~~Hello readers, I'm back with a new chapter.

I do not own anything from My Hero Academia.

Only my original characters belong to me.~~

My dogs and I had just settled down in my quiet room.

I sat quietly on the end of my bed.

My conversation with Dabi still had me lost in deep thought.

I just couldn't get the purple skinned man's image out of my head.

The sun was beginning to set as I stared blankly out the window.

I desperately wanted to be by Dabi's side again and help him overcome his past.

With a heavy sigh, I stood up and walked over to my Tv.

I then turned it on in order to break the silence.

Deku heard the noise and woke up.

I sat down on the floor beside my dresser.

"Come here Deku," I said quietly.

The dog yawned as he looked up at me.

I couldn't help but giggle at that.

He then stretched before walking up to me.

I jumped in surprise as his cold, wet nose came in contact with my skin.

Deku then sat down next to me.

I gently pulled Deku into a loving embrace and held him for a few minutes.

Dabi's voice echoed in my head, causing me to smile.

Remembering how he started opening up to me sent a warm feeling of happiness coursing through my body.

I released him before standing up again.

"Let's go to bed," I wispered to the dog.

Deku quickly stood up and shook off.

He then followed me onto my bed.

After situating myself under the covers, I let Deku curl up next to me.

I then wrapped my arms around him and closed my eyes.

My body eventually gave in to exhaustion, and I drifted into the darkness.

~Morning~

My alarm woke me up at 6:00 AM.

Deku was still asleep beside me.

After silencing the beeping noise, I carefully pushed the covers off of me.

I climbed out of bed slowly in order to prevent myself from disturbing the dog.

The sun shined brightly through my window as I stared at it.

After stepping onto the floor, I paced back and forth.

Suddenly, my phone began to ring on the bedside table.

The screen displayed an unknown number.

I accepted the call and set my phone on speaker. "Hello, who is this?"

"Good morning Sioku," answered a familiar male voice.

I gasped in utter joy as my heart nearly jumped out of my chest. "Dabi? Is that you?"

"You know it," he answered before laughing.

A huge grin wiped across my face as I stood still.

Happy thoughts about us flooded into my mind all at once, causing me to tremble.

"I missed you so much Dabi. You've been on my mind since yesterday," I said with a slight blush.

Dabi chuckled on the other end. "I can say the same about you Sioku. I miss looking at your pretty face."

My face turned bright red at that as I let out a nervous laugh.

"It's true," he added.

"Thank you for the complement," I dreamily replied.

I paused in thought as the line went silent.

Dabi then spoke again. "Sioku, are you busy today?"

I frowned and let out a disappointed sigh. "Yes, I have school until 3:00 PM."

"I just wanted you to come over," he said softly.

"Yeah, same here," I replied quietly.

I looked down at my alarm clock, and the screen read: 6:15.

"Thanks for calling me Dabi, but I'll talk to you later. I need to get ready for school," I said with a smile.

"You're very welcome Sioku, have a good day. I'll wait for you," he replied.

I took in Dabi's whisper-like voice before reluctantly hanging up the phone.

Deku lifted his head and yawned.

"Hi Deku," I said happily.

The dog sat up and wagged his tail in response.

I gave him a quick hug before turning around.

Deku then hopped off of my bed and walked toward the door.

"Hold on Deku," I called to him.

He laid down on the floor and sighed.

I put on one of my music playlists before walking toward my wooden dresser.

I then changed into my school uniform.

Afterward, I brushed my wild hair and pulled it into a high ponytail.

Dabi's beautiful voice echoed in my head again, causing me to smile dreamily.

The feelings I already had for this man poured from my heart like water.

I couldn't help but lose myself in a daydream.

My thoughts were suddenly interrupted when I heard a knock on the door.

Deku quickly stood up and let out a low growl.

"Come in," I hollered.

Melody gently opened the door and walked inside.

She was still dressed in her pajamas.

"Good morning Sioku," she said warmly.

"Good morning Melody," I replied cheerfully.

Melody stared at me as she noticed the huge grin on my face. "What made you so happy this morning?"

I suddenly paused in silence, not knowing how I should answer her question.

Telling her about my phone call from Dabi might get me in major trouble.

I just couldn't take that chance.

My cheeks turned bright red as I answered. "I had an amazing dream about Shinso last night. He asked me to go on a date with him."

Melody seemed to fully believe my answer.

"I hope that dream comes true someday," she replied with a smile of her own.

Deku rushed up to Melody in excitement and tackled her to the floor.

He panted happily while whipping her with his tail.

I burst into laughter as I watched the dog lick her face.

"Hi Deku," she said before laughing.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I walked over to her.

"Oh I'm fine," she answered while petting Deku.

I gently rubbed the dog behind his ears. "Sorry about that, Deku still needs to go outside."

At the word "outside," Deku quickly rushed out the door while panting in excitement.

"I'll take him out," said Melody as she stood up.

"Hold on," I replied while pointing toward the dog bed.

Melody looked back at me. "What is it?"

"Wait for Tsu," I answered.

I then stared at Tsu and whistled for her to come

Tsu yawned before stretching her body.

She then shook off and followed after Deku.

Melody turned to me as a thought crossed her mind. "Sioku, I came up here to tell you that breakfast is almost ready. Kara wants you to set the table."

"Thanks Melody, I'll be down shortly. I just need to gather my things," I replied while walking toward the closet and throwing a small bag over my shoulder.

Melody then exited my room and shut the door behind her.

I giggled as I listened to Deku and Tsu bark while running down the stairs.

After packing my bag, I quickly made my way downstairs where Kara was waiting.

I heard the Tv on in the living room.

"Come in the kitchen Sioku," she hollered.

"You got it," I cheerfully replied.

I gracefully entered the kitchen wearing the same huge grin from before.

"Hey Sioku, what are you so excited about?" asked Kara as I approached her.

"The UA Sports Festival continues today," I answered.

"Oh that's right," she said in realization.

I just giggled at that as I walked away.

Melody stared awkwardly at me as I walked by. "What's with her lately?"

"I have no idea," answered Kara with a sigh.

In the dining room, I carefully set the table.

My mind kept wandering back to Dabi, causing me to almost lose my focus.

I just couldn't get his voice out of my head.

All I could think about was visiting him again.

Once breakfast was ready, my sisters and I gathered around the table with our plates.

I sat next to Melody, and Kara sat across from us.

Our meal started out almost silent.

The only sounds we heard were our dishes clinking against each other.

Melody broke the silence to start a conversation. "Sioku, what's going to happen at the sports festival today?"

"I heard from Recovery Girl that it's a cavalry battle," I answered with glee.

"That sounds like fun," added Kara.

"I've been helping Recovery Girl heal people whenever they get injured," I said proudly.

"That's nice," replied Melody.

I smiled and let out a dreamy sigh as I imagined myself healing Dabi in the future.

My heart raced at the wonderful thought.

Melody roughly tapped on my shoulder. "Hey Sioku, you're daydreaming again."

My cheeks turned bright red as I paused in embarrassment.

"Oops, sorry about that," I replied nervously.

Kara stared awkwardly at me. "Sioku, why are you acting this way?"

I immediately tried to think of a an acceptable answer.

"She's probably watching another Anime," replied Melody in a teasing manner.

I grinned and nodded my head in agreement.

Kara then turned to me with a serious expression.

"Well Sioku, you better stay focused at school today. I won't let you go to your friends' house if you get in any trouble," she said sternly.

I flinched at the sound of her voice.

"You have my word Sis," I replied quietly.

I then rose from my chair and walked into the kitchen.

After carefully placing my dishes into the sink, I quickly made my way to the bathroom.

I remained lost in deep thought as I continued my morning routine.

I really didn't want to risk being grounded.

Dabi and I wouldn't beable to see each other again if that ever happened.

A knock on the door suddenly pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Come in," I said.

Melody entered the room with a remorseful expression.

"What's wrong?" I asked in concern.

"I'm sorry for getting you in trouble during breakfast," she answered sadly.

"It's fine," I simply replied.

Without another word, I exited the room to let the dogs inside.

Tsu and Deku joyfully ran circles around me while wagging their tails.

"Hey you guys," I said as I ruffled their fur.

The dogs panted happily in response.

Once the dogs had settled down, I calmly led them into the living room.

Kara was sitting on the sofa watching Tv.

Deku sat on the floor beside me as I plopped down on one of the couches.

I gently rubbed behind his ears as he relaxed.

"Good boy Deku," I said softly.

Tsu joined us shortly afterward, and I didn't even notice her sitting next to Deku.

I was too busy thinking about Kara's harsh words.

Kara's voice entered the space, instantly bringing me back to reality. "Sioku, get ready to go. Melody will meet you by the door soon."

I only nodded my head and stood up.

Deku shook off before following me to the front door.

"Sorry Deku, I can't take you to school with me. Be good for Kara," I said after patting the dog's head.

Deku let out a yawn and sat down.

I giggled as I ruffled his fur.

Melody met me by the door a few minutes later with a grin on her face. "Shall we go?"

"Sure," I simply answered.

She stared at me in confusion. "Hey, what's with the one word answer?"

"I'm just thinking," I replied in annoyance.

I gave Deku a hug before walking outside.

"Bye Kara," said Melody.

Melody and I then started walking toward the bus stop.

I still didn't say a word to her.

Looking up at the cloud covered sky, I imagined Dabi and me in each other's warm embrace.

I instantly felt more relaxed.

Once we arrived at the bus stop, I sat down on the planter and waited for my friends.

"Sioku, are Ariel and Shinso meeting you here?" asked Melody

I only nodded in response.

My sister's curious expression then changed into one of irritation. "Sioku, why aren't you talking to me? Are you still mad?"

"No," I answered plainly.

Melody only sighed at that.

I then focused on the street with my back turned to her.

The constant sound of traffic slowly pulled me into my thoughts.

All was quiet until we heard the rumbling sound of an engine coming toward us.

Melody tapped on my shoulder, causing me to jump.

"Your bus is here," she said before stepping back.

"Thanks," I simply replied

I patiently waited for the doors to open.

"I'll see you after school Sioku," said Melody as she walked away.

I only waved at her in response.

Once the doors had finally opened, I quickly stepped on in search for my friends.

Fortunately, I spotted Shinso sitting behind the driver.

"Good morning Sioku," he called out.

I instantly perked up at the sound of his voice.

"Hello Shinso," I replied while plopping down on the seat beside him.

Shinso immediately noticed the change in my behavior and spoke up with concern. "I'm worried about you Sioku. Did something happen this morning?"

"My older sister was rude to me," I answered sadly.

Shinso put his arm around me. "I'm sorry Sioku, things will get better as the day goes on."

I smiled warmly and patted his head. "Thanks Shinso, I'm so glad we're friends."

Shinso only smiled back, wanting to change the subject. "Did you have fun with your other friends yesterday?"

A joyful grin appeared on my face at his question.

Dabi's voice echoed in my head once again.

My heart raced as I remembered our conversation.

"Oh Shinso, I had a wonderful time with them! I also met another person who I can't mention because of a promise I made to him," I answered anxiously.

Shinso nodded in understanding before smiling back.

The happy feeling soon faded away as I remembered Kara's previous threat.

I then stared out the window lost in deep thought.

My mind constantly raced in all directions.

Shinso broke the silence between us and spoke up. "Hey Sioku, are you ready for the second part of the sports festival to day?"

"Yes," I simply answered.

Another long period of silence passed by as Shinso and I kept to ourselves.

The bus soon came to a complete stop after pulling into the school parking lot.

I stared out the window still lost in thought.

Shinso turned to me with a concerned expression and tapped on my shoulder. "Hey Sioku, are you okay?"

"I guess," I answered with a sigh.

Shinso and I waited for the isle to clear out.

I waved at Ariel as she walked by.

Once the isle was clear, we exited the bus and headed toward the picnic table.

The fresh air felt very relaxing.

"Ariel is coming," said Shinso to me as he spotted her walking toward us.

I smiled at Shinso before waving to Ariel.

Ariel smiled back as she approached Shinso and me.

I immediately put on a happy smile to hide the fear in my features.

"Good morning Ariel," I said politely.

"Hey girl," she replied cheerfully.

I didn't show any reaction to her voice.

Instead, I only stared off into space.

"Where were you this morning?" asked Shinso.

"I took my dogs for a walk," she answered.

Ariel noticed the change in my mood and spoke up. "Sioku, you don't look like yourself. What's wrong?"

"Kara," I simply answered.

"Don't let her get you down," Ariel replied as she lightly patted my head.

I only smiled back at her.

Ariel grinned as a thought crossed her mind. "I can't wait to participate in the cavalry battle today!"

"I'll be watching you guys from the medical tent," I replied happily.

"Oh that's right," added Shinso.

The three of us then made our way toward the school building while passing by crouds of people.

Mina greeted us at the double doors with a cheerful smile on her face. "Good morning, I'm so glad to see the three of you again."

Shinso only waved at her.

However, this girl's bubbly personality was difficult for Ariel and me to ignore.

"Hello Mina," replied Ariel.

"Same to you Mina, how have you been?" I added with a small smile.

"I've been great Sioku," Mina answered before leading my friends and me inside.

I then turned to the others with an apologetic look. "I have to go meet up with Recovery Girl before the next event starts. Good luck, and I hope you all enjoy yourselves out there."

"Thank you Sioku," replied Ariel.

"We'll see you later," added Shinso.

Without further delay, I quickly rushed down a separate corridor toward Recovery Girl's classroom.

Complete silence filled this empty hall.

Millions of thoughts raced through my mind as I anxiously paced back and forth.

I really wanted to text Dabi and check on him.

However, I couldn't take the chance of attracting any attention.

"I miss you so much Dabi. I whish you were here with me," I sadly thought.

I perked up at the sound of a door opening to my right.

Recovery Girl came strolling toward me with a welcoming smile on her face.

"Good morning dear," she said.

"Same to you Recovery Girl," I replied politely.

After unlocking the door, she led me straight into her office.

It was strangely silent in here.

I quietly sat down in the chair behind her desk.

Recovery Girl then sat down in her wheeling chair and looked at me. "Sioku, we'll be setting up

our medical tent at the field shortly. You may leave your bag here under my desk."

"Thank you," I simply replied.

Without a word, I carefully slipped my bag under the wooden desk.

I sat silently while staring at a picture on the wall.

"Sioku, is something bothering you?" asked Recovery Girl concern.

As much as I trusted Recovery Girl, I couldn't tell her about any of my friends outside of school.

"Not really," I answered calmly.

All was quiet until we heard the bell ring.

"Let's get ready to go Dear," said Recovery Girl as she stood up from her seat.

I let out a yawn as I stood up and stretched.

After gathering all of our supplies, Recovery Girl and I exited her classroom.

We then walked down the busy hall and out the door.

I slipped back into my thoughts to drown out most of the constant noise.

Dabi's voice echoed in my head, causing me to smile.

I just couldn't resist the softness in it.

Recovery Girl's voice brought me back to reality. "Sioku, we're at our spot now."

I only nodded in response.

Not too far from me, I could hear the excited voices of everyone in Class 1A.

Shinso was also with them.

Hearing my friends' lively voices again brought a warm feeling to my heart.

After setting up my work area, I strolled over to the class while I still had time.

"Good morning everyone," I said, trying to keep my voice cheerful for them.

"Good morning Sioku," most of the students replied in unison.

I wasn't surprised at all by Katsuki's annoyed glare toward me.

"You can just ignore him Sioku. Cacchan isn't the friendly type," said a soft male voice from behind me.

I turned around to see the green haired boy standing there. "You know him?"

"Yes, I've known Cacchan since we were little. My name is Izuku Midoriya," the boy answered as he extended his hand to me.

I smiled and shook his hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you. How do you know my name?"

"Ariel has told me all about you. I also remember you healing me in Recovery Girl's office on the first day of school," Izuku explained.

My cheeks pinked up as I grinned at him.

"Hey, I remember that too! Congrats on getting first place yesterday," I joyfully replied.

"Thank you so much," said Izuku as he bowed to me.

"You're welcome," I replied before walking away.

There was something about Izuku that made me feel warm inside again.

I was headed back toward my tent when Ariel stopped me. "Hi Sioku, who were you talking to?"

"Izuku," I answered plainly.

"Oh that boy is cute," she dreamily replied.

"Oops, you better watch out for Ochako. She likes him," I warned playfully.

Ariel only shrugged off my comment.

"I'll see you later," I said before walking off.

My best friend waved at me in response.

Back at my tent, I sat down in a chair.

I watched as the bleachers began filling up with people.

Recovery Girl joined me a few minutes later.

"Hello Dear," she said warmly.

"Hi," I simply replied.

We listened as Present Mic explained the second part of the sports festival.

The man's voice rang across the entire field.

I couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm.

Both classes were split up into groups of four people.

One person in each group had to be carried by the three others.

Their goal was to collect as many points as possible by taking the headbands from people outside of their groups.

"This will be exciting to watch," I thought.

I overheard a conversation between Bakugo and Kirishima that made me laugh out loud.

He joined a group with Bakugo, Kaminari, and Mina.

Izuku Midoriya joined another group with Shoto Todoroki, Tenya Iida, and Ochaco Uraraka.

"Good luck everybody, I hollered.

Present Mic gave the signal as soon as both classes were situated.

"And they're off," said Recovery Girl.

My eyes lit up with excitement as I watched the competitors use their quirks.

This cavalry battle was very entertaining to watch.

However, I felt bad seeing everyone go after Midoriya's group at once.

Midoriya had the highest number of points on his headband.

"That's not fair," I thought.

The battle grew intense as everybody swiped as many headbands from each other as they could.

"I just hope those people don't get hurt out there," I said to Recovery Girl.

"They'll be fine," she reassured.

I sighed and continued watching the battle.

Ariel zoomed across the field in her Yellow Lab form, causing me to perk up.

She had three other people riding on her back.

I burst into laughter as I heard her bark loudly while running after the other groups.

Present Mic announced the four winning teams as soon as the buzzer went off.

The crowds in the bleachers cheered wildly.

My face lit up in excitement as I spotted Bakugo and Midoriya's teams up on the stage.

Shinso was also up there.

I stood up and happily waved at my friends. "Congratulations guys, nice work!"

"Thank you very much," hollered Midoriya.

I sat back down and patiently waited for any injured competitors to arrive.

To my surprise, Midoriya was the first person to visit my tent and get checked out.

"Hello Sioku, it's good to see you again," he said with a polite smile.

"It's good to see you too," I cheerfully replied.

He then sat down on the floor in front of me.

"Did you get hurt?" I asked with concern.

"Yes," he answered while holding up his broken finger.

"Your finger looks bad, but I can still heal it. You'll be good as new in no time," I replied gently.

I carefully wrapped my hands around his swollen finger and focused my energy on it.

The swelling went down after five minutes.

Izuku looked down at his finger in awe as it was completely healed.

"You did an awesome job Sioku," he complemented.

"Thank you very much! I've been training with Recovery Girl every day," I replied with glee.

"You're welcome, I can tell. Thank you too," Izuku said as he stood up.

He smiled and waved at me before walking away.

I couldn't help but smile back at him.

Another blond haired kid from Class 1A was the next person to approach my tent.

He had a few scrapes and bruises on his upper body.

"Hello, my name is Sioku. I don't know if you remember me," I said to him.

"Hi Sioku, I do remember you. I'm Denki Kaminari," he cheerfully replied.

I was attracted by the liveliness in his voice.

His energy reminded me of my dogs.

Denki had on dark brown shoes, white pants, a plain white shirt, an open black jacket with a lightening pattern across the back, and a square-shaped earphone over his right ear.

"So you're that famous new healer the whole class has been talking about?" Denki started.

"Yes, but I'm not famous," I answered nervously.

I then began to heal his wounds.

"What made you decide to become a healer?" the friendly blond boy continued.

"I want to get over my fear of medical facilities. I also like helping others," I answered calmly.

"That sounds like you," he replied with a smile.

Denki's wounds didn't take very long to heal.

He silently watched the healing process in awe.

"You're good to go," I said as I finished.

"Thanks a lot," he replied before walking away.

I healed a few more people as they came in.

The field slowly began to clear up.

Recovery Girl approached me once all of her medical work was finished.

"Hello dear, you did a fabulous job. It's time to go back to my office now," she said proudly.

"Thank you," I simply replied.

After cleaning up our area, Recovery Girl and I walked back to the school building.

We then headed straight to her classroom.

Once inside, I put away the medical supplies.

I then sat down at a table and filled out some paperwork for her while thinking to myself.

Dabi was fresh on my mind.

His whisper-like voice helped me stay focused.

Once the papers were all filled out, I placed them in a tray on Recovery Girl's desk.

"Thank you Sioku, you may go to lunch now. I'll see you later," she said with a smile.

"Have a good evening," I replied as I grabbed my bag.

I then walked out the door.

To my surprise, Denki met me in the hallway.

He looked happy to see me.

"Hello Denki, it's good to ssee you again. How are you feeling?" I asked politely.

"I feel great," he answered in a cheerful tone.

"Well that's good," I replied with a smile of my own.

Denki put a hand on my shoulder. "Hey Sioku, would you like to sit with me at lunch today?"

This kid's lively presence made me forget about Kara in a good way.

"I'd be happy to," I answered.

Denki smiled at me before we proceeded.

I searched for Ariel and Shinso as the two of us walked toward the dining hall.

Shinso met us at the entrance and joyfully threw his arms around me.

He had a huge smile on his face.

"Hi Shinso, congratulations again," I said while happily returning the hug.

"Thank you Sioku," he softly replied.

Denki became a little jealous as he observed Shinso and me.

"Get away from my friends!" hollered Ariel as she ran toward him with fury.

Denki jumped nervously and put his hands out in defense. "Wo, please calm down."

Ariel ignored Denki's pleading words and roughly grabbed him by the collar of his jacket.

The spiky haired boy trembled under her grasp.

I quickly pulled away from Shinso and turned around. "Hold on you two, what's going on?"

"I saw him try to come between you and Shinso! He's nothing but an obnoxious flirt," she answered angrily.

"Wait a minute Ariel, Sioku and Shinso are datiing?" Denki asked worriedly.

"No we're not," answered Shinso.

Shinso's mood almost instantly changed from happy to furious toward Ariel.

"Oh thank goodness," Denki muttered in relief.

I immediately felt bad for the poor kid.

"Ariel, Shinso is right. Denki is just being friendly to me. Please let go of him," I said firmly.

Ariel sighed and released his jacket.

"Sorry about her, she is my best friend. Are you okay?" I said with concern.

"Yeah, I should be used to this by now," Denki answered as he brushed off his shirt.

I gave the boy a sympathetic look in response.

"Ariel, please quit telling people that Sioku and I are a couple. You know it's not true," Shinso said sharply as he glared at her.

"I'm sorry Shinso," I whispered.

"But why? You two are so cute together," she replied, trying to ignore the seriousness in his voice.

"That doesn't mean anything," Shinso snapped back.

Denki, Ariel, and I stood there in silence.

This was the first time I had ever seen Shinso get angry.

"You started this one," I said to Ariel with the same amount of fury as Shinso.

"I know," she replied shamefully.

I watched sadly as Shinso walked away without another word to us.

"Hey, are you all right Sioku?" asked Denki as he looked sympathetically at me.

"I just need a break. Let's go," I answered quietly.

"Okay," Denki replied as he followed me inside.

I didn't care that I was leaving Ariel behind at this point.

All I could do was pray that Shinso would be okay.

After ordering our food, Denki and I sat down at a table in the back.

Bakugo, Kirishima, and Mina were there as well.

"Sioku is here," cheered Mina.

I smiled at the high pitch in her voice.

"Good afternoon Sioku," said Kirishima.

"Hi Kiri," I simply replied.

"Congratulations on making it to the next round. You all deserve to move on," I said proudly.

"Thank you very much," replied Mina.

"What is this little extra doing here?" grumbled Bakugo as he pointed at me.

I couldn't help but giggle at that.

"Don't be like that Cacchan," replied Denki.

My eyes widened in surprise as soon as I heard the spiky haird boy call him that name.

Bakugo furiously jumped up from his seat and aimed an explosion right in front of Denki. "Don't call me that name you spiky haired idiot!"

Bakugo's quick temper didn't bother me at all.

It actually made things more interesting.

"Take it easy man! I was just joking," Denki replied defensively while backing away.

I was surprised that Denki didn't activate his quirk.

"Everybody calm down now," said Kirishima.

"Good idea," I replied.

Bakugo sat back down without another word.

"Anyway Sioku, what brings you over to our table?" asked Mina curiously.

"Denki invited me," I answered happily.

"That was nice of you Kaminari," replied Kirishima.

Denki just grinned at me in response.

I just listened to a conversation between Denki and Kirishima during the remainder of our lunch break.
