Later that night, Parappa was out with the group, He stayed in back, Hoping nobody would see him and tell anyone, Like the police! Or the nice people in town!

The pup cowered at the thought, Who wouldn't? Man was he regretting this now, Parappa continued to follow them despite that, And listened in on their conversation, As they walked, He caught sight of some flyers nailed to the dark powerline polls, They all had "MISSING CHILD" at the top, That caused the pup to slowly come to a stop as he was engulfed by his thoughts.

No doubt, Everybody back home were looking and putting up flyers like that for him, He had to figure out how to get back somehow and what the heck happened in the first place, Man, He had a lot on his plate right now, Before he could dig himself into a deeper pit, A voice disrupted his thoughts.

"Hey loosseer! You coming or what?" Roy said, Frowning in obvious annoyance.

Parappa crossed his arms. "Yeah." He spared one more look at the flyers before turning back to the gang's leader. "Let's go."

The brunette grinned widely before running off, The pup growled a bit quietly before race walking after him, Parappa didn't even feel right walking yet so running was completely out of the question.

When he caught up to them, The trio was standing infront of a large iron fence, Then Roy spoke, scratching his chin.

"Huh, I guess they replaced that wired one."

The dog saw this as an opportune time. "Well, Since that-that, Is ou-out of the question.. We can go.. Uh, Play video games or somethin' instead?"

This obviously failed as the shorter teen turned around with a look of disgust. "Video games? What are you, 12?"

Robert seemed to snicker a little in response to the insult but Ross looked away with a blank expression.

A few minutes of silence went by and then Roy pointed at the side of a shack that almost overlapped with the fence. "There, We go around and see if we can climb up it!"

"that's a good idea." The black haired teen replied. "That's a terrible idea!" The pup cried, The brunette looked at him, A cocky grin was on his face. "Nobody asked you Rappa!"

So the gang proceeded to the shack, They looked around outside, Parappa cautiously trailing behind.

They went around to the side they couldn't previously see, Thankfully for the gang there was a conveniently placed trashcan they could use to get onto the shack's roof, Un thankfully for the pup, It also meant that the gang had a means to trespass.

Parappa didn't like it one bit, Even the trashcan made him feel uneasy, It was vandalized and had a cryptic eye drawn in neon glow in the dark paint, It also was surrounded by a red circle and a line through, Whatever this eye meant, The owner did not want it here.

He watched the boys hop onto the can and then to the roof, The teens slid down the other side of the fence easily.

Now was the pup's turn, He managed to climb the trash can, Unfortunately it shook under his weight and didn't get a good jump because of it, Which left him dangling from the shack roof where his paws managed to grab.

Parappa kicked his feet as he struggled to gain any sort of footing, He let out fearful whines as he panicked.

His paw met some sort of solid and sturdy part on the sheet metal roof, He had little difficulty reaching his other to where he presumed the place to be, It seemed study enough to pull the pup up onto the top.

When the pup was up there, He saw the gang standing in their usual formation, Robert immediately perked up and tugged on Roy's sleeve. "Roy! Roy! Oh my god! He made it up here!" The blonde haired teen said, Parappa smiled at his enthusiasm.

The shorter teen wore that malicious grin once more. "Pfft, Took him long enough!"

Parappa let his mouth hang open for a second. "Wh- What!? Are you serious dude!?" He shouted, Which gained a small laugh from Ross.

Roy turned to the the other beanie wearer in the group. "What was that!?" Ross shrugged. "I don't know dude, I thought that was funny."

The brunette sighed. "Whatever.. Let's go." The gang then slid down the other side of the fence, The pup was more reluctant to do so but did anyway due to the pressuring from his peers.

On the otherside the grass seemed uneven, There were also mounds of disturbed dirt littering the yard, Parappa was careful to avoid em. "We've here, And we've seen it, Can we leave? Please." He pled.

Roy shook his head. "We haven't gone in there yet." He pointed to a dark and scary looking house at the end of the yard.

Parappa whimpered a little, He turned around and froze when he realized, He had no choice, There's no way to get out once inside the fence.

He went back to the gang, It was his best hope of getting out of here now, The pup could feel his tail beat against the ground in that unnatural fashion he had almost gotten used to, Keyword, Almost.

The pup followed behind, He noticed that Robert looked a little on edge too, Parappa really didn't feel like putting up with Roy's rudeness at the moment, And that's what hes sure he'd get if he spoke up.

When they got onto the porch, Parappa noticed a few more things, The house was super beat up, Must have been abandoned, And there was this foul oder radiating off of it, He wasn't the only one as he saw the others recoil from it as well.

Parappa swore he saw Roy's hand tremble as he turned the door knob to let them in.

It was also dark inside, A second later Ross pulled out something from his pocket and there was a light.

"Hey, What's that?" The pup whispered. "Phone" was the response he got which still left him confused, But He had other things to worry about.

The inside of the place wasn't much better, The damage was so bad it looked like the place would collapse from one windy day and every step they took made a loud creeeeek.

The light shown a red stain on the floor, One that went from the living area to the kitchen, Parappa heard everyone gasp, He wasn't sure why, It was just a red stain, Some poor guy probably spilled his spaghetti sauce on the floor or suffered a paint disaster.

"G-Guys! Let's get out of here!" Robert cried, And the rest of the trio nodded and began to run out of the place, Of course the pup followed, As they made their way off the porch they heard a deep laugh.

Parappa turned around and saw a large creature, He had odd hands and a lemon for a face, And speaking of his face, His eyes were so big and dark, The pup stood there as it slowly made it's way down the stairs. "Aww a little puppy found his way into my home.. Here doggy doggy..." It said.

The pup felt something tug the back of his shirt. "DUMBASS! C'MON!" That helped kickstarted Parappa's brain to run like he should have, He saw Roy beside him, They both skidded to a stop infront of the locked gate.

They backed up as the lemon monster kept getting closer and closer, Parappa's back was against the gate, The monster approached, The pup leaned back and fell backward, The gate was not locked, All that climbing stuff was for nothing, Not that Parappa would care as he took off running with the gang after he got to his feet.

An hour must have passed before they stopped running, They settled down the middle of town, Infront of the candy shop, Where there was light.

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT THING!?" Roy screamed.

"I freaking told you guys it was a bad idea!" Parappa shouted in response.

The brunette rose his voice again. "HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WE'D FIND A FUCKING LEMON DEMON!?"

"We shouldn't have been there in the first place! Trespassing is crime! We're lucky we didn't get arrested!" The pup argued.

"Rappa's right, Maybe we should.. Uh, Be more careful dude." Ross spoke up.

"YEAH? WELL-" Robert too decided to throw his hat into the ring. "Yeah i agree! One of us could have really gotten hurt.."

Roy sighed. "Ugh.. Fine... We'll be more careful." The brunette made his way over to the pup. and got in close to him. "Just to be clear! I'm doing that for THEM! Not YOU!"

"Get out of my face-" Parappa growled, A moment away from doing something he'd likely regret.

"Uh.." The blonde teen spoke again. "...We should be heading home.. C'mon Roy! You can stay the night at my house!" He was probably trying to defuse the situation, He then proceeded to drag Roy away by his sweater, Leaving just Ross and the pup.

They stood there for a moment, Silently.

"So... Did you have fun?" The dark haired teen asked.

Parappa looked at him with the most puzzled, Dumbfounded expression. "What the heck do you mean? We could have gotten hurt!"

The other smiled. "Sometimes its actually fun to be scared, And it also makes pretty fun stories for later."

He didn't think about that, It does make sense.

"Well i'mma head out, Will you be okay out here?" Ross said.

"Yea." The pup simply replied. "Cool." Was the other's response before he walked away, Into the dark of night.

Now on his own again, Parappa stood there, He then realized the candy store was still open.

He slid inside and the soft bell went off, He figured that he might as well get a few treats while he was out, The store cashier looked at him a grimaced.

"Jesus man, What happened to you?"

It wasn't that much later when he finally got back to Lila's house

He rung the door bell as the door was probably locked, As expected, The purple haired woman answered, She looked down at him for a second. "Oh, There you are, I was a little worried."

Parappa choose not to tell her about the crazy stuff he went through with the gang. "Yea, I just went out to get snacks." She moved aside so he could come inside, Once he was, She shut the door carefully. "You didn't have to go by yourself you know? I'd hate for you to get in trouble out there."

The pup set the bag of treats on the table. "It's chill! Don't worry!" He heard two pairs of steps parade down the stairs.

"Pappy rappy!" Undoubtably Skid's voice, Parappa let out a small sound of surprise as the skeleton kid hugged him.

Everything was fine.

For now.
