~~Hello good people, I'm here with a new chapter.

I don't own any characters from My Hero Academia.

Only my original characters belong to me.~~

My alarm woke me up at 7:00 AM.

A huge grin wiped across my face.

Talking to Shinso again was all I could think about.

I grabbed my necklace from the bedside table and then put it on.

Deku lifted his head and shook his ears.

"Good morning Deku," I said with a smile.

I gave him a hug and then patted his head.

He jumped off of my bed and then walked toward the door.

I happily watched as he chased his tail.

"Oh Deku," I said before laughing.

I then hopped out of bed with pure joy.

My excitement about starting school at UA was beginning to take over.

"I can't wait to see Shinso on the bus," I whispered.

I happily danced around the room.

Tsu woke up and let out a loud yawn.

"Good morning Tsu," I said before giggling.

I then took a picture of her cute, tired face.

This dog was just so adorable.

She shook off before joining Deku by the door.

"I'll take you guys out after I get dressed," I said.

They just looked at me while wagging their tails.I changed into my school uniform.

I then brushed my hair and pulled it up into a high ponytail.

Many thoughts about my new medical class were racing through my mind.

I still felt unsure because of the surgical trauma that I've been through.

I smiled while thinking about Shinso.

"If this training doesn't help me conquer my fears, nothing will," I said to myself.

The dogs wrestled each other as I approached the door.

"Come on dogs," I said cheerfully.

They immediately rushed downstairs as soon as I opened the door.

I quickly followed after them.

Once downstairs, I Looked up at the clock, and it read: 7:45.

Melody met me at the bottom of the staircase with Jersey following behind her.

I ruffled Jersey's fur as she walked passed me.

"Good morning Melody," I said with a smile.

"Hey Sioku, I bet you're excited about UA. I hope you enjoy your first day of high school," she replied.

"Thanks," I added.

Jersey barked loudly while circling around Deku and Tsu.

I made a few TikTok videos of the dogs.

"Jersey," hollered Kara in annoyance.

I couldn't help but chuckle at that.

I then raced over to the back door where all three dogs were waiting for me to let them outside.

They impatiently wagged their tails against the glass.

"Go out," I said after sliding the glass door open.

I then shut the screen door so the house could air out for a while.

The dogs ran around the yard while barking.

"Those dogs are crazy," I said before laughing.

"You could say that again," Melody replied.

She then walked back upstairs and into her bedroom.

I prepared breakfast for myself and then sat down at the dining room table.

Shinso was fresh on my mind.

I texted Ariel during breakfast.

It was 8:25 by the time I was finished.

I cleaned up the kitchen and then wiped down the dining room table.

Then I grabbed my bag from the closet.

"Bye Kara," I said.

"Have a good day Sioku," she replied.

I walked out the door after putting on my sweater.

Once outside, I walked quickly to the bus stop.

The wind blew my hair around as I kept walking.

"Hitoshi Shinso," I whispered.

My heart pounded as joyful energy rushed through my body.

Luckily, the bus stop wasn't far away.

I found a brick planter and sat down while breathing heavily.

The sun was beating down on my back.

A few minutes later, I saw Ariel walking toward me.

"Hey Sioku," she called out.

I stood up and then hugged her tight.

"I missed you Ariel. I'm so glad that we're going to UA together," I replied in excitement.

"I'm going to be in Class 1A," she added.

We heard footsteps coming toward us from the right.

"Hey you two," a voice happily called out.

That male voice sounded very familiar to me.

I suddenly felt warm and fuzzy inside.

"I think that's Shinso," said Ariel.

I nodded with a hopeful expression.

"You like him," she teased.

"Awe come on Ariel," I groaned.

She just laughed out loud in response.

I felt a blush come to my cheeks as he stepped closer.

Then I recognized his beautiful, purple eyes and indigo hair.

Shinso smiled as he approached me.

He took a seat on the planter beside me.

A feeling of elation washed over me as I felt his calming presence.

"Good morning Shinso," I said with a smile.

"Hello Sioku," he replied politely.

"I forgot to ask you if we can exchange contact information yesterday," I said while pulling out my phone.

"Sure," he simply replied.

Ariel and I exchanged our contacts with him.

Shinso's pleasant nature caused my anxiety about medical training to be completely non existent in this moment.

I put my arm around him, "Did you get into UA?"

"Yes," he answered, "How about you?"

"Of course," I answered cheerfully.

"I got in as well," Ariel added.

I looked up at the clear sky as we thought of our next topic.

Sitting beside Shinso was definitely pure bliss.

"I wish this wonderful moment could last forever," I said to myself.

I looked curiously at Shinso, "I'm in one of the support classes. What course did you get into?"

"The support course in Class 1C," he answered.

We enjoyed the fresh air for five minutes.

The bus pulled up into the parking lot in front of us.

I followed behind Shinso as he stepped on after the doors opened.

We took a seat behind the driver.

Ariel waved at us before moving to the back.

I looked over at Shinso who had a playful smile on his face.

"Hey Sioku," he said happily.

"What's up Shinso," I replied.

"I thought hard about what you told me yesterday. I know exactly how you can watch The Big Bang Theory," he answered.

My ears perked up at the sound of that title.

I smiled awkwardly at him, "What do you mean? Is that really possible?"

He passionately took my hand and held it firmly in both of his.

Shinso's warmth caused my mind to go completely blank for a minute.

I blushed as my heart began racing.

The energy between us felt so real.

"Of course it's possible to watch that show. I'll bring you season one of my DVD set tomorrow," he answered happily.

I let out a nervous laugh while still blushing.

"Oh you don't have to do that," I said.

Our conversation was suddenly interrupted.

We heard the same people rudely talking about Shinso again.

This time, their voices sounded louder than before.

Their dirty looks toward Shinso turned into stares of pure hatred.

It seemed like they wanted us to acknowledge them.

Shinso just looked out the window to distract himself.

"How did that villain get into UA?" "He should have been expelled after the quirk exam yesterday!" "When will that stupid boy learn that he is not a hero?" "We'll just have to get rid of him ourselves."

I almost couldn't believe what I had just heard.

That last comment sent chills rapidly crawling up Shinso's spine.

The heat of intense fear rose in his face.

He looked terrified and nauseated.

Shinso tensed up while breathing heavily.

I watched horrified as sweat dripped from his forehead.

He tried to hold back the tears caused by their hurtful words.

Unfortunately, they just poured out profusely.

I hated seeing him like that.

My heart sank for this poor boy.

I could tell that he was having a panic attack.

My relation to Shinso became clear as day.

"Shinso," I called out.

There was no response from him.

I pulled Shinso into a loving embrace and held him tight.

He laid his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes.

I felt him shaking uncontrollably in my arms.

"It's okay Shinso, I'm right here. I'll take you straight to Recovery Girl's office as soon as we get to school," I whispered.

I watched him drift off as he started to relax.

"Shinso is so adorable," I said while smiling.

I carefully pulled out my phone and then took pictures of him sleeping on me.

"He is a cute sleeper," I whispered.

Then I put on my favorite song from My Hero Academia.

It's called MightU.

The melody and lyrics are very relaxing.

I sang to Shinso wile stroking his hair.

This moment was absolutely beautiful.

Holding Shinso like this was a dream come true.

I've always wanted to help somebody with their fears.

I finally found an opportunity to show somebody who I am.

"I'm glad I found you Shinso," I said before kissing his cheek.

I kept my focus on Shinso for the remainder of the ride.

The bus pulled into the school parking lot.

I looked out the window and admired those beautiful rose bushes.

Shinso was still fast asleep on me.

My whole body felt numb.

I carefully adjusted my sitting position to prevent myself from startling him.

"Wake up Shinso," I softly whispered.

He slowly opened his eyes and then straightened himself up.

I let him use my shoulder for balance.

He still looked drained from his panic attack.

"Thank you Sioku," he said softly.

Hearing his calm voice made me very happy.

"It's no problem at all Shinso. I love helping you," I replied.

We waited until everyone was off the bus.

I put my arm around Shinso, "Are you able to walk right now?"

"I don't have enough energy," he answered.

I helped him climb onto my back And then carefully stepped off the bus.

Shinso closed his eyes to avoid the sun's brightness.

Crowds of people carelessly pushed passed us on our way to the school building.

I pushed the door open and ran inside.

Shinso looked around in confusion.

I struggled while speed walking to Recovery Girl's office.

My determination to help Shinso kept me focused.

We eventually reached the entrance to her classroom.

"Recovery Girl," I frantically called out.

She came running toward me, "It's good to see you again Sioku. What's the matter Dear?"

"Hitoshi Shinso got sick from having a panic attack on the bus," I answered.

Recovery girl lifted him up off my back and over her shoulders.

"Let's go Darling," she said.

I followed her to one of the beds.

Then I helped her get him situated.

"He looks dehydrated," said Recovery Girl.

Seeing Shinso like that tugged at my heart.

I looked at her with a saddened expression, "I don't think my quirk will help in this situation. May I please stay by his side?"

"Of course Dear, I'm sure he'd appreciate that. I recognize this boy from the middle school that I worked at. He came in here many times because other kids would hurt him for no reason at all. Hitoshi talked to me about ending his life to get rid of that brainwashing quirk. He believes that his quirk will only destroy him," she answered with sympathy in her voice.

A ball of emotion formed in my throat.

I took a seat next to the bedside while holding his hand firmly.

I felt the heat of utter shock burning through my body.

Tears welled up in my eyes after I heard that story.

My emotions exploded as I took in her words.

"Shinso is a kind person. He would never hurt anybody. It's not right to judge people by their quirks," I said sadly.

"I know Sioku," she replied.

She checked Shinso's vital signs and then placed an IV line into his arm.

I was too worried about Shinso to acknowledge the beeping monitors.

"I'll always be here for you Shinso," I said softly.

"He's very lucky to have a sweet girl like you in his life," said Recovery Girl.

"Thank you," I replied quietly.

I sat by his side for a half hour.

A text message from Ariel popped up on my phone: Where are you Sioku?

I messaged back: I'm in Recovery Girl's office. Shinso is sick from a panic attack.

Ariel replied: I'll be there.

Shinso slowly woke up and looked at me.

"Sioku," he whispered.

His face lit up with pure joy.

I leaned over him and touched his forehead.

I noticed that his panic attack had completely disappeared.

"Hey Shinso," I said while smiling at him.

Recovery Girl examined him again and then removed the IV line.

"You look much better young man," she said.

"Thank you," he replied.

I carefully helped him sit up.

He definitely looked well to me.

I was relieved to see that Shinso was healthy again.

Ariel walked in a few minutes later.

"The orientation starts in five minutes," she said.

"Thanks Ariel," I replied in relief.

Recovery Girl and I helped Shinso get back on his feet.

Then I grabbed our bags off the floor.

"Sioku, please take good care of Shinso. He's going through a tough time," said Recovery Girl to me.

"He's in good hands," I replied with a smile.

Shinso and I exited the room with Ariel following behind us.

He showed no interest in having a conversation.

Ariel looked at me concerned. "Hey Sioku, what happened earlier?"

"People were bullying Shinso on the bus again. Then he had a panic attack. Luckily, I was there to comfort him. I rushed him straight to Recovery Girl's office as soon as we got to school. He was nauseous and dehydrated. Recovery Girl told me a heartbreaking story about Shinso while he was being treated. My emotions exploded right in front of her," I answered sadly.

"I'm really sorry Sioku," she said sympathetically.

"I'm so glad we met," I replied.

"You two are destined for each other," she added.

I just blushed in response.

Shinso laughed at the sight of my red cheeks.

"At least we made him laugh," I said happily.

We reached the gym with two minutes to spare.

This place was huge and crowded.

Shinso and I found a row of seats in the back.

"I need to go sit with my class," said Ariel.

"I'm sure the students will love you as much as I do," I replied cheerfully.

She smiled at me before walking away.

A loud, male voice rang through the gym, causing everyone to jump.

"Good morning UA," the man shouted.

Everybody cheered crazily in response.

I looked over to the stage and saw Present Mic standing there.

He was a tall man with greenish yellow eyes and long, blond hair.

He wore knee high boots, black pants, a red belt, a black jacket with a tall collar, fingerless gloves, elbow pads, a directional speaker around his neck, and a pair of headphones.

There were studs all over the top half of his outfit.

"This man looks cool," I said.

I stood up and waved at him.

Shinso just looked around.

Back in my seat, I put my arm around Shinso to help him feel more secure.

"Let's get this party started! I'm proud to present someone who got in by recommendation! Katsuki Bakugo," Present Mic called out.

The boy with spiky, blond hair walked onto the stage.

"We met him at the cafe yesterday," I said while pointing at him.

He stood before the audience and glared.

"I'm only here to beat everybody and become the number one hero," he said plainly.

I paid no attention to his comment.

A group of people whispered to each other in response.

"It's time to go to your first class everyone," said Present Mic.

He stepped off the stage and then exited the gym.

More people walked out the door in single file lines.

Shinso and I looked up at the board on the wall next to us.

"Ariel and I have English first period," I said.

"I have math first," he replied.

I hugged him tight in reassurance. "Don't worry Shinso, I'll see you during passing period."

He smiled at me as I slowly let go of him.

"Please be careful Shinso," I said before walking away.

He picked up his bag and then walked out the door.

I quickly made my way through the huge crowds while trying to find Present Mic's classroom.

Ariel met me beside a drinking fountain near the dining hall.

"Hey Sioku," she said happily.

"I'm so glad we have first period together," I replied.

We followed a group of people toward a set of classrooms.

Present Mic was standing in front of a door ahead of us.

"Come in everyone," he said.

I really enjoyed the liveliness in his voice.

Ariel and I found seats in the back of the room.

I sighed heavily while lost in deep thought.

"I hope Shinso is doing okay," I said with a worried expression.

Ariel gave me a reassuring smile.

"I'm sure he's fine," she replied.

It wasn't long before everyone was seated.

Present Mic began the lecture by introducing himself.

Then he explained the class rules.

Ariel watched as I grinned at the sound of his voice.

A feeling of great joy washed over me.

I couldn't help but focus on him.

His outgoing personality brightened up my mood.

Afterward, he dismissed us for free time.

There was constant chattering around us.

I read a fan fiction on my phone.

Ariel watched TikTok memes about My Hero Academia.

As soon as the bell rang, Ariel and I headed to our next class.

Shinso met us at the door to Recovery Girl's classroom.

He threw his arms around me.

"Hey Sioku," he said with a grin.

I smiled while hugging him tight.

"Hi Shinso," I joyfully replied.

I was relieved to see that Shinso was doing okay.

Ariel curiously looked up at him. "How did your first class go Shinso?"

"Very well," he simply answered.

Ariel pointed at me while giggling.

"Sioku has a crush on Present Mic," she teased.

Shinso laughed out loud in response.

I felt the heat of embarrassment rising in my cheeks.

"Say what? That's not true," I shouted.

Ariel and Shinso laughed out loud again.

I saw Recovery Girl walking toward us.

"It's good to see you again Recovery Girl," I said with a relieved smile.

She pulled out her keys and then unlocked the door.

"It's good to see you as well Dear. Come in and have a seat Sioku," she kindly replied.

I waved at my friends before following her into the room.

It was now time for my first medical class.

I wasn't too worried because Shinso was fresh on my mind.

A few students entered the room after me.

I took a seat in front of the blackboard.

Recovery Girl happily stood at her desk.

"Welcome to my classroom everyone," she said.

She explained the class rules and regulations.

I pulled out my notebook and then wrote everything down that was displayed on the board.

I found it easy to stay focused on her lectures.

Class was dismissed an hour later.

I grabbed my bag and then walked out the door.

Ariel came running down the hallway.

She had a wide grin on her face.

"Sioku! We have the same PE class," she called out.

I screamed joyfully while hugging her tight.

"This is so awesome," I said.

"I don't know what PE class would be without you," she replied.

We made our way to the gym before the final bell rang.

Our PE teacher escorted everyone to the bleachers.

This man was none other than All Might himself.

"I am here," he said before laughing.

I was very excited to meet him in person.

His friendly personality melted all of my worries away.

He explained the rules and then instructed us to line up outside.

We walked up a ramp that led to an enormous field.

"I'll be testing your running speed today. You must run a full mile around the track in 12 minutes or less," he said.

I took a few sips of my water and then set the bottle down on the picnic table.

"I've got this in the bag," I whispered to Ariel.

She just grinned at me in response.

Everybody gathered at the starting line.

"Go," shouted All Might.

I took off as soon as everyone started moving.

All I could think about was the Big Bang Theory in that moment.

The theme song was playing in my head.

I remembered what Shinso had told me on the bus this morning.

His words motivated me to bolt passed the other students.

All Might gave me a thumbs up as I ran by.

"That little girl just ran a whole lap in two minutes," he said in admiration.

All Might's praise encouraged me to keep running at the same pace.

I had no intention of slowing down.

My heart pounded rapidly, but I didn't let it bother me.

I had just reached the one lap mark a second time.

I suddenly started panting very hard.

My face was covered in sweat.

"I'm going to faint if I keep this up," I said to myself.

I quickly slowed my run down to a jog.

My heart rate decreased back to normal as I jogged a third lap.

Luckily, I still had enough hyper energy to help me finish the mile.

My time was currently nine minutes.

I took in a deep breath.

"This is my last lap," I said confidently.

Without thinking, I picked up speed.

My mind was racing in all different directions.

I couldn't control my excitement.

It wasn't long before I reached the starting point a final time.

I was very weak and completely out of breath.

Both my breathing and heart rate were difficult for me to control at the moment.

Sweat dripped from my forehead as I coughed.

I tried to calm myself down by thinking about My Hero Academia.

Ariel caught up to me after finishing her mile.

She had a worried expression on her face.

"You need to sit down Sioku," she said with concern in her voice.

Unable to speak, I just nodded in agreement.

She carefully led me to the bleachers.

I felt very dizzy while walking.

A cool breeze blew over me as I sat down which felt very refreshing.

I was finally able to relax and pull myself together.

My energy slowly started to return.

I suddenly felt a spark of hyperactivity flare up in my mind.

All Might walked up to me a few minutes later.

I grinned and jumped up with excitement.

"Hey All Might," I said.

He placed a hand on my shoulder.

"That was some impressive running out there kid. You ran that mile in ten minutes," he said with a smile.

I slumped down and laughed nervously. "The credit goes to my stubbornness. I'm always trying to do everything right and prove my worth to others."

He looked surprised at me.

My last comment had him in shock.

"You're an amazing young lady Sioku. Don't let anybody try to change who you are," he replied softly.

That complement made me feel warm inside.

I felt as if Shinso was there beside me.

"Thanks All Might," I said before hugging him.

He dismissed us as soon as everybody finished their last lap.

Ariel and I waited until the field was clear.

"Sioku! You really had me worried back there," said Ariel with deep concern.

"I'm sorry Ariel. I just couldn't hold back and mess up my first test at UA," I replied frantically.

She gave me a concerned look, "Are you aware that your body is too small to handle all of the strain you're putting on it? I just don't want you to push yourself too hard! I might end up losing you one day."

"You don't need to worry about that Ariel. I'm not going anywhere. Kara would kill me if I failed any test in school. My academic performance is all she cares about. She's very tough on me," I explained fearfully.

Ariel's face saddened as she looked down at me. "How tough is she on you Sioku? Are you in any danger?"

My mind flashed back to a huge blowout that happened between Kara and me in the beginning of May.

Tears filled my eyes as the incident played in my head.

"She could get very aggressive with me. Melody is always her favorite, and they mostly never get in fights. Melody is allowed to watch whatever Tv show she wants. If she has low grades, Kara will calmly encourage her to keep trying. Kara is the complete opposite with me," I answered sadly.

She pulled me into a tight hug.

A horrified expression wiped across her face, "You're my best friend Sioku. We've known each other for seven years now. Why haven't you told me any of this yet?"

A feeling of guilt washed over me.

"I don't want you to get involved in my family drama. This is for your own good Ariel," I answered remorsefully.

"Kara is always nice to me," Ariel said happily.

I let out a heavy sigh.

"That's because she is fake. Besides, she only lets you over when I have perfect grades," I replied while glaring.

"That is so unfair," she said angrily.

I suddenly felt my stomach growling.

"We should probably go now,"I said quietly.

Ariel and I walked over to the drinking fountains.

I checked the time on my phone, and it was 12:30.

"We should go to the dining hall Sioku," she said.

"My thoughts exactly," I replied before laughing.

We walked behind a large crowd of people.

Shinso met us at the dining hall's entrance.

His graceful presence lifted the dark cloud of sadness that hovered over my heart.

I joyfully threw my arms around him, "Shinso! I'm so glad to see you."

Hyper energy rushed through my body once again.

He laughed at my reaction.

"I'm happy to see you too Sioku," he cheerfully replied.

"Hi Shinso," said Ariel.

"Hey Ariel," he replied.

After ordering our food, we found a table in the back.

Shinso looked curiously at me. "Sioku, how have you been today?"

"I'm already exhausted," I answered with a sigh.

"Sioku and I just ran a mile around the track," Ariel added.

"My first day is going well," said Shinso.

My conversation with Ariel at the field had me lost in thought.

We had a few minutes of silence.

I looked over at Ariel, "What is your next class?"

"I have hero training with Mr. Aizawa," she answered.

"Really? I heard that he is very strict," I replied.

In the midst of our conversation, we heard a loud explosion.

I looked behind me and saw a fight between two male students.

I immediately recognized their different hair colors.

Shinso had no interest in watching their battle.

He became startled and started shivering violently.

"Calm down Shinso," I said softly.

I shielded him from the blond haired boy's raging flames.

"Those boys are in my hero class. Their names are Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo," said Ariel while pointing at them.

We felt the intense heat coming from Katsuki's quirk.

"Shinso and I met them at the cafe yesterday. Katsuki attacked him for no reason," I sadly replied.

"Hey! Break it up you two," a voice called out.

The boys were then dragged away with a cloth wrapped around them.

"Shinso wiped sweat from his face.

I pulled him into an affectionate embrace.

"It's okay Shinso, the fight is over now," I whispered.

He let out a sigh of relief.

"I wonder who broke up that fight," said Ariel.

I smiled while looking at Shinso.

"Whoever did that really saved this kid's life," I replied.

I slowly let go of him before standing up.

We heard the bell ringing over the speaker.

"I'll see you guys later," I said.

"Bye Sioku, replied Ariel.

Shinso waved at us before walking away.

I walked out the door and then entered the school building.

It was time for math class.

Math was always my least favorite subject in school.

I walked into the first classroom on the left.

More students entered the room after me.

I found a seat in the back right corner.

All I could think about was Shinso's safety.

Being far away from him really worried me.

Our teacher introduced herself and then explained the class rules.

Then she gave us the rest of the period to talk to each other.

I noticed a cheerful girl walking up to my desk.

She had a wide grin on her face.

This girl wasn't much taller than me.

She wore wide, knee high boots, black tights, a two piece belt around her waist, a black full-body suit with various colored designs, circular wrist guards, a thick choker around her neck, and a helmet with a tinted visor on her head.

"Good afternoon Mis, my name is Ochaco Uraraka," she said.

I loved her smile; it was so adorable.

"Hello, my name is Sioku. It's a pleasure to meet you," I replied.

She looked curiously at me, "What is your quirk Sioku? Mine is zero gravity."

I looked at her with admiration, "Wo, that is awesome! My quirk is cell activation."

"So you're a healer," she said.

I just smiled at her in response.

Her face suddenly pinked up, "Do you like anyone at this school so far?"

I shook while blushing at her question.

"I already have feelings for a kid named Hitoshi Shinso," I answered.

My face turned bright red after realizing that I told her out loud.

I tried not to attract any attention to myself.

My embarrassment was clearly taking over.

People stared at me, but I was too busy freaking out to notice.

Ochaco laughed, "Oh my gosh, you have the cutest red face ever!"

I couldn't help but laugh with her.

Being around Ochaco was quite enjoyable.

Ochaco gave me a jealous look.

"I saw you guys sitting together at lunch. He looked so cute in your arms," she said.

I felt my stomach tie up in a knot.

I gasped in complete surprise, "Ochaco! Please don't say that again."

That same feeling of embarrassment was coming back to me.

I put my head down and then let out a distressed sigh.

She placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't feel too bad Sioku. I like a boy in my hero class named Izuku Midoriya. I call him Deku," she said happily.

Hearing that name caused me to freeze up.

My mind flashed back to that fight during lunchtime.

"Wait a minute," I said, "Is Izuku the boy with green hair?"

She blushed at my description.

I giggled while looking at her face.

"Yes," she answered.

"I healed him in Recovery Girl's office yesterday. You and I are similar," I said before laughing.

The bell rang again, and I got ready to go.

"Bye Ochaco," I said.

"I'll see you tomorrow," she replied.

I exited the classroom after everybody else.

I quietly walked through the hallway.

My conversation with Ochaco in math class had me lost in thought.

I was still feeling embarrassed about revealing my feelings for Shinso right away.

Ariel met me outside the door of Mr. Aizawa's classroom.

"Hi Sioku," she said.

I was so happy to see her.

My worries had been lifted once again.

"Hey Ariel," I replied before hugging her.

"We have the same computer class," she said.

"Awesome," I replied joyfully.

We stopped by the vending machines on our way to class.

I bought a bottle of soda.

"I'll sit next to you," said Ariel.

"Sounds good," I replied.

We walked down a long hallway and then entered a large classroom.

Tables and computers were lined up on all four walls.

Ariel and I found a row of seats at the back of the room.

I looked at the computer in front of me while waiting for class to start.

I suddenly felt someone tap on my shoulder.

"Sioku," the voice whispered from behind me.

I immediately recognized that kind, male voice.

I turned around to see Shinso standing there.

He looked happy as could be.

I gasped happily and jumped up from my seat. "Shinso!"

We laughed and hugged each other tight.

It felt great to see him so full of joy and energy.

"I really surprised you," he said.

"I'm glad you did," I replied before laughing.

He took the seat to my left.

A group of students entered the room.

Our teacher was standing in front of a small projector.

"Good afternoon class," she said.

"Good afternoon," we replied.

She handed out packets for us to take home.

"Today, you guys will start with typing lessons. Please sign in and begin," she said.

Then she sat down at her desk.

Everybody talked amongst themselves while doing so.

I looked at Shinso before putting on my headphones.

As I signed in, I waited anxiously for what this typing program had in store for me.

A familiar title popped up on the screen: Type to Learn.

The air around me grew thick as I heard that dreaded voice playing in my head.

My mind flashed back to elementary school.

I remembered having to use this program almost every day.

This moment really made me feel uneasy.

I quietly gasped in complete shock.

"This can't be happening," I said to myself.

All of that joy I was feeling suddenly faded away.

I shivered slightly with a look of hesitation on my face.

My heart pounded rapidly as if I had just woken up from a nightmare.

Shinso noticed my fear and placed a calming hand on my shoulder.

"I'm right here if you need me Sioku," he whispered.

"Thanks Shinso," I said.

His reassurance calmed me down quite a bit.

I took in a deep breath and then proceeded with my lesson.

Knowing that Shinso was around helped me stay focused.

The female voice was still freaking me out.

I just forced my fears down with a smile.

We typed until class was over.

I finished lessons one through 15 with perfect accuracy.

Ariel looked over at my computer screen, "Wo, that is impressive. You did better than me Sioku!"

"Thanks Ariel," I replied.

I breathed a sigh of relief as soon as the teacher dismissed us.

Still shaking, I slowly stood up and then pushed in my chair.

Shinso reached his hand out to me, and I gratefully accepted it.

Ariel, Shinso, and I exited the classroom.

Then we headed outside for some fresh air.

The weather was fabulous today.

I was so happy to be away from that computer.

Shinso led us to a beautiful garden behind the school building.

He pointed at a wooden bench surrounded by flowers.

I sat down between Ariel and Shinso.

"This place is so peaceful," said Ariel.

"I found this garden after lunch while taking a walk," Shinso replied.

My mind drifted back to those typing lessons for some odd reason.

I breathed heavily while thinking about that unpleasant voice.

Sweat dripped down my face as I tried to shake it off.

My emotions quickly built up inside me.

I was no longer able to keep my composure.

A small lump formed in my throat.

Ariel looked at me concerned. "What's wrong Sioku?"

I was unable to respond at the moment.

Tears welled up in my eyes.

I was a complete mess inside and out.

Shinso looked at me with a saddened expression.

He was shocked to see me like that.

I allowed Shinso to pull me closer to him.

"It's okay Sioku," he said softly.

I wrapped my arms around him.

The lump in my throat grew bigger as I tried to hold back my tears.

I suddenly broke down in his arms.

He rubbed my back while whispering reassurances to me.

"I'm terrified of that typing program. It gives me constant nightmares," I answered sadly.

"That's odd," replied Ariel.

Ariel didn't know anything about this, so she was confused.

"I don't know how a typing program would scare you," she said.

I had no idea what to say to her.

My mind was blank at the moment.

I calmed down after a few minutes in Shinso's comforting embrace.

He helped me get back on my feet.

I smiled at Shinso while slowly letting go of him.

"Thank you Shinso," I said with a sigh of relief.

"Any time Sioku," he replied.

We heard the bell ringing from a distance.

"I hope you feel better Sioku," said Ariel.

"Thanks, I'll see you guys on the bus," I replied.

I waved at them before walking back to the school building.

It was finally my last class of the day, Earth and Planetary Science.

I was already over this day because of Type to Learn.

I took a deep breath and smiled.

After a quick drink at the water fountain, I entered another classroom.

I heard many conversations going on at once.

There was a big group of people crowded around a desk.

I took a seat at a table near the back left corner.

A muscular boy with spiky red hair sat across from me.

He wore dark red shoes and a UA uniform.

I felt warm inside as I looked at him.

This boy's lively presence was my perfect distraction.

"Hello sir, my name is Sioku. I like your hair," I said.

"Thank you Mis, my name is Eijiro Kirishima. It's nice to meet you," he replied.

I perked up at the sound of his voice.

A spark of hyperactivity lit up in my mind.

He placed his hand on mine, "Hey, I couldn't help but notice that you were looking sad earlier. Is everything all right?"

"Yes," I answered.

Kirishima's touch made me feel very relaxed.

I focused on him in order to keep my mind off of computer class.

He reminded me of Shinso.

"I'm here if you want to talk," he said.

"Thanks Kirishima," I replied.

Kirishima's voice was loud enough to temporarily drown out the frightening sound of Type to Learn.

I let out a sigh of relief.

Everyone found their seats and then sat down.

The teacher introduced himself and then took attendance.

Then he explained all of the rules.

I was able to focus on the lecture without any problems.

Afterward, he let us talk amongst ourselves.

A joyful feeling suddenly washed over me.

My heart felt lighter than a feather.

I curiously turned to Kirishima, "What quirk do you have?"

"My quirk is called hardening. It allows me to harden my skin," he answered.

"Wow, that is awesome. I have cell activation," I replied.

"You have a manly healing quirk," he added.

I laughed out loud in response.

He just grinned at me.

The happiness that I lost earlier started coming back to me.

I was finally having fun.

Meeting Kirishima was definitely the highlight of my day.

"I like lifting people's spirits when they're down," he said.

"I could tell," I replied.

The bell rang a few minutes later.

Kirishima and I exchanged our contact information.

"Thank you for cheering me up Kirishima," I said.

"You're welcome Sioku," he replied.

I gave him a hug before walking out the door.

I exited the school building and then headed up the bus ramp.

Ariel and Shinso were waiting at the picnic table.

I cheerfully ran up to them, "Hey guys!"

They were surprised by my sudden bubbliness.

"Hi Sioku," said Ariel.

"It's good to know that you're back to normal Sioku," said Shinso.

I hugged both of them tightly.

"Thanks," I replied.

Ariel turned to me, "How did your last class go?"

"Great! I met a guy named Eijiro Kirishima. He cheered me up right away," I answered.

Ariel gasped happily, "I know him! He's really nice and funny."

I grinned as my mind flashed back to our conversation.

"He called my quirk manly," I said before laughing.

Ariel and Shinso laughed out loud in response.

The bus pulled up a few minutes later.

I stepped on after Shinso and Ariel.

Shinso and I took a seat behind the driver.

Ariel sat in the seat across from us.

Shinso just looked out the window and kept to himself.

"Hey Sioku, I started watching another Anime last night. It's called Haikyu," said Ariel.

Shinso and I shared a look.

I curiously smiled at her, "I've never heard of that Anime. What is it about?"

"It's about these volleyball players in high school. My favorite characters are Hinata and Nishinoya," she answered.

"I'll check it out," I said.

I pulled out my phone and then logged onto Netflix.

I typed Haikyu in the search box.

After reading the description, I started watching the first episode.

Hinata's cute voice and personality made me laugh out loud.

He reminded me so much of myself.

The episode ended as soon as the bus pulled up to my stop.

I happily grabbed my bag and then stood up.

"I'll see you guys at school tomorrow. Thank you Ariel," I said.

"I hope you enjoy it," she replied.

I stepped off the bus and then joyfully ran toward my house.

Deku jumped on me as soon as I opened the door.

"It's Good to see you Deku," I said.

I hugged him and then kissed his head.

Tsu and Jersey were chasing each other through the house.

I laughed when they ran passed me.

Kara paused the Tv, "Hi Sioku, how was your first day of school?"

"It was quite an adventure," I answered.

I opened up my bag and then handed all of my class packets to her.

"Thank you Sioku," she said.

"I'll be in my room if you need me," I replied.

I walked up the stairs with Deku running behind me.

He followed me into my bedroom.

I hung up my jacket and bag in the closet.

I then changed out of my school uniform and into regular clothes.

Afterward, I sat down on my bed.

"Come here Deku," I said.

Deku calmly walked over to the bed and then jumped on beside me.

He climbed into my lap and then sat down.

His long fur felt good against my skin.

I put on Haikyu and then wrapped my arms around Deku.

Deku let out a soft sigh.

Listening to Hinata's voice again made me very happy.

I was no longer thinking about that unpleasant computer voice.

This was the moment that I've been waiting for all day.

I relaxed as Deku fell asleep on me.

All of my worries were finally disappearing one by one.
