"Inspector Diazo was the villain all along, right?"
The flashes from the reporters taking pictures and shoving the Titans in order to get their questions answered was almost too much for Robin to bear. He cast a sidelong glance at Raven, who caught his eye and nodded.
"Azarath metrion zinthos" With a swoosh, the entire team was swept away in a flash of black, reappearing outside in some random alleyway.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! There came the sound of two forces colliding harshly from nearby.
Upon hearing this noise, Robin cried," Titans, let's go!"
As they ran toward the sound, two shadowy figures dressed in tribal clothing and odd jewelry jumped down from a nearby building and said, "We can not allow interference in the shaman fight."
"Fight? Someone's going to get hurt. Out of the way, don't make me hurt you." Robin threatened.
"We warned you, now we will not hesitate to attack." The one with straighter hair cautioned. "Silver Horn" A bull-like contraption appeared on his leg as he aimed an overhead kick at Robin. Robin jumped back, whipping out his bo staff.
"Titans, attack!" Robin yelled. Starfire and Cyborg attacked the man's companion with a barrage of starbolts and cannon blasts, while Robin, Beastboy and Raven attacked the man. The man brought out silver snake, eagle, turtle, and coyote-like objects that seemed to help him with the fight.
Starfire and Cyborg attacked the other without stopping and the man's companion jumped back up to the roof of the building with Starfire in hot pursuit, while Cyborg resorted to taking the stairs. The man's eagle allowed him to fly, making Beastboy transform into an eagle while Raven summoned a disk of Shadow energy to carry Robin up.
The man lashed out with the snake. knocking Robin off his disk of shadow energy and into the side of a building where he slumped to the ground. Beastboy got his head bashed with the turtle shield. The sudden incapacitated state of her comrades made Raven mad at the figure and she summoned up a shadow claw and caught the man in it.
The man coughed and said, "So you can make an oversoul too, are you in the fight?"
The question caught Raven unaware and she dropped the man onto the ground. "What?" she asked.
"A fight that takes place every 500 years to determine the king of the world." the man replied.
"There is no king of this world" Raven replied coldly.
"You'll see" the man replied before flying off. Raven almost chased him, then remembered her injured comrades and flew down to help them.
