This has nothing to do with the main storyline of Hunter x Hunter. It is more of a mythical love story between Gon and Killua. I hope you enjoy it.

"Ugh" A young teenage boy sighs. "Why does math have to be so hard!" he clasps his head between his hands. "I'm taking a break" he says to himself.

Punching out his rolling computer chair he gets up from his desk, leaving his math homework which was completely blank other than a name at the top.

Gon Freecss.

Gon was a mundane kid. A football player in his sophomore year, average grades, not popular but known by people. There was nothing special about him.

Gon goes down stairs searching for something to do that isn't homework. He immediately goes to the kitchen, there is always something really good there. Aunt Mito always makes the most delicious things.

His hunch was right because sitting right there on the counter was a large cake.

Yum!

Gone runs over to the cake and gets ready to stick a finger In the icing, but just before he's able to do it Mito slaps his hand.

"Don't do that! Wait till I'm done decorating it at least." Aunt Mito says, shaking her head.

"But Aunt Mito it looks sooo good! Let me at least have a taste. Pleeease" Gon tries to give her his puppy eyes but she looks away.

"You can have some after dinner. And don't you have homework to be working on?" Mito raises her eyebrows giving Gon a look.

With a sigh Gon goes back to his room. Gon always hated homework, why couldn't it be easy like football or fishing? He was really good at those. But nope, homework had to be hard. Nothing ever exciting happens when you do homework.

Gon made sure that he shut the door behind him so Aunt Mito wouldn't watch him from his doorway. Then he got to work on the first problem.

Solve for x if x=7.

*sigh* Gon flops his head on the desk in defeat. He was never going to solve that. He watches his feet for a while before closing his eyes.

Gon fantasized about being on an adventure. Something dangerous and exciting. Maybe fighting a group of enlarged ants? Or fighting big bad groups of really strong people. That would be way more fun than math. Gon dreamed of having a friend to go on these adventures with, Someone that had the same dreams as him. But what would his dream be?

Ever since Gon was a child he always wanted to be an archeologist, like his father. His father left at a young age to seek out the "discovery of a lifetime" but he never came back. Gon believes he found what he was looking for and now he was looking for something greater than that. Maybe if he finds that he will come home to him. Maybe if I discovered something so earth-shaking he would have no choice but to come home. At least that's what he hoped would happen.

Aunt Mito never agreed though. Every time he would bring up the subject of his dad she would go on a rant about leaving his only child behind. She would get so angry that sometimes she would just burst into tears, so he tried avoiding that subject. Gon didn't blame his dad though, if he found something really awesome and exciting, he wouldn't want to miss it. He knew that could be the only possible reason why a father might leave his son.

He hoped something that exciting would happen to him.

Then just as he was about to fall asleep something loud fell into his room.

"Where are you?" a boy growled.

Gon whipped around to see a teen about as old as he was standing in the middle of his bedroom. He had bright white hair and pale porcelain skin. He was wearing what looked to be a white long sleeve tunic, like something you would see in ancient history; as well as some pants from the same time period. In his fluffy white main he had a golden chain hung around his head and woven throughout his hair. His neck had a large shining silver neck band that laid down on his chest as well as some armbands on his upper arms. Finally large diamond earrings.

Gon couldn't help but stare at this intruder, not only because he just appeared in the middle of his room. But also because he was just breathtaking.

"Come out, come out wherever you are. You know I will find you." the white haired boy spoke in a teasing voice.

"Um, hello? Who-" but as soon as Gon spoke the first few words the boy whipped around and held his hand to Gon's neck.

The boy's eyes we're sharp like a cat staring straight into his sole. But. That's not all that was sharp. Gon felt something cut into his neck, but the boy had no weapon. Were his nails sharpened?

"Who are you?" the boy got so close to him he could feel his breath on his face.

Gon couldn't help but blush from the close proximity. "I'm Gon. Gon Freecss. Who are you?"

The boy made a small tutting sound before muttering to himself "this definitely isn't who I'm looking for". Gon was only able to pick this up because he had unusually sensitive ears. The boy backed up from Gon and gave him a superior look. "I'm Killua Zoldyck. Prince of the werecats."

"Wow! You're a cat!" Gon couldn't believe it.

"No you idiot, I'm a werecat. I'm not like one of those disgusting strays" Killua stuck his tongue out.

"I've heard about werewolves before but never a werecat. What's a werecat?" Gon couldn't help but notice when killua stuck his tongue out that killua had sharp fangs.

Killua gave him a blank look "you've really never heard of a werecat? Are you really that stupid?" Killua sighed at the blank look on Gon's face "normally, i wouldn't explain something like this to anyone, but you caught me in a good mood. Werecats are a race similar to humans, but much superior. You can tell us apart from you humans because of our unique features" Killua flattened his hair and two pure white ears popped out.

"Wow! You have cat ears! Do you have a tail too!"

Killua rolled his eyes "obviously" he reached back and pulled out a long white tail out of his pants. The tale waved around like it had a mind of its own. Killua laughed "you should see the look on your face. You look so stupid!"

But Gon didn't hear a word. He couldn't believe this was happening. He's never heard of a werecat or anything like this. Was this Killua a new species? If he turned him in would it count as a new groundbreaking discovery? Would this impress his dad? No, maybe not Killua wasn't a fossil or anything so his father wouldn't be interested in something like this. There was no benefit to turning Killua in.

Gon watched Killua laugh, staring at his sharp canines. Does Killua eat what cats do? He thought.

Killua blushed "what are you staring at?" He immediately stopped smiling, his tail freezing in midair.

"Nothing, I was just wondering. What do you eat? The same things as cats?"

Killua blushed even deeper. "I do not eat the same things as cats. I eat regular food. Thank you very much." he crossed his arms and turned around facing his back to Gon.

"Oh, I was just wondering if you would like to join my mother and I for dinner?" Gon learned from Aunt Mito that it was polite to ask someone to eat with them if they show up at meal time. And even if Killua was part cat he was still part human. Right?

Killua scoffed, "why would I want to eat dinner with you two?"

"Because Aunt Mito makes the best food! And we're going to have cake afterwards! So what do you think?!" Gon was practically jumping up and down in his chair. He's never had a friend over for dinner before.

Killua's tail wagged "I don't think so. I need to do something anyways." Killua walked past Gon to the window.

"Aww, you sure? Aunt Mito is cooking fish tonight" Gon said.

Killua's ear twitched and he froze. Gon could swear he heard a small "mew" come from him. Then Killua shook his head

"Yes, I'm sure" Killua huffed.

"Fine," Gon sighed "but you're missing out"

"Whatever" Killua said hotly. Killua was looking out the window, pressing against it "just go away" he started to trace the seal around the window with a curious look.

Gon wanted to say that this was his room and Killua was the one who barged in, but that was rude.

Then a voice called from downstairs. "Gon! Dinner!"

Killua froze. "who's that?"

"That's my Aunt. The one that was cooking the fish" Gon got up from his chair and started to head to his door. "You sure you don't want to eat with us? Last chance."

"Yes I'm sure. Go and eat your fish" Killua said fish like it was an insult.

"Ok" Gon left killua in his room. The last thing he saw, Killua was trying to push up on his window.

Gon came down the stairs and headed to the dining room. The house wasn't big, just a simple 3 bedroom 2 bathroom kind of house, but he lived here with his Aunt Mito for as long as he could remember. And he couldn't think of anything better.

"What was all of that noise up there?" Aunt Mito said as she was setting the food on the table.

"Oh it was nothing I was just... Jumping around" Gon didn't want to tell Aunt Mito about Killua, he was confused by Killua himself so it wouldn't do much good telling his Aunt about it.

"Oook" she said unconvinced "sit, I made fried fish today"

"Thank you for the food!" and Gon dived in, scarfing down the food as fast as he could.

They ate most of the meal in silence, that is until Aunt Mito brought up the subject of his grades. She yelled at him for more than an hour about him getting C's in his grade book. And all Gon could do was repeatedly say "I'm sorry"

Eventually, Aunt Mito thought he had enough of her lectures for one day and she brought out the cake.

"What's the special occasion?" Gon asked.

"It's nothing, I just wanted to make a cake. No big deal" she ate a bite of her cake.

Gon followed her example and almost melted when the flavors of the cake hit his tongue. It was the best thing he had ever tasted!

"Wow this is delicious!" Gon stood from his chair, looking at the whole cake. It was beautiful, there were so many colors that blended together.

"Thank you Gon, now sit and finish your cake"

Gon finally finished his cake and headed to his room. What he found there was surprising.

Killua was still there, but he was sitting on the ground beneath the window now.

"Finally" Killua said.

"I thought you were going to leave?" the last Gon saw of Killua, he was trying to open the window. Gon's eyebrows lifted as realization hit him.

Killua noticed Gon's expression and blushed. "ya, ok. I don't know how to get out of here. This clear wall is blocking my exit."

Gon laughed. he didn't want to be rude but he couldn't help himself.

"here." Gon said walking to the window "I'll help you,"

when Gon approached Killua, Killua flinched and made a hissing noise. "What do you think you're doing!?"

Gon froze midway to the window "I'm just trying to help you. I was going to open the window."

Killua relaxed a little "oh, well carry on then" Killua got out of the way of the widow, and stood awkwardly off the the side of it.

Gon fiddled with the window lock a little before it clicked and he opened it. "There, you can go now" Gon gestured to the window.

Killua slowly approached the window avoiding eye contact with Gon. he looked down at the ground through the window before coming back inside.

"I guess this is goodbye. don't tell anyone about me." Killua ordered. and before Gon could respond, Killua jumped out the window and ran off into the trees. Gon stared out the window for a long while after Killua left. he secretly wanted the white haired boy to stay, but he couldn't keep him trapped here against his will. that would have been cruel. Eventually the moon came up sitting in the highest part of the sky, and Gon decided that it was time to get to bed.

as Gon lay in his bed he couldn't help but wonder what Killua was doing. he thought back to when the strange boy appeared in his bedroom. it sounded like he was looking for something. had he found it? if he did would he go back to his home? would he never see him again?

Gon fell asleep thinking of this.

When Killua woke up that morning he thought it was going to be a normal day, but to his surprise it wasn't. Halfway through it he was sent on a mission by his father to track down a member of the werewolf race. His father said it should be easy for the heir to the kingdom. after all it was like a right of passage in his family to kill werewolves. His father had taken this to a new extreme when he single-handedly wiped out nearly their whole race. and the only reason he stopped was because he wanted there to be more for him to kill in the future. Unfortunately, news came up that some of the werewolves escaped to different worlds. his father was pissed, how was he supposed to kill them if they were a whole world away. that's where he came in, while his father was ruling the kingdom he was here on a wild goose chase to hunt down werewolves. if it was anyone else telling him to do this he would have just declined, but he could never say no to his father.

Killua ran past tree after tree trying to search for a town or city. but for some reason these woods just kept on going. it was like that black haired kid lived in the middle of nowhere. and to make matters worse there was snow everywhere.

Eventually he found his way to a town of sorts. it was tall and smelled burnt. he'd never seen anything like this in his world. cautiously, he crept into the outer line of houses. he was trained in the art of the assassin so even with the bare amount of cover around here he was still able to be unseen.

He studied the people as they walked past. they all looked like regular humans, nothing out of the ordinary. Killua sniffed the air, but other than the smell of that burning whatever it was, there was nothing there either.

he was stumped. there had to be a reason he was sent to this place. there had to have been some type of strange creature here. Then his thoughts drifted to the boy named Gon. maybe he was the one?

no, that was impossible. Gon was as normal as they come. but there was this feeling connected to him, like he was drawn to him. but he couldn't figure out why. Killua's face went hot, and he quickly shook it off. was this some kind of special power he had? was he controlling my emotions?

Killua had almost convinced himself this was the case before he remembered that Gon was just a regular human. he couldn't have powers like this. but then why was he like this?

then Killua stiffened. he felt something in the air, a lust for blood. his pupils dilated and sharpened, and his claws came out.

he looked around the street and saw a masked man pull a knife on an older woman. he yelled for her to get on the ground and give him all she had. the lady quickly emptied all of her pockets giving him a wad of some kind of paper and a golden necklace.

the man snatched up the things in the woman's hands and he ran away, unfortunately that happened to be in Killua's direction.

Killua followed him into a dark alley and saw him counting the paper. Normally he wouldn't have bothered with petty thieves, but today he was a little annoyed and he needed something to distract him.

he followed the man into a dark alley, and watched him count the paper, his mask left forgotten on the ground. Killua slowly approached him from behind, not making a single noise. then when he was right behind him he tapped his foot on the damp stone, the tap echoing throughout the alley. the man jumped and dropped the paper and the necklace. he turned around with a face full of fear, but as soon as he saw Killua his fear melted.

"What are you doing here kid, don't you know it's dangerous to be in dark alleys?" the man rose to his full height, and drew a knife "I would just tell you to scram, being a kid and all. But unfortunately, you've seen my face so now I can't let you go."

Killua watched as the man played with the point of his knife, clearly trying to be intimidating, but it only came up as funny to him. It would be a cinch to kill him, but he wanted to see how this would play out.

Killua slaped his hands on his cheeks in mock terror "oh no, don't kill me" he said dryly, backing up slowly.

The man laughed "don't worry I'll make it quick" he traced the knife across his throat grinning.

Killua's eyebrows raised, he had to admit, that was a little creepy; however, it would take a lot more than that to shake him. Killua turned and ran, not at full speed but just fast enough to make the man run after him.

"Where do you think you're going?! We're not done here!" the man yelled after him.

The man was surprisingly fast, catching up to him within a couple of seconds. The man lounged and grabbed Killua's ankles, making him fall to the ground. He got on top of him, pinning him down under his weight.

"Sorry little boy, but it's time for you to die!" the man yelled, his voice almost cheerful. Killua heard the unmistakable sound of a knife cutting through the air whelp that was fun while it lasted. He bucked the man off of his back making him fly through the air. And turned towards him.

"Thank you for that, I really needed something to distract me. But unfortunately for you I'm bored now"

The man's face was a cross between confusion and shock. "H-how did yo-" then his eyes flicked up to Killua's head, and he screamed "what the hell are you! Get away from me you freak" the man backed up, still on the ground.

Killua just laughed, "you don't have to worry about what I am, after all you won't be around long enough to fully understand it"

The man screamed one last time before he went silent.

Killua emerged from the alley with a wad of paper and a golden necklace. He was tempted to just take them, after all he's the one that did all of that work to get them, but after looking at the necklace it seemed to be something of sentimental value, and he wasn't so heartless to steal it for himself. As for the paper, it looked to be some kind of currency, and that had no sentimental value... Sooo, he looked around before pocketing the cash, and walked away whistling to himself.

The woman wasn't that hard to find. She was clumsy and left tracks to follow everywhere. He found her huddled in a corner crying to herself.

Tsk, humans they're always so soft. He didn't feel bad in the slightest for her, it was her fault for being so helpless. But he approached her anyways. He walked up to the woman and casually dangled the necklace in front of her, trying to look anywhere but at her. It took a second for the woman to notice it. She whipped her eyes and stared at it, like she couldn't believe it was real. The woman looked up at him with an amazed face, her mouth open like she wanted to say something but couldn't find the right words.

"Would you just take it already?" Killua said with an annoyed voice.

She nodded her head and grabbed the necklace from him, holding it to her chest like it was her baby.

Killua tried to take that chance to escape, but was stopped by the woman's voice.

"Thank you." she was on the verge of tears again.

"Ugh" Killua sighed, he wasn't good at the whole emotional thing "don't mention it". But the woman kept looking at him. He tried to sneak away again, but was stopped again when she spoke again.

"Come here I want to show you something"

Killua begrudgingly walked over to her. The lady fidgeted with the necklace before she opened it, it wasn't a necklace at all it was a locket. She held it up to him, there was a picture of what looked to be a man dressed in a brown suit holding a baby.

Killua could tell the man was dressed for war, he'd seen that look on many of his people's faces before they sent them to the front lines. And the baby looked just like him, obviously it was his. He looked at the woman, realization hitting him. That must be her husband and baby. But he knew that there was more than just that, the picture was faded and scratched like It had been in there for a long time, and obviously looked at often and there was only one explanation for that.

Killua frowned at the woman "how did it happen?" he said softly.

The woman's lips tightened, "They both died in a car crash, I was the only survivor" she choked after saying the last part and started to sob again "that was 3 years ago today," she said in between the sobs.

Killua watched as the woman's tears dripped onto her shirt. What was he supposed to say to that? I'm sorry for your loss? At least you're still alive? He wished he could just dissolve.

His pocket with the money in it started to get heavier, to the point where he couldn't think of anything but it, causing a mental war to break out.

'She needs it more than I do'

'No, you need it. It's all you got out here'

'I can just steal more from someone else. It wouldn't be that hard'

'And risk yourself being caught? That's a stupid move.'

'I wouldn't get caught.'

'There's always a chance.'

Killua hated himself, how could he be such a coward. He couldn't even risk the smallest amount of a chance of him getting found out to help this lady. His hand was clamped around the money in his pocket, straining against the two commands in his mind.

'Give it to her!'

'No! Keep it!'

Killua's head felt like it was separating under the strain.

The woman seemed to notice this internal battle, and saw that his hand was clamped in his pocket, because she broke In with a soft and caring voice "keep it"

Killua froze, his hand still clamped over the money.

"The money I mean, you look like you need it more than I do.'' and at the disagreeable look on Killua's face she added "think of it as a thank you for returning my locket. You were very brave to confront that man for it"

Killua blushed "it was nothing"

The woman simply smiled, rising up to her feet. "I must be going. My mother is waiting for me. Thank you again for this. I won't forget you"

Killua made a waving motion with his hand. "I said it was nothing," he said, his face turning red again. "I should go to... I have loads to do" he quickly turned around and ran In the opposite direction as the lady.

The woman watched as he ran and noticed something peeking out of the top of the boys head. She gasped, it was cat ears! She grinned, it was the spirit of fortune! A legend in her family. It said that at your hour of most need it would come and help you, and once you've seen it you would be forever fortunate. "Thank you, great spirit of fortune!" she yelled after him before running to her house.

Killua booked it out of there as fast as he could, but he slowed down when he heard the woman yell something at him. What did she call him? Spirit of something? He watched the woman run away, before shrugging it off. She was probably just thanking him again.

Killua walked all throughout the city that night scoping it out and memorizing the layout. He looked around trying to find the most likely area where a werewolf would hide. But the city was completely normal, besides the robbing of that lady nothing else strange seemed to happen here. He began to wonder if they sent him to the right location.

Eventually he made it to a large bridge floating above the city. From it he smelled that familiar burning smell and heard loud noises. What's happening up there? Killua decided to climb it to see what was going on up there. The climb up to the top was easy enough, but he couldn't help wondering how these humans built this. It was completely made of stone, and somehow floating above the ground. It would have been impossible without magic.

He made it to the top In no time flat, even doing a little flip to land on the surface of the structure. The flip however might not have been the smartest idea. As soon as he landed he felt a tingling sensation in his gut, something that only happens when he was in danger. A loud noise blared out into the night, disorienting him. He clutched his sensitive ears and turned to see what was making the horrible sound, just in time to see two lights approaching him at high speeds. He'd never seen something move so fast, even at his top speed he would have been slower than these floating lights. Killua had no time to react, and with a large "wham" Killua was sent flying through the air.

He hit the ground hard, and he instantly knew the full extent of his damage. His right arm was broken so was one of his ribs; his left ankle was definitely sprained, and he had a large gash on his head, luckily he had no concussion. He quickly got into his uninjured foot and held out his left arm ready to fight. This light monster was going to be sorry it messed with him.

Killua stared down the lights, and they stared him down, but for some reason they didn't approach him. Was it scarred? Well, it should be, it wasn't going to get out of here alive.

"You coward! Confront me!" Killua yelled at the light beast.

The next thing he heard was the sound of a slam, and a voice of a man.

"Oh god! I can't believe I just hit a kid with my car!" the man's voice shook.

The figure of a man stepped in front of the light.

"Oh good your standing" a man's voice said. Now that he was in front of the lights he could see that it was just a human. He was shaking from head to toe, and he had a nervous smile on his face. "Are you ok? You can't be hurt too bad if you're standing, right?"

Killua glared at the man. So he was the one that hit him, he was controlling a machine of some sort. What had he called it? A car? Well, he and his car messed with the wrong guy.

The man approached Killua hesitantly. He pointed to the gash on his forehead "that's quite the wound you got there" the man laughed nervously.

Killua's anger flared, how dare someone laugh at him especially after they used something as cheap as this to wound him. This man was asking for it. His eyes turned dark and cat-like and his nails extended.

"Here let me help you" he reached out his hand to touch Killua.

In a blink of an eye killua was on the man's shoulders, his hands around his neck. The man could only grunt in surprise before Killua snapped his neck.

Killua then turned to the car and with surprising strength flipped it over and shredded it to pieces. He left the scene with no evidence he had ever been there, and the man thrown in the pile of metal that was his car.

Once Killua was far enough away from the crime his adrenaline wore off. His nails retracted and his eyes shrunk back to normal. His injuries were starting to bother him, not that they hurt but that they stopped him from functioning properly. His breathing was sharp and shallow, his fight with the car had worsened his injuries, he thought that his rib had punctured one of his lungs. And now that he was out of the fight he noticed that he did have a concussion, he was just too pumped up to notice. And his arm was bent at a strange angle. Nothing he couldn't handle, he's had way worse than this.

As he walked down the street people stared and pointed, and a couple even offered to help him. Talking about something called an ambulance, but he ignored them and kept walking.

One dude had walked up to him and poked him on his bad arm "woah dude, you don't look so hot. And your arm looks all funky"

Killua just glared at him and grabbed his bad arm with his good one with a nauseating crack he bent his arm back to the shape it was supposed to be. The man's face turned green and he threw up on the side of the road, And Killua kept walking.

Killua had no idea where he was going but he needed to find someplace safe to rest and heal his injuries. And just as he was thinking of a place to go it started to rain. Killua said this day was getting worse and worse.

Killua remembered an area where there was a metal cover of some sort over a hole. He didn't explore the hole at that time because of the smell, but now was the perfect time to explore it to get out of the rain. And would know maybe there was a werewolf down there and he could finally get out of this cursed world.

Killua traced his way back to the hole he found and removed the metal cap. The smell was foul, but nothing he couldn't handle. He jumped in. The fall was farther than he thought it would be at first and when he landed his weak foot couldn't handle the pressure. He fell into a thick liquid that smelled like literal shit.

Killua quickly climbs out of the sludge and wipes himself off the best he can. But his clothes and hair are still caked in the stuff. He huffed, this wasn't going to work. He racked his brain for another safe place, but he couldn't think of one. That was until a certain boy popped into his mind.

Even though Killua didn't like it, he was his last hope. He was getting dizzy from his concussion and he wasn't sure how long he had before his body shut down. Reluctantly Killua climbed out of the hole.

Gon woke up late in the night to the sound of taping on his window. What could that be? He lived on the second story of his house and could get up here. Gon walked over thinking it might have been a bird, but he still wanted to see. Maybe the bird wanted to be his friend.

But to his surprise it wasn't a bird at all, but Killua.

"Killua! What are you doing here?" Gon yelled excitedly through the glass.

Killua glared at him "I need somewhere to stay for while and I was wondering if i-" before Killua could even finish his sentence Gon opened the window and pulled him inside.

"Of course you can stay here!" Gon smiled. Then his nose wrinkled. Something stunk. He sniffed the air and then sniffed Killua.

"Ew, Killua you smell" Gon said waving his hand in front of his nose. Then he noticed the state his new friend was in. His face was cut and scratched, he was breathing funny and he was swaying back and forth his pupils were two different sizes. "Oh no! What happened to Killua!" Killua winced at the volume of his voice and Gon flushed "oh, sorry I'll be more quiet."

Killua sighed "it's been a long day" he said simply.

Gon wanted more details, but decided Killua wasn't in any condition to speak.

"We need to get you cleaned up" Gon quickly ran to his door, opened it and checked the hallways, making sure his Aunt wasn't there. Then he grabbed Killua, putting Killua's arm around his neck and grabbing his waist. Killua was barely conscious at this point, so he was doing most of the work.

Gon carried Killua all the way down stairs to the bathroom, which wasn't hard because he was surprising light. He tried to be silent as he opened the bathroom door, but it squeaked loudly. He held his breath hoping his Aunt wouldn't wake up, luckily she didn't seem to hear it.

He carried Killua to the bathtub and put him inside fully clothed. He turned the water on hoping it wouldn't be too cold. When the water hit Killua he seemed to wake up a bit. Gon tugged at Killua's shirt trying to get it off, but it was glued to his body with blood.

Gon jumped when Killua's hand grabbed his wrist; he had an iron grip. Gon automatically dropped Killua's shirt. "I can bathe myself," he said sternly, even though his voice was weak. "Leave".

Gon didn't want to, he didn't think Killua could sit up, let alone bathe himself. But he got up and said "ok" before leaving and shutting the door behind him. He didn't go far though, he waited on the other side of the bathroom door listening for anything strange.

Soon enough, Gon heard a grunt and a large splash, and a couple of bangs. Gon immediately rushed inside. Killua was laying in the bathtub, his head laying on the side of the bath, apparently knocked out. Killua's shirt was halfway on and his arms were tangled in the fabric. Gon couldn't help but smile, Killua was so stubborn he sensed that from the second they met.

Gon worked swiftly, undressing Killua, being careful not to worsen any injuries he had. Gon gasped when he saw the pale teens chest and back. He had scars all over; some looked deep and criss crossed, like whip marks. Gon couldn't even imagine what Killua has been through. How does someone get so many scares? And his new injuries looked bad too, his head had a deep gash that looked like it could need stitches, his arm and ankle was swollen, he couldn't tell whether they were broken or not. Gon tried to think of what could have caused all of this. Did he get hit by a train?

Gon had some medical training from Aunt Mito, but he was way over his head with this one. He decided he would just try to clean him up as best he could and let the rest be, hopefully they would take care of themselves.

In the middle of cleaning Killua's face Gon got distracted by something twitching on Killua's head. Gon looked up and saw Killua's ears twitching around, he had completely forgotten about Killua's tail and ears. Gon watched them for a while before he reached out and touched them. They felt just like his old cats, and he couldn't help but think Killua looked cute with them. But with a shake of his head he got back to work.

Killua's clothes were torn to shreds so Gon had to grab some of his own to dress Killua. It was tough to dry and cloth Killua, he was strangely stiff like he was tensing up. Gon hoped he wasn't having a seizure or something.

Once he was dressed he carried him upstairs and put him in his bed, before grabbing the medical kit they had. He wrapped Killua's arm and his ankle hoping it would reduce the swelling at least. Then he tried putting stitches in his for head. He was nervous the whole time but his lessons with Mito seemed to pay off because his stitches didn't look too bad.

After putting some Band-Aids over the minor wounds he left Killua to rest, pulling his blankets over him.

Gon found a comfortable spot on the ground and quickly drifted off to sleep, the night's work catching up to him.
