To Heather or not to Heather

It has been three weeks sense Mitne Sventar, and Ava had joined the Dragon riders. Hybrid and Ava have been dating on several private adventures and the group found out which was just a huge mess that took a day or two to clean up. Hybrid learnt he can be affected by Dragon Root, and he did not have a fun time. Viggo had attempted to use Mitne Sventar as a hostage which Hybrid just proved wouldn't work by dropping a boulder on him without warning and it didn't kill him.

Hybrid and Ava just exited Dragon Ridge to see the Thorsten Twins along with Snotlout and Fishlegs who was panicking chasing a Terrible Terror. The left to see Hiccup and Astrid who were frankly as confused as them and out of nowhere Mitne Sventar just pounced on the poor Terror. Fishlegs then grabs the paper on the things leg and bolted for his hut. Mitne Sventar was then terribly confused when the other three chased Fishlegs.

The four walked up and Ava asked, "You have an idea on what's happening?"

The Terror said, "I was delivering mail for Fishlegs when those Boozes started chasing me. It was probably really sensitive sense he always read it in his hut."

Hybrid asked, "Do you know the who the sender is?"

The Terror said, "First of all, I can't read human. Second, not allowed to read letters."

Hybrid asks, "Then any details of the sender sense you should have seen them?"

"She has black hair, eyes as green as Hiccup's, a slim build and has a Razorwhip." The Terror answered.

Hybrid then said, "Thanks, that's all I needed to hear."

Hiccup then asked, "What did he say?"

Hybrid just signal them to follow and the five headed to Fishlegs hut. The Thorstens and Snotlout are fighting over the chest that Hybrid thinks holds the letters. Hybrid then puts a stop to the fight by grabbing some rope and tying up the offenders.

Fishlegs said, "Thanks Hybrid."

Hybrid replies "Of course, so when are you going to ask her over to the Edge?" Fishlegs was beginning to sweat and think how to save himself, but Hybrid wasn't one to accuse unless he was certain it was true.

Fishlegs then finally broke due to Hybrid's mental force and said, "Okay, you got me I was talking to Heather." Which shocked everyone but Hybrid who was smirking, Ava and Mitne Sventar who were both confused.

Ava then asks, "Who's Heather?"

Hybrid replies "Heather is Dagur's brother who joined the Hunters and was apparently our spy and was caught by Viggo and now escaped."

Astrid said, "Well, that was a good summary of the entire ordeal."

Snotlout's pride was a bit hurt, so he said, "Yeah, me and Heather have a special connection."

Mitne Sventar said, "Yeah, pressing x to freaking doubt that."

Hybrid commented, "And Mitne Sventar the first one to call BS on that crap."

Hiccup said, "Well, you should ask her to come over."

Fishlegs replied, "Will do."

In late morning of the day after Heather comes into view and Fishlegs tells Astrid, Hiccup, Hybrid, Ava and Mitne Sventar to come to the stables. As soon as the group arrives at the stables Heather and her dragon landed on the pad before the stables.

"Good to see you guys again." Heather said in a happy tone.

Hybrid replied, "Always a pleasure to see you, Heather."

Mitne Sventar said, "Honour to meet you in person."

Ava said, "Hey."

"So, some introductions would be good." Heather said.

Hybrid then replied, "This is Mitne Sventar my father and Ava my girlfriend." Ava blushed a bit while pushing an annoying strain of hair into a non-annoying place.

After Fishlegs and Heather left to walk around the edge. Hybrid and Ava gets down to look for clues and learnt that the two mysterious things were at both poles. The next spot that was on the agender was searching the Hatchery. They decided to walk to the stables and spot Windshear being aggressive to a random gronckle and Hybrid walked up to the female Razorwhip.

"Hey, you alright?" Hybrid asks in a soft tone then dodges a slash from the Razorwhip. Hybrid recovering from the shock yelled "You could have just said no!"

The group rushed to Hybrid's aid, and they saw Windshear attempting to harm Hybrid who is dodging every attack. Heather then said "Windshear, what are you doing girl?"

Windshear then said, "I want to protect you and I don't trust them."

Hybrid said, "We're not going to harm her just stop blasting me or I'll use my paralysis venom on you."

Windshear taunted, "You really think that would work against me."

Hybrid said quite annoyed, "People keep saying that and the paralysis still works."

Hybrid then rolls behind a boulder and Windshear slices through it and blast Hybrid through the sliced rock. Hybrid attempts to regain balance but unfortunately falls over a cliff to which he comments, "This is going to hurt, badly.". Then he smashes into the water and impaled through the top left part chest and through the left shoulder blade.

Hybrid then climbs the cliff with one hand while he bled from the wound. Everyone was shocked except Mitne Sventar and Ava.

Heather asked in shock, "How did you survive that?"

Hybrid replied, "I had worst." Then proceeded to rip the sharp rock out and the wound began to glow and heal. Hybrid then commented, "That does hurt though."

Ava said, "I remember you getting bombarded by shells."

Mitne Sventar then added, "HEAP rounds not to forget."

Ava the asked "What's a heap round."

Hybrid replied, "High-explosive armour-piercing or HEAP. It's like high-explosive anti-tank rounds or HEAT rounds for short, but more for space or naval craft." (AC: The HEAP round does sort of exist, but it's called a HEIAP it stands for High-explosive incendiary/armour-piercing.)

Hiccup then said, "Okay, that is new for us."

Hybrid then said apologetically, "Sorry if I traumatized you for a bit or probably for life." Then asked looking at Windshear "Are we done blasting the harbinger of destruction?"

Which got looks from everyone expect his father and GF. Windshear shot her blast in response and Hybrid reacted by putting his hand at the blast and catching it. Hybrid then tossed the now fireball of into the distance and this got attention from the group excluding Mitne Sventar and Ava but included Windshear.

Astrid was barely able to speak from both shock and fear. She asked with a massive stutter "H… H… How d… did… you d… do that?"

Hybrid said, "I'm the God of Destruction, I am 5,876 years old and I'm apart of species of dragon known as the Avarkile a powerful, magical and advanced species. But I much prefer to not be in my dragon form at this moment."

Fishlegs said in confusion, "You can turn into a dragon."

Hybrid said, "Well, more of turn back into a dragon."

Hiccup then responded, "You were a dragon."

Hybrid replied, "Well, I'm actually still a dragon just not in the physical form of a dragon."

Toothless said, "This is hurting my head." Hybrid walked over and stroked him on the head.

Windshear yelled, "How are you a dragon Human."

Hybrid then yelled back, "I'm a shapeshifting dragon what else can I do to make more sense." Then sharply exhales smoke in annoyance.

Mitne Sventar said, "I suppose this is the end of the unexpected fight and truth reveal."

Hybrid said very menacingly, "I will throw you over the cliff."

Mitne Sventar replied, "Fair enough."

They meet up in the club house and Hybrid was working on new armour for Toothless that could be incredibly useful in a dogfight without sacrificing his agility and without have to find the material that is both flexible and durable. Heather had cooked for everyone, and they were enjoying it except Hybrid who was too focused on the new armour.

Ava moved closer to him and asks, "What are you working on?"

Hybrid replied, "Well, the new armour for Toothless but I can't find a way to protect the joints, tail and wings due to Gronckle Iron being notorious for not being a bit forgiving and making it harder to be agile. However, if I could find aluminium micro-fibre or sometime kind of light metallic micro-fibre I could make the armour light, durable and agile."

Ava said, "Didn't you use your regeneration to harvest you own scales, bone and leather to improve armour."

"That'll be very weird, traumatising and difficult thing to explain." Hybrid just said both as quietly and plainly as to both do not worry the rest of the riders and convey that it is not a good idea.

Heather asked, "So, what are you planning on?"

Hybrid then explained, "I'm working on Toothless new armour but one of the three things I need probably doesn't exist currently."

Hiccup said, "So, lets focus on the things you can get?"

Hybrid nodded then said, "First we need Bamboo which given enough time could be turned into a jumpsuit that will allow proper airflow, next will be the easiest thing and it is wool to allow for warmth and protect against the cold."

Astrid then asked, "And what is the probably not possible thing."

Hybrid said, "A light metallic micro-fibre for flexible armour."

Mitne Sventar then says, "Coincidently, the uuh… ship that me and Ava used to get here, contains it in the joints of the mechanism."

Hybrid blank faced Mitne Sventar and asks, "Where is the ship now?"

"On an island containing a dragon worshiping cult in black clothing that also has a very much active volcano." Mitne Sventar said.

Ava then said, "I'm not gonna lie that was funny seeing them attempt to tranquilize you while you ran like cartoon."

Mitne Sventar then replied, "I will neither confirm that nor deny it from ever happening." While being crossed armed and looking up with embarrassment.

Hybrid chuckled with a smirk that wished to have seen it. A night terror came in saying "Deadly Nadder Migration incoming." Then proceeded to leave.

Hybrid got up and said, "Alright, Deadly Nadder Migration time. So, Snotlout you're with the Twins to keep them moving forward and to track of them. Hiccup, Astrid and Mitne Sventar you three control the right. Fishlegs, Heather, Ava and I will control the left."

The team then mounted their dragons and prepared to take off, but Windshear was very unco-operative. Hybrid sees this and remembers that the two have been almost lone wolves for a long time. Hybrid then says "I know you don't like working with other dragons you've been a lone wolf for a long time as have I. But sometimes you have to work with others, and it may actually be relieving to not one be in an area you can relax but a place where you can trust others with her safety."

Windshear replied, "Fine, but you promise to protect her."

Hybrid said, "Promise to protect her until peace has been made once more." Then a red light flashed as it revealed a tattoo in the shape chained dragon.

Hiccup asked, "How did that tattoo get there?"

Mitne Sventar replies, "It's a promise rune meaning he has promised something and must foresee that it happens. Sense he promised to protect Heather he must make sure that she is safe."

"Got it, anyway, let's go." Hiccup said.

They went to the migration and Hybrid was forced by the rune to stick close to Heather meaning that his abilities were a bit more restricted. Hybrid was bit irritated that he was restrained till peace was made thankfully he didn't make it specific so making peace with any other faction would relieve the promise. Hunters attempted to take down the riders unfortunately Hybrid had to take the hit otherwise the promise breaks and that was a whole ideal that he could live without.

They were back at the Club House and Hybrid was a bit droopy and would be for another hour but still better than the broken promise thing. He did receive an earful by Astrid after that Mitne Sventar told Astrid that Hybrid probably didn't want to deal with the broken promise policy as that lasts at least thirty and at most a hundred and twenty.
