They continued until a sphere of dark matter appeared above the skull. Soon it opened up and a small, child-like figure descended down. He covered his face, while grabbing the skull and putting it on his face like a mask. He exited the circle and approached the four of them. His aura brought a mysterious and mischievous feeling throughout the room, which gave Parallela and Quartzstro shivers down their spines.
"Why hello there," said Appendos as he try to give him his hand to shake, "welcome to the family!"
The kid wearing the skull just awkwardly waved to Appendos as a way to say "Hi" back.
"What's the matter? Cat got your toungue?"
The kid began nodding in affirmation.
"Alright then, how about taking off your mask so we can see that beautiful face of yours".
He was a little hesitant at first, but soon complied. As the kid lifted the skull off his face slightly, everything around the room soon becomed static and glitched like a screen on a television. With his face, slowly revealing itself, the items in the room began to turn into 8-bit sprites, screaming fleshbags, and dancing conga lines.
"Appendos, do you think this is a good idea!?", said Kombu as fearful of what's happening around him.
"Don't worry Kombu, Everything's going to be just fine", said Appendos, being stoic of the monstrosities that was acting before him.
At last, the kid fully took off his mask. His face was an empty abyss, it was like anything can happen. Then darkness, moments of nothingness passed, until finally small disturbing childish giggles and whispers that could cause racing thoughts of panic to casual people. And once again, everything became silent.
"You've proved yourself brilliantly, Nihiles Trismegistus. Now, turn everything to it once was." Shouted Appendos as the room turned back to normal.
The kid soon had the skull on his face back on and hugged Appendos and acted like an eight-year-old would to his parent.
"I-is it over now?", said Quartzstro, while hiding behind a slightly traumatized Parallela.
"Don't worry Quartzstro, it is." Said Kombu as he turned back to Appendos. "Wait a second, you called him 'Nihiles Trismegistus'"
"Why yes I did. Because 'nothing' actually happened and he is the third one we brought back so far". Said Appendos as he continually being hugged tightly.
"Hold on, what do you mean by nothing?".
Appendos told Kombu that Nihiles' power is to shift their perspectives to different space-time continuums. Thus explaining the nightmarish events that enfolded. Once Appendos was finished talking his horn started to glow brightly.
