Amity was currently walking on crutches as fast as she could through Bonesborough, with a cast over one of her legs, a look of panic ever so clear on her faceas she wanted to get to the Owl House as fast as possible and as soon as she could, which was proving rather difficult as she was still getting used to using her crutches to get around when she needed to walk.
When Belos first announced his capture of the Owl Lady's apprentice and the Blight girl's secret crush, Amity felt like she was going to have a heart attack. Luz, the first human student of Hexside, the one who has helped her even when she didn't want it, the one who usually causes her life to go out of whack with her weird human antics, the one who helped her begin to patch things up with Willow even going into her memories to repair them after the Blight girl accidently nearly destroyed them and went against the school's three eyed, resident Grudgby captain, Boscha to do so, the one she wanted to ask to Grom, her one true love, was captured by the most powerful witch alive.
Her first instinct was to go to Eda and presumably get Willow and Gus to come up with a plan of rescue... Okay, that was her second instinct. Her real first instinct was to impulsively storm the castle and try to rescue Luz herself. But that was immediately shot down considering multiple factors but the few that were the most concerning was the fact that one, she had no idea where Belos was keeping Luz in his castle and considering it's definitely the most guarded place on the Boiling Isles, she shouldn't take that risk. Two, her leg was still broken and casted and she would need to move when in a fight. Three, considering how powerful Belos is, trying to fight him at all would be suicide. Four, considering that Luz is in his clutches, he could easily threaten to end the human's life if she tried anything.
So going to the inhabitants of Luz's new home was the only option that the green haired teen could think of at the moment
As she was thinking of some combat strategy for the inevitable confrontation with the Emperor, she felt one of her crutches get kicked by a familiar looking boot, causing her to accidentally let go of the other crutch she was using and fall face first onto the ground.
"Ow..." The teen said in pain.
Almost immediately she heard someone laugh at her.
"Oh, look girls!" said a familiar, yet almost elitist type of voice. "It's the former ruler of Hexside on the ground! Tell me, how's the leg? Need a hand?"
"Oh great. Of all the times to encounter her, why now?" Amity thought to herself in annoyance as she looked up. "What do you want, Boscha?"
She saw her once acquainted, three eyed "friend" looking down at her with a a condescending look on her face. She also saw some a group of three other Hexside students that she usually sees walking the halls of their school. "Oh, nothing really, me and my "fans" were just passing by when I saw you. And considering the panicked look on your face , I can tell it was urgent. Something on your mind, Blight?"
"It's none of your business, Boscha!" Amity said, in a defensive manner, not really wanting to deal with this special kind of mean right now.
"Whoa, hostile." Boscha said, putting her hands up defensively as she was clearly enjoying the reaction she was getting from her enemy. "Well, if I have to guess, it has something to do with a certain human Hexside loser that the Emperor captured, is that right?"
At Boscha's theory coming to light, the downed Blight's eyes went wide, confirming the jerk's theory due to the look in her eyes.
Before Amity could deny Boscha's claim, however...
"Hey!" a new, yet familiar voice spoke up.
Seconds later, another familiar voice spoke up. "Leave our sister alone, three eyes!"
As if on cue, someone got in between Amity and Boscha before the former was carefully picked up by the other person.
"Edric? Emira?" Amity said, clearly confused as to why her usually goofing off siblings are defending her.
"Who else, sis." Emira asked in a joking manner as she placed her on her back.
"I can't believe you girls are picking on our sister like this, especially in the state that she is in!" Edric said, outraged. "I thought you were her friend, Boscha!"
Upon hearing that, Boscha and her crew busted out laughing at that preposterous warning.
"Oh please, you Hexside dropout." The 3 eyed girl said. "She's stopped being my friend when she started hanging out with Half-A-Witch, Goops the Disillusionist, and that human loser!"
As soon as the triple eyed bully finished saying that, Emira said. "Is that what really happened?" She then looked at Amity before a smile grazed her face. "Well I think she made the right choice."
"So do I, now get lost before I make an illusion of your worst nightmare!" Edric threatened, ready to make a spell circle if these girls refused to heed his warning.
"Ugh, whatever! Like I care about some dumb illusion." Boscha said as she rolled all three of her eyes. "Go ahead, do your worst. Not that it'll work. I fear nothing!"
"Oh, really?" Edric said before he and his sister made a circle before combining them together.
It exploded to life into the form of something that Boscha feared more than anything as her eyes widened in absolute horror.
It was a sunshine and rainbow filled atmosphere filled with bear-like, hugging demons and singing flowers.
"Want a huuuug?" said one of the demons.
"Want to sing a song with us?" said one of the flowers.
"No, no!" Boscha said as she backed away in fear. "Too fluffy and happy! Why would anyone want to live in a world like that?!"
The demons and flowers began to surround the jerk of Hexside, causing her to begin to hyperventilate, much to the surprise of her clique.
"Aaaaahhhhh!" Boscha screamed as she ran away as far as fast as she could.
Once Boscha was gone, the two made the illusion disappear, noticing the other teens standing in shock, Emira leaned in till she was right in front of them.
"Boo." she simply said.
At that, the other members of the three eyed girl's clique screamed before running for their lives.
"Yeah, you'd better run, you little jerks! That's what you get for messing with our little sister!" Edric called out to them before picking up Amity's crutches. "You okay, Mittens?"
"Yes, I'm fine." Amity said, a little embarrassed that she had to rely on her siblings for help, and against Boscha of all witches. "Thanks you two."
"No problem, sis." Emira said, ruffling her sister's hair, much to her dismay. "Now, if I had to guess, you're headed to the Owl House, right?"
"Yeah, I just have to find out if what the Emperor said was true." Amity said, a hint of desperation. "Please don't try to stop me."
"Look sis, we admire your bravery, but there's not much you can do in your condition." Her older sister pointed out. "We're bringing you to Viney first, she's a known healer. Don't worry, she's not far and then we'll go to the Owl House, okay?"
Knowing her sister was right, Amity didn't say anything and just nodded. However, she took a moment to remember the former detention track, now healing and beast keeping student that Luz befriended once and smirked a bit. "So Emira..." Amity began, gaining her older sister's attention. "You and Viney, huh? You've caught quite the catch, haven't you?" She raised her eyebrows in a suggestive manner and whistled.
Upon hearing the way her sister tease her like that way about her crush on the "bad girl" student, Emira's face went beet red as she heard Edric snicker to himself at her reaction.
"Oh, shut up." Emira said as she really wanted to drop Amity on her behind for that remark but fought that urge back as she continued to carry her on her back. "I oughta drop her for that remark, but remember, she's still healing from that Grudgby game. A bruised butt and her other leg possibly getting broken won't help anything. Though, she's not exactly wrong." She then looked up at the sky before thinking to herself again. "Luz, if you're still alive, don't give up. Backup is coming to save you as soon as possible."
