Standing By

Lady Countryrose

Ch. 19

The next morning, found Hermione and Grace, unable to look at their men. They woke up feeling something poking at them. Causing an embracement of wetness in their underwear. They grabbed Lucy, before going off to a river to wash up.

After they returned, they broke camp and headed for Magnolia. Once back, they had gone to the guild. Where they heard that Riverstone was going to the council. Since Makarov had no say in what to do with those kinds of matters.

Laxus had reported that Riverstone had the worst night of his life. Calling out for forgiveness to the crying woman in his dreams. Calling her the Angel of Mercy. The Rune Knights had come and picked up, within a few minutes after they showed up.

All Riverstone did was cry, after seeing Grace again. Before he was led out of the guild. Never to darken their footsteps again.

Cobra had gone to the bar. After the rest found a table away from any others. Calling out to the barmaid. "Hey Demon Woman, grab your glitter book and follow me. We have plans to make with you."

Mira gave him a thoughtful look. Before grabbing a book, with glitter on its cover, and followed him. She sat down at one end of the table. "What's going on?"

Gajeel grumbled, "I want to marry Bunny Girl."

With Cobra speaking up. "I'm marrying my Avenging Angel."

"While I marry, Grace," declared Midnight.

Mira looked at each couple with a worried look. "At the same time?!"

"Dragon mates," Gajeel simply replied.

"That might be a good reason for you two." She pointed to Gajeel and Cobra. "But what about him?"

"Soulmates," answered Cobra in a huff. "It's the same as dragon mates for us. She is the only one keeping him from snapping. Preventing him from becoming a Nightmare, again."

Mira glared at the three men. "I'm not okay with the three-in-one wedding." She looked towards Lucy. "What does your heart say in this?"

"That it would be fun," Lucy smiled honestly. "I see Hermione as a sister, and Grace is her cousin. Don't families do things together?"

Mira smiled kindly at Lucy. Patting her hand. "As long as you're alright with this. Then we can make it work."

Later that night, Grace had gotten her own Fairy Tail mark. Along with a goal of a wedding within a month. Causing a guild wide party.

Three girls giggled at the uncomfortable looking guys. As many within the guild had slapped them on the back, in congratulations on tying their girl do and so on. When a slow song came on, Gajeel encouraged the others to dance with their girls.

This was where Hermione found herself in Cobra's arms, dancing. Which she found surprisingly that he was doing well. She looked towards Lucy and Gajeel, who looked like they were pros. But turning to Grace and Midnight, she had to giggle. Since Grace took charge, teaching Midnight, as they were dancing a slow moving waltz.

Cobra shrugged his shoulders. "We never had to practice any kinds of dancing."

Hermione smiled, "But you're doing well."

"Yeah," he agreed, turning her on the dance floor. "But unlike him, I can cheat. I'm reading Star Gazer. As her soul is showing me what I need to do."

Hermione giggled even more. Before looking at Midnight again. "He seems to be a quick learner."

"Had to, we mainly lived on the streets. Adapting and living is survival."

After a time of silence between the two, he leaned his head down. Where his lips were next to her ear. "No matter what life takes. I'll be standing by your side."

Hermione looked at him, echoing, "Standing by."

The two kissed. Not out of passion but out of belonging.

Cobra groaned, "Now that we kissed. I may have to rush the marriage. I don't think I can wait long." He kissed her temple before marching towards Mira.

Only to see him barking out demands. Only to see Mira change to one of her Demon Souls and raised Cobra off the floor. Scaring everyone that was watching.

Hermione rushed towards them with a smile. "Mirajane, how are there to be babies if you take him out?"

Mira sighed, but dropped him. Then she walked away.

Cobra looked at her with love in his eyes. "I'm lucky to have you."

The rest of the night was blissfully happy for the couples.
