Standing By
Lady Countryrose
Ch. 15
The next day, Hermione wore jeans, a green polo shirt and a jacket. Before grabbing her hand bag. Then left her room. She waited in the living room for ten minutes, when Lucy came down. Wearing a mini skirt and a matching tight top.
"Why do you wear that?"
Lucy glanced down and smiled. "It's cute."
Hermione closed her eyes, before walking out the door. Shaking her head.
"What's wrong with it," called out Lucy. Just she locked up the cottage.
"Just starting to see why you're kidnapped a lot." Hermione snapped her fingers, just as she heard a yelp.
"My skirt!"
Hermione ran towards the guild, giggling. When she heard Lucy was chasing after her. Once at the guild, Hermione ran over to Cobra, after seeing him. Jumped and sat in his lap.
"Hide me," she pleaded softly. Ducking down.
After a moment passed, Lucy came rushing in. "Where is she," she growled out.
Gajeel was there to intercept her. Wrapping his arms around her. "What's wrong Bunny Girl?"
"Look at me," Lucy growled. "She changed my clothes!"
"And they make you look mature. Not like a kid living off of their Daddy's money."
"What," gasped Lucy in surprise. "I did? But I didn't want that kind of look, if people thought that! Why hasn't anyone told me?"
"They were afraid of your Lucy Kick," supplied Gajeel with a kind smile.
"Is that why people kidnapped me all the time? Because I look like a Daddy's girl?"
"Sadly," Gajeel gave a worried look. "It was how I knew that we're Jude's daughter. Your outfits screamed it."
"Fine," Lucy grumbled. "I guess I can't harm her for helping me." She went over to Cobra and Hermione. Only to give them a big hug. "I am not angry anymore, Hermione."
"Why am I in this hug," grumbled Cobra.
"She's attached to you at the moment." When Cobra kept grumbling. "Oh hush it and take it like a man!"
Causing many within the guild to chuckle and laugh. "Yeah, take it like a man, man!" Making a ruckus of laughter, caused by Elfman.
Cobra nozled Hermione's check. Showing his affection for her. "No more hiding from me," he whispered to her ear.
Hermione pulled back, at least as much as she could. With a kind smile, "No more hiding," she agreed. Leaning back in to hug him close.
Once Lucy had left. Hermione found herself in the middle of another hug. This time, by someone with black and white hair.
"Macbeth," she asked in disbelief.
"Don't leave us," he whimpered. "I mean… Don't leave him," he pulled away and fell into a bar stool next to them.
Hermione pulled away from him. Looked into his purple eyes. Before looking towards Macbeth with worry. "I never realized you have a child to raise," her eyes shone with humor.
Cobra rolled his eyes, chuckled darkly. "Yes, I seemed to have forgotten. I believe with your loving guidance," he pulled her hand to kiss and kissed her. He then moved to wrap an arm around Midnight. "We may have him all grown up, for his future love."
Macbeth rolled his red eyes at Cobra. "Oh thanks father," he sassed at him. "... for giving me a mother. When shall I be looking forward to brothers and sisters?"
"Babies," screeched Mira with hearts in hers. "Wait," she glared at the two of them. "When's the wedding?"
Cobra calmly had gotten Hermione out of his lap. Just as Midnight had gotten onto his feet and ran away. Before Cobra was able to rush after him.
Hermione turned to Mira with a worried look. "No babies before marriage, Mira. That I can promise you."
"Good," before Mira had walked off. "Oh Lucy, when are you and Gajeel planning to marry?!"
"MIRA," cried Lucy.
"Get that Demon Woman away from me!"
Hermione Granger could not help it. But allow herself to laugh at the ruckus that had started.
'No, no babies. Not until marriage. If he wants me that bad, he has to put in the effort.'
At that moment, she heard his reply. 'Don't worry sweetheart. I'll make all the effort in the world to show that I'm worthy of your love.'
