"...And with his Righteous thunder he drove the hordes of the abyss back, and followed them to their realm, to exact vengeance for what was taken from him..."

Jackson groaned as he walked through the labyrinthine tunnels in the New York underground, wondering why he had to draw the short straw in going through rat infested corridors to fix some of the pressure issues above.

The lights from one of the trains eliminated the passage he was going through from the bars, where unbeknownst to Jackson, a meat-like growth seemed to be spreading.

As he continued to walk, the flashlight he was carrying went out right as he felt something squelch beneath his boots, praying it wasn't literal shit as he continued on, but just more squelching as he made his way in the dark.

After about twenty meters of walking like that, the flashlight winked back to life, and what was eluminated terrified him; a growth of flesh had bonded with the surrounding machinery, but worse, it had human faces.

He started to run, but something small dropped down from the ceiling and conjured up a fireball, and all you could hear was Jackson's screaming from the undergrounds depths as his light went out again. It just wasn't his day...

The Sorcerer Supreme looked out the window of the New York sanctum at the people walking the streets, envious of the little worry they had; The Avengers able to drop in when someone was about to destroy the world, and the order of Sorcerers he lead to fight the extra-dimensional threats.

The sorcerers did their best to keep a low profile however, given how the nature of their shifting dimensions could lead to the wrong people wanting to learn their ways, like what happened to the previous sorcerer supreme...

"Strange?"

Wong was standing by the stairs, waiting for his colegue to see what he needed.

"What is it? Important, I hope." the salt and pepper haired man asked, looking over at Wong, who only nodded in response before walking towards the chamber where Eye was held to show Strange what he needed to see.

"Dormammu trying anything?" Strange asked, following Wong, his curiosity getting the better of him as he followed, with the Cloak of Levitation scratching his chin as he wondered what it was.

The asian man shook his head in response as they reached the chamber of the Eye.

"Workers of the underground have been disappearing." Wong began to explain, the door closing behind them.

"Our oracles haven't seen anything from the Dark dimension, but when asked to explain what they see, they start to go mad, and uttering nonsense, but draw these." he conjured up an image of a pentagram, one of the oldest symbols of evil on Earth.

"What does it mean?" the Sorcerer Supreme asked, feeling a chill down his spine as he thought the worse.

"We don't know, but one only words we can make out is simply 'Doom' and 'The Beast'..." Wong said, and a scratching of what appeared to be a humanoid in armor of some sort, wielding a firearm of some sort.

"Get me Stark..." Strange said, hoping that it wasn't Dormammu breaking the deal he set up after dying an innumeral amount of time.

[Dimensional Shift successful. The Fortress is now in stable orbit above Earth.] an AI said, giving a status update as the singular occupant of the station looked down at the peaceful planet below, blissfully ignorant of what would be unleashed from their dimension of fire and blood.

[Shall I examine the radio broadcasts to see if any demons have been identified?] Vega, the AI with the man asked, only to receive a kurt nod as he went to get ready in case this Earth was going to be consumed, only a singular mark on his helmet able to identify him.

He was, the Doom Slayer.

Authors Notes:

Thanks for reading this, and I hope you all enjoyed it, and that it was decent even though it was a short chapter.

Just for the record, this Will be taking place in the MCU, and is pre-Infinity War and Endgame so no need to cry about his death, at least for the moment.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have, and I'll try and answer them if it doesn't spoil events in the future.

Also, if you haven't played Doom: Eternal, I highly recommend trying it out because it is just plain old fun, and unlike most people it would seem, I like the Maurader as an enemy.

Hope you are all well, end enjoy the rest of your day.
