As gold approached the route leading to Blackthorn City, he suddenly got an idea into his head. I should have Jasmine meet me at new bark town after I win the last gym badge. That way we can see each other off before I leave for the Pokémon league.
Gold continued to the route to the ice path and had reached his last obstacle before blackthorn city. The ice path is so dang cold I hope I can get through there while still staying warm. Just before Gold was going to step into the cave with the ice path in it, he heard a voice behind him shouting at him. Gold hold on wait for me I am coming with you! Gold turned around and saw Jasmine running up behind him.
Gold suddenly went from being nervous to being overjoyed with happiness as he came face to face with Jasmine once more. Jasmine you are here for me said Gold. Yes, I do not mind that its cold at all since I brought us clothing for us to wear while we are in there said Jasmine.

That sounds like it would be safer if we do that said Jasmine. But first maybe we should change into our winter clothing. Jasmine put on her winter clothes and Gold had his on by the time Jasmine had finished with hers. Well, we are ready to go now said Gold as he took Jasmine by the hand.
Stay right beside me beautiful. Jasmine's face turned red as she heard what Gold just said. Gold and Jasmine walked off toward the ice path and headed inside. As the two continued through the ice path, they came across something familiar. Get down stay out of site said Gold as he and Jasmine crouched behind a rock.

So, now that we got the diamonds what should we do now ask one of the team rockets grunts. We need to head toward Blackthorn city said the other grunt. We will meet up with the others there.
Heh, taking these diamonds from those people was like taking candy from a baby said the first grunt. The two grunts then headed toward the exit of the cave. Breaks over Jasmine lets go said Gold. Wait, what is the plan asked Jasmine? We take those diamonds back from team rocket and return them to their rightful owner said Gold.
Then that is what we will do said Jasmine. Gold and Jasmine found the exit of the cave and headed outside. When they emerged from the cave, they realized they had entered blackthorn city. We are finally in blackthorn city said Gold. Now we just need to find the entrance to team rockets hideout. Gold and Jasmine headed farther into blackthorn city looking for any sign of team rocket or their hideout.
There that building looks different from the rest said Jasmine. Like it had just completed not that long ago said Jasmine. That kind of looks a little suspicious said Gold. Let us check it out. Gold and Jasmine approached the building but when they got closer, they overheard a conversation.
All right, you got the stuff right asked one of the guards. Yes, it is all right here one of the rocket grunts said. Perfect head on inside the boss is waiting. The grunt headed on inside while the other guard continued to stay at his post. How are we going to get in asked Gold? Like this said Jasmine as she pointed toward an open-air duct leading into the building.
Great idea Jasmine, they will never see us coming said Gold as he and Jasmine entered through the open air-duct. There is not a whole lot of room in here so you might have to go prone to make it through said Jasmine. I got it said Gold. Gold and Jasmine army crawled through the air-duct and were making progress through the building.
As Gold and Jasmine inched farther and farther into the building, they could see light coming through one of the vents on the floor of the air-duct. Hey, hold up I can hear something sounds like a conversation said Gold. Here are the goods boss said one of the grunts. Well, you accomplished your mission like a professional said the boss.
Ah, beautiful diamonds these are worth a huge amount of money. We will be able to sell these for a very handsome profit. Now leave I must figure out what to do next. Yes, boss I will take my leave said the grunt. With that the grunt walked out of the room leaving the boss to himself. Gold and Jasmine watched as the boss put the diamonds in his pocket.
The boss then left the room leaving Gold and Jasmine alone. Come on, we are getting those diamonds back said Gold as he unscrewed the vent leading to the room below. Let us be quick about this said Jasmine. Gold went down feet first and landed on wooden crates right below the vent. Gold then helped Jasmine get down onto the crates below the vent and the two were now in the boss's office.
I am going to check the desk and see what I can find said Gold. You on the other hand Jasmine look around and see if you can find anything that might help us. Gold and Jasmine began searching the room looking around for anything that might help. As Gold and Jasmine continued searching, they came across a note saying the diamonds belonged to an old wealthy family in Kanto. The note even listed their address and the name of the person who owned the diamonds.
This is good we need this said Gold as he stuffed the note into his pocket. Suddenly Gold and Jasmine could hear someone approaching the door. Someone is coming get down said Jasmine as she motioned to Gold to find a place to hide. Gold and Jasmine ducked down behind the crates.
Someone had entered the room. As gold sneaked a peek to see who it was the person who entered the room noticed Gold's hat on top of his head which was peering out from above the crate. Intruders said the grunt who found Gold and Jasmine ducked down behind the crate. Come out with your hands up said the grunt.
Gold and Jasmine stood up with their hands held in the air. How did you manage to get in here without anyone noticing asked the grunt? I guess it does not matter now since you are now our prisoners. The Grunt radioed into his walkie talkie that they had found two suspicious individuals and requested an immediate transport to cells.

As the two stayed silent two guards came to the office to assist the grunt who was holding Gold and Jasmine hostage. Intruders asked one of the guards.
Yes, take them to the holding cell said the Grunt. The two guards motioned for Gold and Jasmine to follow them, and Gold and Jasmine had no choice but to obey. The two guards blindfolded Gold and Jasmine as they were all tied up together and put into a holding cell. The two guards then took Gold's and Jasmine's Pokémon from them as well as their items and bags leaving them with nothing.
As Gold and Jasmine sat tied up in the center of a holding cell, they could hear the guards leave the area and disappear further into the building. Hey, jasmine can you hear me asked Gold? Loud and clear said Jasmine. You know I got us into one heck of a pickle here said Gold. It is not your fault Gold said Jasmine. Yes, but if I had not stuck my head up and made my hat visible, we would not be in this situation said Gold.
I think we would have had to confront them eventually if we wanted to get the diamonds said Jasmine. That is true said Gold. I do not think we could get the diamonds without confronting the boss. You know what it does not matter now what does matter is how we are going to get out of here said Jasmine. Can you try and untie the rope that has gotten our hands tied together asked Gold?
I can try said Jasmine as she began fidgeting with the rope. You try too gold. Gold and Jasmine began moving the rope around using their fingers and fingertips as their only form of hand movement. Gold and Jasmine began moving around the room and seeing if they could find something that they could use to get the rope off. Now we need to undue our blindfolds said Jasmine as she took hers off. Now for yours stand still. Jasmine undid gold's blindfold and now the two were looking at each other. I could have gotten that off myself but honestly, I am glad you did it instead said Gold. Jasmine began giggling you are just so dang cute you know that said Jasmine.
Well, it is not the only thing that is cute around here said Gold. Jasmine and Gold both blushed. Jasmine then suddenly hugged Gold and kissed him. How did you like that asked Jasmine? I wish you would do that again said Gold.
Jasmine did as commanded and hugged and kissed Gold again. Did that satisfy you asked Jasmine? Most definitely said Gold. Now come on we need to get moving. Gold and Jasmine joined hands as they got out of the cell they were in and headed back into the main part of the hideout.
Where do we go from here asked Gold? Let us just keep going down this way said Jasmine. Gold and Jasmine ran through the hallways before seeing the boss talking to one of his associates. All right, you two guys are coming with me to do the deal said the boss. I am not sure I completely trust these guys I am dealing with here.
Yes, Giovanni we will be right behind you said the two grunts. Okay, the meeting place is in a clearing in the forest said the boss. It is desolate and hardly anyone goes through there. It is below blackthorn city.
The boss and his grunts headed outside of the building and disappeared. All right, we got to stop those guys and get the diamonds come on said Gold. Wait, Gold do you think we can win this asked Jasmine? We have too said Gold. Between the two of us we can win this.
I hope your right said Jasmine. Gold and Jasmine headed out of the building and down into the forest below blackthorn. As Gold and Jasmine ran down the path in the forest, they came to the middle of the forest. This looks like a big clearing and could be the meeting place said Gold.
Here let us get down behind the bushes here and see if anyone shows up said Jasmine as she motioned for Gold to join her. Gold and Jasmine crouched behind the bushes and this time Gold made certain to take his hat off. Let us just wait here for a bit said Gold. What is your plan Gold asked Jasmine? I think when the opportunity presents itself, we use my Skarmory to snatch the diamonds right from their hands said Gold.
Skarmory can then fly away and meet us away from here. That is not's a bad idea but how are we going to escape team rocket asked Jasmine? Does your steelix know sandstorm asked Gold? Yes, it does know that move said Jasmine. Then we will use that move on team rocket and that will cover our escape said Gold.
I think that might just work said Jasmine. Hey, gold, come closer to me. Gold inched closer to Jasmine. Jasmine then kissed Gold passionately and pulled away from him. A kiss for good luck said Jasmine.
Always appreciated said Gold. Gold and Jasmine heard voices approaching the area. Somebody is coming said Jasmine. So, boss this is where we are meeting the buyer asked the grunt. Yes, setup shop here and we will await their arrival said the boss.
The grunts began setting up shop to prepare for the buyer's arrival. All right, we wait for them all to gather here and then we go ahead with the plan said Gold. Gold and Jasmine waited for the buyer's arrival and a few minutes later they had finally showed up.
Gold and Jasmine were surprised that the buyer had arrived by helicopter. As the helicopter touched down a person dressed in all black appeared before the boss. So, you got the stuff asked the buyer? Yeah, I got it right here said the boss as he showed the buyer the goods.
Good, now show me the money said the boss. The buyer pulled out a briefcase loaded with money and showed it to the boss. Perfect said the boss. Now is our chance Jasmine let us go. Gold and Jasmine took out a poke ball containing Steelix and Skarmory. Steelix, I need you to use sandstorm when I tell you to okay asked Jasmine.
Steelix nodded in agreement. Skarmory, I need you to get those diamonds back and fly away from here said Gold. Fly all the way to blackthorn city and wait for us there. Skarmory looked at Gold as if he understood what was being asked of him. Now, go Skarmory snatch those diamonds from the boss rocket said Gold.
Skarmory flew up into the air and headed toward the boss rocket. Because Skarmory was so fast the boss rocket had no idea the diamonds had already been taken from him until he looked down and saw they were no longer in his hands. Skarmory then flew away, quickly heading toward blackthorn city. Okay, steelix use sandstorm said Jasmine. A vicious sandstorm was summoned by steelix temporarily blinding anyone caught in the sandstorm.
With all this now done Jasmine immediately put her steelix back in the poke ball and both Jasmine and Gold ran as fast as they could out of the area and back to blackthorn city. Thankfully, they had lost team rocket and both the buyers and team rocket had no idea what happened. After the sandstorm subsided all the bad guys began chatting with one another.
What just happened asked the boss rocket? I do not know sir everything happened so fast said one of the grunts. Well, we cannot just stay here now since we do not have the diamonds anymore said the boss. The buyer then realized the deal was no good and flew away on the helicopter empty handed. Now everyone back to the hideout said the boss.
With that the diamonds were now fully out of team rockets hands and back into the hands of the proper authorities. Over in blackthorn city Jasmine and Gold had gotten back safely. We did it we got the diamonds back said Gold. Now let us give them to the police and let them deal with it from here. Gold and Jasmine walked into the police station and explained everything to the police.
Well, that is one amazing story said the police chief. To think that team rocket is right here in this town at this very moment is frightening. I will make sure the diamonds get returned to their rightful owner said the police chief. You two though should think about lying low for a while.
Thanks chief said Gold. With that Gold and Jasmine walked out of the police station. Well, that was different than the rest of the dates we have been on said Jasmine. Yes, what a date said Gold. Now I need to see if I can beat Clair the gym leader of this town.
I have been putting this off for too long now it is time to see whether I can win this or not said Gold. Jasmine come with me your about to see me win against Clair. Gold and Jasmine walked up the blackthorn gym and Gold demanded a battle with Clair. A battle with you huh, we will see if you can beat me or not said Clair.
With that the battle commenced and Gold and Clair were locked in a battle. Both competitors did not want to lose but eventually Gold's Typhloshion nailed a critical strike with flamethrower knocking out Clair's last Pokémon and securing gold's victory. I cannot believe I lost said Clair. Here have the gym badge said Clair as gold finally secured his last gym badge of johto.
I did it! Now I can challenge the elite four. Jasmine ran over to Gold and kissed him. I am going to win more often so you do that more said Gold. Great said Jasmine. I know you liked that.
With that gold and jasmine walked out of the gym. Alright, I am heading to the Pokémon league said Gold. When I am victorious me and you are going on a special date together got it asked Gold? Cannot wait for that to happen said Jasmine. Jasmine kissed gold one more time and gold set off to the Pokémon league to become the new champion.
