Once upon a time, approximately 10 years ago, a handsome, young, 11-year-old prince named Prince Adam, was cursed by an enchantress named Agatha; who was disguised as an old beggar woman. She had kindly asked the prince for food and shelter in exchange for a beautiful rose. Seeing her outer appearance, Adam simply rejected Agatha's offer. Because of his selfishness, Agatha had transformed him into a frightful beast. The only way to have the curse be lifted was if Prince Adam could learn to love and earn love in return before the last petal fell from the enchanted rose, which Agatha the Enchantress had left behind as a symbol of time.
After 10 years had passed, the spell that had been casted upon the castle, the staff, and Prince Adam was finally broken by a beautiful young woman named Belle. She was a kind and intelligent 17-year-old book lover who lived in the nearby village of Villeneuve. She had always dreamed of wanting more than what her "provincial life" could offer.
One faithful day after discovering her father's (Maurice's) sudden disappearance in the woods, Belle decided to set out in search of him. As she and her horse, Phillipe, reached the crossroads, she noticed Maurice's footprints led to what looked like a dark section of the forest.
It was very dark and scary, and Phillipe did not want to carry on. But Belle managed to keep going until they reached the castle. Once they had stopped in front of the gates, Belle got off Phillipe and found her father's had lying there. Worried that something had happened to Maurice, Belle made her way inside and tried to navigate through the dark halls. Moments later, Belle found Maurice with the help from two of the castle servants; Lumiere the candelabra and Cogsworth an enchanted clock. He was locked up in the dungeons- cold and looked sick.
Seeing his plight, Belle urged Maurice to come back home and get better. But he, instead, insisted that Belle go back home due to the castle being dangerous. But Belle refused to leave without her father. Suddenly, the Beast appeared behind Belle, looking furious. Belle stated the reason for her presence in the castle, but the Beast had no interest in listening until she offered to take her father's place. Remembering the remedy of the curse, he agreed to her terms. But, he will do so only if she promises to stay within the castle grounds forever. Belle was rather afraid: what would here father do without her being there to take care of him? Seeing that there was no other option as her only wish was to spare her father's life, Belle hesitantly agreed to the Beat's condition.
After seeing her father go without saying 'goodbye', Belle felt really unhappy. The relationship between Belle and the Beast had a rocky start. Eventually, Belle discovered the West Wing of the castle, which was the ONE room that was forbidden for her. Defying his commands out of curiosity, she still went inside. As soon as she entered, Belle noticed how cluttered the room was. As she continued her way across the room, she soon saw the enchanted rose in its beautiful glass dome case. Forgetting what the Beast had said, Belle slowly approached the rose and gently removed the glass case.
Just as Belle was about to touch the precious rose, a large shadow appeared from behind, making Belle turn towards it- it was thee Beast in a very raging state. Feeling betrayed and in a fit of anger, the Beast began to destroy his room in front of her. knowing that what she did was a mistake but still feared the Beast, Belle fled from the castle and headed back into the deep dark woods.
After being rescued by the Beast from a pack of hungry wolves, Belle began to see the Beast's good side and showed him how to be gentle and kind. Shortly afterwards, the Beast had fallen for her. However, their happiness didn't last too long. Finding out that her father was out in the woods all alone and looking very sick, Belle became very worried. Seeing her plight and knowing that she could never love him in return on time, the Beast set Belle free, but gave her the magic mirror so that she will never forget him, and walks away.
Moments later after the fight between the castle staff, the angry mob, Gaston, and the Beast, Belle finally declared her love for the Beast- and just in time before the last petal on the rose fell. Belle Once Belle had said the words, all the enchanted objects turned back into their human forms, including Prince Adam. Belle finally got what she always dreamed of: adventure and romance. She had seen passed Prince Adam's ugly appearance to reveal the true beauty within him. And it was Belle's love that changed him back to his natural form.
The whole castle came to life with rejoicing as everyone watched the happy couple as they danced around the ballroom. From then on, Belle and her beloved prince lived happily ever after...
...Or so they thought. Because everyone knows that the end is just the beginning. Two years later, after the curse had been lifted, Belle and Prince Adam were living happily in their kingdom, in peace and harmony.
And now, the story begins.
