Chapter 4: Fall Out

Over the next few days protests and war had continued in the streets of the United States. Trump had released the names and addresses of everyone that had voted Democrat during the 2024 election. The Proud Boys were given the order to round as many of them up as they could, and then put them into concentration camps. Several millions of Democrats and Progressives had managed to flee to other countries. Many people of color weren't considered a Republican even if they voted Republican during the 2024 election. In fact, several of them died in the streets as the Proud Boys' army went around picking them off like flies. It was a racist hay-day. Half of America was ready to become mostly white again. Eventually, Canada and Mexico decided to close off their borders and wouldn't allow anyone else to cross their borders.

The take over had reached the eyes and ears of everyone across the globe. The United Nations did not try to step in because Trump promised that if any other country tried to get involved, they would be considered the enemy.

Bill Newcomb had put out bounties for the heads of the major progressive candidates like Bernie Sanders, A.O.C., Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib. He knew that the only way to make a statement against socialism was to cut off the head.

Bernie Sanders had just turned 85 years old only a couple months ago. He was still a major component of the Political Revolution. Since the war had started, he and his family were hiding out in a secret bunker in Vermont. They weren't able to escape from out of the country because every redneck with a gun was looking for them at every terminal. Bill was willing to pay a million dollars to anyone that brought Bernie Sanders to him dead or alive.

Bernie felt that it wasn't fair to his family that they had to hide in a bunker because of him. So, he decided to turn himself over to Bill. Bernie asked that in exchange for turning himself in, his family would be given safe flight to another country. Bill agreed.

Bernie watched his family board a plane to England. FOX News was there to film the entire exchange. As the plane was taking off, suddenly the unthinkable happened when a rocket was launched towards the plane, then hitting it, causing the plane to explode in midair. Bernie fell to his knees crying after watching the plane explode knowing that his entire family was now dead. Bill ordered the Proud Boys to put a noose around Bernie's neck, and then pull him up from off the ground. The whole world was watching as Bernie shook and dangled there hanging until he had taken his last and final breath. This was Bill's warning to the rest of the world, just in case someone might consider intervening with the new National Republic of America.

This brought tears and outrage to millions of people from across the world. People were protesting in every country trying to convince their government to do something to try to stop the carnage. By hanging Bernie, Bill had now created a martyr. But, no other country's leaders wanted to intervene or put sanctions on America because they feared that a nuclear fallout could occur.

Although many of the Progressives had been decimated, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, "A.O.C.," had still managed to stay hidden from the right-wing mob. She was hiding out in the basement of a friend of hers named Kayla. Even though Kayla and A.O.C. were friends, Kayla had secretly voted Republican in the last election, therefore the new Government wasn't invading her home. Despite her conservative views, she would never want to see harm come to somebody that didn't deserve it. Many Republicans shared the same view as Kayla, but they lived in fear of expressing that view in public. Their silence was the same as being compliant.

A.O.C. managed to get a hold of the FBI Agent, Anthony Holmes. Anthony had worked for A.O.C.'s campaign in 2020 before he had become an FBI agent. She knew she could trust him. She told him about her plan to try to regain control of the United States. It would have to involve as many people as possible from within the country and abroad to find the compassion it would take to stand up for what is right and what is wrong. But, to Trump and Bill, they were doing the right thing, and many of their followers believed they were also doing the right thing. It was hard to convince anyone that wasn't already being held captive of who was right or who was wrong because so many of their political views were different from one another. One side wanted abortions to be illegal, lesser gun laws, lesser regulations, more bible studies taught in school, lesser immigration from south of the border, lesser welfare, and lesser taxes. And the compromise was over. Conservatives were in control.

As the homes of Democrats were being invaded and emptied out, Trump invited people from other countries, who might want to fight for the same cause as him, to live in the abandoned homes. Thousands of people from Russia, Germany, and England headed west to join the National Republic of America. This would make it even harder for any Progressive players to regain control.

Every day, Trump and Bill had public hangings of Democrats that had been captured.

Seeing that it would be nearly impossible to regain control of the United States, Anthony Holmes and A.O.C. decided that it would be best to figure out a way to free as many captured Democrats as possible, and then help them find safe passage into Canada or Mexico.

Anthony knew a few ex-military veterans that had access to several types of weapons, and who also had knowledge of how to fly Apache helicopters. Several thousand people were being held captive in three different concentration camps. Each camp had about one-hundred men standing guard. If Anthony was going to save as many prisoners as possible, he was going to need as much help from outside sources as he could get. But, he was about to get even more help than he could have ever imagined.

The United Nations found out about Anthony's plan to release the prisoners, and they wanted to help. Their plan was to send battleships as decoys to draw a lot of the Proud Boys away from the concentration camps. This would allow for less resistance during the rescue attempt. The plan worked. Because Bill and Trump thought that other countries were preparing for war, they also had to prepare as many soldiers as possible for war, which included taking more than half of the soldiers away from the concentration camps. This allowed Anthony's army to defeat the guards very easily, and help free the prisoners. Anthony was able to transfer prisoners in semi-trailers across the borders.

After Trump and Bill found out about the escape of the prisoners, they wanted revenge. They told the United Nations that they should have never gotten involved, and that there was going to be a price to pay for doing so. Trump and Bill announced that they would be firing off nuclear warheads towards every country that helped with the escape.

With that announcement, other countries from all over the globe also announced that they would return fire on the United States. In fact, knowing that the United States was filled with so many hateful people, the United Nations chose to fire first by firing off two nuclear warheads. The United States was able to blow them out of the sky while the warheads were in outer space. The United Nations threatened that they would fire off several more nuclear warheads if Trump and Bill refused to surrender. Bill was furious. He wanted to fire off every nuclear warhead that they had available. Trump wasn't so sure if that was the best idea because that meant millions of his supporters would die. Bill didn't care. To him, death was inevitable, and he wanted to take out as many socialist countries as possible.

Finally, Trump and Bill walked into the launch room, and then put in the launch codes. The United Nations went on red alert seeing that the coordinates had been put in, and then the United Nations decided to fire off more than twenty nuclear bombs. In order for Bill and Trump to fire off their own nuclear warheads, they would both have to turn the launch keys simultaneously at the same time.

Bill did the count down. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Fire!" He yelled as he turned the key.

But, nothing happened. Bill looked over at Trump. He noticed that Trump hadn't turned the key.

"What are you doing? We don't have much time left! I'm going to start the countdown again. This time, TURN THE DAMN KEY!" he demanded.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, FIRE!"

Once again nothing happened.

Bill took out his gun, and then pointed it at Trump. "What the Hell are you doing Donald!? You are either going to turn that key, or I am going to kill you myself!"

"I can't do it. I thought I could, but I was wrong. We did this to ourselves. We wanted to become the perfect country, but all we were able to become was the monsters of the world. I can't be remembered that way." Trump declared.

Bill walked up to Trump, put his gun to Trump's head, and then pulled the trigger.

BANG!

Trump's body fell to the floor dead. Bill told one of his other soldiers to take Trump's place. The soldier went up to the launch box.

Bill began the countdown again. "5, 4, 3-,"

Suddenly the soldier piped up. "Wait! The key isn't here!"

Bill looked at the launch box. "What!"

First Bill searched Trump's pockets, but he couldn't find it. Then he realized that Trump must have swallowed the key.

"Shit! Cut him open! Hurry up! There isn't much time left!"

The nuclear warheads were getting closer as the soldier started cutting Trump open. Finally after a couple minutes, the soldier pulled the key out of Trump's stomach. He quickly tried to get the key to the launch box, but it was too late.
