Standing By
Lady Countryrose
Ch. 20
The next day, Cobra got what he wanted. Hermione did a quick work with her magic. She set the guild into a wedding venue. Where the three couples stood in front of the bar, with Makarov standing on top of it. Everyone else sat at the tables.
Makarov looked at each couple with a smile. "We are gathered here today in Fairy Tail fashion for not one, but three weddings. Does anyone have a reason for why any of these couples shouldn't marry?"
"Yeah, I kicked each of the guys' asses," stated Natsu, causing everyone to laugh.
"Not good enough, Natsu." Just as Makarov enlarged his arm and hit Natsu's head. "Now that there are no valid reasons, let's begin."
Makarov had taken a deep breath. "Do each groom take your bride to be your loving wife?"
"I do," the three men stated.
"Do each bride take your groom to be your loving husband?"
"I do," the three women answered.
"Then I, Makarov Dryer, the master of Fairy Tail. Lawfully appointed in Fiore, declare each of you, husband and wife. You may kiss… "
Just before he finished, each groom had kissed their bride.
"Let's get to drinking," yelled Cana. Just as she carried a barrel from the back.
Makarov rolled his eyes. He had gotten each of them to sign a marriage document. The guys had gotten together and due to Cobra and Midnight not having a last name. They had asked Gajeel if they could use his. He agreed for them to use it.
Gajeel and Lucy Redfox. Erik and Hermione Redfox. Macbeth and Grace Redfox. Making the couples into a big family.
As soon as the party started. The three couples had slipped away. Cobra dragged Hermione to a secluded spot, out in the woods. He had a tent made out near a stream, with a fluffy looking bed inside.
Hermione saw the look in his eyes had caused her to shiver. He managed to take their clothes off without ripping them and laid her down.
"Sorry, that this is going to hurt."
He tried to be gentle, he really did. But his inner dragon took over. Ramming his rod as slowly as he could into her inner warmth. He found a sense of Heaven. Worshiping her body, before sinking his teeth into her collarbone. Marking her to be forever his.
"Mine," he growled possessively. As his eyes flashed light purple. "Now you're protected from poisons."
Hermione smiled at him. Placing her right hand on his collarbone, before her hand glowed. Leaving behind a Celtic shaped rose.
"Now, you're mine," she smiled wholeheartedly.
"I'll wear this proudly."
The two spent the rest of the night in heated bliss. Enjoying the night with themselves.
As the month passed. They made it to Lucy's cottage, where they met with the other couples. Sitting around the dining table.
Lucy smiled, "Gajeel and I have been talking. We would like to sell our houses. So we can build three new ones. Next to one another."
Everyone was speechless but happy for the new idea. Since they liked to be close together. So the three families agreed.
The men got together and started planning on their new homes. Erik did all the drawings, after Macbeth used his magic to help with the visual diagrams. With Gajeel's input about measurements and where to improve on which areas.
The next day, Gajeel had sold his home. Then he bought a large plot of land to start working. Where the three started to outline the building and rooms with rope sticks. Then Gajeel went to work on making steel frames.
The girls would swing by and have lunch with the guys. The guys wouldn't tell their wives about the houses' layouts.
One day, as the guys were near finished with the work. When their wives came by, Gajeel and Cobra looked at each other with concerns on their faces.
"Is it me or did their scents change," asked Cobra.
Gajeel simply nodded, causing Midnight to huff. "It's great that I know about Dragon Slayers. But I am not catching on to what you're saying."
"They're pregnant and not that far from each other," stated Gajeel with wonder in his voice.
"Bbbb...babies," asked Midnight in disbelief. "I don't know how to be a Dad." Looking like he was on edge to a panic attack.
Cobra growled and slapped Midnight across the face. "I don't care if you have to put a happy illusion on. But you will not upset your mate or any of our wives. If you do, it will be more than just a slap and some words."
Midnight sighed, "So, we're doing this together?"
Gajeel grumbled, "Shit, we got married together. Might as well face parenthood together."
They stood at the fork of the walkway. Before the three nearly finished houses. Where their wives met with concerned looking husbands.
Lucy smiled warmly, "What's up with you guys today?"
"You three are pregnant," stated Gajeel.
The three women looked at each other. They looked shocked.
"We just found out," replied Hermione. Looking at Cobra with a worried look.
"Wendy was the one who told us," supplied Grace.
Cobra gently wrapped Hermione into his arms. Nuzzling her neck. "If I had a wish, I would want a little girl."
Hermione smiled into his chest. "I would like that too."
Gajeel looked at Lucy. "What are you hoping for, Bunny Girl?"
"A boy," she smiled. "There has been nothing but girls on my mother's side. I want to break that line."
Grace stayed where she stood. Since Midnight looked lost. So she had gone and set up the blankets for lunch.
"What are you doing," asked Midnight.
Grace had taken a deep breath. "I'm giving you space to process this." As she worked on setting the dishes. "I know you had a hard past, Macbeth. I'll give you time, but don't nine months with a baby in your arms, for you to decide."
At that moment, Midnight wrapped his arms around her. Where she felt him against her back. "No, I don't need the time. Just knowing that you'll be patient with me. It is all I want. I'll always be with you."
Grace cried hard, turning in his arms and hugged him back. Kissing the edge of his lips.
