Magical Alien Summer EP 27: They lurk below
A hi-tech helicopter flew across the ocean. "This is so cool! Being picked up by a billionaire's private jet to check out his brand-new hotel before anyone else! Now we're talking a Summer Vacation! And believe me, after dealing with a haunted mansion, an evil shadow king from Equestria, traveling to an alternate New York City with mutant ninjas and fighting a secret evil organization and even teaming with other versions of me to stop an evil me from conquering the Omniverse, I need this trip to kick back. Thanks!" Dan smiles out as his grandfather. "I do anything for you guys. And besides, from what you told us, it sounds like you needed a little break."
"I still can't believe you actually went to an alternate version of Earth with Mutants that are not rampaging mindless monsters. Or that the Rainbooms there know Ninjutsu and use ninja weapons." Kate spoke out. "I still can't believe there are other Dans, or in other cases, Bens out there with Omnitrxes as well!" Ken comments out. "Well, I kind of know the concept from Comics. And you said there nothing but mindless trash, huh?" Dan smugly taunts his sister that his knowledge of Comic books allowed him to understand what he went through in his last adventure as the teen frowns out with a glare.
"Grandpa, why didn't you tell us you knew Donovan Grandsmith?! The guy is like one of the richest men in the world!" Ken spoke out in excitement as the elder man smiles out. "Must have slipped my mind." The jet lands down on a dock that led to a Hi-tech elevator in the middle of the sea. The Tennyson then steps out as they greet an elder that is wearing a red-ish sweater with white pants and grey shoes and a kid around Dan's age that has an identical outfit but has tanner skin and black hair. "Max Tennyson. It's been way too long!" "How are you, Donovan?" "Well, with 16 resorts worldwide, I say rather good! Glad to see how the better half lives." The man chuckles as he pats Max on the shoulder.
"These are my grandkids: Dan, Ken and Kate." "And this is my grandson, Edwin." "Hi!" The Tennysons kids greet the Grandsmith kid, only for him scoffs as he looks away. "Yeah… Whatever." Surprised, they glanced at one another in response. "Ready to take the plunge?" The elder billionaire askes as they all got into the elevator and were transferred to a docking station that has a circular platform on it. Once they all pile in, Donovan gave the signal, and the group were all taken down a tunnel. As they kept going, the kids were fascinated at the undersea world and all the ocean wildlife as well. "Man! Can't believe Fluttershy is missing out on this." Dan comments. Max, on the other hand, was concern about something. "Are you sure this is the safest place to build a resort like this?" "What? Worried about underwater fault lines?"
Max spoke out his concern. "I'm talking more about that your smacked dab in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle." The Tennyson kids were surprised at Max's words! They were in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle?! The infamous Bermuda Triangle where all sorts of ships and planes disappeared over the years?! But Donovan chuckles as he responds. "Growing up, you always were a worrywart, Max. Never the risk taker. I give you the world's first and only underwater resort! You won't believe what's down here." The kids were amazed at the sight, but Max was not sure, but he can't shake the feeling that there is more down here than just a fancy hotel.
Intro:
A Galaxy is shown with some planets as outer space music is heard.
Just for a flash of green light to occur and shows the Omnitrix symbol with Dan's silhouette in the middle as the song picks up.
"It started when an alien device did what it did."
The 1st clip is Dan, discovering the Omnitrix as it latches onto his arm as he panics.
He then presses down on the dial as it transforms him into Heatblast as he cries out.
"And stuck itself upon his wrist with secrets that it hid."
"Now he's got superpowers, he's no ordinary kid. He's Dan 10! (Dan 10!)"
The logo flashes a bit, before showing off aliens:
Grey Matter, Overflow, Shock Rock, Heatblast, Tear-Wolf, Goop and Astrodactyl.
"So if you see him, you might be in for a big surprise."
"He'll turn into an alien before your very eyes!"
The boy is then shown transforming into Tear-Wolf as 6 more aliens appear and zooms in:
Goop, Shock Rock, XLR8, Humungousaur, Heatblast and Tear-Wolf.
" He's slimy, freaky, fast and strong, he's every shape and size."
"He's Dan 10! (Dan 10!)"
Just then, a flash-animated Dan is running towards the screen and then flips and morphs into Tear-Wolf.
He bites at the screen as a black and green '1'. appear next to him.
2: Humungousaur is next as he grins and slams his tail down, making a sonic blast.
3: Grey Matter leaps at the screen, only to go splat in a comic fashion.
4: XLR8 appears and zooms away.
"Armed with powers, he's on the case!"
"Fighting off evil from Earth or space!"
5: Upgrade wiggles his legs around as he raises his arms.
6: Shock Rock generates lots of power and blasted a large beam of blue energy across the screen.
7: Overflow flies upward on his water blasts.
8: Astrodactyl displays his whips and then rockets away on his jetpack.
"He'll never stop 'till he makes them pay!"
"'Cause he's the baddest kid to ever save the day!"
9: Goop emerges out of his puddle form and throws a long punch in the air.
10: Heatblast chucks a fireball at the screen as Dan himself lands on the ground with his fist, cracking it as he gives a big grin.
"Dan 10! (Dan 10! D-D-D-Dan! Dan 10! D-D-D-Dan!)"
Tear-Wolf is then shown leaping form some trees as he looks fierce.
Shock Rock poses as he finishes transforming.
Sunset and the Rainbooms are shown powering up into their magic forms.
Heatblast chucks a fireball.
Dan is then shown slapping down on the Omnitrix.
The Mane 6, Spike, the royal sisters, the royal crystal family, Discord, Starlight Glimmer, Trixie and reformed Changelings and Dan in griffon form stood together as they glare at an adversity as the Omnitrix boy just smirks with crossed arms.
Twilight is shown fight a giant bird monster as she uses her Geode's magic to slam it down on the ground.
Humungousaur roars out as he finishes transforming.
XLR8 is shown running on top of water.
The opening finishes up as the aliens all got sucked into the Omnitrix as Dan shows it while green rays came from it as the title appear next to him.
Dan 10: Magical Alien Summer.
The kids ran ahead through a tube as staff are cleaning around them, rushing pass pools of water as Edwin and the elders' trial behind them. "The official grand opening is only a week away! A few special VIP's like you are getting a sneak peek. Sure beats that old rusty bucket of bolts you sleep in, doesn't Max?" But Max shakes his head with an eye roll, often wondering how low will Donovan's jaw will drop when he see's the Rustbucket's true features.
The Tennyson kids were gazing out a window to see fish swimming by in awe. Kate turns back with a grin. "I read about your resort in 'Pacific Monthly Oceana', Mr. Grandsmith. Very cutting-edge. Isn't the glass reinforced with..." "Butt-kisser." Edwin coughed out, making the girl glanced at the rich boy in response. "Micro-titanium threads that have the capability to withstand ten atmospheres." Donovan explains. "Nobody gets wet here unless it's in one of the nine pools." "Very impressive, Donovan," Max said with a nod. "Well, for 2,000,000,000 it ought to be. But, you know, money isn't everything."
But Edwin crosses his arms as he frowns at the elder as the other kids noticed as well. "Did we change the family motto, Grandpa?" Edwin asked. "Anyone else noticing some tension between Edwin and his grandpa?" Ken whispers out as the siblings gives sounds of agreement. Dan then spot something on Edwin's shirt. "Hey! I'm a huge fan of Sumo Slammers, too! Where did you get that pin?" "Sumo Slammer Slamdown 5 in Helsinki." Edwin answered. "We flew on my Grandpa's private jet just to get it." Edwin scoffs out like it's no big deal.
"And Edwin says the pin's already tripled in value." Donovan said. "Kid's got a head for business. Grooming him to take over the empire one day. Gotta keep it in the family." Dan smiles out, knowing what it's like following in his grandpa's footsteps. "I've been following my Grandfather's footsteps, this summer too." Max smiles at his grandson, only when an alarm sounded out, and they saw the lights flicker on and off slightly.
They all looked out to see the diver employee, who was cleaning the windows lose his balance and was tangled up in the hose he was using as he looked down to the filters that were seeming to move in reverse as his suit started filling up with water. "What happened?!" "A power surge must have caused the water to recycle itself." "Will he be okay?" Ken askes out in concern as Edwin answers as he gazes at some sharks, moving in. "If the sharks don't get him first." "I can't have an employee be turned into fish food before the opening! The press will ruin me!" Donovan said in dismay.
He then ran off to fix the problem as the Omnitrix welder nods at his grandfather, who nods back as Dan ran off to a hidden spot and dials the watch. "Time for Overflow to make a splash." He grins as he slaps down on the watch. FLASH "Hey! What was that?" "What was what?" "We didn't see anything." The cousins covers for Dan, who to his dismay, got Grey Matter instead! "Oh, man! The one time I'm better off as me!" But nonetheless, Grey Matter dives into the pool.
As the alien swims down, he spot the helpless man as sharks circles around him, looking for a easy meal. But the small, yet intelligent alien quickly grabs onto a dorsal fin and starts punching at it's sensitive eye, making the shark flinched in pain as it tackles the other one, making the 2 scraps with one another as Grey Matter lands on the diver's helmet. The man was surprise as Grey Matter gives a thumbs up and a grin. Just then, the filters reversed and blew them upwards back into the resorts tanks as Grey Matter was flung away screaming as Max lifted the diver upwards onto the floor as Donovan looked over to him.
"Are you okay?" Donovan asked as the diver groaned out, making him open his eyes as he coughs out some water. "Where's your cousin?" Edwin asked Ken, unsure where the 10-year-old kid is. "Just hanging," Dan said from outwards, hanging from the ceiling as they all glanced up to see him dangling. "Anybody got a ladder?"
After getting Dan down, the newly recovered diver walked away as the group recuperated from the situation. "Well, I'll have to double his salary, but he won't breathe a word," Donovan said. "Anyway, who'd believe him? He said some grey frog with pants saved him." Dan, Kate and Ken smirked to each other. "Buy him off." Edwin scoffed. "That's the Grandsmith way." "That is some tension." Ken mumbles out in worriment as Donovan spoke to his grandson. "Edwin, take the kids on a tour so Max and I can catch up on old times." "Oh man." Dan said disappointed as Kate blew her hair away while the other 2 boys' frowns, 1 for being forced to play 'Tour Guide' and the other 3 for spending more time with a spoiled, rich brat.
"Oh, Max," Donovan said as they walked away. "It's too bad you didn't take me up on my offer 30 years ago when we were both dead broke. You wouldn't have had to spend your life unclogging drains and fixing toilets while I traveled the world." "You'd be surprised." Max said with a smirk. "Being a plumber does have its moments."
The tour began at a water park like area of the resort as the others smiled. "Nice." Ken said, impressed as he put his hands on his hips. "Cool." Dan adds out. "Not bad." Edwin admitted. "In the morning I have my own swim coach and personal trainer to work out with." "You're a swimmer?" Kate asked. "Long distance. My grandpa says it builds character." Edwin made a swimming motion as he said that while he walked away. "'My grandpa says it builds character'." Dan mocked the rich kid as the others laughed.
The tour continued as they looked up to see a display of a submarine hanging from the ceiling in a launch bay. "It's called the Undersea Manta Ray." Edwin explained. "It's my grandfather's." "Well, it looks cool." Kate said as they looked up impressed as Edwin notices as he gets an idea. "You wanna take it for a ride?" Edwin asked. "Definitely!" Dan said as the girl looked to him shocked. "Are you sure it's okay?" Kate asked as Edwin smirked.
Meanwhile, Max and Donovan were walking to the power control area where the technician nodded to his boss before walking away. "A reverse power surge caused the whirlpool effect. But it's fixed now." Donovan said. "Must keep a lot of juice to keep this place lit up." Max said as he glances around the large generator chamber. "That can't come from the mainland, we're too far offshore." "Volcanic vents on the ocean floor." Donovan explained. "We tap into them like a big steam generator." They walked towards the generator with some of the workers. Inside one of the generator's panels, a purple light was glowing, catching Max's attention as he raises an eyebrow. "What's behind that panel?" Max asked. "Nothing, it's just a backup generator. Now watch this." Donovan said before nodding to one of his employees.
She nodded and pressed his button and the generator let out some steam power as three engine workers pulled down on some levers, letting out more steam. On the surface, the workers watched the pressure levels rise as the resort let out a green light that illuminated up to the surface. "I have enough energy to illuminate the outside so bright, it's visible 500 ft above sea level," Donovan said as the resort's light became bright as a star. "Now for my prized possession: the Undersea Manta Ray." Donovan and Max walked up to the launch area, only to find the submarine wasn't there and neither were the kids. Both elders gasp as the rich owner narrows his eyes. "Edwin." Donovan growled.
Said rich grandson was piloting the Undersea Manta Ray through the ocean as it dropped down from the resort's garage with the kids as its passengers. They all gazed out the windows in awe and wonder as they looked at the marine life passing by them. Some jellyfish passed by them with a smile. "Wow." Kate admired as some fish that looked a lot different then what they saw before passed by the windows. "Some of these fish look totally prehistoric." "I'll say! They might even be from off-world." Ken breaths out, wondering if some of the Bermuda Triangle's sea life were actually aliens that came from different planets.
The Manta Ray continued on its voyage through the ocean floor... but as they passed by some rocks and wrecked ships and planes, some alien squid drones took notice of them and immediately followed them. They possessed six mechanical tentacles with flexible ribbed joints; two of the tentacles have mechanical claws on the ends. On the bottom of their bodies are mechanical parrot-like beaks. They had glassy, glowing cyan heads with white lines that represent circuitry. Below the head is what appears to be a purple eye. The robot aliens gazes at the submarine as they swam after it. The Manta Ray passed by them as Kate looked downward to see that the ground below them seemed to be glowing. "Okay, now that's weird."
Suddenly, one of the robot squids appeared at her window and attacked the glass in front of her, snapping its beak at her as the teen is surprised. "And that's weirder." Edwin gulped as another squid appeared by them and attacked his section. Soon, an entire swarm of squids appeared and started attacking the Manta Ray relentlessly. Soon, they managed to crack the glass and water started flooding the submarine, causing an alarm to sound out as the others gulped nervously. "Remember when I said that some of these sea life might be from off-world?" Ken askes out in dread as the others nods in response. "I wish I was wrong for once…"
"What do you think those creatures want?" Edwin asked. "Something tells me that it's not to play Marco Polo." Dan groaned outward. "They must be attacking us because we've wondered into their territory!" Ken cries out "We've got to get back to the hotel." Edwin nodded at the red head and engaged the controls again, driving the sub back towards the hotel with the squids following it.
Not far afterwards, they saw they had wandered right into an underwater minefield. "Uh-oh!" Kate said nervously as Edwin carefully drove the sub away from the mines. Too bad, the squids weren't that smart as one of them crashed right into a mine, detonating it and setting off a chain reaction of explosions which rocked the submarine. And yet still, the squids refused to let up as Edwin finally reached for the radio. "Grandpa, do you copy?" Dan realizes that it's hero time as he nods at his relatives, rolling back his jacket sleeve for the Omnitrix and went back to the entrance chamber as the boy dials in Overflow. "Turn me into Tear-wolf, you're dead meat." One slam of the Omnitrix core and Dan began transforming. FLASH
Dan felt his entire body became water as armor places all over him. He grew bigger as he poses, making a tidal wave splash behind him for dramatic effect.
"All right! Now we're talking!" Overflow eye smiles at getting the correct alien, making him open the hatch and dives into the ocean. The alien jets towards the squids and slices through them with his water blades. He then charges at the sub as the squids kept attacking, making more water pour in. Edwin notices Dan's absence. "Hey. Where's your brother?" "He went to the bathroom." Edwin's eyes widened as he remembers the sub has no restroom at all! "Wait! The Manta Ray doesn't come with toilets!" "Just drive!" Ken cries out.
Back at the garage, Donovan was not happy as he spoke in the radio. "Edwin! You know the Undersea Manta Ray is off limits!" "Grandpa, we're under attack by some robot squid creatures and we're sinking!" Edwin shouted. "Edwin, if this is some kind of-" "It's no joke, Donovan." Max said as he ushered his friend to the window of the control room, and they gasped when they saw a glowing light from the sea below as several creatures swarmed up into the resort through the hole in the garage.
Overflow uses his jets to catch up to the Manta Ray as he attacked the robot squids attacking, slicing and smashing them. This caught the attention of the other squids as they stopped attacking the sub and rushed after the hero as Overflow glares at them. He then spun in a fast circle and sends out shockwave that blows the aliens back. He then forms a whip with his water and entangles a few, swinging them and smashing them into others. He then punches and kicks some robots that got close to him. Overflow then starts spinning more intensely, creating an underwater cyclone that sends the alien robo-squids, crashing and packing.
Meanwhile, the squids were also attacking the resort, causing the water to leak in there as well, despite the supposed titanium threads lacing the glass. "We've got to evacuate the resort!" Max said as he runs off. "Overrun by aliens…" Donovan pondered. "There goes my five star rating." The owner joins Max as they worked on getting everyone to safety.
Meanwhile, The Manta Ray races against time to get to the resort, but the aliens kept pounding at it. Making it fill up with water, fast. "We're not going to make it back!" Edwin said as Kate got worried, only for her to glance out and smiles at Overflow, smashing through a few robots as he jets towards the sub. He then slices the robots on the glass as Edwin cries out. "Where did that robot come from?!" "Relax! Looks like he's on our side." Kate smiles out. Overflow has drop kick the last one off as the Omnitrix starts timing out, making him swim to the hatch and opens it, squeezing in as he quickly shuts it behind him. FLASH "Man! Talk about close calls." Dan groans out as he exits the chamber.
Edwin drove the Undersea Manta Ray towards the surface and back towards the hotel with the squids following them there as Max and Donovan ran for the garage inside the hotel. Max looked into the water to see the sub closing in on the hotel as he put his hand up. "Get ready to close the door!" He told Donovan as he waited for the precise moment when he would be ready, finger hovering over a button. Once the moment arrived, Max put his hand down. "Now!" Donovan pressed the button and the door closed just as the Manta Ray entered the garage, closing directly on a squid.
Unfortunately, this wasn't enough as the squids finally broke through the glass, causing the garage and therefore, the hotel to start to flood with sea water. This caused an alarm to sound with a red light shining down on them. "We're flooding!" Donovan shouted. "They broke through the glass!" The kids all exit the sub. "I knew you shouldn't have taken it!" Edwin shouted. "'Taken it'?" Ken questions out as Donovan spoke out. "Edwin, quiet! I'm sure it has nothing to do with-" "Taken what, Donovan?" Max asked. "Nothing. Edwin doesn't know what he's talking about!" "How would you know? All you ever hear from me is what you want to hear!" Edwin cries out in anger at his grandfather's stubbornness.
That was when the squids crawled up from the Manta Ray as they all noticed "Let's go!" Max said as they all ran for the elevator as fast as they could with the squids chasing after them until they reached an elevator and they all rushed inside before the door closed behind them, leaving the squids behind. "Donovan, what is going on?" Max askes his friend as Ken spoke out. "I'm starting to think those aliens came to this resort for a good reason." "Okay, I lied." Donovan starts explaining.
"The underwater volcano thing didn't work. The resort was doomed! I was about to become the punchline to a bad joke. Then I found this other energy source on this weird spacecraft way down below the sea. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before." "And I'd bet you anything that those aliens want it back." Kate said. "Yeah, the same ones with the underwater parking lot full of boats and planes." Dan adds out as Ken realizes something about the squids. "They're the reason for the shipwrecks around the Bermuda Triangle! They must have caused them!"
They arrived at the top floor and ran outwards only to see that the flooding and squids had reached this level too, causing them to run down the hallway before they reached another room as Max pressed a button that caused the door to close, just as the wave slammed into the door. "25 years on the job and I never found out who was behind the Bermuda Triangle. And now they're coming for us!" Max shouted. They all ran away from the site before huge dents and flooding formed in the door behind them. They managed to reach the elevator as they strapped themselves in.
"Look on the bright side, Grandpa! You still have 15 resorts worldwide." Edwin comments as his grandfather pulls the lever, making the elevator rises up. But just then, tendrils shows up as the group was surprised, tearing into the platform as it was ripped into 2 as the squid below got crushed. "Donovan! Stop this thing!" "I can't!" The elder cries out to Max in dismay as the kids were barreling down towards the water at high speed. "We're going to be flattened!" "Brace yourselves!" Ken cries out as his older cousin spoke out. "Everyone, cover your heads and brace for impact!" But Dan glances at his Omnitrix and saw it's ready to go, making him quickly hit the core. FLASH
Out of the flash of green light came Astrodactyl, carrying Edwin and Ken in his hands while Kate is being held by his feet. "Wha? Who is?" "Just another good alien, trying to help us." "Hold on!" The hero cries out as he picks up speed as he swerves left and right, dodging tendrils from below the water. Astrodactyl made his energy rings and blasted some of the robot tendrils to pieces. "Nice…" Ken smiles out as Astrodactyl speeds through the tunnel and came across some jet skis. "All right! Now we're talking!"
"Thanks, Dan." The older Tennysons were surprised at Edwin's words as they got a nervous look. "Uhh… That's not Dan." "Really? Good alien heroes shows up, just as your brother vanishes? How dumb do you think I am? How do you do it?" Edwin asked Astrodactyl, as Kate spoke out. "Edwin, that energy orb. If the aliens are after it, we need to get to it first." Astrodactyl spoke out. "Not a problem with my speed!" Only to be grabbed by tendrils and dragged underwater. "DAN!" Ken cries out in surprised. Just as a flash of red light came from underneath as Dan surfaces, taking in deep breaths as he climbs onto his cousin's ski. "I'm fine."
Back on the surface, a intense storm is brewing as Max and Donovan were by the controls. "The Navy's closest sub is in Key West. It could be a half-hour before they are here." "Anyway to communicate with the kids down there?" "No… Already tried, the flooding must have ruined the line." The elder billionaire looks up a picture of him and his grandkid as he stares at it. "Your grandkids really look up to you, huh, Max? What's your secret?" Max responds back. "Well, I don't expect them to be mini versions of me. I let them be themselves, faults and all." 'You mean, you brought them here because they wanted to come and not you did?" "Yeah… This trip was meant for them." Donovan glances down in thought and spoke out. "I can't remember the last time I did something for Edwin that I didn't want to do." He closes his eyes as he sighs out. "I just hope they'll be okay." But Max smiles and places a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry… Grandkids have an amazing way to rise to the occasion."
Back down below, the kids managed to arrive at the generator as Edwin opens it up, revealing a glowing pink sphere inside. "If that orb can power a whole resort, just imagine what those aliens can do with it?" "Stealing all those ships and planes is a good guess." Dan frowns out as Ken spoke out. "Donovan said the ship they came from is wrecked. Maybe those aliens stole all those ships and planes to use them to fix there ship to leave Earth."
Edwin spoke out as he thought of something. "Maybe If we reverse the connections, we can turn it's outward power inward!" "And make the whole resort implode!" "With those aliens in it!" Dan smirks out as well as Ken smile sat Edwin. "Good thinking!" "Thanks… But we still need to get out of here!" "I have an idea." Dan smirks out as his 10-year-old mind has a plan in it.
Edwin got to work on turning the power source into a bomb, but as he kept working, the aliens shows up as the Tennysons noticed! They quickly all drove away as the aliens approached the orb. "How much time do we have?" "Not much!" Edwin responds to the teen of the group. "Okay, get in!" Dan cries out as they approached the large hanging sub from before as Edwin scoffs out. "That's your escape? It's only for show!" But Dan smirks out. "And when I'm done, it's ready to go!" Dan then slaps down on the Omnitrix as it shows Upgrade's icon, turning into the techno alien as the other 3 got in as Upgrade merges with the sub, turning it on as he blasts off from the Resort, just as it explodes!
On the surface, the storms clears up as both Max and Donovan saw the sub emerges from the surface, now back to its original state as all the kids emerges, all okay! The kids got down as Donovan spoke in disbelief. "How did you get that sub to work?! It hasn't run in over 80 years!" "I told you that Grandkids can rises to the occasion, Donovan." Max smiles out as Kate spoke out. "Good news is that the aliens are all gone!" "Bad news is that so is your resort, Grandpa." Edwin spoke out as the elder merely smiles. "Hey, who cares? You're all okay and that's all that matters. You'll have to fill me in on the details, Edwin."
"Most of them." Edwin glances at Dan briefly with a smile and states out. "And it's Eddie, Grandpa." They both hug as the Tennysons watches in cheerfulness at fixing a Grandfather-son relationship. Just then, Dan notices his right cheek is flashing as he notices as he looks back as his family were surprised as Kate got out a compact mirror and shows the boy that a flashing Omnitrix symbol is on his right cheek as his phone ring. "Hello?" "Dan! It's Sunset! I'm over at Princess Twilight Sparkle's Castle by the map and something amazing happened!"
