Luis walked up the creaky stairs to the attic in his home, His daughter Cherry was already up there waiting for him, The man groaned when he almost stepped on her boyfriend for the 5th time.
"Will you get the fuck out of my way?" The father asked, Glaring down at the little blue haired pest.
"Beep bap bop!" Luis rolled his eyes, The boy's tone mimicked that of an annoyingly enthusiastic. 'No can do sir!'
He supposed they had the right to be annoyed and or upset, The man trapped a demonic spirit into a game without considering the consequences, But he was young and stupid, Luis stuck to viewpoint of barely being in the wrong, The kids would understand one day.
As he got closer, Luis heard an odd repeating thud sound, Like someone was pounding on a window from outside, He knew for a fact that the attic had no windows.
"Hey, Hey, Relax a bit okay? You'll be out soon." He heard his daughter's soft voice reply, The thuds ceased.
The father sighed, He knew he was in for a shit show pretty soon.
Finally he reached the top of the stairs, Already feeling so tempted to just kick his daughter's boyfriend down said stairs.
What he saw next challenged his pissed off mood, Inside the small box like tv, He saw a blonde haired boy, A young adult he assumed, The boy saw Luis and froze, Terrified, The father may not have as strong paternal instincts or feelings as his wife but something about the scene stung at his core, Maybe it was the overprotection he felt towards his only daughter seeping beyond just her, It did not matter.
Luis came here for a specific reason, He won't stray.
None the less he stepped forward, Infront of the screen, It was time.
Luis saw the boyfriend scurry to his daughter in the corner of his eye, The blue haired menace held her protectively, Atleast that's a start.
He turned his focus back to the task at hand, The father established a tether from the real world to the console.
So far so good.
Luis felt the presence of the spirit he trapped in the game, He pushed and kept the pest as far away from his target as he could, That was a considerable drain on his energy.
Dragging the video game character out was simple enough, The difficult part was now, His power went into constructing a living and functioning form for it.
The tv cut to static as the spell started, He crouched down as to be closer to the screen, One of his hands against the smooth glass tv screen and the other kept the father balanced where he was on his knees on the floor.
Then something went wrong...
He suddenly felt a second force begin to drain his power, Luis fell back, Onto the illuminated wood floor, He heard a gasp behind him, He wanted to tell his daughter that he was okay but he needed to concentrate.
It was too late to stop now..
The spell was at it's end, The father knew what came next, He quickly scrambled to get up and ran to his daughter and her boyfriend, Suddenly shielding them as a large wave tore though the air, Dislodging dust and loose debris.
Everyone coughed, The blue menace and his daughter were the first to regain respiratory clarity.
Luis could hear another cough, The voice lined up too with the guy he was asked to free.
Then another... With a much younger sounding voice.
Once the dust cleared, He saw, The dating sim's main love interest...
And then a anthropomorphic dog in hipster clothing and a bright orange beanie... Well... That explains what happened to his power..
