICA-NEE SAMA!" Yelled the young maid as she was freaked out, running as fast as she could , trying to get back into the mansion.
Frederica, who was at the front door and was about to go in, turned around to see her little and adorable subordinate running to her.
"What is it Petra-chan?" She asks the little maid as Petra finally reaches her.
"The-Ther-Th" Petra stutters, still freaking out at what she saw.
"Go on Petra, tell me." Frederica said, as she caressed the back of Petra's head.#
"There's someone in there." Petra said, pointing at the shed.
"Huh?" Were all Frederica utters.
She then proceeds to make her way to the shed.
'Maybe she's imagining things.' Frederica thought as she opened the door.
And what she saw was something she wasn't expecting at all.
"Oh my!" She covers her mouth.
"Petra! Tell Ram and Rem to prepare a room!" Frederica ordered, to which the little girl nodded and went out running back into the mansion.
Meanwhile Frederica picks her up. "Must be another clone of granny." She utters. "I wonder how she got here." she added.
And now, they've just invited in a witch. A witch who was under the disguise of one of Ryuzu's clones. And now they've unknowingly let her in easily.
In a room, that was not that of a maid, but that of a honored guest, had awoken the pink-haired girl.
"Huh?" She utters as she was inspecting the room she was in.
"Looks like they've seen me sleeping when they took me in." She utters to herself.
She then again pulls out the crystal that she's carrying with her. And once again, someone has spoken and it glows as the person speaks.
"So we're in the mansion now huh?" Minerva said.
"The room's so big!" Typhon commented as she saw the room from inside the crystal.
"Is there any food here?" Daphne asks.
"Will you keep it down?" Echidna said to them.
"We don't want them to know that all seven witches are here!" Echidna reprimanded them.
Then knocking on the door could be heard. A single sweat was on Echidna's forehead.
'Shit.' was all she could think of.
"Excuse me, honored guest, can I come in?" Ram asks.
"Uh- erm, Yes, come in." Echidna stuttered as she was now trying to conceal the crystal she was holding with her.
The door opens, and the red haired maid comes in, accompanied with the beast maid. Frederica was surprised that a clone had managed to wander through the forest and ended up here. To be honest, they don't know what happened to the other clones, some stayed in the Sanctuary while the others wandered off their own ways.
"Are you alright esteemed guest?" Frederica asks, bowing in courtesy.
Omega, still flustered managed to give out a response, albeit she stuttered
"Ye-Yes I'm alright." She replied as she was handed over a towel, wiping her sweat on her face with the same towel.
"You'll be meeting Roswaal-sama later on, and we will discuss what shall happen to you." Ram said.
'Roswaal, looks like I'll be meeting you again after all.' She thought as she wiped her face with the towel.
"Very well, may I ask, why can't I meet him now?" Omega asks, as she finishes wiping her face.
"Roswaal-sama is out right now, tending business." Ram replied.
"I see."
"Very well, breakfast will be ready soon, and Ram will fetch you later on." Ram said as she and Frederica were now about to exit the room.
'Hmm, I might as well explore this mansion, maybe I'll find him.' She thought as the maids were now gone.
She then stood up from bed, doing some stretches.
'No matter how long I've been in this body, I still can't get used to this…' She thought. And so her adventure had started as she opened the door and left her room. Needless to say she got lost immediately, after just walking some doors away from her room.
'This place is larger than I thought.' She said in her mind, and yet the other witches can still hear her thoughts.
'Should've asked for directions Dona!' Typhon replied.
'I know, I know, but I wanted to explore this place myself.' She replied back.
'But you'll make them worried.' Minerva refuted.
'And so? I am merely satisfying my curiosity.' Echidna spat out at the Witch of Wrath.
'S-Still, you should've at least let someone accompany you.' Carmilla said.
'Yeah, all of this walk alone is *Sigh* Getting boring.' Sekhmet added.
By this point. The Witch of Greed had enough with her noisy companions. She wanted to do this yet here they are berating her. She knows the consequences of her actions, and this is what she wanted, why can't she get a break from the others?
And so the little and short adventures of Omega went on, all the while the other witches of sin were continuously berating her.
'Alright, that's enough, can I please enjoy my little walk?' She asks.
When she got no response from the others, she simply smiled and said.
'Thank you.'
Omega managed to find her way out to the front yard, albeit it took longer than expected. But for now she was observing the scenery before her.
'Ah. How beautiful.' She thought. It was tidied up and clean, unlike the forest.
She then proceeds to walk to a patch of grass, and lays there.
'It's been a long time since I was able to see the sun.' She thought. It was only a year since Emilia had managed to pass the trials of the Sanctuary, and a year since she was unleashed back into the world. Although, she has no intentions to thank the half-elf.
'Looks like I don't need Roswaal's help anymore.' She thought.
Meanwhile in the middle of a meeting room:
"Achoo!"
"Are you alright Roswaal-sama?"
"Iiiits nothing, someone might haaave thought about me." Roswaal replied.
"So where weeeere we?" He asks as they were still discussing something.
"Oh right, as I was saying-"
Back in the mansion, there laid the pink-haired elf at the patch of grass. Her face was red, as she was there for more time than needed.
"So this is sunburn huh?" She utters out in a lowly voice.
She then proceeds to hold her face.
"Ouch." She said,
"Ryuzu-san!" A female voice yelled.
"Huh?" The elf utters as she is startled by the sudden calling of her name.
"Ryuzu-san!" The voice again called out to her.
"I'm here." Omega replied as she now stood up, trying to find the person she was calling for.
And as soon as she saw who it was, she was dismayed.
'Oh, it's you.' She thought with all of her spite against the half-devil who resembles the Witch of Envy.
Emilia was currently running towards Omega and as soon as she got to Omega, she paused for a moment to catch her breath.
"So this is where you went off to." Emilia utters in between her breaths.
"Oh, did I worry everyone?" Omega asks. "I am so sorry if I did."
"No, no, I'm glad that you're alright." Emilia said, flashing a smile to Omega.
"So what brings you here?" She asks Omega.
"I just wanted to stroll around the mansion, that's all." Omega answers.
"I see." Emilia replied.
"Emilia-chan!" Subaru yelled, as he was now riding his wheelchair, being pushed by Beatrice.
"Don't shout I suppose!" Beatrice reprimanded.
"Sorry." Subaru replied.
Even though he was fully healed that fateful day, fate was still something. Just after a day of being healed, his legs gave up, due to his nerve damages there. It would take another trip to Felix just to heal his nerves. Luckily, his feet were the only one affected, and not the others.
"Subaru!" Emilia yelled back, waving at him, a smile flashing from her face.
'So we meet at last, Subaru Natsuki.' Omega thought, a grin forming on her face. And so the witch intends to spill out everything about the boy that is from another world. The question is, will the Witch who holds him dearly allow such revelations to occur, or will she destroy them, like she did back in that one loop in the Sanctuary.
And so, as Subaru caught up to Emilia, Emilia who was smiling back at Subaru, and little spirit hitting him endlessly, the Witch was smirking. She was delighted that Beatrice had finally found that person. But other than that, she could finally be with the boy who could satisfy her greed. Her Greed for knowledge, to satisfy her curiosity.
Hours after being with Subaru, Emilia and Beatrice, Roswaal had finally come back from his meeting, and were now about to discuss what would happen next.
Omega, a.k.a Echidna, was now with Roswaal in his study room, discussing some few things.
"Soooooo, what brings you here, Ryuzu-saaaaaan?" Roswaal asks.
Echidna, being Echidna, answered the question in the most 'Echidna' way possible.
"Well, you see I need a home to stay in." She said,
"Not only that, but my attention was caught by your estate." She added.
"Hmmm? Well I'm glaaad you find this place intriiiiguing." Roswaal replied.
"And that's why…" She utters.
"Hm?" Roswaal raises an eyebrow.
"That's why I ask you, to please let me reside in this mansion." She said, her head hung low
Roswaal found this a little skeptical, but nonetheless, she is still a clone who is possibly homeless, and as payment for his old friend's company from before, he lets her stay.
"Theeeen." He said.
Echidna was anticipating Roswaal's answer. It could be a yes, or it could be a no. Either way, she'll be able to observe the boy either on the inside or on the outside.
"I'll leeeeet you stay~" Roswaal replied.
Omega had sparkles in her eyes as Roswaal approved her stay.
"Thank you so much, Roswaal-sama." She thanks him.
"Oh pleeeease, you can address me siiimply by name." He said.
"Well, then, thank you so much, Roswaal." She replied with a smile.
'Well, that was easier than I thought.' She said to herself.
'Roswaal didn't change at all.' Minerva sighed, to which the other witches were at an agreement.
'Can you please not intervene with my thoughts for one day?'
"Is there something wroooong, Ryuzu-saaaaan?" Roswaal asks, as right now, Omega was showing a look of pure irritation that is clearly being held back by a wavering smile.
The Witch's attention was caught as she realized what she was doing.
"Oh, sorry about that, I was just lost within my thoughts." She replied, scratching the back of her head.
"I seee, well then-" Roswaal utters as the door opens, and Rem comes in.
"Rem, show our esteeeemed guest where theeeey'll be staying." Roswaal ordered.
Rem bows at her master's orders.
"Come with Rem, we'll show you to your room." She said to Omega.
"Alright then, see you soon Roswaal." Omega said as she walked out the door with Rem, waving goodbye to Roswaal, to which he reciprocated the act to her.
As soon as the door closes, Roswaal starts to grin.
"I see, so you live again Sensei." He utters as he looks out the window, to see both Subaru and Emilia who were conversing at the yard. He managed to see through Omega's thoughts and speech pattern
"Looks like you've returned my beloved Sensei to me, Subaru Natsuki."
And so, a new member was now part of the Big Roswaal Happy Family. And because of that member, things will go down.
A/N: Been a while... Sorry if the story seems so rushed, even though by this point, in the span of three days in the story, a lot had already happened. And now, we'll see more of Omega, and the other witches of sin. Anyways, gotta go, See ya!
