~~~~Previously~~~~

Catarina and Gale left for Calavera, only to be attacked by Carmen. They were captured and taken back to the Lava Temple. Rexx was sent to capture Asher so Carmen could control Daniel. With Roxy's help, Rexx was able to warn the specialists. Carmen tortured Gale in an attempt to make Catarina lose control of her magic. The Scoutix appeared and Abigail was able to calm Catarina down before it was too late. Carmen attempted to transform Asher into one of her warriors, only to fail. Volcana's brother Saher, the warrior who sealed her away, used his magic to save Asher and heal Gale. Rexx managed to break the spell over Carmen and return her to normal. Volcana set off a volcanic eruption on Zevia and disappeared out of sight. Carmen managed to earn her Enchantix by absorbing the lava's energy, saving her home realm from being destroyed.~~~~

Alfea

"It's great to have you back Carmen." Catarina said smiling.

Carmen smiled and nodded. "I'm glad to be back." She then looked down a little and gripped her arm. "I'm sorry Cat. You almost lost control because of me. And I can't forgive myself for what I did to Gale."

"It wasn't your fault Carmen." Catarina said, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You were under a spell and no one blames you for what happened."

Carmen nodded and hugged her. "Thank you Catarina. I can remember everything that witch made me do."

"We should get away for a while." Rachel said, walking over to Carmen and Catarina.

Catarina nodded and stood up. "We need to find out where Volcana took off to. However, we've been through a lot and could use a break."

"Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go?" Carmen asked.

"Let's go to the Resort Realm." Felicity said. "It's not too far from here and it's magic free."

Rosella nodded and stared out the window. "It would make for a great change."

"Let's go then." Abigail said. "I'd like to check out the plant life there."

Carmen smiled and jumped up. "Let's go right now. I need a vacation."

Catarina laughed as they headed off to the Resort Realm.

Daniel watched as the girls left and smiled a little. "Have fun girls."

"You didn't want to go with them." Asher said.

Daniel shook his head and turned to Asher. "No. There are just some things I want to take care of."

"You want to know more about Saher." Asher said.

Daniel nodded and crossed his arms. "Yes. He knows Volcana better than anyone. We have to figure out where she went and how to stop her. Besides, I want to learn more about my Enchantix powers."

"Rachel is the only one that hasn't earned Enchantix." Asher said. "Right now, you need to take your mind off Volcana. You and your friends will stop her. It never hurts to take a break once in a while."

Daniel sighed and shook his head. "We need to be ready. Volcana could be trying to take control of someone right now. She almost killed you. I can't forgive her for that."

"Don't fight her out of anger." Asher said. "I don't want to see you fall like that."

Somewhere Outside Magix

"How could Saher still be around?" Volcana asked herself. "That boy Asher is connected to him. I wonder how long Saher has been part of him. I'll make them all pay. That gem girl has yet to become an Enchantix fairy. I have to get rid of her before that can happen. I just have to find the right person to give my power to. Someone they can't ally themselves with. Luckily, none of them know about my other crystal."

Resort Realm

"This is amazing." Rosella said.

Carmen smiled and laid her head on Rexx's shoulder. "This is nice."

Rexx smiled and held Carmen close. "Yeah. This is just what we needed."

"Where's Daniel?" Zane asked.

"He decided not to come." Catarina said. "I guess he wants to find out more about Saher."

Zane nodded and looked around. "I think he feels out of place around all of us."

"Why would he feel out of place?" Rachel asked. "He's gotten used to being around us and being a fairy. Daniel has really opened up."

"That's not what I meant." Zane said. "Think about it. Daniel has his family and no one else, aside from all of us."

Carmen's eyes lit up as a big grin came across her face. "We need to find Daniel a girlfriend. What type of girl do you think he likes? It shouldn't be too hard to find the perfect someone for him. He is a big sweetheart after all. Daniel deserves to have someone special in his life."

"Yep." Rexx said, laughing a little. "Carmen is back to herself. This isn't something we should try to force on Daniel. Besides, we shouldn't meddle in his love life."

Carmen sulked a little, turning to Rexx. "I just want to help. Daniel deserves to be with someone just as wonderful as he is. And I have made it my mission to find him that perfect someone. No matter how long it takes. Nothing will get in my way."

"We're here to relax Carmen." Rachel said, chuckling a little.

Carmen sighed and crossed her arms. "Fine. I'll start my mission when we get back to Alfea. We should go to Aquatica after this. I hear the hot springs there are amazing."

"Yeah." Rachel said, feeling a little uncomfortable. "They really are. If you'll excuse me, I need to get some air." Without waiting for a response, she walked off to a nearby cliff and sat down on a rock.

Zane looked down a little and followed after Rachel. "Are you alright?"

Rachel looked back at him and grasped her arm. "I'm fine. Really. We should visit the Aquatican hot springs. They do wonders."

"You don't have to lie to me." Zane said. "I know thinking about your home upsets you."

Rachel sighed and stared out across the distance. "You know me well. My family has completely rejected me. Going back means that I would have to face my past. And I'm not sure if I can do that."

"You won't be alone Rachel." Zane said, sitting down beside her. "You have me along with your friends. If it makes you uncomfortable, we don't have to go."

"We?" Rachel asked. "You don't have to miss out because I don't want to do something." She sighed a little and nodded. "Alright. I'll go. Just promise to stay by my side."

"I promise." Zane said, gently kissing her. "Let's get back to the others."

Rachel nodded and followed Zane back to the group, who were swimming in a nearby lake. "They look like they're having fun."

"Now this is relaxation." Felicity said, laying down under an umbrella.

"Don't you want to swim Felicity?" Rachel asked.

"Nope." Felicity said. "I'd rather just get a tan. Besides, this lake water would ruin my hair."

"Where's Lyon?" Zane asked.

"He went to get drinks." Felicity said.

"Did you tell him to?" Rachel asked.

Felicity chuckled a little and shook her head. "Not at all. He offered."

"Come on in the water Felicity." Carmen said. "It feels great."

Felicity smiled and stretched out. "I'll pass Carmen. You have fun."

"You're missing out." Carmen said, diving under the water.

Catarina smiled and walked out of the water, taking a seat beside Felicity. "This is just what we all needed. It's too bad Daniel didn't want to come."

"I'm sure he's doing alright." Felicity said. "I think he just wants to spend time with Asher."

Catarina nodded and stared out across the water. "Yeah. Daniel really cares about Asher. He'd give his life for his brother."

"Here you go Felicity." Lyon said, handing her a glass.

Felicity smiled and took a drink. "This is so good. Thanks Lyon."

Lyon smiled and sat down beside her. "Anything for you."

Catarina released a sigh of relief and pulled out her own drink, taking a sip. "Now this is delicious."

"What are you drinking Catarina?" Felicity asked. "I can't get over this strawberry kiwi smoothie."

"It's my own special recipe." Catarina said. "It contains banana, mango, and ginger. This mixture really helps to calm the senses and nerves."

"Do you always make your own drinks?" Felicity asked.

"Yes." Catarina said. "I use them to stay calm. It really helps with my powers. I can even make some for everyone that's unique to each of their powers."

Felicity took another drink of her smoothie and smiled. "That sounds nice."

"Magic and aura play a big part in my recipes." Catarina said.

Red Fountain

"Why are we here Daniel?" Asher asked.

"If I'm going to train, I'd rather it be with someone I know." Daniel said.

Rave smiled and ran over to Daniel. "Are you sure about this Daniel? My magic can be a little unpredictable."

"Yeah." Daniel said. "We both could use the practice."

Rave smirked a little as shadow energy swirled around his hands. "I'm ready whenever you are."

Daniel transformed and smiled. "Let's see what you can do."

"I'll start with something small." Rave said. "Shadow Orb!"

"Aqua Duplicate!" Daniel dodged the attack and watched as the orb shattered the duplicate. "Not bad. Let's see how you handle this. Cyclone!"

Rave winced, keeping his gaze on Daniel as he hit the ground. "Ow. That stung a little. Time to take things up a notch. Shadow Twister!"

Daniel winced as he hit the ground. "That was good. Neptune's Ring!"

"Let me go." Rave said, struggling to break free. "Shadow Wave! You're going to have to do better than that."

Daniel's eyes narrowed as water swirled around him. "You asked for it. Scald!" At that moment, a stream of scalding water hit Rave.

Rave cried out in pain as he fell to his knees. 'Something's wrong.'

"Aqua Cutter!"

"Dark Fire Shield!" Asher called out, shielding Rave from the attack. "That's enough Daniel."

"Cyclone!"

Asher cried out in pain as he fell to the ground. 'This isn't like him at all.' "What's gotten into you brother?"

"Neptune's Trident!"

"Enough!" Sky called out as both him and Brandon blocked the attack.

"Morphix Net!"

Daniel winced as rings of morphix formed around him. "Release me." He struggled to break free, but to no avail.

"Daniel." Helia said. "Snap out of it. Do you even know where you are? This isn't a battle."

Daniel calmed down as his tranformation faded. "I'm sorry. I couldn't stop myself. Are they alright?"

"They'll be fine after some rest." Brandon said.

"What happened Daniel?" Aisha asked.

"I don't know." Daniel said. "We were just training. Nothing more."

'I have a bad feeling about this.' Helia thought.

"If you would have kept going, you could have killed them." Sky said.

Daniel looked down as the morphix rings disappeared and gripped his arm. "What's happening to me?"

"The whole encounter with Volcana has got you shook up." Aisha said. "It would be best for you to get away from here. We can go to Andros. Being somewhere you're more familiar with should help."

Daniel nodded, glancing over at Rave. "Andros. I haven't been home in a while."

"Are you sure about this Aisha?" Helia asked. "He seems to be a bit unstable. Something is definitely wrong."

"I think I know what's wrong with him." Aisha said. "I've felt the same way. I can take care of myself alright. Staying in Magix isn't going to help him."

"What will you do Aisha?" Flora asked.

"I'll train him myself." Aisha said. "It's the only way to figure out the cause of his odd behavior."

Flora smiled and nodded. "Take care of him. And be careful."

Andros

"Home." Daniel said, looking around.

Aisha smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder. "We'll figure out what's going on."

"I hope you're right." Daniel said, looking down a little. "I almost killed my brother and one of my friends."

Aisha looked down a little and released a small sigh. "Let's go. I know a great place to train where no one will get hurt."

Daniel nodded and followed Aisha to a cove hidden deep in the forest. "This is amazing. I never knew it existed."

"Only the royal family knows of its existance and where it can be found." Aisha said. "And we're far enough away to keep people out of danger. Fight me like you did with Rave. I can only help you if I know what I'm dealing with."

"Are you sure about this?" Daniel asked. "I don't want to hurt you."

Aisha nodded and transformed. "Yes. You won't hurt me."

Daniel transformed, focusing his attention on Aisha. "Neptune's Ring!"

"Morphix Cloud!" Aisha called out. "I know you can do better than that. Defend yourself. Water Bolt!"

"Aqua Duplicate!" He quickly dodged the attack and readied one of his one. "Neptune's Trident!"

Aisha winced a little, keeping her gaze on Daniel. "Is that the best you got? Fight like you mean it."

"Cyclone!"

"Morphix Mega Wall!"

Daniel glared as water swirled around him. "I won't let you win. Scald!"

Aisha cried out in pain and fell to the ground. 'This is the same attack he used on Rave. No wonder he was so weak.' "Morphix Mega Net!"

Daniel growled a little, continuing to glare at Aisha. "Aqua Cutter!" He broke free and let loose another attack. "Scald!"

"Protection of Waves!" She cried out in pain as the water broke through her shield, nearly knocking her unconscious. 'Such power. And he's only at Enchantix level. There's something else going on here. Daniel shouldn't be this powerful. I can barely keep up with him. Another hit and I'm done for.'

"It's the end for you." Daniel said as the water around him swirled even faster.

"Flame Spiral!"

Daniel cried out in pain and fell unconscious. 'What's wrong with me?'

Daphne landed beside Aisha and helped her up. "Are you alright Aisha?"

"I'm fine." Aisha said. "What about Daniel?"

Daphne looked over to Daniel and sighed. "He's not doing too good."

"Aisha." Bloom said, landing beside her.

Aisha winced and glanced at Bloom. "Forget about me. Daniel is the one that needs help."

"I'll get him." Daphne said, moving towards Daniel. "Let's get back to Red Fountain. Maybe Asher or Rave can shed some light on what's going on."

Red Fountain

"What happened?" Helia asked.

"He lost control of his magic." Aisha said. "The anger he had was unlike anything I've seen before. I thought it was just anger towards Volcana, but this is much worse."

Daniel winced as high-pressured water swirled around him. 'I can't do anything.'

"Get away from him!"

"It's that voice again." Helia said. "It seems like you know what's going on. Show yourself Riven."

"How did you know it was me?" Riven asked, stepping out of the shadows.

"Lucky guess." Helia said. "Do you know what's wrong with Daniel?"

Riven nodded and turned to Daniel. "He's been poisoned. Something Volcana must have done. Whatever it is, its made him lose control of his magic. It only shows when he's in battle. If something's not done, he could destroy himself and anyone around him. That's all I know. It could've come from the volcanic rock he was trapped him. It must have mixed with the energy Asher gave off. Not that he meant to."

"We can't help him until that water dies down." Daphne said. "Winx. A convergence might stop it."

"Magic Winx! Convergence!" The water faded away, causing Daniel to wince a little.

"It's not enough to cure him." Musa said.

"What should we do?" Flora asked.

Asher looked down and gripped his arm. 'Part of my magic caused this. I knew it was a bad idea to join them.'

"It's not your fault." Rafe said.

"Why do you care?" Asher asked.

"Volcana stole the energy from you." Rafe said. "I'm not sure she even realizes what her magic has done. You couldn't have known this was going to happen."

Asher sighed and nodded. "Maybe, but if he hadn't of tried to save me, he wouldn't be in this mess."

"This magic is beyond our knowledge." Saladin said. "Saving Daniel won't be easy."

"What do you think Saher?"Asher asked.

"I'm not sure." Saher said. "Volcana's magic has never mixed with other magic before. If it were her magic alone, I could tell you how to help him. This is beyond me."

Asher released a small sigh, keeping his gaze on Daniel. "There has to be some way to help him."

"His vitals are completely normal." Tecna said. "Although, they sky rocket in the midst of battle. It would be best to keep him out of battle until we figure this out."

Daphne nodded and walked over to Daniel. "Take him home Asher. A quiet environment might do him some good."

"You've got to stop doing this brother." Asher said, disappearing with Daniel.

"What happens if we don't find a way to cure him?" Bloom asked.

"It could cause him to not be able to remain a fairy." Daphne said. "Or worse. If we don't figure this out soon, it's possible that the poison might kill him."

Magix City

"How is he?" Pheres asked.

"He's still unconscious." Mythia said. "It's hard telling when he will wake up."

"What about Asher?" Pheres asked.

Mythia sighed a little and shook her head. "He's deeply saddened about all of this."

"Isn't there anything we can do?" Pheres asked.

"I'm not sure." Mythia said. "I don't even think my magic can help him."

Aquatica

"I can't believe we're finally here." Carmen said, taking a long look around.

"Where are the hot springs Rachel?" Catarina asked.

"Up in the mountains." Rachel said. "There's a trail that will take us right to it."

Carmen smiled and jumped around a little. "Let's get going already." Without waiting for anyone else, she took off up the trail.

"I think she's a little excited." Rosella said.

Felicity laughed and walked with the others up the trail. "It's beautiful up here."

"Are you alright Rachel?" Zane asked as they followed a ways back behind everyone.

"Y-yeah." Rachel said. "It's just odd being here. I never thought that I would ever come back."

Zane held her close and smiled. "You don't have to lie to me. I know being here is painful for you."

Before anyone could react, they were bond by vines.

"I feel weak." Carmen said, struggling to break free.

"What do we have here?" A male voice asked.

"If it isn't Rachel the murderer." A female voice said. "I told you not to come back here."

Rachel glared and struggled to break free. "Alexis. Connor. I should have known. Let us go."

"That's not going to happen." Connor said. "Someone like you shouldn't be allowed to walk freely."

Alexis laughed and smirked a little. "Scary look Rachel. I warned you not to come back. And now you've dragged your little friends into this. Do you plan on killing them too? Just like your mother."

"That was an accident and you know it." Rachel said.

"Who are these two Rachel?" Zane asked.

"The name's Alexis handsome." Alexis said. "We just want to keep criminals off the streets."

Connor smirked and leaned up against a bolder. "Criminals like Rachel."

"You two wouldn't know a criminal if one was standing in front of you." Felicity said.

"What do you know princess?" Alexis asked. "Did you lose a few brain cells with all that hair product? Or are you just stupid? Rachel doesn't care about anyone but herself. She'd kill anyone that gets in her way."

"I've had enough of this." Carmen said, lighting the vines on fire. "These little vines can not stand up to the might of my flames."

Connor glared and pulled out his knife. "You're going to pay for that."

"You don't want to do that." Lyon said, grabbing Connor's wrist and twisting the knife out of his hand.

"Are you all blind?" Alexis asked. "You don't know a killer when you see one."

"We just want to go to the hot springs." Rachel said. "Nothing more. Now get out of our way."

Without saying another word, the Scoutix continued up the trail.

"Should we go after them?" Connor asked.

"No." Alexis said. "I have a better idea. Aquatica does have its legends. Let's unleash the Minera on them. That is one legend that truly exists."

"Are you sure about that?" Connor asked. "The Minera are quite dangerous. They could be killed."

"Good." Alexis said. "At least no one will have to worry about Rachel killing someone else."

"Are you alright Rachel?" Zane asked.

"I'm fine." Rachel said. "We shouldn't stay here long. Those two could come back at any moment."

"Who are they exactly?" Catarina asked.

"I got the blame for my mother's death." Rachel said. "Yes. It was my fault, but it was an accident. I lost control of my magic. Some people around here don't see it that way. My family won't have anything to do with me. Alexis and Connor used to be my friends. After the accident, they turned on me. Alexis said that she would kill me if I ever came back. And so I left. That's why I was a little hesitant to come back. If I had stayed away, those two would have left you all alone."

"Do you really think they'll try something else?" Felicity asked.

"Yes." Rachel said. "They have been known to cause trouble from time to time."

At that moment, crocodile-like creatures jumped out of the water.

"Have fun with the Minera Rachel." Alexis said, watching from atop a rock.

"What are these things?" Abigail asked.

"Minera." Rachel said. "They are crocodile-like creatures that can move on land and water. The only difference is that on land, they are bipedal. Only a fool would release them. These creatures are highly aggressive."
