~~Hello readers, it has been a long time since I've updated this story.
I do not own anything from My Hero Academia.
Only my original characters belong to me.~~
My friends and I had just finished eating lunch at the dining hall.
I started to feel nervous as I walked down the hallway toward computer class with Ariel and Shinso.
Looking up at the ceiling, I let out a heavy sigh in distress.
A small pit of anxiety formed in my stomach.
I tried to shake it off but to no avail.
The pit grew larger as that dreaded robotic voice echoed in my head on repeat.
I tried staring at Shinso as a way to distract myself, but it didn't work.
Ariel noticed my complete silence and spoke up first. "Hey Sioku, are you all right?"
"You seem to be bothered by something," added Shinso with concern in his voice.
I lowered my head in disappointment.
"I'm so over Type to Learn," I answered.
Shinso put a calming hand on my shoulder. "I know Sioku, just hang in there a little longer. This will all be over soon, I promise."
The boy's gentle touch and reassuring words did ease my mind a bit.
"Besides, you only have a few more lessons left to complete. Shinso and I will be right there by your side," continued Ariel in a cheerful tone.
"Thanks Ariel, I really needed that. You two are the best," I replied in a happier tone.
My friends pulled me into a tight hug.
I grinned and hugged them in return.
Their embrace was exactly what I needed to calm my anxiety.
Ariel patted my head as we slowly broke the hug.
Shinso opened the door and held it for us.
"You're a true gentleman," I said to him.
"I agree," replied Ariel.
"Thanks girls," he said with a slight blush.
I couldn't help but giggle at the sight of Shinso's red cheeks.
"Shinso is so adorable," I thought.
I gracefully walked inside the classroom and found my seat in the back row of tables.
Ariel and Shinso joined me shortly after I situated myself.
Their presence felt very soothing to me.
Many conversations began at once as people entered the large classroom.
I was about to slip into my thoughts when I suddenly felt my phone buzzing in my pocket.
Being the curious person that I am, I decided to pull the phone out of my pocket and check it.
I also wanted another distraction from my upcoming assignment.
A text message from Tomura read: Sioku, will you be available after school?
I smiled at that and answered: I'll ask Kara for permission to leave.
Tomura then replied: I want you to meet somebody if you do come over.
I let out a dreamy sigh as I slipped the phone back into my pocket.
"What are you smiling about?" asked Ariel as she turned to me.
She clearly noticed the sudden change in my mood.
A playful grin was present on Ariel's face.
"My friend just texted me," I answered, trying to hide the excitement in my features.
Shinso saw right through it and started laughing.
"Awe, Sioku is in love," he teased.
Ariel giggled as my cheeks turned red and began to heat up in embarrassment.
I immediately jumped up from my seat and slapped Shinso on the shoulder.
"You cut it out! That's not true," I hollered.
My friends continued to laugh, causing me to lower my head and groan in annoyance.
I then slumped down into my chair.
"We still love you Sioku," said Shinso.
"He's right," Ariel added.
I just smiled back in response.
Our teacher's voice then entered the space.
She instructed us to pick up from our previous lesson.
I took a deep breath before logging into my profile.
My smile disappeared as I scrolled through the menu.
"Thanks for ruining my mood Type to Learn. You win again," I said sarcastically.
"It's okay Sioku," Shinso assured.
I gave him a friendly nod before reluctantly turning back to my computer.
Fortunately, I only had five lessons left.
Shivers crawled up my spine as I silently watched the introduction video.
That female, robotic voice still sounded absolutely terrifying to me.
I just wanted to be far away from it.
Then I remembered the text message that Tomura sent me a few minutes ago.
My fear was slowly replaced by curiosity.
"You saved me again Tomura. Thanks," I thought with an excited grin.
I thought about All for One's soothing voice to drown out the frightening sounds of this program.
Those typing lessons took a long time for me to finish because they were more difficult than the previous lessons.
As much as I wanted to quit, I just couldn't do it.
I pushed myself to complete the remaining lessons.
As soon as the final typing lesson was finished, I grinned and let out a sigh of relief.
"It's finally over," I whispered.
Ariel looked over at my monitor as I saved my progress.
"Congratulations," she said proudly.
"Thank you," I simply replied.
"Nice work Sioku," said Shinso as he patted my head.
I gave him a hug in response.
Knowing that I was finally done with Type to Learn brought a joyful smile to my face.
~Time Skip to The End of School~
I walked out of the school building and started looking for Ariel and Shinso.
To my annoyance, I couldn't see through the large crouds of people in my way.
Just when I was about to turn around, I heard a familiar voice calling out to me. "Sioku, over here!"
I knew right away that the voice belonged to Ariel.
"Ariel," I called back.
I turned away from the crowds and started racing toward her.
"Hey Sioku," called Shinso.
I finally found my friends near the bus ramp.
"I'm sorry for being late. Kirishima and I got caught up in a conversation," I said before giggling.
"No worries," replied Ariel.
Shinso threw his arms around me as I approached them.
I laughed and returned the hug.
"I figured you needed it," he said before releasing me.
"Sioku, what do you have planned for after school?" asked Ariel.
"I'm hoping to go see my other friends today," I answered in excitement.
"That sounds like fun," she replied cheerfully.
"You deserve a break," added Shinso.
I nodded my head in agreement before replying, "My completion of Type to Learn is worth celebrating."
My friends and I boarded the bus as soon as it arrived.
I pulled out my phone and sent a text message to Tomura: I'm almost home.
Tomura replied: Hopefully I'll see you later.
My heart began to flutter as I looked out the window.
I just couldn't contain my growing excitement about Tomura's new visitor.
I then watched videos to pass the time.
The bus reached our stop after a half hour.
My body trembled with joy as I resisted the urge to run down the isle.
I immediately stood up as I heard the doors open.
Ariel and Shinso just watched me in confusion.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow," I said before running off.
"Good luck," hollered Ariel.
"Have a good time," added Shinso.
After stepping off the bus, I sprinted toward my house.
The dogs barked loudly as I approached the front door.
I pushed open the door and ran inside.
"Good afternoon everyone," I said, happiness present in my features.
"Hi Sioku," replied Melody.
Tsu and Deku panted and joyfully knocked me to the ground as usual.
Jersey kept barking as she ran circles around us.
I laughed and hugged my furry friends tightly.
"Settle down Jersey," I said.
"How was school?" asked Kara.
"Very good," I answered.
Once the dogs had settled down, I released them and pulled myself up off the floor.
"Let's go outside," I hollered.
The dogs followed me as I led them to the back door.
They took off as soon as I slid the glass door open.
I then made my way back into the living room.
Standing beside the long couch, I looked at Kara with a hopeful expression. "May I please go hang out with my friends today?"
Kara turned away from the Tv and looked at me. "Yes, but you need to be back home by 6:00."
"You have my word," I replied.
"I mean it Sioku, don't be late. I'm trusting you to be responsible," Kara said seriously.
I checked the time on my phone, and the screen read 2:30.
"I won't disappoint you Sis," I replied.
Kara gave me an approving nod before turning her attention back to the Tv.
I waved to my sisters as I walked out the front door.
My mind was only filled with happy thoughts as I headed toward the train station.
Type to Learn had been completely wiped away.
The train wasn't there by the time I reached the station, so I started pacing around.
Tomura's new visitor was all I could think about.
I boarded the train as soon as it arrived.
After situating myself, I sent a message to Tomura: I'll be there soon.
Tomura replied: I can't wait to see you.
I then closed my eyes and slipped into peaceful thoughts about my friends.
This moment allowed me to let go of everything and be free from all of the stress caused by computer class.
I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts when the train came to a stop.
My eyes widened as I looked out the window.
A feeling of excitement washed over me.
Without thinking, I exited the train.
I then made my way toward the warehouse with a feeling of pure determination.
I slowed down as I approached the mettle doors.
To my surprise, the doors opened revealing Kurogiri standing in the entrance, a friendly smile on his face.
"Hello Kurogiri," I said politely.
"Good afternoon Sioku," he replied.
He then let me walk inside before closing and locking the doors behind us.
"Sioku, how have you been lately?" Kurogiri asked as he turned toward me.
"I've been okay," I answered.
"Tomura and All for One are waiting for you," he replied.
Kurogiri and I then proceeded to walk toward All for One's room.
My body trembled with joy as we reached our destination.
He knocked on the door. "Master, this is Kurogiri. Sioku is here to see you."
"Come in," replied All for one from inside.
Kurogiri slowly opened the door, and I gracefully entered the room.
My smile grew wide as I saw both All for One and Tomura walking toward us.
"Hey people," I hollered in excitement.
"Hello Sioku," replied Tomura.
All for One raced forward and embraced me.
His gentle touch made me feel safe and secure.
I wrapped my arms around him in return.
"I've missed you Sioku," he softly whispered.
"I missed you too," I whispered back.
This man's affection was the highlight of my day.
I snuggled into him and closed my eyes.
My bad thoughts were instantly cleared away.
"All for One, how did you know I needed this from you?" I asked before laughing.
The man gently ruffled my hair. "I sensed that you were upset as soon as you walked into this room."
"That is one of the reasons why I love you," I replied.
The man just chuckled in response.
Tomura and Kurogiri watched us from a distance.
They seemed interested in our interaction.
All for One then released me as he spoke. "Sioku, I would like to introduce you to somebody."
My face lit up as I quickly pulled away.
I gasped at that in realization. "Oh yeah, Tomura messaged me about it earlier."
All for One chuckled as he walked away.
I stood silently while staring at Tomura.
He then returned happilly with another man standing behind him.
Tomura waved at the man before turning his attention back to All for One.
The man just ignored him and focused his attention on me.
I couldn't help but remain still and study the new guy's features with full concentration.
This man was tall with white hair and turquoise eyes.
There were patches of purple skin all over his neck and the lower part of his face.
He wore dark dress shoes, dark blue pants, a grey belt with a circular pattern, a plain pale gray, scoop-neck shirt, and a dark blue jacket with a high, ripped collar.
"I'll leave you two to get acquainted," said All for one as he walked away.
Kurogiri followed after All for One, leaving Tomura in the room with us.
Tomura then walked toward the opposite side of All for One's room.
I turned to the man and stood up straight. "Hello sir, my name is Sioku. Who are you?"
"I go by Dabi," he answered.
A spark of pure joy suddenly ignited in my heart.
I was immediately attracted by Dabi's low voice.
A feeling of elation washed over me.
My confidence quickly faded as I stepped closer to him.
I anxiously started to tremble.
Just being in his peaceful presence made me feel happy but nervous in a good way.
My hands began to sweat as I rubbed them together.
I felt my heart race as I looked up at him.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Dabi," I replied shyly.
"Same to you Sioku," Dabi said as he looked down at me with a blank expression.
I giggled as a slight blush came to my cheeks.
Dabi then walked over to the sofa and sat down.
I couldn't help but follow and sit down next to him.
This man didn't look good at all.
I had a feeling that he needed help.
"Excuse me Dabi, are you okay with me sitting here next to you?" I asked softly.
"Sure," he simply answered.
Something about this man told me that he wasn't very social, given his quiet personality and speaking of only a few words.
Still, I wanted to know more about Dabi in order to help him come out of his shell.
My elation suddenly turned into a feeling of deep concern when I got a closer look at the purple patches of skin on Dabi's face.
"This doesn't look good," I sadly thought.
Dabi and I sat in silence as I took in his appearance.
I wanted to fully understand Dabi's personality and eventually become a friend who he could trust.
To my surprise, Dabi decided to start a conversation with me. "Sioku, what are you doing here? Aren't you a high school student at UA?"
Listening to Dabi speak to me caused my heart to race even faster than before.
I blushed and let out a nervous laugh.
"Yes, but it's not what you think. I don't plan on telling anybody about this place or the people in here. You can count on it," I assured.
However, my answer didn't seem to ease the man's suspicions at all.
Dabi only gave me a questioning look. "Sioku, why did my comrades bring you here?"
His tone sounded a bit more impatient this time.
I put my hands out in defense, trying to hide my growing excitement about his voice.
My first objective was to ease his mind.
"Dabi, please listen to me. You guys have nothing to worry about," I said smoothly.
I suddenly felt the air grow thick around him.
He sighed roughly before replying back, "I don't know if I can trust you Sioku! How will I know that you won't report us to the pro heroes later on?"
My face saddened as I looked at Dabi, anger now present in his features.
I desperately wanted to calm his agitation.
"I should've brought Deku here to see him," I thought.
Taking a deep breath, I cleared away my fears of upsetting him any further.
My voice came out even more gentle than before. "This may sound crazy to you Dabi, but Kurogiri brought me here for a good reason. He watched me try to heal somebody at USJ. My quirk is cell activation. I can heal people who are injured just by touching and focusing my energy on their wounds. Tomura, Kurogiri, and All for One have been great friends to me for a month now."
There was a brief period of silence between us.
Dabi then lowered his eyes and took a moment to process what i had just said to him.
The anger in Dabi's expression was now replaced by a look of curiosity.
"Wait Sioku, are you the one who fully healed All for One?" he asked.
"Yes, I did," I answered with an accomplished smile.
A long period of silence passed us as Dabi thought to himself.
Dabi leaned back on the sofa and sighed.
The tone in his voice sounded less agitated than before. "Well Sioku, I'm okay with you visiting us as long as you keep your promise."
Hearing Dabi say that caused my heart to jump out of my chest.
I almost couldn't believe it.
A wide grin was present on my face as I stared into his beautiful turquoise eyes.
"Thank you so much Dabi, I will never let you or anybody else down. You can trust me," I said sincerely.
The tone in Dabi's voice then shifted to one of utter seriousness. "I mean it Sioku, you better stay loyal to us. There will be dire consequences if you don't."
I sat still as I took in the man's threatening words.
Fortunately, my calm demeanor didn't change at all.
"Please calm down Dabi, I completely understand the situation," I said softly.
Dabi started to relax as he slowly took in my gentle expression.
I felt very thankful that Dabi was now starting to trust me.
Dabi then moved closer to me which was totally unexpected.
My smile grew wider as I felt him lean against my side.
This moment was too good to be true.
I really thought I was dreaming.
He then looked down at me with a softer expression.
The anger had completely disappeared, revealing a look of sadness.
The tone in his voice sounded both gentle and sad. "Sioku, you remind me of somebody from my past. She was sweet and kind like you. I can't help but wonder if I'll ever see that woman again."
My eyes widened as I took in his words.
Tears lined the corners of Dabi's eyes as he spoke again, his voice breaking with every word. "Sioku, I... I didn't mean to get frustrated with you. You did nothing wrong. I have a hard time trusting people."
I felt all of his emotions coursing through me as I listened intently.
Without thinking, I wrapped my arms around the man and held him tight.
Dabi accepted the embrace and laid his head on my shoulder.
My mind flashed back to when I held Shinso on the bus.
"Dabi, I apologize for making you upset. Don't worry, I'm not mad at you. I know what it's like not being able to trust people. You're not alone," I softly whispered.
Dabi only nodded at that.
I gently placed my hand against his face to hopefully bring him some comfort.
My gentle touch seemed to calm him down quite a bit.
Dabi paused at that, a small smile appearing on his face.
I patted his head in relief knowing I had cheered him up a little.
"Somebody used to do that to me whenever I was upset," he said softly.
My face lit up at that, causing me to smile brightly. "Really? Who"
"Yes, but I cannot tell you yet," he answered.
"I do that to calm my friends down whenever they're distressed," I replied.
A thought crossed my mind as I looked down at my phone.
I frantically pulled the object out of my pocket and checked the time.
Luckily, it was only 4:00.
"What was that all about?" asked Daby as he pulled me closer to him.
"I need to be home by 6:00," I answered with a heavy sigh.
Dabi shook his head in exasperation. "Will someone be upset if you're late?"
"My older sister Kara will be furious if I show up late," I answered before laughing.
Dabi put a hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry, she sounds rough. Now I know to be careful around her."
I couldn't help but giggle at his comment.
Dabi smiled back in response.
I was happy to see him brightening up.
"Hey Dabi, what is your quirk?" I asked curiously.
"My quirk is known as cremation. I can attack my opponents with blue flames," he explained.
"Wo, you have blue flames? That's so awesome," I cheerfully replied.
Dabi's face saddened as he looked down at the patches of purple skin on his neck.
"What's wrong?" I asked in concern.
"My quirk is also extremely dangerous to me. I don't have any resistance to my fire. These patches of skin are the burn scars this quirk has left on me," he sadly explained.
I stared at the man in total disbelief. "You burned yourself with your own quirk?"
"Unfortunately yes," he answered.
"That's terrible," I sadly replied.
I held him closer to me as he continued. "Sioku, you're the only person who knows about this. My past is very difficult for me to talk about."
"I understand," I whispered passionately.
Knowing that Dabi trusted me with part of his past brought a warm feeling to my heart.
Dabi and I relaxed as we stayed in our position.
This beautiful moment with Dabi was exactly what I needed to forget all about Type to Learn.
I could no longer hear that robotic voice in my head.
"Sioku, thank you for your support. It means a lot to me," he replied.
I looked down at my phone a second time, and the lock screen read: 4:30.
We heard the sound of footsteps coming in our direction.
I looked up to see All for One walking toward us.
He had a proud smile on his face.
"Hello All for One," I said happily.
"Hey Sioku, I'm glad to see that you two are getting along," he replied.
I curiously looked around the room. "Where did Tomura go?"
"Tomura and Kurogiri had some important business to attend to," he answered.
"Oh that's a shame," I said.
Dabi then turned to All for One with an apologetic look. "Excuse me sir, I didn't trust Sioku's intentions right away. Please forgive me."
"It's all right," All for One replied softly.
I smiled at the forgiving tone in All for One's voice.
"I already forgave you for that silly," I said as I playfully poked him in the side.
Dabi chuckled at that as he ruffled my hair.
A joyful grin wiped across my face as a thought crossed my mind. "Wait Dabi, I have something to thank you for. All of my worries vanished as soon as I met you in this room. Thank you for allowing me to speak with you."
"You're welcome Sioku," he replied smoothly.
Dabi and I slowly released each other before he stood up from his spot.
He then looked toward the door.
I curiously looked up at him. "Hold on Dabi, where are you going?"
"I'm just going for a walk," he answered.
I quickly stood up and threw my arms around him. "In case I don't see you again today, good bye for now. I'll miss you so much. Please be safe and take care."
"You do the same," Dabi replied as he patted my head.
I giggled as a slight blush came to my cheeks.
He smiled back in response.
I watched as Dabi disappeared from my sight.
"That man is so wonderful," I dreamily thought.
All for One then plopped down on the couch beside me.
He placed a hand on my shoulder. "You really care for him, don't you?"
My eyes widened at his question as I smiled.
A warm feeling coursed through my body.
"Yes, thank you for introducing me to Dabi. You really made my day," I answered sincerely.
"You're most welcome," he replied.
I pulled out my phone again and checked the time.
My lock screen read: 5:00.
"I need to start heading home now," I said.
"You may return at any time," All for One replied.
I gave the man a hug before standing up.
"Have a good evening," I said as I released him.
"You as well Sioku," he replied.
He then led me out of the building before closing and locking the doors behind him..
I then made my way back to the train station.
Dabi's voice echoed in my head as I thought about him.
I was already starting to miss him.
Sighing to myself, I decided to brush it off and focus on going back home.
I boarded the train as soon as it arrived.
There weren't many people on the train.
I decided to watch videos to distract myself from the emotions building up inside me.
Once the train came to a stop, I quickly exited and headed down the sidewalk.
I heard the joyful sound of my dogs barking as I approached the front door.
My furry friends immediately surrounded me as I cautiously opened it.
I couldn't help but laugh at their excitement.
The dogs panted and ran circles around me while wagging their tails.
I led them back inside the house before closing the door behind me.
"Hello everyone," I said cheerfully.
"Hey Sioku, replied Melody.
"You're here early," added Kara.
I just nodded before happily leading Tsu and Deku up to my bedroom.
Tsu laid down in the dog bed and fell asleep.
After closing the door, I hung up my bag in the closet.
I then followed Deku to my bed and plopped down on it.
A million thoughts about Dabi raced through my mind all at once.
He has been on my mind since I left the warehouse.
Deku jumped up and sat down beside me.
I then pulled him into a loving embrace.
The dog snuggled into me as I held him close.
"Oh Deku, I wish you were there to meet Dabi. You two would've loved each other," I said softly.
Deku and I relaxed as we sat in silence.
I then slipped back into pleasant thoughts about my conversation with Dabi.
Being around that man was like watching the stars on a peaceful summer night.
I could still hear Dabi's whisper-like voice in my head.
It was one of the most peaceful sounds I had ever heard in my life.
I was suddenly brought back to reality by a soft knock on my bedroom door.
Deku shook his ears in response.
I giggled as I gently patted the dog's head.
"Come in," I hollered.
My door slowly opened revealing Melody standing in the entrance.
"We need to go help Kara make dinner," she replied.
Tsu lifted her head and stared at Melody.
"Oh okay," I said before yawning.
I gently nudged the dog to get off of my bed.
Deku stood up on all four legs and then hopped onto the floor.
He shook off before walking toward the door.
"Hi Deku," said Melody as he passed her.
Melody then turned around and headed downstairs.
I calmly stood up and also headed for the door.
"Come on Tsu," I called out.
Tsu quickly rose from her bed and ran toward me.
"Let's go," I said happily.
The dogs bolted after me as I walked down the stairs.
I couldn't help but laugh at their excitement.
"Let's go outside," I called to the dogs once I reached the bottom step.
Jersey barked loudly as she circled around Tsu and Deku.
Tsu and Deku nipped at her in response.
"Shut up dog," hollared Kara.
I then raced my furry friends toward the back door.
The dogs whimpered at me while wagging their tails.
"Go out," I said after sliding the glass door open.
They immediately took off outside as a cool breeze lightly blew in.
After closing the door, I quietly made my way into the kitchen where Melody was waiting.
Melody and I immediately got started with the dinner preparations.
A favorite song played in my head as I helped Melody gather supplies and ingredients for our meal.
Kara walked into the room a few minutes later.
I paused as she walked up to the counter.
Melody still kept her focus on making dinner.
"Hello big sis," I said with a bright smile.
"Did you have fun with your friends?" she replied.
"Of course I did," I answered happily.
I then twirled around in a circle, a dreamy expression now crossing my features.
Melody gave me an awkward look. "Sioku, do you have a crush on one of your friends?"
I nervously froze at that, not wanting to answer her question.
My heart raced as I desperately thought of a way to cover up the truth.
"Hitoshi Shinso," I answered as my face heated up.
"Sioku, are you serious?" asked Kara.
I nodded my head in response.
Melody giggled at the sight of my red cheeks.
"I knew he was perfect for you," she joyfully replied.
I just groaned at that in annoyance.
I then continued helping my sisters in order to distract myself from the situation.
~Small Time Skip~
In the dining rroom, my sisters and I quietly sat around the dinner table enjoying our meal.
All I could think about was my conversation with Dabi back at the warehouse.
I just couldn't get over that blue flame quirk of his.
Dabi's words echoed in my mind as I stared out the window lost in thought.
Melody tapped on my shoulder, causing me to snap out of my pleasant train of thought.
"What was that for?" I groaned.
"Don't forget about your chores tonight," she answered.
I let out a heavy sigh before rising from my seat.
"Sioku, what's gotten into you?" asked Kara with clear irritation in her voice.
My eyes widened as I quickly searched for an acceptable answer.
"Computer class," I simply answered.
Kara gave me a dumbfounded look before turning away.
"What's wrong with computer class?" asked Melody.
"Type to Learn sucks," I replied with a sigh.
"I almost forgot that you didn't like the program because it scares you," she added with concern.
I then carried my empty dishes over to the kitchen sink.
After rinsing out my dishes, I quietly walked outside for some fresh air.
The dogs happily ran up to me.
I laughed as they all nuzzled me at once.
"Thanks guys," I said as I let them continue.
Melody opened the door a few minutes later, causing the dogs to rush inside.
"It's time to do our chores," she said.
I just nodded in response.
She seemed confused by my quiet behavior.
I then plugged a pair of earbuds into my phone and walked inside.
My music drowned out every other sound around me as I did my chores.
Once my chores were done, I silently led Deku and Tsu back up to my bedroom.
