Rise of the Dreadnought

Hiccup and Toothless was flying to the Defenders of the Wing Island to oversee the transport of the Raven for the biggest expedition they have ever thought of. Suddenly a dragon root arrow strikes Toothless's tail, and he starts to fall and hit the cold sea. Hiccup feels his shoulder get jerked back as he is pulled from the water and on to the steel deck of a newly repaired warship with Toothless locked in a cage and a man with black armoured clothing.

The man said, "I think we have yet to meet Hiccup Haddock the Third, but you've seen my decoy of a ship."

Hiccup demanded, "Who are you and who do you work for?"

"I am Silva Blacklake, general of what remains of Delta One fleet." Silva replied then said, "I hope I've cleared a few things up now you'll be sent away without the Night Fury."

Hiccup then gets tossed on a boat and it is motors away from the ship.

Hiccup reawakens in a room with Stoick at his side and the rest of the riders.

Hiccup then asks weakly, "What happened?"

Mitne Sventar replied, "Well, you went missing and Hybrid found you after three days."

Hybrid add, "And you were luck as well. All unconscious and dehydrated could easily died if I hadn't had an emergency kit on me. Unfortunately, you out for a few days so after I give you 'bout a day's rest I will need to get some information to figure out what happened alright."

Hiccup replied weakly, "Alright, but we need to find Toothless."

Stoick said, "I have a few ships looking for Toothless and Hybrid will start looking as soon as his able to."

Hybrid replied, "Don't get yourself worked up too badly. Now, rest you'll need it."

Late in the night a rift opens, and a man covered from head to toe in black with a broken gas mask with a painted-on skull. A rifle on his back with purple with white in it. Hiccup was shifting back trying to escape.

The man then said, "I'm not your enemy. I am your friend and I know where your Night Fury friend is."

Hiccup replied, "Who and what are you?"

"I go by Black Death, and I am a former Human but my time in the Drift had striped that away from me." Black Death answered.

Hiccup was displaying both terror and confusion, he then asks, "Where is Toothless?"

Black Death answers again, "He is at minor base shared between Delta One and the Hunters at a crash site first island you'll see ahead of you due East Southeast."

Hiccup replied, "Thanks."

Black Death says, "You should probably ask Jupiter he has a characteristic that is a bit rebellious, and he would help you." He then places his hand on Hiccup's should and Hiccup felt a lot better then got teleport to the stables.

Jupiter see's Hiccup and looks at him with concern and curiosity.

Hiccup answers quietly, "A strange man and he told me were to find Toothless."

Jupiter then moans in understanding and quietly growls and let's Hiccup mount and takes off.

Hiccup and Jupiter make it to the island and Silva's men along with Dragon Hunters are uncovering a strange object.

A Guard says, "I'm glad the is no storm otherwise, I would've been pissing myself scared."

A Dragon Hunter asks, "Why are you scared of a storm."

The Guard replied, "That thing is one lightning strike away from waking up."

Hiccup then said to Jupiter, "I have an idea."

Hiccup then finds Toothless and sneaks over to him but is stopped by Silva and Ryker.

Silva says, "I have to say Hiccup, I'm impressed. You must have nine lives."

Hiccup replies, "Why thank you but I have other plans." Then shouts, "Jupiter. Now!"

Jupiter then strikes the object as hard as he could. The object shifted slightly but showed no results except for an almost completely obstructed light flashing. Guards were spooked but relaxed and laughed at the object and Hiccup's plan failing.

Silva said while laughing, "You got me Hiccup I thought you woke the damn thing for a second. Unfortunately, that Night Fury of yours will perish in about a week possibly by my hand, and just so you know I will enjoy it."

Jupiter is avoiding being shot down and sees a Hunter getting closer and closer to the object until. The Hunter's Chest explodes violently as the object rises.

The object states loudly, "I am filled with Vengeance, I am the harbinger of Death, I am the Blade of the Dark Citadel, I am Eternal, I am a Dreadnought." The Dreadnought continues, "The enemies of the Dark Citadel will perish, and their fires extinguished. General Silva you have betrayed the Dark Citadel and now a prime target of the Dark Citadel. The Dark King shall be notified immediately."

The Dreadnought's right arm extends, and an attachment starts to spin and then all Hiccup could hear was *BRRRRR* as the weapon unload hundreds of shots and blood splatter everywhere. Then it's left arm extended and he hears is what seems to be a screech from a Night Fury, but it followed by a massive explosion as three Hunters turn to red mist.

The Dreadnought continues to move forward without fatigue as arrow and bullets ricochet off it's armour and a blade extends from it's left arm and it strike the ground sending people flying backwards. On the right arm a small flame is lit at the middle of the weapon attached then with a jerk forward fire spat out burn everything it could touch.

Spikes came out of it's back and shoots off chasing both the Dragon Hunters and Delta One killing their targets. A Hunter attempted to swing and axe at it to which the Dreadnought grasped the axe and the Hunter's head. It then continued to clamp down on the Hunter's head causing it to explode from the pressure.

Silva yelled out, "Retreat." Then looks to Hiccup and shouts, "You've killed us all."

Then a red scaled fist connected with Silva's face as the scaled figure spins around and jams a rod straight into Silva's chest causing him to cough out blood and the scaled man stuck a strange object to the rod. They then grabbed Hiccup and covers him as an explosion goes off and the figure uncovers Hiccup and now, he could see the figures face. It was Hybrid's very unimpressed face; Hiccup could tell he wasn't mad just disappointed.

Hybrid then said as he dodges a disembodied head, "Dude you should have rested or at least told someone where you found Toothless so they could deal with it while you rested."

Hiccup replies, "I wanted Toothless back and safe."

Hybrid answered, "I know I was looking for him for the past three days and racked up half the number of bodies in three days as you did in a minute."

Hiccup then replied quickly, "It was not intended."

Hybrid comes back with, "Good intentions never intend on death but sometimes you just have to minimalize the casualties or learn more on the death machine you just awoke. Just tip."

The riders come into view and most of them are mortified, and Ava is slightly shivering from the Dreadnought's rampage. Jupiter lands beside Hybrid and a minority of the Hunters and Delta One escaped.

Mitne Sventar then commanded, "Halt Dreadnought, you've drawn them back enough. We have new allies and I have joined my son's side."

The Dreadnought cease fire and replies, "Information has been updated. Report: Silva had captured a Night Fury and planned on executing it and is now an enemy of the Dark Citadel including his fleet Delta One."

Mitne Sventar then said taken back, "I never thought he would go as far as to kill one."

Heather replied, "He joined the hunters you should have expected this."

Hybrid said with sincerity, "I'm sorry but he wasn't a great person at all. He attempted to destroy a Night Fury sanctuary and killed a majority of the witness."

Mitne Sventar replied, "Then I will crush him into nothing but a red paste."

Hiccup said, "Hybrid unfortunately killed him."

Hybrid looked to where Silva's corpse was, and it was gone without a trace. He then says, "Damn it, his gone."

Hiccup was shocked that Silva had indeed vanished but the rod that had speared Silva was still there untouched.

The Dreadnought then asks, "Returning to an allied area for resting and recharge is recommended."

Hiccup then said, "Gang lets head back to the Edge."

Mitne Sventar then shapeshifts and grabs the Dreadnought and surprises the gang except Ava, Hybrid and surprisingly Snotlout.

Snotlout replies, "Why is everyone so surprised Hybrid is a shapeshifting dragon, Ava is also a shapeshifting dragon. You should've really expected Mitne Sventar to be able shapeshift."

Hybrid says, "I hope you do realise that Snotlout does have a solid point there. Not to mention he is my Dad."

Hybrid the frees Toothless and headed back to the Edge with the riders and dragons mostly unscathed and probably very traumatised.

Stoick waited anxiously as Hiccup had disappeared last night and sees the riders with Toothless and two extra dragons with one carrying a strange object. The object is placed down and then a purple flash, envelopes the black dragon and Mitne Sventar takes its place. The red dragon flashes red as Hybrid takes its place and lands with a somersault. Ava then lands gracefully as always and shapeshifts.

Hybrid then says, "Dreadnought begin patrol around the perimeter I send you mental images of the enemies to keep an eye out for."

The Dreadnought replies, "Patrol route designated. Targets Identified. Allies Identified."

Ava is noticeably scared of the Dreadnought and is attempting to hide behind Hybrid. Hybrid notices and said while caressing her hair, "It's alright I wouldn't let it hurt you and I am gravely sorry for failing to protect you from one."

The Dreadnought leaves as soon as it was told completely unaware of Ava's deathly fear of it. It then gets a telepathic message from Mitne Sventar saying, 'When seeing Ava be wary and be nice and gentle when encountering her. She is still very afraid due to an incident with a Legionary Dreadnought. Protect my son's future mate from dangerous threats that is your permanent secondary objective.'

The Dreadnought replies, "Secondary objective; improve relations and protect Ava. Time till objective ends; Indefinite."

The Dreadnought presumes its patrol route as night begins to fall with it's permanent objective in mind.
