Chapter 2
A/N
Sorry about the long wait folks! I have been busy with my life outside of writing, and have been studying for upcoming tests. Also! My laptop got broken, so I'm using my mum's to update, and I am not used to the format. I will edit out any mistakes I make once I get mine back. Enough of me! READ ON!
[STATUS: UNEDITED]
Previously: All of the Strike Squad had come to visit Hayden on his birthday, organised by Tallon (Hayden's husband). It had been revealed that Hayden was in the military, and is bisexual, as well as married to Tallon, because Astrid flirted with Tallon, causing Hayden to get angry. The chapter finishes with the spiteful thought of "Just you wait, fishbone. I'll reveal all of your military secrets and just how twiggy and pathetic you are tomorrow…" by Astrid as she is angry at the fact that she can't get at Tallon. She's got some mean and spiteful plan in mind, but what?
KEEP READING TO FIND OUT!
Astrid's P.O.V.
I arrived at least two hours early to school, so that I could get started on my plan to bring fishbone down. I started rigging a set of traps, so that he would be humiliated and scorned.
~~ Two Hours Later ~~
I sat down in my homeroom, and relaxed in my seat, waiting for the bell to ring, as I thought about the traps that I had set for Hiccup. The traps included...
Hayden's P.O.V.
I walked through the school yard, aware of all the stares I was getting. Eventually one student, her name was Merida, walked up to me and said "Hayden, was it? I jus' wanted to say, thank yew fer yer service. Would yew like to sit with meh and mah friends at lunch?" I smiled warmly at her before saying "Sure, why not? Who are your friends?" She pointed over to a group of teens, before leading me over there. "Hi! My name is Jackson Overland Frost, but you can call me Jack! I like snow and all things cold!" I couldn't help the chuckle that escaped me at his greeting.
"My name is Rapunzel, but you can call me Punzie! I like cooking, baking, and animals!" I smiled at "Punzie" in response.
A black-haired boy went next. "Hey. My name is Daniel, but you can call me Danny! I like ghosts and spirits!"
"My name is Tucker! I like Tech, and all things nerdy!" exclaimed an african-american boy. "Yeah, and you're practically married to your PDA!" snickered a gothic girl from next to danny. Tucker just glared at her.
"My name is Samantha, and you may, and can only call me Sam. Calling me anything else will result in pain, and lots of it. I like the color black, and ghosts." said Sam, putting emphasis on the will. I nodded to show I understood. I looked at my watch, before saying "I think we should get going now guys? The bell is going to ring in five minutes." The other's eyes widened in realization, as they all said "Crap." before jumping to their feet, saying a quick goodbye, and racing to their homeroom classes. I walked to my locker, grabbed the necessary books, and walked to my homeroom class, thinking about that strange encounter.
~~ At Lunch ~~
Astrid's P.O.V.
The bell rang for lunch, and as I sat down at my usual table, dubbed "The Popular's Table", I thought "Here it comes. The time my plan goes into action…"
Hayden's P.O.V.
I walked into the yard, only to have a freshman, carrying a bucket, slam into me, drenching my torso, arms, hair, and face in water. I sputtered, before grimacing and glancing down at myself, before realising that the water had caused my shirt to stick to my skin, revealing the muscle underneath. I heard a ripple of gasps go around the yard, as everyone had seen my muscle. I groaned, before placing my bag down on the ground and digging my casual military wear out. I peeled my shirt off, and wrung it out, before placing it in my bag, and putting my military one on. I grabbed an apple before continuing to my usual spot, under a tree.
I sat down, and bit into my apple, aware of all the stares.
Astrid's P.O.V.
The freshman slammed into hiccup, drenching his upper body, and I realized that when the shirt stuck to his skin, it revealed A LOT of muscle. My eyes widened as he peeled it off, revealing multiple round scars, which I guessed must have been bullet scars, jagged scars, I guessed they must have been stab scars? But the most shocking thing it revealed was nothing but lean muscle on his arms and chest, as well as a PERFECT six-pack of abs. I was shocked! He then proceeded to put on a green top with the words SGT HAYDEN HADDOCK on the first line, STRIKE SQUADRON on the next, and ARCHI ISLES MILITARY on the last. I could see everyone gaping, with the girls drooling over him. AAARGH! I! WILL! BE! TOP!
Hiccup's P.O.V.
Why was that freshman carrying a bucket of water anyway? I was confused on that but brushed it off as a odd coincidence. I arrived at my locker to find it painted in a camo pattern. I opened it, only to find all my medals and everything missing. I was shocked! Who did that? I resolved to find the culprit later and get it back. In the meantime, I had to hurry up and get to my next class.
I passed a huge group of people, all who seemed to be crowding around something, or someone. I made my way through the crowd, to find myself face to face with none other than Astrid Hofferson, dressed in a altered version of my BDU and boots, wearing MY medals, and sporting a smug grin. "ASTRID!" I WAS FURIOUS! "Hey Hiccup! How d'ya like my medals?" she asked me smugly. "They're not yours Astrid! Give them back!" "Pfft! What're you talking about? These are mine!" she said, spreading her arms out. "They're mine, Astrid! Give. Them. Back!" I said, puncuating each word in the last scenence. I was absolutely furious! "No they're not! They're mine! Stop lying!" she said, nervousness beginning to show through; "And besides! You don't have any evidence!"
I raised an eyebrow and looked at her, crossing my arms across my chest. "How about the fact that "your" BDU had my name on my, not to mention the medals say "Awarded to H. Haddock?" Everyone gasped at this, and took a better look. "Astrid! Give 'em back to 'im!" Merida exclaimed. Others started joining in until it turned into a chant of "GIVE IT BACK! GIVE IT BACK!"
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" Principal North's booming voice cut through the chant. "Astrid stole my BDU and medals, put them on, and is insisting that it's hers, even though it clearly has my name on it sir!" I told him. Principal North looked at Astrid and asked "is this true, Miss Hofferson?"
"N-no! Of c-course not, s-sir!" Astrid stammered out, trying (and failing) to lie.
"Miss hofferson, you will remove all stolen property from yourself, give them back to their rightful owner, and escort yourself to my office!" stated Mr. North. Astrid looked down at the floor, muttered a dejected "yes sir." and took off my BDU, leaving her in her regular leggings and top. I scooped my things up from where they had been laying and walked back to my locker, hearing a cheer from the other students, as Mr. North boomed "And the rest of you, to class NOW!" I folded up my BDU and put it, along with my medals, in my bag, before heading to class.
Later, I was apologized to by an embarrassed Asrid, who lost her place on the social chain (I didn't really care about that), I gained some popularity, and my bullying stopped! I was happier, to say the least! I had friends, recognition, and happiness.
My cousin stopped bullying me at family reunions, and I was no longer an outcast. I was (mostly) carefree!
That was, until I got a deployment call to…

Afghanistan!
What happened next? Well, that's up to your imagination, dear reader!
