Haibara stood alone covered head to toe in pink fine glitter. Her face dumbfounded. The bright pink glitter covered her face and her shirt. The room still had fine glitter floating to the ground around her.
"Ahahaha!" Conan grips his stomach and tears slip from his face. The position she was caught in and the expression she had was something he never seen.
Kaito gives a sheepish grin. He runs the back of his head in embarrassment. 'Ano, I forgot to mention the traps'
Conans laughter broke Haibara from her daze and she quickly gives a glare at Conan and begins to shake off all the pink glitter only for it to spread on her more. Conan muffles his laughter poorly in return.
"Ah, sorry about that. You need to be careful around the house and not just open or grab anything that looks too suspicious. Lots of magic tricks around. I'll go ahead and grab some glitter remover I created" Kaito heads back downstairs where once he grabbed the remover the doorbell ringed.
Opening the door was Jii Chan with bags of stuff for the kids.
"Bochama where are the kids?" Jichan looks around the room for their newest guests.
Kaito motions up the steps, "Upstairs, Haibara-chan seem to open a desk draw and got herself full of glitter so she might be in the bathroom."
Together they entered the room where Conan was helping Haibara shake off the glitter. Jii-chan opened the bag and pulled out a teddy bear. He walks towards Haibara-chan stretching the gift to her.
"For the lovely lady". Haibara grabs the bear and watches how Jii-chan motion to check inside the teddy bear's scarf it had. Hidden under the scar was a zipper that could be used for a hidden compartment.
Jii-chan then returns back the bags and says "For the young lad" and then hands over to Conan a yo-yo.
Conan's face turned into a look of confusion. He turns to Kaito, "Er... what is this?"
"That's a yo yo"
"What does it do?"
"Hm. It's a toy but you can do really skilled tricks with it." Kaito takes the yo yo out of Conans hands and soon demonstrates some of the skills that can be done. He then ends it with using the yo yo to keep juggling balls in the air and allow the yo yo to land in conans open hand.
Haibara claps and Kaito gives a bow. Conan stares wide eye at the toy.
"Thank you thank you, I'm here all night folks"
Jichan coughs interrupting further conversation
"My apologies but I can't stay much longer I have to go back to the patriot as it's getting late. Goodbye bochama, "
"Bye jichan . " Once he left Kaito was follow by the kids downstairs where he soon began to make dinner and places the tv on.
"Tonight another case solve by the detective of the east Hakuba-san" the tv reporter then turned to a young blond teenager who is talking to a police officer. Kaito ears twitched when he heard the name and scoffed when he begins to hear the arrogant Brit drone on about the motive of the case of fraud and missing money. Kaito then tsk to himself as he recalls he has to deal with this nosy detective.
Conan curiously looks at Kaito taking in his reaction, "do you know him?"
"Unfortunately yes, he's actually someone we need to have our cover straight with cause he's going to ask questions"
Conan looks back at the screen and Kaito taps his chin.
"Hmm, okay! So role is your my cousin from my mom side and you guys are staying with me for time being cause your parents were in an accident. If anyone ask you can just start crying and the questions should stop. "
Both kids nod there heads. Kaito glances at the window," that reminds me tomorrow my friend aoko who lives next door may barge in. You are not to attack her."
Kaito sternly looks to both kids. Haibara gives a single nod in response however Conan looks at Kaito in confusion.
"Is it normal for her to just come in unannounced?"
"Er, she usually announces herself really loudly but she doesn't know anything about Kaito Kid and I want it to stay like that, okay?"
"Okay," murmured Conan. Haibara yawns and rubs her eyes. Kaito soften his look and set the kids off to sleep.
