War and Light

A lot can happen within a few months and to summarise. The riders have just met Viggo Grimborn and his Hunters who've aligned themselves with Dagur the Deranged and Heather who aided the riders as a spy. Hybrid also managed to train a Skrill named Jupiter and has became a skilled rider.

A muscly man in black made his way to Berk and called for aid from the riders. The riders are flying from the Edge back to Berk to help deal with this issue. When they made it to the Great Hall they saw Stoick along side the man.

Hiccup said "How can we help?"

The man noticed Hybrid and was nervous as he said "I have a issue that I need help with to do with a certain dragon."

Hybrid then caught a whiff of a scent that was all to familiar, a scent of war. The man stood back as Hybrid said menacingly in ancient draconic "Dad."

Within a second the man was pinned to a pillar with a sword at his throat as Hybrid glared at him. The room was shocked that Hybrid just randomly attacked a man.

Hiccup yelled "Hybrid, what on earth are you doing!?"

"Okay, I understand your still incredibly pissed at me but I will bit the bullet because Ava is in danger and I need your help saving her." The man said.

Stoick said "Wait, hold on. Calm down Hybrid." Hybrid relaxed his blade a bit.

Hybrid softly demanded "Where is she?"

The man continued "Captured by dragon hunters and I know where but we need to go before they move her away."

"Let's move." Hybrid said and left the Great Hall. The other riders and the man followed and Hiccup gesture for the man to get on. The man mounted and they took off.

During the flight to save Ava, Hiccup attempted to introduce the man to his friends. Hiccup said "So, my name is Hiccup I'm the leader of the group."

"My name is Mitne Sventar, I am Hybrid's father and King of the Dark Citadel." Mitne Sventar replied "Sorry for then situation back at the Great Hall."

Hiccup said "It's Hybrid fault, he attacked you."

Mitne Sventar answered "Without context you would be right but with it you could not be more mistaken."

Hiccup asked curiously "Why did he attack you for then?"

"Well, I might've killed some important people in his life and had people who may be currently dead attempt to kill him." Mitne Sventar said with a bit of embarrassment and guilt in his voice.

Hiccup was shocked by that and said "Well, I did not expect that."

Mitne Sventar then saw the island and said "There it is."

Hybrid and Jupiter swooped down and after ten minutes he had defeated the dragon hunters. Unfortunately he couldn't see Ava and he yelled out "Ava!"

A weak feminine voice yelled out "Hybrid!" Hybrid then rushed over and the other riders flew to the source of the noise. When they got there Hybrid was looking and couldn't find her.

Mitne Sventar said "Hybrid, she may look a bit different but she's over there." And pointed to an injured dragoness that was white and had a gold-coloured pattern.

Hybrid walked up and said softly "Ava."

The dragoness smiled weakly. Hybrid then shouted out "We need to get her back to Berk now!" as he broke the cage's lock and got a net and carefully wrapped her in it. The riders got their dragons to pick Ava up carefully and the took her to Berk as fast as they could.

They landed in the square gentle as to not harm Ava. Hybrid was relieved that Gothi was thankful at the square and got wind of the situation. Ava was soon transported to the Arena for more privacy. The riders gathered at the Great Hall and Hybrid was restlessly pacing in worry. The riders were worried for Ava but also worried for Hybrid's sanity.

After three days Hybrid was very tired for that time period due to him not sleeping for three nights. Ava was recovering fast and her regeneration powers were finally kicking in. Stoick told Hybrid the news and he went from be tired to energetic which caused some minor chest pain.

The two made their way to Ava and Stoick was having trouble keeping up. When the two finally made it, Hybrid gave Ava a gentle hug as he while crying in relief. The rest of the group made it down and Mitne Sventar saw Hybrid's grand relief that Ava was okay and smiled to himself.

Ava said "Oh, I also need to tell you something so don't be mad please."

Hybrid replied "I'm just happy your okay and I'll always lend an ear."

Ava then said "I may have become a dragon goddess of light."

Hybrid answered "I hope you understand that process was irreversible."

Ava replied "I did but I did it for someone I like."

Hybrid was oblivious and it was plain as day that he was oblivious. Mitne Sventar facepalm himself and Hybrid was clueless. Hybrid asked Ava "What?".

Mitne Sventar muttered "You managed to overestimate a small armada and you're this freaking clueless."

Stoick said "What's happening."

"Ava hinted that she likes Hybrid and the most well planned being missed the mark." Mitne Sventar said then facepalmed.

Stoick was confused and said "But she's a dragon and he's half dragon."

Mitne Sventar replied bluntly "Other way round buddy but both are capable of shapeshifting."

Stoick was even more weirded out and Mitne Sventar had the look that said 'Welcome to my world'.

Ava then remembers something and said "Oh, you might need this to get back to full power." A flash of white light and a glowing red scale eradiating with violent energy.

"A Relic of Destruction how did you find it?" Hybrid asked as he took the scale with wide eyes.

Ava smirked while saying "Well, hard to miss an apocalyptic class cataclysmic weapon and I was sure they didn't need it."

Hybrid then began to absorb it and red energy burst out from him as his felt his body coming to life rapidly. He was back completely back and ready for what the multiverse had readied for him.

Ava said "Please don't kill your Dad." Hybrid reluctantly nodded then Ava asked "By the way, could you teach me how to fly and shapeshift."

Hybrid smirked as he got his wings out which shocked Stoick and the dragon riders. Hybrid said "Well, let's start in the morning because I really need a solo flight and actual rest." Then he took off and Mitne Sventar was happy that his son was back into the sky.

Ava was up early and found Hybrid hanging from a chain like a bat and Mitne Sventar who was confused on how he accomplished this feat. It was obvious that he didn't know how only that he could.

Hybrid asked "Alright, ready to get to shapeshift and flying? Also please ignore the fact that I can do this." Ava just nodded.

After a while Ava finally master shapeshift into her human-elf form and Mitne got caught learning how to shapeshift into his dragon form because he didn't take into account how massive his form was.

A little while longer she learnt how to fly and flew alongside Hybrid which got a smile from him. His chest heated up and his body was relaxing more than it has before. Mitne Sventar knew that Hybrid was becoming more vulnerable because he was attracted to Ava.

They got back to Berk via walking and the went to the Great Hall. They sat at a table and Snotlout attempted to make a move on Ava but Mitne Sventar intervened.

Snotlout said "What's wrong is she your daughter."

Mitne Sventar replied "Future daughter-in-law possibly." As both Hybrid and Ava are showing signs of attraction to each other but with Ava more openly.

Ava then gathered her courage to say "Hybrid, I… like you."

Hybrid was shocked and had less courage then Ava. He tried to say something but his body was working against him. It got Mitne Sventar to chuckle and Ava looked like she accidently broke him. Hybrid then barely got out "I like you too." With a bit of force and awkwardness. Mitne Sventar saw that he was screaming internally and gave him a thumbs up. Hybrid just glared at him with flaming daggers.

Ava was typically shocked that he had the same feelings Mitne Sventar then snuck and said "If you need more evidence his more vulnerable around you. He smells bad for everyone except you. He also had a mental breakdown because he has less courage than you."

Hybrid's glare was like a staring contest with a statue. Ava giggled a little which probably protected Mitne Sventar from being mauled to death. Mitne Sventar backed down before it got worse and let the two be for the night. Mitne Sventar met up with Stoick.

"How are you this fine afternoon?" Stoick asked Mitne.

Mitne Sventar replied "Think I might have found my future daughter-in-law and possibly future Queen of the Dark Citadel." Then glances to Hybrid and Ava.

Stoick looks at them "No wonder why he fancies her, she is a beauty."

Mitne Sventar says recalling a memory "A dragon prophet once said 'Your son will fall in love with a Angel of light.'"

Night began to fall and Ava and Hybrid went to the Arena. Ava turned into her dragon form so the rest was more pleasant Hybrid turned into his dragon form and cuddled up to Ava to keep her warm. Ava lightly smiled as she dozed off and Hybrid lied his head next to hers and heard "I love you." Come from Ava.

He replied "You too." As the cold began to batter him but he didn't care he wanted to protect Ava.
