Ch. 13

Hermione woke up with Sirius still in bed with her. But still in his Grim Hound form. Which only made her feel that much safer. After splashing water in her face. She dressed into one of Virgo's handmade dresses. Which was a lilac sundress with silver edginess of key designs. Making her think back to the flying keys, during her first year at Hogwarts.

She found Lucy down in the living room. Wearing her own sundress. Dark blue with yellow looking star clusters. She noticed that they were the Zodiacs around her dress.

Lucy gasped at seeing Sirius in his dog form, next to Hermione. "Wow, he looks like a death Oman."

Hermione smiled softly, "Back where we're from. His form would be called that or the Grim."

Lucy nodded before wrapping her arm with Hermione. Dragging her out of the cottage. Leading them to the guild hall. Once inside, she saw Cobra at the bar, with Midnight next to him.

Hermione didn't know what to do. But Lucy seemed to have that under control. By leading them to the bar.

Lucy smiled wholeheartedly as she asked, "Can we get two of your breakfast sandwiches, Mira?"

Mira smiled in reply, "Right away, Lucy."

Hermione wiggled out of Lucy's hold. "Mira, can I make the drinks while you're cooking?"

Mira smiled with a surprise look on her face. "That would be great, Hermione." Then moved to the kitchen.

Hermione made her way behind the bar. Making drinks, one for Lucy, a strawberry milkshake. Hermione, a white chocolate peppermint mocha. As she looked at Cobra and Midnight with a thoughtful look.

"Go ahead, sweetheart. I can take anything you dish at me."

Hermione gave a grin. The kind that got most of the guild to run to the second level for their lives. Causing the Thunder God Tribe to yell at those that invaded them.

She served Midnight a gin and vodka drink. Light on the gin and heavy on the vodka. She glared at him when he just looked at it.

"I guess I'm getting my ass served." Midnight saluted her with his drink, before taking a deep drink.

Hermione made another drink like that, but also with lots of Nightshade and a hint of holy berry in his drink. When she gave it to him. He grabbed her wrist and licked her palm. One lick for tacking the poisons, the second to give her an antidote, and the third, because he enjoyed the reaction that she had gotten from him.

Hermione felt a shiver coming down her spine. Causing a wet sensation in her underwear. She pulled her hand away. Glaring at him. Just as she noticed his wicked grin.

She moved around the bar. Sat down next to Lucy. Only to notice that Midnight had finished his drink. Only for him to fall back from his stool and fall onto the ground. Knocking him out, cold.

"What did you do," asked Lucy with wonder in her voice.

"All I gave him was gin and vodka."

Cobra chuckled, "Yeah. He's a light weight." Before drinking his drink, purring as it came down his throat. "If I couldn't hold my alcohol or my poisons. I would say, you're trying to kill me, sweetheart."

"I thought you could take it," she replied dryly. Before she took a sip of her coffee mixed drink. "Too early for this…"

Mira then came out with the breakfast sandwiches and gave them to Lucy and Hermione. Before eyes focused on Cobra and Midnight. "What the Hell happened to them?"

"Hermione knocked them out with their drinks," stated Lucy. Showing through her eyes that Mira shouldn't worry too much about them.

The barmaid just shrugged her shoulders. Before walking around the guild hall. Leaving the two girls, who got up to take their food and drink somewhere else. Where they found a seat across from Gajeel.

"How long are you going to be mad at him," Gajeel asked Hermione.

She looked over her shoulder with sadness in her eyes. "I'm not mad, just sad. Sad that I may have never known him, Lucy or anyone. If you all hadn't stopped them." Tears left her eyes.

"Well, shit," grumbled Gajeel. "You're breaking my cold hard steel with those waterworks."

Lucy gave her a sad smile. "I know what we can do today. Since we had gotten our payment. We can finally go shopping."

Gajeel huffed and glared at Cobra. "I wish I was either in the dog house, or rope Snake Breath into coming."

The Grim Hound, who had been laying next to Hermione. Magically shift into his human form. Wrapping an arm around Hermione.

"You're going shopping, why don't you take Red with you?"

"Who," asked Hermione. Not understanding what he was saying.

Sirius rolled his eyes. Before pointing to her keys. Pointing to the red lily image.

After Hermione and Lucy had finished their food. They moved to the back of the guild. Where Hermione had used her new key.

"The red lily," she had called out. Only to see a young woman with flowing red hair and emerald green eyes.

"Hello, Hermione Granger, proctor to my son, Harry Potter."

"Lily Potter," gasped Hermione. "What do you do and want as an award?"

"I find lost things." She glanced over the bay to the distant mountains. "I know where to find James."

Lucy asked, "Who is James?"

"Her husband." Tears leaked out of Hermione's eyes. "Why can't I stop crying?!"

Lucy looked at Lily with sadness. "What happened that took you away from your husband?"

"James died, trying to protect our son and I, from an evil man. Only my love ended up protecting Harry from death." Lily allowed her tears to leave her eyes. Before wrapping her arms around Hermione in a hug. "As for an award, tell me stories about Harry."

"I will freely give, Lily."

The three young women left the guild. Leaving Gajeel behind, since they wanted a good shopping day.

Shop after shop, Hermione found clothes that she wouldn't mind wearing. They even went to the bookstore. Where she bought a couple of books that would read. Before sending them to Remus.

All in all, it was a good day to be out around town.
