Author's note : The whole story is narrated through Zane's POV to not be confused while reading. He maybe here was OOC but I don't care I like him this way . Bold writings are his doctor talking to him anditalics are your said words to him . I know some of you might want to be other than being a doctor but this is what I came up through thinking . I was listening to Supernatural by Daughtry while writing , it made the scene in my head genuinely amazing 3 . I hope you enjoy ;)) !
I was off from the Pro Leagues today to attend my doctor's appointment this evening . I had to convince myself if I had to stop taking medication or should I stick with them forever . As I was walking ward by ward , I didn't pay attention to who I stumbled on. It was another doctor , a girl doctor to be precised . She was so beautiful , naturally radiating . She had pale skin , brown hair and eyes , wearing a blue rounded glasses . Her white coat fitted well enough for her . Apparently , she might of known my doctor .
- " I'm sorry , I was just trying to find Dr. Everlee, if she's here . I have my appointment with her . " I said as I faced her . I locked my blue teal eyes with her brown ones . I couldn't help but to redden .
- " It's alright , Dr Everlee isn't here for the moment . You can have some time in my office if you want to wait 20 minutes for her . I'm free from patients this time so I could use my break to have a talk with someone . " she said . Her voice was so smooth and calm .
I followed her as she showed me to her office . I walked in and sat down in front of her . We went through an awkward silence for a minute . Then she spoke up .
- " So you're the Zane Truesdale ? I've watched your matches on TV , and I admit you're a very unique person. In real time , I find you more like the shy person who has a lot of potential. I've heard also quite about you from Dr Everlee . I can't say I was wrong . "
- " That's true , I can tell you can see through people's personality however you're not a person who judges a book based on its cover . I don't know if Dr Everlee told you why I'm here . " I answered , she was genuinely kind .
- " Dr Everlee did tell me Zane , you have a heart aneurysm. In fact Melissa and I are very good friends and my dearest colleague . So we practically know about each other's patients . "
- " It's amazing to get to know you Dr... " it was confusing that I hadn't know her name , yet she knows mine .
- " I'm y/n , or as you want formally calling Dr. y/l/n . But please Zane just keep it with y/n . "
I felt relieved , y/n , that's a beautiful name , it fits her looks , and truthfully her personality and smartness. I was so shy to ask her about her number , we could have coffee sometime . Am I afraid to tell her , or is it love at first sight ?
We kept talking about my condition and the difficulty of Pro Leagues until Dr Everlee came to y/n's office to find us talking .
- " I see you kept talking with one of my favourite patients , y/n . " my doctor laughed and said
- " At least I'm not stealing them , Melissa ! " the other one answered .
Little does she know she is stealing my heart and my soul . I think I can ask her before I leave . So as I saw Dr Everlee getting out and telling me to follow her , I went fast to her and said :
" We can have coffee next time when I'm free Doc . Can I have your number ? "
She nodded and smiled as she wrote her number . I left cheering inside happily , as I went to Everlee's office .
An hour past between test results and explanations ...
- " So Zane , we are in a good progress , you might stick with the medication a bit longer but I'll make sure to minimise the dose . "
- " Thank you doctor . " I smiled as I walked out of her office .
I left the hospital more than happy . I got almost rid of the medication I'm taking and on the other hand I asked a girl out on a date . I can't wait till I meet y/n y/l/n again ...
