A/N: Thank you everyone for all the reviews and the kind words wishing me a speedy recovery! I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far.
I've been considering putting the story on hold, because it's been really hard to focus lately and my body hurts so much. I can only usually write for half an hour tops before I lose focus or just hurt too much to continue. However, I felt like pushing forward because I know it'll be probably at least a few months before my treatment is done, and then a few more months with court/dealing with lawyer things/dealing with my workplace, for this whole situation. I still can't believe everything that's happened, and take into the fact that I'm only 18. Honestly, what a welcome experience to the adult world!
I hope that this way, I can keep the plot as fresh as I can!
It has also been a blessing, because I'm able to learn so much so early on. I feel a bit more confident in knowing how to deal with situations like these in the future (although I do hope something like this doesn't happen again). Better now than a few years later when I have a house or family.
Anyways, thanks for listening to my rant!
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any works by J.K. Rowling.
Chapter 9
They knew they were small for their age, but it didn't truly hit them until they reached the front doors of Hogwarts.
The group of first years were much, much larger than Harry and Daphne. They thought that Penelope's height was just due to her age, but now they realize they probably were the shortest ones in their year.
The first years all crowded towards the Hogwarts steps, eagerly awaiting for the next Professor to welcome them in.
It wasn't before long when a blonde slicked back hair boy with 2 large looking boys behind him approached them, which caused everyone to stare.
"So, little tiny Harry Potter managed to make his way here," the boy sneered. "It's a surprise they haven't thrown you out yet! I wouldn't want to have some stupid spineless rubbish such as you around here! It's a wonder mummy and daddy haven't even cast you out yet!"
Harry gritted his teeth and let out a low growl. He tried his best to control his anger but he could already feel himself leaping onto the boy.
He felt a hand grip his own, and he noticed out of the corner of his eyes Daphne bubbling with anger. But when her eyes met his, she calmed down a bit to give him a reassuring smile.
The blonde boy in front of them noticed Harry's reaction to his comment, which caused him to snort.
"They have, haven't they?" He exclaimed. "Mummy and daddy were so disappointed they threw you out! My, losing your heirship is one thing, but being thrown out? How dumb must they be to wait that lo-"
Before the blonde boy could finish his sentence, a new voice appeared behind him.
"Lay off, Malfoy. That's my parent's you're talking about."
The crowd opened themselves up to reveal Jamie bloody fricking Lannist - Potter. Jamie Potter.
Malfoy whirled himself around and the two boys stood face to face with another.
Harry blinked when he saw his brother. Jamie had grown up very well. He was standing around 5'4 and had neatly combed hair. At the age of 13, you could tell he was already beginning to build some muscle and his emerald green eyes just made him stand out even more.
Jamie was essentially the taller and much better looking twin.
Malfoy was startled for a second but quickly recovered. "So what if I was?" He sneered. "They gave birth to your disappointment of a midget brother over there, didn't they?"
"Flipendo!"
A flash of light from Jamie's wand sent Malfoy back, tumbling down the steps that led to Hogwarts. The two big looking boys besides Malfoy moved forward to intercept Jamie, but he moved his wand towards them.
"Another step and it'll be the two of you next!" Jamie snarled.
The two boys looked at each other nervously but just as Jamie was about to put his wand away, they decided that they had to avenge their leader.
As they rushed Jamie, another 2 Flipendo was sent out and the two followed suit with Malfoy, at the bottom of the steps.
The crowd around them cheered as Jamie flashed them a smile and began waving back, as if he was a rock star.
Daphne only snorted and whispered to Harry, "you didn't tell me your brother was such a show off."
Harry rolled his eyes and replied, "he's always been like that. The prick just loves the spotlight."
He took Daphne's hand and began to try to sneak them away from the crowd.
"Now come on, Daphne. Let's get away before he calls us or-"
"Little brother!"
Harry let out a groan as he turned around to see Jamie sporting a grin.
"You know I'm the older one, right?" Harry asked, annoyed.
Jamie just ignored the statement and began speaking quite loudly. "Little brother! You don't visit, you don't write, why, we haven't spoken in so long! And now here we meet, with me saving you once again."
"You know why I can't visit!" Harry snarled. "And I didn't need your help back there! I was doing fine by myself, thank you very much! And - you never saved me before!"
Jamie clutched his hand to his chest and pretended to be hurt. "You wound me, little brother!" He mock cried. "I saved you in Diagon Alley, knowing full well what your true intentions were! And now I defend your honor only to be shunned away, as if there were nothing between us!"
The crowd around them began muttering amongst themselves.
"His own brother! Truly the lowest of the low…"
"Jamie saves him once again, and he just denies it? How ungrateful can you be?"
"Oooooh! You think Jamie's single? He's soooo hot…"
"There is nothing between us." Harry spat, ignoring the muttering around them. He moved to grab Daphne's hand, ready to take them away. "Come on Daphne, let's-"
"Flipendo!"
Jamie had his wand out and shot the knock back jinx right at Harry, sending him to the side.
"HARRY!" Daphne screamed. She rushed towards him but felt a strong hand grip her arm. She felt herself pulled around to be facing a smirking Jamie.
"Don't worry, miss." Jamie assured, acting heroically. "He was reaching for his wand and you definitely would have been caught in the crossfire. No need to thank me."
Daphne tried pulling away but his grip on her was too tight.
"Let. Me. Go." She growled.
Jamie didn't even try to listen to anything she was saying. He just kept going on and on about how lucky Daphne was.
"-and you know," Jamie was saying, "you can always come to me if you need anything. Autographs, talks, or even if you just need my company for some comfort…"
'SMACK'
The loud sound of Daphne's hand connecting to Jamie's face could be heard. Jamie stumbled backwards, caught by surprise, which allowed Daphne to break free and rush towards Harry, and crouched over him.
"HE WAS REACHING FOR MY HAND, YOU IDIOT!" Daphne screamed over her shoulder. "AND YOU'D BE THE LAST PERSON I'D WANT TO TALK TO, LET ALONE ASK FOR COMFORT!"
A loud gasp rang out throughout the audience. Then, a girl from the crowd shouted out.
"YOU BITCH! HOW DARE YOU HIT JAMIE!"
Screams of agreement from the crowd echoed out, mostly from the female side.
Daphne moved to shield Harry's limp body, as parts of the crowd started moving towards them. A few students did however hang back, watching on with interest.
Jamie started to recover and looked frantically around. He tried calming the crowd down.
"Everyone, calm down!" Jamie yelled. "Harry must be using dark magic to influence her! She's acting totally irrational! We must free her at once from his grasp!"
The crowd that was moving towards them started muttering amongst themselves.
"The poor girl!" Someone shouted. "We have to free her, and the only way is if we get rid of the one controlling her!"
The crowd roared in agreement and began moving even faster.
"GO AWAY!" Daphne shouted. "JUST LISTEN TO YOURSELVES! HE WAS REACHING FOR MY HAND!"
Daphne felt Harry's hand grab her arm. She turned around to see him awake but with fear in his eyes.
"Go…" he croaked. "They'll hurt you if you're in the way, Daphne. Just leave me, I'm not worth it!"
She shook her head fervently and held onto him as tight as she could. "No! She hissed. "I told you I wasn't going to leave you! Stop saying you're not worth it you idiot! Now get up already and run!
"Bloody hell, I can't! Whatever he shot at me was strong. I can't even feel my body. You have to leave me, or else Astoria won't make it! Look at where we are!
Desperation appeared in Harry's eyes as he forced her to look at him. In turn, Daphne hesitated when she realized the magnitude of what he was saying. No one was going to look over Astoria if something happened to the both of them.
"Harry…I-"
Before she could make a decision, they heard a loud 'POP POP POP' sound and the screams of the crowd died down.
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?" An aged voice of a woman shouted.
The two of them looked back to see sparks flying from an aged woman's wand. She stomped over towards the crowd, as they muttered among themselves, making way for her.
"Someone explain to me right this instance," she began. "Just WHAT IN MERLIN'S PANTS…IS GOING ON HERE?"
Everyone froze, unable to say anything. They just looked around nervously, trying to avoid the woman's piercing catlike eyes.
Except Daphne and Jamie.
"He attacked Harry!"
"Harry tried to attack me!"
Both of them glared at each other, before continuing.
"Jamie is ly-"
"He has her under-"
"Both of you, stop talking!" The woman shouted. "Obviously the two of you can not provide me with the necessary details of what happened here, so I will ask someone else!"
The woman huffed and turned around towards the crowd, but everyone averted their eyes. She let out a sigh when everyone just took a step away from her. But then, a low groan appeared down the stairs which caught everyone's attention, including the woman's.
Daphne watched as Malfoy slowly got up to see everyone staring at him.
"Crabbe? Goyle? What's going on here?" Malfoy asked.
The supposed Crabbe and Goyle only let out their own groans before snoring away on the ground beside him.
"Ah! Mr. Malfoy, was it?" The woman asked. "It seems you were knocked down the stairs. Care to tell me who it was that sent you down here?"
Daphne stared pleadingly at Malfoy, hoping he would say Jamie. But then she noticed Jamie glaring at him as well, and discretely making hand motions towards the crowd, and hand motions to a throat cutting.
She saw Malfoy's eyes widened and hesitated before he answered.
"It…it was the one over there," he said slowly.
Everyone followed Malfoy's finger, until they saw where it was pointing.
The crowd seemed to take it as a que, and they all began agreeing with him.
"It's true, professor!"
"He's the one that attacked Jamie!"
"The poor girl is under some sort of spell!"
Daphne was horrified. Malfoy had pointed towards them! She thought they had a common enemy and he would signal out Jamie.
"WHAT ARE YOU ALL TALKING ABOUT?" Daphne shouted. She turned towards the professor and began pleading with her. "Professor! Please, don't listen to them! Harry wasn't doing anything! Jamie sent him flying over here, all because he was reaching for my hand!"
Before the professor could say anything, Jamie's voice shouted out, "That's absolutely ridiculous! He was about to cast at me and I only defended myself!"
Daphne just turned towards the crowd and started desperately searching for anyone who could even help. Her eyes landed on a few kids standing at the edges of the crowd, clearly trying to not be noticed.
"You there!" She pointed at one of the boys. "Tell her what happened! Please!"
The boy just looked back and forth nervously between Daphne's pleading look and Jamie's cold glare.
"Well…um…you see…" he stammered.
It was clear that he was scared of Jamie. A big part of the first years idolized him. And if he said anything that would paint their idol badly, he'd be next in their line of sights.
Before he could make a decision, a familiar redhead peaked out from the door leading into Hogwarts.
"Professor McGonagall!" Percy Weasley called. "The headmaster is wondering when you're going to come in!"
Professor McGonagall glanced between Daphne and Jamie. Her stern voice echoed out that everyone heard, "I would take away points and hand out detentions. However, since we haven't even begun the sorting yet, I will refrain from doing so. But be warned not to let something like this happen again, or you will find me not so lenient. Am I understood? Mr. Potter? Miss Daphne?"
Jamie and Daphne both nodded their heads. Professor McGonagall took a glance at Harry, but when she saw that he was slowly waking up, she hesitatingly turned towards the first years, ignoring him.
"Everyone!" She called. "Line up in 2 lines please! We will be making our way into the Great Hall to be sorted!"
As the first years began lining up, Daphne turned towards Harry who was slowly getting himself up.
"Harry, we have to tell them to get you to a healer!" Daphne frantically fussed.
Harry only waved her off and began slowly moving towards the back of the line, with a hand holding his side.
"I'm…f-fine…" Harry wheezed. "L-let's…just…get sorted."
He was panting heavily. It looked as if every step was painful to walk.
"What do you mean you're fine?" Daphne cried. "You can barely walk, Harry! I have to tell the professor!"
She was about to turn around and make her way towards the front of the line where Professor McGonagall was, but Harry's hand on her arm stopped her.
"Don't." He said, shaking his head. "She didn't…look at…me. Doesn't…like me. I'll…manage Daphne.
Daphne hesitated, but nodded nonetheless. Her hand found his' and she began leading him to the line. She walked with him, side by side at the back of line.
"I want us to visit the nurse after the feast, okay?" Daphne said softly. "And tell me if it hurts too much."
Harry nodded grimly, as the first years entered the hall.
The hall was truly magical. Candles hung in the air and the ceiling projected a night sky with stars shining brightly. 2 long tables stood at each side of the room with hundreds of student onlookers, eager to see the new batch of the first years.
At the front of the room was a table where all the professors sat. In the center was presumably Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster. He held a serene grandfatherly smile with twinkles in his eyes.
The first years stopped at the front of the room and made a semi circle. A stool was at the center with a hat on it.
"When I call your name, please come up and place the sorting hat on your head, and you'll be sorted into your house." Professor McGonagall announced.
She pulled out a piece of parchment and began reading.
"Abbots, Hannah!"
"Hufflepuff!"
"Bones, Susan!"
"Hufflepuff!"
"Boots, Terry!"
"Ravenclaw!"
Professor McGonagall continued calling out names. The tables that received the students would clap loudly each time to welcome in their new members.
Harry had noticed when Malfoy was called, he walked up a bit more timidly than expected. It seemed that Jamie had somehow knocked some sense into him with the stunt he pulled.
"Slytherin!"
When it was Jamie's turn to be sorted, he confidently strolled up to the stool and sat down. The hat barely touched his head when it called,
"Gryffindor!"
A loud groan echoed from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. However, the Gryffindors all jumped out of their seats and began cheering.
"WE GOT POTTER! WE GOT POTTER!"
After a few more names were called, the only ones left were Harry and Daphne, standing there with their hands held.
Professor McGonagall had put away the parchment and she looked disapprovingly at the two, seeing their hands held.
"Miss Daphne, if you would?" McGonagall said, motioning towards the hat.
Daphne hesitated for a second but felt Harry's hand squeeze hers. She glanced towards him to see him give her a reassuring smile. She smiled back and walked up to the stool and placed the hat on her head.
"Hmmmm. Difficult. Very difficult."
A voice rang out in her head, causing her to almost stumble out of the seat.
"Ah! Quite a courageous feat you did there! Months on end, protecting your sister! You could make a fine Gryffindor indeed."
"But I don't want to be in Gryffindor." Daphne thought.
"Is that so? Perhaps Hufflepuff? No…although you are extremely loyal to your sister and that boy of yours…you're not exactly the hard working patient type, so not Hufflepuff. Hmmm perhaps Slytherin?"
Daphne wanted to throw up after hearing that. It was where that stupid pounce Malfoy went!
"Ugh! God no!" Daphne blanched. "Anywhere but Slytherin!"
"Why, you would do very well in Slytherin!" The hat retorted. "Perhaps even better than Gryffindor!"
"How am I even a Slytherin? I'm nothing like those…those…evil bastards!"
The hat was silent for a couple seconds, until it spoke up again.
"It seems your impressions of Slytherins come from your grandfather, eh? No matter, you possess the qualities of a true Slytherin, in which many lack. Quite cunning I must say, manipulating that old lady to give you the job, and to steal from her months on end."
Daphne's face fell, and she felt guilty. The hat was right. She acted like a Slytherin, though and through.
"Please…I have to be in Ravenclaw…" Daphne pleaded.
"Ravenclaw? Hmmmm, you wouldn't do very well in Ravenclaw. Not really a desire to…ah…I see now. Truly your Slytherin resourcefulness shines. A room to share for the girl in your trunk and love, eh?"
"A-ah what do you mean my love? I—I, well it's not like that!" Daphne protested, embarrassed.
If the hat could roll its eyes, Daphne was definitely sure it would be right now.
"So, not Slytherin is it?" The hat asked slowly.
"Definitely not. Ravenclaw. Please. I have to be there. I can't be separated from Harry."
The hat pondered for a moment before it replied.
"Very well then. If not Slytherin, then you better be…"
"RAVENCLAW!"
Polite clapping echoed through the hall, as Daphne let out a sigh of relief and made her way to the Ravenclaw table. She caught Penelope's hand waving at her and she made her way near the end of the table to take a seat next to her.
McGonagall looked at Harry with a stoic face, gesturing towards the stool. "Harry, if you will."
The students in the hall began muttering amongst themselves when they realized who it was. Some of them were just bad mouthing him whilst others were curious why his Potter name wasn't called.
Harry just ignored the whispers and made his way forwards. As he sat into the stool, a voice began speaking in his mind.
"Ah! You must be the other half. Let's see here…quite resourceful with using a false wand to hide your ability…although not really much sense of self preservation I'm afraid…so Slytherin would be ill-suited for you…"
"None of the information isn't going to be shared with anyone…right?" Harry asked nervously. "I'm trying to keep the wandless magic a secret."
The hat gave a short chuckle before replying. "No, the founders enchanted me to not reveal anything unless it is already known or willing to be shared by the person. Now let's see…ah! You would do well in Gryffindor. Quite courageous indeed in your duels, even though it was clearly a losing battle. And truly chivalrous with the money stolen!"
"Ah, um if it's alright with you…could you put me in Ravenclaw?"
When Harry asked that, he could feel the hat let out a sigh.
"You really don't have much Ravenclaw traits, I'm afraid. Not really much of a desire to be learning or wise I'm afraid. No no no, you would be much better in Hufflepuff now that I can see."
"Well, how am I even a Hufflepuff?" Harry snorted. "Do I even seem like one of those duffers?"
"Well, you certainly are hard working with all those duels you've done. And extremely loyal to the ones you love, that girl and her sister."
"But that's like 2 traits!" Harry protested. "Surely I could be wise, I mean I've done some wise things!"
"Oh? No no no, that is your strong moral code. A trait of a true Hufflepuff! The reaction with the stolen money just shows your justness!"
Harry just growned. The hat just kept insisting he's a Hufflepuff. But he couldn't go there. He needed to be with Daphne. At this point, he didn't even care what the hat thought.
"Ah…modesty. It is quite well hidden…but it's there," the hat said, as it continued to search through his memories. "I have never seen a clearer Hufflepuff such as you in quite some time now. Even after all your deeds, you do not even boast about them. However…"
Harry just stayed silent as the hat pondered. After a couple seconds, it spoke once more.
"So, would you join Hufflepuff? You are after all, the truest one I have met in many, many years."
"I can't. And you know why."
"Very well then. Not that I could separate you from your other half…you two will be much needed in the times to come…"
"Wait. What do you mean by that? And why do you keep referring to her as my other half?" Harry asked frantically
"RAVENCLAW!"
Before Harry could even get answers, he already felt the hat being lifted off of him. A loud clapping sound however, caught his attention.
"But no one is clapping for me." He thought.
Then, his eyes fell on the clapping noise. It was Penelope and Daphne, both of them cheering for him.
The only ones cheering.
The rest of the Ravenclaws were quiet, some of them even looking annoyed.
He noticed Penelope glare at her table, and start to clap even louder when she saw no one else besides Daphne clapping.
"Please make your way to your table," said Professor McGonagall.
As Harry walked down, all the Ravenclaws just glared at him. It was clear that none of them wanted him there.
He started to limp a bit, as he felt a bit tired again. He unconsciously moved a hand to his side once more.
"Harry! Over here!"
Penelope's voice called out to him, her hand waving him over.
When he took a seat in between Daphne and Penelope, the headmaster in front cleared his throat and began speaking.
"Welcome, to a new year at Hogwarts! Before we begin, I'd like to say a few words. Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!"
"Thank you!"
The headmaster then sat down and clapped his hands twice, signaling the feast to begin.
Daphne and Harry just looked at each other with a bemused expression.
"He's definitely mad," said Harry.
"Definitely," Daphne agreed.
Penelope frowned at the two of them. "Come on you two, be nice. Professor Dumbledore is considered to be the greatest wizard of our time."
"Doesn't mean he's not mad," Harry chimed.
"The more great they are, the more mad they shall be," Daphne echoed, pretending to have a sagely expression on her face.
Penelope just groaned. "Just eat your food you two…and I thought all the cute first years would hang onto every word I said,'' Penelope pouted.
At the mention of food, Harry and Daphne turned back towards their table to see a plethora of food on it. Roasted chicken, pumpkin juice, beef, pork chops, potatoes, the list was endless.
Seeing all of the food, the two of them began to drool.
"Harry…" Daphne started. "We won't mention this in the future. Ever."
"Agreed. Nothing that happens here, leaves the room."
Penelope just looked horrified when the two of them began stuffing their mouths in an unsightly manner. They were eating so messy and fast that the rest of the Ravenclaws began looking at them and snickering.
"Will you two slow down!" Penelope hissed. "There's utensils right there!"
"Ju's 'eally 'ungry" chewed Daphne. "Avn't ewten well in awhil'e"
'Aphne, you 'ave to try this," Harry mumbled, holding out a piece of treacle tart with his hand.
Daphne didn't even think about it and just mooched right on his fingers, moaning at the taste of the tart, going so far as to lick his fingers. When the two of them realized what happened, they both blushed red.
"Nothing. Leaves. This room." A bright red Daphne growled, and went back to stuffing her mouth.
Penelope just stared at the two of them in shock.
She tried to strike a conversation with the two of them, but was promptly ignored. Even a ghost who appeared, who introduced herself as the Grey Lady, couldn't catch their attention. Daphne and Harry were truly engrossed in their food.
When the feast was starting to come to an end, Harry remembered something.
"Hey Penny?" Harry asked. "Is there a way we can bring some of the food to our room?"
Penelope didn't even reply. She just waved her wand and conjured some food boxes for him, and went back to eating while muttering about their table etiquettes.
"Thank youuuu, Penny!" Daphne called from the side.
Harry started packing some of the food into the boxes. He found that there were even drink containers and he started pouring whatever is left of the pumpkin juice into them. It wasn't long before the tables started to clear and the headmaster stood up, once again.
"Now that you're all watered and fed," Dumbledore started. "I have some start of the term announcements."
"I would like everyone here to welcome our new Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Sirius Black!"
A wave of applause echoed throughout the hall as a man stood up from the faculty table and waved.
Harry frowned and leaned over towards Daphne. "I know that guy." He whispered. "I remember him coming over back at the Potters."
"What was he like?" Daphne asked.
Harry just rolled his eyes. "He was a lot like…James. But definitely nicer." Harry mused. "I remember he used to turn into his animagus form, which was a dog, and let me play with him."
"He doesn't sound too bad."
"You never know, Daphne. It's been many years…"
Dumbledore continued talking, as Professor Black sat down. "As you all are aware, there have been speculations of a curse on the position. Therefore, this year we've decided to also hire an assistant professor for Professor Black, to see if the curse can be changed. It seems however, she is running late, so I'll introduce her when she arrives. Now moving on…the third floor corridor…"
Dumbledore continued on about certain death on the third floor and various warnings about the forbidden forest and quidditch.
"Penny, what does he mean by curse?" Daphne asked, leaning towards Penelope.
"Well, we've never had a Defense against the Dark Arts teacher last for more than a year," Penelope explained. "Our last one had an accident and went to Saint Mungos, the one before that won the lottery and quit… and the one before…well, you get the idea."
"That's got to be some curse," Harry whispered.
Penelope just shrugged. "I don't know why they've never had a curse breaker look at it. I told my boyfriend Percy about it, and he said that his brother Bill had offered multiple times to have it looked at but was always denied. I don't even under-"
Before she could finish her sentence, Harry let out a small groan and clutched his side.
"Harry!" Are you alright?" Daphne asked, worriedly.
Penelope looked towards him and saw that he was beginning to sweat and his face was pale.
"I'm…alright…" he panted.
"You really don't look alright, Harry. I noticed you were a bit pale at times during the feast, but I thought it was just the food." Penelope said, frowning. "Listen, why don't I get you to Madam Pompfrey, she'll look you over."
"No…really it's fine," Harry said, acting like he was alright.
Daphne just scoffed at this. "You're clearly not! Come on Harry, you promised me you'd go to the nurse after the feast."
Penelope blinked. "Did something happen before the feast?" She asked.
"Yeah, Harry's idiot brother-"
The doors to the great hall slammed open, which halted Daphne mid sentence. A red head woman ran into the room, panting.
"Sorry, Professor!" She yelled. "I got caught up on the way here!"
Harry froze when he saw who it was. His breathing got even more shallow, and felt an intense feeling of fear pass through his body.
Dumbledore smiled as the woman walked up to the faculty table, taking a seat right next to Professor Black. "Ah! Here she is. Everyone, may I announce your new Assistant Professor for Defense against the Dark Arts…"
"Lily Potter!"
And with that announcement, the last thing Harry felt was Daphne's arms around him before the world faded to black.
A/N: Okay I really couldn't resist the Jamie Lannister comment. I mean, it was right there! Although, I promise no more references like that in the future. Probably. Maybe.
So we meet Jamie. It would be much more obvious if I just bashed him and make him incompetent...but there's not really any fun in that. We all see in canon how Harry is basically treated like a god when people meet him, and the Harry Potter club as well. Now we have Jamie, who is strong enjoys the spotlight. The crowds will be more susceptible to him now and he'll obviously play on it. I hope this will make the story much more interesting!
Draco Malfoy. He gets his ass handed to him huh? Unlike in canon, this time there's a whole crowd behind the boy who lives, and he uses it. Malfoy is going to be a bit humbled.
Sirius Black and Lily Potter. I thought Dumbledore would hire Sirius, because he's from the ancient black family who's renown for dark arts. Sirius who is basically the black sheep of the family, would make an excellent teacher to show how to defend against the Dark Arts. Along with that, it will slowly be revealed how Lily became his assistant.
Over the next few chapters, we'll get to see more characters introduced and life at Hogwarts. I assure you, this will NOT be like the first year from the books. Similar? Perhaps in some parts. But I guarantee no will probably be expecting what's to come.
Thank you everyone, for reading this far! And thank you for all your reviews and kind words!
