- Mack is a character who is capable of many things, with balanced stats and options to fight at any range. However, where he truly excels is with his boosting Super Moves, which can expand and alter his moveset to push him into a more specialized and effective Zoner or Rushdown style for a time. While Mack has options to pose a threat to virtually any opponent, knowing what Super to go for in what situation is critical for utilizing him at his full potential.

- Difficulty: 2.5/5 (Modest)

Special Attacks

- Defender Blast: Mack aims his Drive Defender in Blaster Mode forward and fires in one of three ways, depending on button pressed.

- Light: Fires a single fast shot. Quick, but does less damage.

- Medium: Charges up and fires a larger shot. Balanced between damage and charge time.

- Heavy: Attaches his OO Zip Shooter to the Defender and fires a twin blast. Deals heavier damage, but requires more setup.

- Sentinel Wave: Variant as the Red Sentinel Ranger. Mack swipes with one of his swords, sending a curved wave of energy forward. Does similar damage to his medium Defender Blast.

- Defender Saber: Mack swings his Drive Defender in Sword Mode at an angle for a quick close-range slash.

- Sentinel Slash: Variant as the Red Sentinel Ranger. Mack slashes with one of his swords instead, doing more damage.

- Drive Lance: Mack swings his Drive Lance one of three ways, depending on buttom pressed.

- Light: Swings upward, launching the opponent into the air on a direct hit.

- Medium: Swings horizontally, pushing the opponent back from midrange.

- Heavy: Swings downward, ground-bouncing the opponent on a direct hit.

- Sentinel Swords: Variant as the Red Sentinel Ranger. Mack crosses his swords in front of him before slashing out, catching the opponent in a powerful cross-slash that knocks them back.

- Lance Kick: Mack plants the end of his Drive Lance in the ground and uses it to swing forward with a powerful kick. Can knock the opponent back significantly, but leaves him stumbling and vulnerable if it misses.

- Sentinel Kick: Variant as the Red Sentinel Ranger. Mack leaps forward and swings a powerful axe-kick down, ground-bouncing the opponent.

- Revline Time: Mack's Drive Lance ignites in flame and he charges forward with a high-speed slash. Good for crossing distance and can pass through the opponent if close enough.

- Sentinel Charge: Variant as the Red Sentinel Ranger. Mack leaps forward, crossing distance and slashing repeatedly with his blades.

Throws

- Forward: Mack drives a punch into the opponent's face and ducks down as they stumble, hooking his Drive Lance behind their legs and pulling to flip them back.

- Backward: Mack flips forward over the opponent's head, landing behind them and ramming his Drive Lance's handle into their back to knock them onto their face.

Super Moves

- Defender Vest: Mack summons a circular shield and places it on his chest, armor forming around it. For the next several seconds, Mack's defense increases and he can power through moves that would make him flinch or be knocked back. He also gains two new Special Attacks, but it comes at the cost of lower speed and less combo potential. Cannot use Red Sentinel Ranger in this state.

- Tri-Laser: Mack draws the Drill Blaster and fires a green triangular shot of energy. If it connects with the opponent, they will be trapped in a concrete statue until they are broken free by button mashing or being attacked.

- Spiral Shot: Mack draws the Drill Blaster and fires a glowing orange drillhead of energy. Fairly easy to avoid, but deals strong damage and pushes the opponent back.

- Red Sentinel Ranger: Mack draws the Sentinel Sword and holds it forward, combining with it into the Red Sentinel Ranger. For the next several seconds, his speed is boosted and he can chain hits for longer combos and thus better damage. He also gains access to a new Super Move, but it comes at the cost of lower defense and altered Special Moves that make him more predictable. Cannot use Defender Vest in this state.

- Sentinel Cyclone: Only available as the Red Sentinel Ranger. The front of Mack's armor opens to reveal Sentinel Knight's face, who breathes an energy cyclone across the screen. If it connects, it expands around the opponent into a towering vortex of power. Mack leaps up to its top, swords glowing brighter as he circles down it before slashing through the opponent, causing a powerful explosion behind him. Afterwards, he reverts to his base form.

Fatalities

- Sentinel Knight Fury: Mack draws the Sentinel Sword and transforms it into Sentinel Knight, who charges the opponent and slams a punch against their chest, and then another, and another. He continues, pace increasing until their chest begins to become deformed and blood pours from their mouth. Stepping back, his foot glows before he kicks up at an angle, striking their neck hard enough to send their head flipping from their body in a bloody spray. As the head falls, Mack impales it on his Drive Lance, propping it up beside him as Sentinel Knight turns and the two exchange high fives.

- Deadly Drilling: Mack summons his Defender Vest if he's not already wearing it before calling on the Drill Blaster and firing its Tri-Laser, coating the opponent in concrete. Spinning it around, he fires a Spiral Shot, the view slowing as it pushes against the opponent's chest and pierces through. The shell is blasted off of them and, in slow motion, the shockwave of the attack blows their body apart, pieces scattering in a rain of blood, flesh, and bone. Mack watches the opponent's remains for a moment if expecting them to explode, reaching up to scratch at his helmet when they don't and saying "Huh...that's odd."

Friendship

- Rangers' Day Off: Mack powers down and hears someone calling his name, turning to see Ronny waving at him. Grinning, he runs over to join her, Rose, Dax, Will, Tyzonn, and his father Andrew as they all sit around a picnic blanket stacked with food. Drawing the Sentinel Sword, he summons Sentinel Knight, who is offered a glass of lemonade by the Hartfords' butler Spencer. Sentinel Knight sips it before recoiling at the sour taste and spraying it out, the Rangers laughing in amusement and Sentinel Knight himself joining in a moment later.

Theme: Operation Overdrive Theme Instrumental

Opening: On another adventure with his father, the two were exploring a mysterious ancient temple when they were separated. Mack stumbled into a room with a mysterious portal swirling at its center and found himself caught by a gravitic effect, pulling him inside. When he came to, he didn't recognize his surroundings, but it took him only a moment to realize something was very wrong. He couldn't feel his heartbeart, and he soon found out his robotic body had been restored. Finding the Sentinel Sword waiting for him, he took it and the equally confused Sentinel Knight and set out to get to the bottom of this strange place.

Rival Cutscene

On the streets of an abandoned city, Mack walks down the pavement. Stopping, he heaves a tired breath.

Mack: It's times like this I wish I had Ronny's super speed.

Looking up at the tower off in the distance, Mack sighs in frustration.

Mack: Not that it would help when that thing keeps moving.

Reaching behind him, he draws out the Sentinel Sword, gazing at it for a moment before twisting the knob on its front, transforming it into Sentinel Knight.

Sentinel Knight: Something troubling you, Mack?

Mack: A lot's troubling me, Sentinel Knight. This place, how has it done all of this? It's like it's twisted reality itself.

Sentinel Knight: I agree. I have seen many impressive magics in my time, but this realm is beyond my ability to comprehend.

Mack: You sure this isn't something the Corona Aurora may have done?

Sentinel Knight: No. Not even it has the power to accomplish something of this scale.

Sentinel Knight leans his head, his eyes looking at something behind Mack.

Sentinel Knight: It seems we have company.

Glowing, he shifts back into a sword, Mack catching its handle and spinning to raise it up defensively. From behind a nearby building, a familiar figure steps out into view, calling out with a bright smile.

Penny: Salutations, Mack Hartford!

Mack: Penny... *sigh of relief* Thought it was going to be an attacker.

Mack cringes as he suddenly remembers what happened between them.

Mack: Uh, no hard feelings for when we last met, right?

Penny: None whatsoever.

Penny walks forward.

Penny: I have already determined that I was not myself in that instance. It stands to reason that the same probably applies to you.

Mack: Yeah...you're right.

Mack places the Sentinel Sword away as Penny moves past him, looking up at the tower. Mack follows her gaze, shaking his head.

Mack: What do you make of this place?

Penny: I'm still unsure. Space and time seem to bend to fit its twisted will. It's unlike anything I've seen back... *falters* ...back home.

Mack steps forward in concern, reaching out to place a hand on Penny's shoulder.

Mack: Hey...you okay?

Penny looks over and smiles.

Penny: I am fine. Just remembering...what it was like to be human.

She gestures at his hand on her.

Penny: The feeling of somebody comforting you, the warmth of a hug...

Mack: The feel of your heart beating in excitement?

Penny: Precisely! It was only a short time, but I miss it...it's so strange to be back in this body.

Mack: I know how you feel. I'm in the same boat myself. But at the end of the day, what I tell myself is this...it doesn't truly make that much difference whether we're human or not. That's not what defines us. At the end of the day, android or human, you're still Penny, aren't you?

Slowly, an uplifted smile forms on Penny's face.

Penny: And you're still Mack.

Mack: And we're both still the ones our friends love and care about. That's what REALLY makes us who we are.

After a moment, Penny quickly moves forward, wrapping her arms around Mack and hugging him tightly. He is surprised at first, but he shortly moves to hug her back. Even with his android body, he almost swore he felt his heart swell. At last, they move back.

Penny: You're right. Thank you, Mack.

Mack: Anytime, Penny.

Mack glances towards the tower and Penny takes a step back.

Penny: You know what has to happen, right?

Mack: I've noticed the pattern, yes.

Drawing his Overdrive Tracker, Mack raises it up.

Mack: Overdrive, accelerate!

Running it down his arm, a red grid of energy forms around his body as he morphs into the Red Overdrive Ranger.

Mack: Good thing we don't have to kill each other this time, huh?

Penny: Agreed. Without that, this might even prove fun.

Penny's backpack opens to release Floating Array, splitting into multiple swords behind her.

Penny: Shall we?

Mack summons his Drive Lance, the camera panning back as the two face each other readily.

*Fade to Black*

Ending: Mack defeated the Mastermind of Death Battle and reversed his technology, returning himself to human and sending everybody back to their own universes. Reuniting with his dad, the two headed home, eager for a break from adventuring. However, when they arrived, they were told by Spencer that a "strange fellow" had showed up while they were gone. Waiting inside was Dr. Stephen Strange, who explained to them about six gems that controlled aspects of the universe and the being known as Thanos who hunted them. Asking if they could assist in locating them first, the two exchanged glances before grins grew on their faces. It seemed one more adventure stood before them, and it was far too important to wait.
