At D rank, Light can discern a servants true name immediately after seeing their noble phantasm; however, Ryuk, with an A ranking, can immediately see a servant's true name by simply glancing in their direction, unimpeded by concealment abilities as long as the servant's face is visible.

Natural Born Genius: B: Light regularly ranked first in national exams and has shown to be very clever in using his death note, using it in ways that even shinigami, beings who possessed death notes for countless millennia, never even considered. He has also been able to come up with complex plans that inevitably get his work done in ways that draw no attention to himself. However, Light is extremely prideful and believes himself to be the embodiment of justice. When questioned on this, he can become somewhats shortsighted and easy to anger. A smart opponent can use this pride against him, such as when L tricked Light into revealing his location.
Divinity: A: Kira was viewed as some kind of divine being by many people around the world and even had a cult of worshipers. This, combined with Ryuk's position as a Shinigami, a literal god of death, puts this skill at the highest rank.
Combination: D: Despite being partners, neither Light or Ryuk will not go out of their way to help the other. They have no care for each other and are simply partnered together for convenience, often using each other. Light uses Ryuk as a kind of unpredictable variable for that can use to catch people off guard, and Ryuk follows light because he finds him entertaining. The moment either feel like they have no use for the other, they will not hesitate to cut them loose.

Death Note: Notebook of the Shinigami: Anti-Unit/Anti-Life: A+: A notebook belonging to shinigami. Any human who has their name written in the book will die of a heart attack in 40 seconds. That is the most simple function of the death note. However, there are multiple rules and loopholes to this function. The most important are as follows.
-The writer has to picture the the face that goes with the name they are writing for the death note to work.
-If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing their name it will happen.
-After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be entered within the next 400 seconds.
-The cause of death can affects a person's action up until their death(As long as it is in the realistic realm of possibility) and can delay a person's death.
-After an individual's name, time of death, and conditions of death are entered in the notebook, the time and conditions of death may be altered as many times as desired as long as they are changed within six minutes and 40 seconds from the time they are filled in. But this is only possible before the victim dies.
-If you write "dies of accident" for the cause of death, the victim will die from a natural accident six minutes and 40 seconds after the time of entry.
-People outside of the person being killed by the death note can not be directly affected by the death note, even if they are stated by name. So writing the cause of death as something such as "hit by a car after be mugged by [INSERT NAME]", will not work and will only result in a heart attack.
-The Death note can not be directly used to cause someone to kill others.
Light and Ryuk each possess a version of a death note. While its condition of only working on humans prevents him from using it directly on servants, Light and Ryuk can still freely use it on masters or any other humans as long as the conditions are met.
