Gwen rinsed her mouth and spit; returning her toothbrush to the cup and turning quickly to face Peter as he stepped out of the shower - steam swirling off his muscular chest. She stood before him in tight blue jeans and a yellow bra - staring fondly at his appearance.
"All clean." Gwen assured with a laugh as Peter closed the space between them and kissed her; pressing her back into the sink as his hands found her neck - tilting her mouth up to his. "Gwen," He groaned - "…you're still a very dirty girl."
She laughed again; turning so her back was to him as she met his eyes in the mirror - reaching for her makeup bag. "I don't know what you're talking about, Ace. I am the definition of classy."
Peter smiled; shaking his head as he gave her some space and dried off - grabbing his own jeans from the stand beside the shower and pulling them on quickly.
"That is truly a depressing thing to watch." She groaned; applying her lip gloss carefully as she watched him in the mirror. "What?"
"You. Putting on clothes."
Peter laughed; moving back to her as she turned to face him - kissing her deeply as he lifted her onto the sink so she was sitting before him with her legs on either side of his chest. "We're never going to start the day at this rate…" Gwen whispered with a grin as he leaned forward and quieted her smart mouth with his own.

The knock on her door came quickly - startling them both as Peter stepped back and allowed her to go into the main area of her apartment; grabbing her pale yellow top as she went. She pulled the material over her body quickly and went to the door.
"Gweny? Are you home? It's dad."
Peter poked his head out of her bathroom as their eyes locked. Panic on her beautiful face. Gwen glanced around the wrecked room as Peter used his webbing to grab his Spider-Man suit from the floor and stuff it in a drawer at the sink.
"Dad? Hey - one sec!"
Gwen dashed around the room quickly - throwing discarded clothes and paraphernalia into baskets and under the broken bed. "Oh god…" She whispered - stopping to assess the damage. The headboard was broke in half - splintered down to the mattress - right out of a Twilight movie. She tossed the comforter over the messy bed and turned to the door - handing Peter his shirt with wide eyes.
"Gweny? Is everything alright? I went to campus but you weren't—-"
Gwen opened the door quickly - smoothing her hair as she smiled brightly at her father.
"Dad! Sorry… I was just.. um, come in." She moved to the side to allow her father entrance to her apartment - holding her breath as he met Peter's surprised expression from somewhere inside. "Dad - this is Peter. He's my uh," Gwen flattered - staring helplessly at Peter who finally came alive.
"Peter Parker, sir. Gwen's boyfriend." He assured easily - offering his hand to the police captain. George Stacy watched him carefully as realization of what he'd interrupted washed over him - turning back to Gwen with a stern look on his fatherly face. "Captain George Stacy." He muttered; shaking Peter's strong hand.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir. Gwen speaks fondly of you."
That seemed to thaw his cold exterior as a smile formed on his lips. "She does, huh?" He asked - turning back to Gwen who was five different shades of pink; tucking her hair behind her ear. "What do we owe the pleasure, daddy?" She asked with a smile - guiding him further into the apartment as Peter closed the bathroom door behind him and followed.
"Just checking in, sweetie. I haven't heard from you in a few days." He assured - glancing back at Peter. "Oh, yeah. Just been… busy, is all."
Captain Stacy glanced at the destroyed bed frame and shook his head. "I see that. I won't keep you. I hope you'll come by for dinner tonight - your mothers making her famous lasagna, your favorite."
Gwen brightened at the thought. She loved her moms cooking. "Peter Parker," Captain Stacy added - turning quickly to the young man who stood with his back to straight and his chest unmoving as he held his breath. "I hope you'll join us as well."
"That sounds wonderful, sir. It's been a long time since I've had a home cooked meal."
George smiled as Gwen kissed his cheek; ushering him out the door as quickly as he'd came. "Thanks daddy! See you tonight!"
Once they were alone again they both exhaled the air they'd been holding - laughing.
"Wow. How embarrassing." Gwen sighed; closing the space between them as she laid her head on Peter's chest. "Are you embarrassed by your boyfriend, Ms. Stacy?" He asked jokingly as she looked up at him with those sparkling blue eyes. "Amazed is the adjective you're looking for, Peter Parker." She assured - kissing him quickly.

"This is perfect, Parker! Hey Siri - take this headline: SPIDER-MAN STEALS CHILD OUT OF DESPERATE MOTHERS ARMS!!"
Peter grabbed his phone from Jameson's grasp quickly - glaring at him as he looked at the photo on his screen. He stood as Spider-Man handing a frightened five year old that had walked out into oncoming traffic back to his grateful mother.
"I watched Spider-Man save this kid from almost being ran over by a cab this morning, Mr. Jameson. I won't let you blatantly lie about it in your blog."
Jameson narrowed his eyes; chewing on this information for a long minute before he finally sighed; crossing his arms across his chest.
"Fine! Don't bring me anymore of this wholesome garbage - Parker! I want to see the real stuff - Spider-Man destroying the city! He needs to be held accountable for the damage he's causing! Now get out!"
Peter signed; turning to leave his office quickly. He knew working with Jameson would he difficult but he didn't peg him for a liar. Frustrated he shoved his phone in his pocket and left the building with a huff; dipping into a deserted alley and emerging as Spider-Man.
With a fling of his wrist he took to the skies - swinging over his confusing city. Half of the people praised him while the other half hated him; thanks mostly to Jameson's propaganda. He couldn't help it that the criminals in this city were vast and complicated. Most just robbed gas stations but some blew up buildings and Jameson thought it was Spider-Man's job to pay for the damages.
"I'll get right on that, Jonah. My fifty dollars a week should cover it easily." He muttered to himself, swinging around a building with ease.
Peter stopped in his tracks; clinging to the side of the building as he watched black smoke rise to the sky several blocks away. A minute later sirens filled his head as several fire trucks blared past him. He flung a rope of webbing to the last truck - landing gracefully on top as they made their way towards the fire.

Six blocks later he stood before a tall apartment building on the north side of the city as it burned hot above them. Several fire trucks were already there trying desperately to put out the flames with no luck as gas stoves began to blow inside.
"Is everyone out?" He yelled to one of the passing firemen who just glared at him. "Let us do our job - bug-boy. Go find an old lady to help cross the street."
"Hey! Is the building secure?" He asked another, friendlier guy who was unrolling the hose from his truck. "They say they've got everyone accounted for. This is one of the pricier joints in the city - not many tenants to save. We got three dogs and some ungrateful asshole out before it really started burning."
"Alright. What can I do to help?" Peter asked; ready to take action. "Can you get this hose up closer to the top? These guys have theirs on the base of the building but if we don't try to get the hire floors the whole buildings gonna go."
Without another word he did as he was told; throwing some webbing against the building to steady himself as the fireman turned on the hose and cold water began flooding out of the nozzle. Peter held the streak steady as the water extinguished the flames on the upper level of the building. A few minutes later the water stopped and he dropped back down to the street with ease.
"Thanks, Spider-Man- you're alright in my book." The fireman assured with a grin; turning to go help the other men with the base of the building. Peter smiled at the thought. At least he wasn't hated by everyone.
Suddenly his spider sense tingled in his head as he looked up at the side of the building. A large chunk of brick began to break off from the ruined structure- headed straight towards the men working to extinguish the base of the fire. The first man he spoke to looked up in horror as the debris fell towards him at an alarming rate - his reflexes to slow to move out of the way. A second later he was jerked to the ground a few feet from where the brick busted against the asphalt; gasping as he looked up at Spider-Man who had saved his life.
"Spider-Man, I… you saved me."
"Yeah, it's what a do." Peter assured without another thought - swinging towards the danger as more chunks of structure began to crumble. He threw web after web onto the buildings weak spots; strengthening it as the others watched him move. A few minutes later the building began to smolder - the fire finally out and the structure stable enough to not come crashing down on innocent bystanders.
"Better get a construction crew in here soon. I'm not sure how long that will hold." He said to the nicer fireman who shook his hand in appreciation. "I don't care what that dick Jameson says about you - Spider-Man! You're a hero!"
"Aw, no. I'm no hero - just doing my best to help the real hero's - you guys. Keep up the good work boys." He assured with a thumbs up - throwing a web into the air and disappearing quickly. The fireman who's life he had saved could only stare in wonder.

Somewhere across town sitting behind a marbled desk Wilson Fisk glared at a small television. A news reporting showed Spider-Man helping the fire fighters stop the spread of a burning building. In another clip George Stacy stood with the reporter thanking Spider-Man and the other brave men for everything they did to get the fire under control and stabilize the building.
"I just want to go on record saying Spider-Man is an asset to this city. Like our brave men and woman in blue and the exceptional fire fighters we have - Spider-Man goes towards the danger. If you see him swinging about you should thank him for his service just like you would an officer or other member of the field. He is the key to helping us keep criminals off our streets and keeping our wonderful people safe!"
Kingpin slammed his fist down on his desk angrily. Spider-Man was a nuisance and Captain Stacy was on his last nerve.
"You'll rue the day you deliberately disobey me, Stacy."
