Disembarking from the galleon on the land of Tenochtitlan, Antonio is covered in metal armor, armor. His crew venture further inland as he finds Mia (Female Mexico) waiting for him against a tree, arms crossed, and a sour look splashed against her gentle visage. She wears a long two-tiered dress, swaying just above the ground as she walked closer. "Who said you could barge onto my lands?" Antonio approaches her at the same pace, "With a senorita as beautiful as you, how could I resist?" Mia observes the Spaniard's overbearing attire, something she hadn't seen before. A collection of spears and knives collide against his armor, tumbling to the ground around an annoyed Antonio. Mia shouts to her people, "Esperance!" Antonio's attention diverts to the language she speaks, enticed. She stops just in front of him, "Since you're so powerful, why not do some good for a change?" Antonio tilts his head slightly, holding out his hand with a slight bow. "Let's make a deal then."
Taking his hand gently, she comes closer to him. Antonio closed his grasp on her soft skin, placing his free hand on her waist. Pulling back, Antonio follows and pivots. The dance begins, filled with many twists and turns, amidst the labored discussion of politics. "The Aztecs had become rather powerful and hated by the other nations here…You can have their wealth as long as you offer my people protection. "Antonio pulls her hand up, causing her dress to spin in unison and end up close. Releasing her hand, he holds chin firmly, "The time I stay here must be compensated. This isn't a one-time deal carino." Mia's face grows angered, knowing her options are limited from the vast difference in warfare capabilities. "Help us settle down here and I will do my best to protect our people." Mia pulls away from him, "Let's see if you can keep your promise."
~Time passes~
One day, Antonio walked alongside the shoreline with Lovino. His attention on the land his people cultivated and protected. Despite the bloodshed and constant oppression of the natives, he held his head high. Watching Lovino run across the sand freely caused him to smile proudly. "You're turning into a strong boy…" he quietly uttered. Lovino traveled further away from the shore and appeared to grab something from behind the tree. Watching intently, he watches Romano keep his hands behind his back and walk back to the Spaniard. Kneeling on one knee, Antonio closes his eyes. Lovino stand on his toes, placing a handmade necklace around Antonio's neck. "D-don't make fun of it okay?" Opening his eyes, he looks down at the driftwood cross. Opening his arms, he hugs the small Italian. Gently ruffling his hair, Antonio picks him up and carries him place they held their meetings.
Growing bored, Lovino runs outside and along the nearby cornfields. In the distance he catches a glimpse of a green mass darting out from one of the rows. Chasing after a small green rabbit, he draws closer to the shore. On the shore bank, the bunny begins to float up into the air and onto the shoulders of a blonde man. Unable to stop in time, he runs into Arthurs legs. "Why the f—k are you just standing there, idiot?" As Lovino looks up, the British captain smiles coldly at him as he kneels, down to the child's height. Taking a step back, panic starts to increase his heartrate. "Quite a rude little fella."
Mia shouts to Lovino from afar "Get away from him!" Lovino turns to run as the British captain grabs him from the back of his shirt. Kicking and squirming in the air, Romano continues to fight as he is carried back to the skipper. Having heard Mia's screams, Antonio rushes out of the cornfield. Seeing the skipper near the shore, he searches frantically for his son. "Lovino?!" A faint voice screams out his name. Continuing to run in the direction of the distraught child, forgetting of his promise to Mia, shallow screams echo in the furthering distance.
