This Chapter is just a little trial by fire to test my ability to write character development or something like that.

I may forget to upload new parts, or they may take longer than anticipated.

Hybrid's Birthday

Ava had an irritating question that she couldn't answer along with another question that wouldn't work without the other. She then found Mitne Sventar at the stables knowing he would know the answer.

Mitne Sventar then notice Ava and asks, "What can I do for you?"

Ava then asks, "When is Hybrid's Birthday?"

Mitne Sventar replies after some thought, "Two days away." Then wide eyes in realisation, "It's two days away."

Ava said, "You almost forgot your own son's birthday."

Mitne Sventar the corrected, "Nope, I totally forgot, and I know that doesn't make it better."

Ava then asked, "What's his favourite flavour of cake?"

Mitne Sventar answered, "It's either caramel or red velvet."

"Got it." Ava replied then asks, "Know how to bake a cake?"

Mitne Sventar asked, "Wouldn't Hybrid have a recipe book for that?"

Ava said, "I start look for one."

After some looking around the bookshelf Ava found a Desert Cookbook with a cake on the front. She looked through the book and found the caramel cake recipe and began making it. While looking for the ingredients she sees a caramel cake mixture bag and takes it and finds out there is quite a few bags of the mixture of dry ingredients.

When she grabbed everything, she began her attempt grabbing two eggs, 150ml of water and 65ml of oil. Ava then finished the mixture and poured it into a cake pan and placed in the oven which had been pre-heating at 150 degrees.

Ava then set a timer for when it's done and went to find Hybrid. After some looking around found a large structure and entered it. She then sees Hybrid with a helmet on and a bright light blazing in front of him. He was also on a metal skeleton of what would transport the riders to the south. Next to him was a small box that was connected to a strange green cylinder.

Ava then yells out, "Hey, Hybrid."

Hybrid then replies while packing up and jumping off the skeleton, "Hey, Ava. Just finishing up the frame of this mighty bird."

Ava then asks, "What were you using?"

Hybrid then answers, "It's called a TIG welder it is used for special metals such as aluminium and that green tank contains pure argon."

Ava then asks, "What does TIG even stand for?"

Hybrid explains, "It stands for 'Tungsten Inert Gas'."

Ava then says, "If I'm correct the entire frame is aluminium."

Hybrid replies, "Well, a stronger version of aluminium that also wants to be special."

Ava was impressed by the size but was interrupted by the Dreadnought attempting but failing to look less intimidating and giving a nice flower to Ava. She was still frightened but accepted the flower and the Dreadnought returned to transporting aluminium and other materials along with fuel.

Hybrid was confused at the Dreadnought's actions but was pleased with it, nonetheless. Ava was slightly calmer from the war machine's actions but could tell it wasn't done by Hybrid. Ava then got an alarm which made Hybrid jump.

Hybrid admitted, "I did not expect that, guess it has to do with something that involves waiting."

Ava replied, "Pretty much and I better get going."

Hybrid then says, "Alright, I'll get back to this thing and hopefully get it done before the end of the week." He then makes an inhuman leap back to the welder. It always seems to impress Ava and she hopes that she could do that.

Mitne Sventar takes out the cake as Ava returns to it. She sees an impressed look on Mitne Sventar. The cake is a light brown with few cracks on the top revealing the fluffy inside.

"I knew you had a talent for taming a god, but I didn't expect you to be a good cook." Mitne Sventar complemented.

Ava replied, "Thanks, also would you know anything about the Dreadnought giving me a flower?"

Mitne Sventar answered after a sigh, "I told it to have friendly interactions with you indefinitely. So, every time you encounter it, it will attempt to be less threatening, but I didn't expect it to give you a flower."

Ava then began making icing for the cake and when the cake cooled completely, she dressed it, and it was ready. Ava then thought of a good present for Hybrid and didn't know what to get for him.

She then went of to find Hiccup and saw him building something.

Ava said, "Hey, can I have some help?"

Hiccup replied, "Of course, what do you need help with?"

Ava answered, "I want to get Hybrid a present, but I don't know what to get."

Toothless then said, "Hey, look what I found." He then gives an old hilt with ancient draconic inscriptions.

Hiccup then asks Ava, "Any Idea what this says?"

Ava looked at the inscriptions and read aloud, "'Devil Blade, owner: The Great Cataclysm'." She then gasps in realisation then tells Hiccup, "It's Hybrid's sword but I had never seen it before."

Hiccup then said, "This could be your gift to him."

Toothless was confused and Hiccup explained the situation.

Ava then says while leaving with the hilt, "Thanks Hiccup and Toothless."

It is now the morning of Hybrid's Birthday Mitne Sventar, and Ava were ready. Ava was excited to see Hybrid's reaction and heard him opening the door. Hybrid entered and looked at Ava and Mitne Sventar and a Caramel Cake. He could help it, but tears started to form he just walked up to Ava hugged her as a smile began to uncontrollably form.

Mitne Sventar and Ava both said, "Happy Birthday Hybrid."

Hybrid replied, "Thanks, this means a lot to me."

"I know I've missed an unconceivable of Birthday's spanning over 5,519 years, but I hope this is a good start." Mitne Sventar said as he hands Hybrid a double-sided axe.

Hybrid replied at the sight, "Still trying to make me an axe person."

Mitne Sventar replied, "Yeah, I'll get there one of these days."

Ava then presents Devil Blade to Hybrid as she says, "I think you'll prefer this more."

Hybrid accepts and kiss Ava and arcs of red and white intermingle with each other. Mitne Sventar was both happy and awkward as kiss unfolded.

Mitne Sventar then said, "Want some cake baked by your wonderful girlfriend."

Hybrid then replied, "That is what you were baking." Then complimented, "And it is nicely done."

Ava then replies, "Thanks and Happy Birthday Red."

It isn't big only about 1,100 words but something to get a better feeling for Hybrid's arch. Also, please give feedback because I want to learn the ways of writing fictional character development.

To those who read my fanfics, I personally thank you for using your time to read the stories I put out even though it is not great. I do tend to misspell words or use bad grammar.

I can't make these as fast as I want but I want to give you Folks something good.
