Ch 19 The Final Battle

Kovu and Miwa watched in awe as Reire and her jackals attacked Shenzi and her hyenas while Simba and his lionesses attacked Zira and her lionesses. By now Tojo had regained consciousness and he quickly scooped up the unconscious Kion and Kiara and put them in a safe place. By now Vitani and Nuka had arrived, both young lions curious to what was happening, "Zira you bitch!" Simba roared, hitting Zira hard in her face, sending the crazed lioness sprawling across the ground. "You're going to pay with blood for what you've done!"

"I look forward to killing you Simba," Zira snarled back. "This has been a long time coming." With that Zira let out a roar and charged towards Simba. Simba also let out a roar of fury and charge towards Zira. The two foes connected and the battle was on.

"What should we do Kovu?" Miwa whispered. "Do we just watch or should we help?"

"I...I don't know how much help we can be," Kovu whispered back. Just then Nuka approached his brother and cousin.

"You two need to stay back," the almost two year old lion said. "You two are only six and nine months old. You could get hurt or worse."

"Nuka is right," Tojo said. "The best thing you two can do is help Vitani keep Kion and Kiara safe."

"We're on it Uncle Tojo," Kovu said as he and Miwa joined Vitani, who was working on stopping the bleeding. Both the Prince and Princess had received numerous injuries to their body. The ones on their head and side were particularly concerning as they were the most severe. Kion's injuries were worse than Kiara's as some of his injuries from his previous attack still weren't fully healed. So Vitani was focusing on Kion/

"What can we do to help?" Miwa asked.

"You can hand me those," Vitani said, pointing to a stack of leaves and sticks. "And Kovu see if you can stop the bleeding in Kiara's side."

"We got it," Kovu said as he and Miwa grabbed the needed supplies.

Meanwhile Tojo and Nuka had joined the fight along with Vumbi. "Vumbi go help Simba's lionesses!" Tojo cried out. "Nuka you come with me!" We're going to stop my crazy ass sister once and for all!" With that the trio dispersed all of them hoping they'd be able to help. Tojo tackled Zira, who had just succeeded in knocking Simba out cold. "Zira stop this craziness!" Tojo said as he pinned his enraged sister to the ground.

"How dare you go against me?!" Zira roared as she kicked Tojo as hard as she could in her stomach. Tojo roared in pain as Zira's claws tore through.

"No!" Nuka cried out. "Leave him alone damn you!" With that Nuka let out a roar of fury and tackled Zira to the ground, taking the tan coated lioness by surprise.

"Nuka!" Zira snarled, shoving her oldest son off of her. "What the Hell do you think you're doing?!"

"Stopping you Mother!" Nuka growled. "I'm tired of your abuse! I'm tried of sitting back and doing nothing while you abuse my little brother and sister! I'm tried of being the scared, pathetic, weak lion you made me think I was my entire life! I'm done with all of that Mother! And I'm done with you!" As Nuka was yelling he delivered hit after hit to his mother's face. By now Simba had regained consciousness and Tojo ran over to his former friend.

"Simba are you alright?" Tojo asked as he helped the golden King to his feet. Simba gave the pale coated lion a look that was one of confusion, anger, and surprise. Just then Nuka let out a cry of pain. Simba and Tojo looked over and saw that Zira had delivered a hard hit to the young lion's head, sending him to the ground. Simba let out a snarl and tackled Zira once again and the two foes rolled on the ground biting and clawing. Tojo went to help Nuka but just then two lionesses from Zira's Pride tackled Tojo to the ground.

"You're going to pay dearly for betraying Zira," one of the lioness snarled, her face inches from Tojo's.

"Mhuni please you've got to listen to me," Tojo pleaded. But the other lioness hit Tojo hard in his face, drawing blood.

"We don't gotta listen to a damn thing you say traitor!" she growled as she hit Tojo once again.

"Mshiki please think of you son," Tojo tried again. "Do you really want Watoto to grow up in the Hell hole you did? I know I don't want that life for Miwa." Mshiki stopped and stared at Tojo, her light brown eyes wide as she took in his words.

"I...I don't want that for him," the light brown lioness said softly.

"Yeah like Simba is gonna let us stay in the Pride Lands," Mhuni growled, rolling her dark blue eyes. "Get real Mshiki."

"I know Simba," Tojo said, closing his eyes in pain. "And I know if you help him and his Pride take down Zira then he'll let you stay." These words caused Mshiki and Mhuni to look at each with wide eyes.

"He...he does have a point Mhuni," Mshiki said.

"Yeah," Mhuni said with a sigh. "I know he does." Then the dark gray lioness then turned towards Tojo and said, "Alright we'll help you."

"Thank you," Tojo said, wincing as another stab of pain went through him.

"C'mon we'll help you," Mhuni offered as she leaned down to help the pale coated lion to his feet.

"I'm good," Tojo declared, shaking his head. Just then he heard Simba let out a roar of pain. Tojo looked over and saw that Zira had delivered a hard hit to the golden King's side, splitting it wide opened. "Simba!" Tojo cried out, racing to help his friend with Mhuni and Mshiki right behind him. Tojo was about to leap on Zira when he heard another roar of pain. Looking over he saw that Shenzi had tackled Nala to the ground and had bitten into her side. But Vumbi was there and she grabbed Shenzi by her scruff and threw her off the creamy coated Queen. The other hyenas went to help their Alpha Female but Reire and her jackals quickly intercepted them. Tojo watched all of this with wide blue eyes. But while Tojo was distracted Janja snuck up and hit the pale coated lion hard in his side. Tojo roared in pain and fell to the ground, the blood flowing from his side.

"That's what ya get for bein' a traitor!" Janja snarled as he went in to kill Tojo. But Nuka came racing in and he tackled Janja to the ground. Tojo tried to get to his feet but the pain in his side made that impossible. So the pale lion was forced to watch to scene unfold in front of him

Meanwhile Simba was struggling with his battle with Zira. To his great surprise some lionesses from Zira's Pride had come to his aid. But the other lionesses from Zira's Pride tried to intercept them. But thankfully Tama and Sarabi were there and the two lionesses tackled them to the ground. "Its over Simba," Zira cackled as she once again hit Simba hard in his head.

"Its not over Zira," Simba panted, spitting out the blood that was dripping into his mouth. Simba tried to stand but Zira hit him hard in his head sending him to the ground once again. Despite his best effort Simba was unable to stand. The golden King closed his eyes and shook his head, desperately trying to clear his vision. Zira cackled and let out a roar of fury as she pinned Simba to the ground and raised her paw to slash his throat.
