Chapter 21

Charlotte's POV

It took around 45 minutes for us to reach the big park that was almost 35 miles outside of town. The car ride wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be, we talked about what he did during his time in France and also what he did to the flight attendant on his way back. From his experience, he said that having sex in the back of a plane is tight and uncomfortable, but he said the guy had a big package so it made up.

It wasn't that big of a surprise coming from Bruce. He has plenty of sexual partners gay guys, 'straight' guys, his favorite type is the quiet guys who don't talk. He says they hide their passions and he wants to find them.

Right now we were walking slowly around the park trying to find a place to sit. But when we found a bench I was glad to sit down. My sore legs were cramped but I didn't complain I was glad to be here today.

"So I know this is probably kinda overwhelming, cause I'm surprised that my sister is like my best friend. I thought I would have to meet someone new and get to know their personality that would have been difficult."

"Yeah, I know what you mean. But we skipped a step like getting to know each other because we already do."

"My aunt and mom were so proud to find you they told me after you were adopted, they lost track of you for 16 years. And then when my aunt told my mom the night you were in the hospital she cried so hard."

"Awww that makes me so sad. Did she know why I was in the hospital?"

"Not exactly she doesn't know everything I wasn't comfortable telling her. Because that's for you to tell, but yeah."

"Thank you, Brucie. I just hope she's not disappointed in me because what if she was ashamed of what I let him do to me?" I asked looking at the small flowing water fountain. Bruce turned fully facing me he grabbed my hands and placed them in his lap.

"Hey sweetie, my mom well our mom isn't going to have any type of view of you. She doesn't judge anyone, you know that Charlotte. She was the one hoping you didn't view her as a bad mother." He said with a small smile.

"Of course she's not a bad mom because she had me up for adoption I can understand why she did that."

"Yes exactly. I can't tell you the full story of what happened because that's for her to tell." Bruce said as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders hugging me.

"I get it."

"Hey, I'm hungry what do you want to eat?"

"Umm, I'm not sure. Do you know if a Waffle House is here?" Bruce looked at me and smirked.

"Yes, the hell I do girl. C'mon, let's go." He said excitedly standing up, he reached out his hand for me to take helping me stand up.

"Thank you, Bruce. Let's eat." I said smiling at him as we walked back the way we came, our arms linked together.

"No problem."

No one's POV

Jasper paced around his uncle's expensive living room, he was trying to figure out another way to get under Charlotte's skin to make her come back to him sooner.

"If I killed her parents when they come back, Nah that's too extra they don't even care about her so it would seriously affect her."

He was stopped mid-way in thought when his phone rang. He was instantly pissed off, who and why is someone fucking calling him? When he saw who was calling his annoyance turned into excitement. He quickly answered it.

"Yo. Jasper, I have eyes on your girl." Jasper grinned softly, the thoughts of what he was going to do to her made him excited.

"Really? Where and who is she?"

"She in Owensville at Waffle House about 40 miles out of the city. I'm not sure who she with, I was told she is with a guy that looks like her brother I have no idea."

"Wait how do you know where she's at?" Jasper asks now questioning the trust of his buddy.

"My girlfriend Wendy works there. And she told me that she saw Charlotte, so I asked her to send a picture of them." He felt pride as his friend told him what had happened.

"Aye thanks Paul, good work"

"No problem chief," Paul said before he hung up. Jasper has a plan now he was going to get her back.

Charlotte's POV

I and Bruce were eating Waffle House and the lady that gave us our food was looking at us weirdly. I'm hoping that white lady didn't spit in our food, her name was Wendy she had red hair and fair skin. I was trying to see if I recognized her but nothing came up.

Bruce leaned across the table to whisper in my ear,

"I don't like the way she's looking at us. Girl, she looks like she got a stick up her ass." I let out a loud laugh,

"Shut the fuck up Bruce. But you're right!" I agreed with him. He abruptly stood up from the booth and put a 20 dollar bill in the check slip.

"C'mon let's go before some shit goes down." He muttered lowly as he stuffed his wallet back in his pocket. We left the restaurant before anything else happened. We were calmly walking to his car when I heard someone's voice I have nightmares of, Bruce quickly pulled me behind a tree.

He glanced behind it, three people were talking on was the lady that served us Jasper was there talking to a guy I've never seen before. Fear trickled down my spine, I didn't like this not at all.

"How did he find me?" I asked my voice shaking, I did everything right. I made sure that we went far away from him, I didn't tell anyone where I was going.

"I don't know. Maybe it was that Wendy chick telling someone that you were here. Let's go before he sees you." We rushed off to his car and quickly got in, and he started the car and drove off. I look in the rearview mirror as the group disappeared as we drove away. Tears filled my eyes as I looked out the window,

"God, why me? What did I do wrong to deserve this?" Bruce glanced at me and placed a hand on my shoulder. I turn to look at him.

"Honey you did nothing wrong, it's not you. He is going to be the one to hurt when all this is over. I promise." He squeezed my shoulder lightly, I nodded my head in understanding.

"Thank you, Bruce," I muttered as I wiped my tears.

"No problem Claire."
