~~Hello everyone, this is my first My Hero Academia fan fiction.
I do not own any characters from My Hero Academia.
Only my original characters belong to me.~~
It was Friday June first, 2018.
I was graduating from eighth grade today.
I woke up 20 minutes before my alarm set for 7:00 AM.
Complete silence filled the room as I laid in bed.
I looked out the window and watched my dogs Tsu and Deku play fighting in the grass.
Deku and Tsu are Bull Mastive puppies.
They will be full grown when they turn three.
I named them after two of my favorite characters from My Hero Academia.
The sight of my dogs playing always made me smile.
I quietly walked downstairs, through the kitchen, and into the dining room.
My older sister Kara was watching Gray's Anatomy in the living room.
That show seriously gives me the shivers.
I imagined Mineta or Kaminari standing beside me to ease my mind.
Kara told me that I was diagnosed with autism shortly after I turned three.
My fear of medical facilities and machinery started when I was little.
I've had traumatic experiences with doctors during a few surgeries.
Since then, I've created a fictional world where my mind can escape to.
Many characters from movies, Tv shows, Anime, books, and video games have entered this world.
Kara suddenly paused the Tv.
"Let the dogs in Sioku," she hollered.
I slowly slid open the glass door.
The dogs ran inside and jumped on me, knocking me to the floor.
I laughed out loud as they kept panting and whipping me with their tails.
My clothes were covered in dog hair.
I gave them a big hug before standing up.
Deku playfully pinned Tsu to the ground with his front paws.
I took a short video of them having a wrestling match.
They growled while playfully nipping at each other.
I took the opportunity to brush myself off while they were busy.
Once Deku and Tsu had settled down, I led them back to my room.
The dogs shook off and then laid down as soon as we entered.
I turned off my alarm and then put on an episode of My Hero Academia.
My heart pounded with excitement as soon as I heard All For One's voice.
I love the battle between All Might and All For One.
He's my favorite villain in the entire series.
Listening to All For One's low, calm voice always made me feel at peace.
I couldn't keep myself from daydreaming about All For One while getting ready for school.
I imagined myself standing beside him while watching their battle.
Deku sat up and shook his head when he heard me slide the closet door open.
"Come here Deku," I said while looking at him.
Deku wagged his tail and walked toward me.
"Good dog Deku," I said.
I petted him as he sat near the doorway.
I then changed into leggings, a blue dress, and grabbed my flat shoes off the shelf before closing the closet.
Afterward, I made TikTok videos of myself while standing in front of the mirror.
Deku and Tsu barked loudly at my reflection.
I couldn't stop myself from laughing.
"Calm down you two," I said.
My little sister Melody heard the commotion and knocked on the door a few minutes later.
"Come in," I hollered.
Tsu and Deku happily ran toward her as she walked in.
She looked at me curiously, "What were they barking at?"
"They saw my reflection in the mirror," I answered.
Our other dog Jersey followed behind her.
Jersey is a Beagle and Cocker Spaniel mix.
Deku stood beside Melody while Tsu and Jersey chased each other around the room.
"Deku come back," I said playfully.
Tsu pulled Jersey under my bed as they continued playing.
Melody laughed while looking at my phone, "You still watch My Hero Academia?"
My face pinked up as I felt a little embarrassed.
"Of course I do,my favorite characters are Deku, Mineta, and All For One. This show is my world right now," I answered.
I sat silently as I saw All For One get knocked out by All Might.
Deku jumped into my lap and then leaned against my chest.
I wrapped my arms around the dog, "I love you Deku."
The dog licked my face in response.
Deku then lowered himself to the floor and shook off.
I put on my necklace and then unplugged my phone from the charger.
Tsu and Jersey bolted out from under my bed holding each end of a pull rope.
"Those dogs are crazy," Melody said as she exited my room.
Deku followed her down the stairs and into the living room.
"I wish I could be All ForOne's rescuer. Saving him would change my life in the best way," I thought.
"Jersey, Tsu, let's go," I called before heading downstairs.
I pulled out my phone and turned on the video camera.
A few seconds later, Jersey dragged Tsu all the way down the stairs.
I laughed so hard as they ran toward me.
Deku came running in and then pushed me over.
I playfully ruffled his fur as he wagged his tail.
"Sioku, go eat breakfast," said Kara.
I frowned at her in annoyance.
Deku and Tsu panted happily as they followed me into the dining room.
"go lay down dogs," said Melody.
The dogs chased each other into the living room.
I brushed myself off before walking to the table.
Jersey curled up under my chair.
She let out a soft sigh.
Melody sat in the chair across from me.
Instead of starting a conversation with her, I just sat silently because of Gray's Anatomy.
As soon as we finished eating, Melody and I grabbed our bags.
"Bye Kara," we said in unison.
"I'll see you girls later," Kara replied.
I gave Deku a big hug before opening the door.
Melody and I waited outside for ten minutes until the bus arrived.
The weather was gorgeous today.
There were no clouds in sight.
All Might's fight with All for One was still fresh on my mind.
I saw my best friend Ariel wave at me as the doors opened.
There were a lot of people talking and laughing at the same time.
"Over here Sioku," Ariel called joyfully.
I happily rushed over to the seat and then plopped down beside her.
Ariel had on pink, sparkly dress shoes, a pink, frilly dress, and a thin, purple cover.
"I'm so glad we're graduating," I said calmly.
"Me too, this year has been rough," she replied with a sigh of relief.
I still had so many different thoughts running through my mind at once.
Ariel smiled brightly at me. "Summer break is finally here!"
"Well, I just can't wait to relax and watch Anime," I replied plainly.
The energy that I had a moment ago suddenly vanished.
I stayed silent while listening to the constant chatter around us.
Ariel curiously looked at me. "Hey, why are you so quiet this morning? You're usually very talkative."
"I'm just lost in thought about All For One," I answered with slight embarrassment.
Ariel laughed awkwardly in response.
"I still can't believe that you have a crush on the main villain of the series," she teased.
Internally, I felt flustered by her comment.
I looked at her with a saddened expression.
The feelings I had for him were clearly pouring out.
"I know that All For One looks old and unattractive, but I don't" care. I just love the sound of his voice and how calm and collected he is," I said while blushing.
"All For One is my least favorite character. I've had a crush on All Might since the day I first watched My Hero Academia. My favorite villain is Shigaraki," she replied.
Ariel and I curiously listened to the TikTok videos playing behind us.
I redirected my focus back to Ariel as a thought suddenly crossed my mind.
"Hey Ariel, I've been having dreams about waking up with a quirk," I said with a hopeful expression.
Ariel's eyes widened as she looked worried at me, "I'll be jealous if that really happened! What quirk do you get in your dreams?"
"A healing quirk similar to Recovery Girl's," I answered.
"What quirk would you want Ariel?" I asked curiously.
"K9 Transformation, it would be really cool if I could turn into any type of dog that I imagine. I love all dog breeds," she answered happily.
I then turned away and pulled up my favorite scene from My Hero Academia on YouTube.
Mineta's reaction to the villains' appearances made me laugh out loud.
Ariel looked at the video and also laughed out loud.
"Oh my gosh I love Mineta! He always cracks me up," she said with a grin.
"Me too," I replied while scrolling through the videos.
"Kaminari acts the same way," she added.
Suddenly, the jewel on my necklace began to glow as I watched the YouTube video.
Ariel looked down at the glowing object and gasped in amazement. "Sioku, what is that?"
"I don't know," I answered frantically.
The glow then faded as I closed my YouTube app.
"I wonder what that was all about," said Ariel with a blank expression on her face.
"Yeah, that was very strange," I replied in utter shock.
I now had so many questions in my head about the jewel's mysterious glow.
"Hold on," I said suddenly, "I have to show you a funny video of my dogs."
I sent her the video of Tsu being pulled down the stairs by Jersey.
Ariel's face turned bright red as she laughed hysterically.
"I love your dogs," she said as tears poured from her eyes.
I nodded my head in response.
"I have two big dogs named Rocky and Bailey. They're very playful and rambunxious. Rocky is a Yellow Lab, and Bailey is a Pit Bull. One time, Bailey knocked over my soda while jumping up on the couch," she explained.
I giggled while picturing the incident in my head.
"I wish I was there to see that," I replied with a grin.
I looked out the window and noticed that we had just pulled into the school's parking lot.
Once the isles had cleared out, Ariel and I stepped off the bus and walked toward the front gate.
I suddenly felt a rush of hyper energy flowing through my body.
Ariel smiled playfully at me. "Sioku, are you thinking about All For One again?"
"I sure am," I answered cheerfully.
I blushed in embarrassment as people stared at me.
"Let's go run around the field. That will get your energy out for sure," Ariel suggested.
I smiled competitively at her. "I'm ready for this!"
instead of going to the picnic tables, Ariel and I walked up a long ramp that led to an enormous, grassy field.
"Whoever runs four laps around this entire field wins," I said as we entered.
Ariel gave me a competitive look.
"Game on Sioku! Just don't let All For One cause you to be over confident," she replied teasingly.
I just grinned at that in amusement.
I then stood beside her near the entrance, "Ready, set, go!"
Ariel immediately took off once I gave the signal.
Without thinking, I bolted ahead of her as soon as I had the opportunity.
All for One's voice echoed in my head.
My hyperactivity caused me to run faster than usual.
I used that hyper energy to my advantage.
My long ponytail floated in the wind as I continued running.
I was able to stay ahead of Ariel during the first lap.
The rapid pounding in my heart caused me to slow down and catch my breath.
Ariel took off as soon as she saw me slow down.
"I wish All For One was here to cheer me on in person," I said weakly.
The bell rang during our third lap.
We carefully headed toward the gate while trying to catch our breath.
I thought about All For One's voice to keep myself from losing hyper energy.
"It's time to go to class now Ariel," I said quietly.
"This was a great workout," she replied before laughing.
I nodded in agreement while still panting.
Ariel and I stopped at the drinking fountain before going to class.
Many conversations began at once as I entered the room.
The teacher didn't really have a lesson plan.
Everybody just visited with each other and played on their phones.
I watched My Hero Academia to pass the time.
My necklace glowed a second time, causing me to look down at it in surprise.
I anxiously hid the jewel under the collar of my dress.
Luckily, no one paid attention to me.
Two hours passed, and then everyone was instructed to head down to the field.
There were seven rows of chairs in the grass.
Ariel sat beside me in the fourth row.
I looked at her with a concerned expression.
"Ariel, my necklace glowed again in class," I whispered.
She paused at that in complete shock, "Oh my gosh, did anyone see it?"
"No, they were too busy," I answered with a sigh.
Ariel let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank God," she said quietly.
Ariel was the only person who knew about this mysterious situation.
I looked to my right and saw Kara sitting in the bleachers with her friends.
The graduation ceremony lasted about three hours.
There were a few people who cried.
Most of the students bolted off the field after the ceremony.
I still couldn't stop thinking about why my necklace was glowing.
Ariel and I met Kara at the bleachers as soon as the field was cleared out.
"Hi Kara," I said happily.
"It's nice to see you again Kara," continued Ariel.
Kara gave us a hug before grabbing her bag.
"Congrats girls, you definitely earned it. Sioku, I have a gift for you when you get home," she replied proudly.
I smiled at Kara and then back at Ariel.
"I'm really excited," I shouted with glee.
Kara then waved at us as she walked away in a hurry.
"I bet I know what Kara is giving you," Ariel whispered.
A feeling of joy washed over me as I playfully slapped her shoulder, "Stop it, you're making me excited!"
Ariel just giggled in response.
We followed the other students to the lunch room.
The excitement about Kara's gift was building up inside my mind.
Ariel happily lifted me up and then spun me around.
I didn't care who stared at us.
After ordering our lunch, Ariel and I sat down at a picknick table in the quad.
"Somebody's watching My Hero Academia tonight," said Ariel as she stared at me.
She laughed while watching my face turn bright red.
"Stop it Ariel," I shouted back before laughing.
Ariel then pulled up All Might's fight with All For One on YouTube.
My necklace started glowing again.
She leaned over to get a closer look at it. "Wo Sioku, what's up with that?"
"The glow didn't start happening until this morning," I answered in confusion.
My mind almost drifted off to My Hero Academia, but I distracted myself by watching TikTok videos.
"I'll ask Kara if you can come over," I said happily.
I then sent Kara a short text message asking her for permission.
Ariel threw her arms around me, "Oh that will be awesome! I'll" be able to see what Kara will give you."
A notification popped up on my phone with a message that read, Yes.
"She said yes," I shouted with joy.
Ariel checked the time on her phone.
"The bus comes after lunch today," she hollered.
After lunch, Ariel and I walked up the bus ramp with other students following behind us.
The bus arrived a few minutes later.
Ariel and I sat in the seat behind the bus driver.
"Deku might jump on you when we come home," I said.
"Don't worry, I'm used to it. I'm excited to see Deku anyway," she replied with a smile.
We overheard a heated argument between two girls in the seat behind us.
The yelling caught everybody's attention.
"If I ever meet All For One someday, I'm sure he would love to hear this," I said to myself.
I pulled out my phone and audio recorded the arguement.
I tried so hard not to giggle during the recording.
The argument escalated into a full-on fight.
Everybody stood silently as they watched.
The bus driver jumped in and broke it up.
Both girls were escorted off the bus by the school officer once everyone had settled down.
"I've seen worse fights than that," said Ariel.
"Their argument reminded me of The Bad Girls Club," I replied before laughing.
I couldn't help but continue to laugh at the complete silence after that fight.
Ariel and I stayed quiet during the bus ride.
The bus pulled into our driveway a half hour later.
I led her to the door after we stepped off the bus.
Melody immediately disappeared into her bedroom once we were all inside the house.
Deku jumped on me as soon as I approached the living room.
I gave him a big hug and ruffled his long fur.
Ariel pulled out her phone and started taking pictures of Deku and me.
"Send me those pics Ariel," I said.
"Already on it," she replied.
Ariel quietly walked into the dining room.
She placed her bag under the table before sitting in one of the chairs.
Deku stared at me when he felt the vibration in my pocket.
He lowered himself to the ground before shaking off.
"Let's go Deku," I said while walking into the living room.
Deku followed me to the couch while wagging his tail.
He jumped up beside me as soon as I sat down.
I wrapped my arms around the dog as he climbed into my lap.
He laid his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes.
I made a TikTok video of Deku sleeping on me.
He let out a relaxed sigh.
Kara was watching The Big Bang Theory on Tv.
I affectionately petted him while listening to the theme song.
The tune sounded very catchy.
"Hey Kara," I said.
"Hello, your gift is on the kitchen counter in a grocery bag," she replied.
I gave her an anticipated look.
"Thanks," I added.
The gift wasn't my main focus at the moment.
I turned my attention to the Tv as Deku peacefully slept.
"My gift can wait," I thought.
Sheldon caught my interest right away.
He looked and sounded very attractive.
I couldn't help but laugh at his odd behavior.
My mind drifted off as I watched the show.
I suddenly felt all my worries disappear at once.
That same dreamy feeling slowly washed over me.
I was falling in love all over again.
Kara noticed me watching the Tv.
"Take Ariel to your room. You're not allowed to watch this show," she said firmly.
My smile faded instantly after I heard that.
"Joy killer," I whispered.
I turned to her in annoyance, "Are you serious? Why?"
"This show is rated Tv14," she answered in irritation.
I chose not to back down and glared at her, "That doesn't matter anymore Kara. Why do you care about what I watch?"
She paused the Tv and slammed the remote down on the table in frustration.
"You repeat everything you hear on Tv Sioku! The characters mention some things that you haven't learned about yet," she yelled back.
"I don't do that anymore! I'm not the child that I used to be. Please give me just one chance Kara," I said while trying not to fall apart.
She just glared back at me. "No, I don't trust you."
Tears welled up in my eyes as I looked down at Deku.
A feeling of sadness washed over me.
"I wish you weren't so hard on me," I said weakly.
In that moment, I felt my spirit shatter completely.
"Let's go Sioku," said Ariel from a distance.
Deku lifted his head and shook his ears.
I let out a disappointed sigh, "I understand, just yell if you need me."
Deku jumped off the couch and then walked slowly toward his water bowl.
I dejectedly walked into the kitchen and then grabbed my gift from the counter.
Inside the plastic bag was My Hero Academia: Season Two on Dvd.
I showed no sign of excitement.
Ariel and Deku ran after me as I reluctantly headed up the stairs.
Tsu roughly dragged Deku into my room by his collar.
I gently closed the door behind us.
Deku growled playfully while jumping over her.
Jersey barked loudly as she circled around them.
Ariel giggled at the sight of them playing.
"They're so adorable," she said.
I just nodded my head in agreement.
She took a video of the dogs on her phone.
I changed out of my graduation outfit and into regular clothes.
Afterward, I walked to my bed and then plopped down.
I lowered my head and sighed in disappointment.
Ariel gave me a worried look as she sat next to me.
"I can't remember the last time I saw you act this way Sioku," she said sadly.
"You can blame my sister for this," I grumbled back.
I hopelessly set my new DVD's on the nightstand with no interest in watching them.
Deku climbed up on the bed beside me.
I hugged him tight as he leaned against my side.
Ariel sniffed the air, "Something smells good. We should probably go to the dining room."
I sighed heavily in deep thought.
"Let's go Deku," I said quietly.
Deku hopped off the bed and then walked toward the door.
"I'll let the dogs outside for you," Ariel said cheerfully.
"Thanks," I replied before leaving.
Jersey, Deku, and Tsu followed behind Ariel as she raced down the stairs.
I quietly walked down a few minutes after her.
The Big Bang Theory was still playing on Tv.
My heart felt like a heavy weight had been dropped into my chest as it sank.
Ariel happily led the dogs out the back door.
I then walked dejectedly toward the kitchen.
Luckily, I was quiet enough to avoid Kara's attention.
Ariel and Melody joined us a few minutes later.
We prepared our plates and then sat down at the table.
I glared at Kara before taking a seat beside Ariel.
Melody looked at Kara with a worried expression. "What's wrong with Sioku? Is she not feeling well?"
I stared off into space while listening to their conversation.
"She's upset because I won't let her watch The Big Bang Theory," Kara answered in irritation.
Melody stared at me and sighed. "Oh she'll get over it soon. Sioku always finds new movies and Tv shows to watch."
Ariel watched My Hero Academia memes on Tiktok.
I just looked away in utter despair.
Usually, I would be reading them before laughing out loud.
Everyone was shocked by the sudden change in my mood.
Kara glared at me in annoyance.
"This has gone on long enough Sioku! It's just a Tv show. Quit acting like a baby," she yelled.
Both Melody and Ariel were stunned by Kara's outburst.
I felt the heat of embarrassment rising in my cheeks.
Ariel continued looking at her phone.
I rose from my chair without a word.
Melody stared awkwardly at me as I carefully placed my dishes into the sink.
I then walked back up the stairs and into my room.
My room was completely silent.
I sat silently on my bed for a half hour lost in deep thought about what happened.
All for One's voice echoed in my head again.
I smiled warmly as I thought of him.
Thinking about All for One always lifted my spirits.
"Sioku! Get your behind in here and do your chores," hollered Kara from downstairs.
I sighed heavily in annoyance as I stood up.
Once again, I walked downstairs and into the kitchen.
Kara had already finished wiping down the dinner table.
Melody was putting the food in containers and then placing them into the fridge.
I quickly unloaded and loaded the dish washer.
I watched the dogs chase each other around the yard to entertain myself.
Afterward, I hand washed the remaining dishes.
Kara wiped down the counters as soon as we finished.
"You should let the dogs in Sioku," said Ariel.
I just nodded my head in response before walking toward the back door.
I then slid open the glass door and whistled for the dogs.
Once inside, Jersey ran up the stairs and into Melody's bedroom.
Deku and Tsu joyfully tackled me to the floor.
They brushed up against me while wagging their tails.
I suddenly felt myself starting to perk up.
A joyful grin wiped across my face.
"These dogs always pull through for me," I whispered.
Ariel laughed hysterically while taking pictures.
She closed the glass door behind me knowing that I was preoccupied with the dogs.
"I'm guessing these dogs can sense when you're upset," she said.
I slowly stood up and then brushed myself off.
"I totally agree with you Ariel. Let's go back to my room," I replied calmly.
Ariel and I walked upstairs with the dogs following behind us.
The dogs bolted inside my room as soon as I opened the door.
They shook off as Ariel carefully closed it behind us.
Tsu walked over to the dog bed and then laid down.
I put my necklace on the table and then changed into my PJ's.
"Now that you're feeling better, we should watch My Hero Academia," Ariel suggested.
"Okay, but I need to brush my teeth first," I replied.
Deku followed me into the bathroom and then sat beside the tub.
The Big Bang Theory was still fresh on my mind.
I brushed my teeth at the sink for two minutes.
That thought suddenly vanished as I heard Tsu barking loudly as she ran laps around my room.
Ariel made a TikTok video of her playing rough with Tsu.
I giggled at the sound of Tsu's loud bark.
It was the perfect distraction for me.
"Come on Deku," I said while walking back to my room.
Deku quickly raced after me while wagging his tail.
Tsu playfully growled while chasing Deku around the room.
I walked over to my bedside table and then unwrapped the new DVD's.
Ariel took a few pictures of me opening them.
She smiled brightly at the case. "I've been looking forward" to this all day!"
I nodded my head in agreement.
"You guys should probably settle down now. I'll let you place the disk inside my DVD player Ariel," I said.
Tsu laid back down in the dog bed.
Deku climbed up on the bed beside me.
We settled in as Ariel played the Tv show.
She situated herself on the sofa near my closet.
My necklace glowed once again, this time even brighter than before.
I sat completely still while looking at it.
"Is my life about to change? I don't understand this mystery," I said to myself.
The glowing light illuminated my entire room.
My room looked as if there were a bunch of lamps on at the same time.
The glow began to fade as the theme song ended.
"I can't believe that this has happened four times already," I said quietly.
"I have a feeling that your necklace is very special," Ariel replied.
I curled up around Deku while watching the show.
Ariel fell asleep after the first episode.
Thinking about the mysterious glo from my necklace made it difficult for me to fall asleep.
I stood up and then switched the disks.
The Big Bang Theory theme song played over and over in my mind.
"Kara won't know if I watch it outside this house," I said to myself.
I walked back to my bed after playing the DVD.
Deku lifted his head as soon as I approached him.
I rubbed his head while situating myself.
Watching the final exam arc caused me to drift off almost instantly.
