The castle at the Milky Way Kingdom was surrounded by the darker fog, the indication of Black Hole meeting with Eclipse.
Said master was kneeling before the darkened figure. "Apologies, my lord. But the girls were lucky again."
"This cannot last, Eclipse." The dark mass snarled. "Those girls have already found one Crystal. We do not need them finding the others."
Eclipse tensed with a slight whimper. "I… I understand. But… We can't let the others keep losing."
Black Hole nodded, summoning forth some crystals. "That is why I've been taking various measures myself to give you all some extra power as well. The Corvus Crystal, the Draco Crystal, and the Cassiopeia Crystal, the third taken from the Queen's energy itself."
Eclipse nodded and took the Crystals, looking at the Draco Crystal. "I may use the Draco Crystal first. I have an idea for it." He smirked wickedly before looking towards the door. "Hydra! I have a challenge for you!"
The magenta colored man walked in, tilting his head as he caught the Draco Crystal.
Eclipse smirked. "How good are you with manipulating Crystal power?"
(Cue theme: 3-2-1! Zodiac Warrior Pretty Cure)

Episode 10: Rise of Darkness! Lead the Way, Pyxis!
Meanwhile at the school, our heroes were busy with studying for an upcoming test they had on biology.
Airi was not pleased with this, as she was never that great with biology. "Uuuuuuu……... Can't we just study something else?"
Tsukasa glared at her. "No! You and I, as well as the other girls and Orion know that biology is important for our science, as it's how the world works!"
Harumi chuckled nervously. "Sorry, but I'm with Tsukasa on this one..."
Kaoru huffed slightly with puffed cheeks. "You girls are no fun. At least Airi has some good intuition!"
Airi hugged Kaoru joyously. "Kaoru-chan!"
Rika just watched in bemusement, unsure of how to react to what the girls were doing.
Orion placed a hand on the forest green haired girl's shoulder and smiled. "Don't worry. You get used to them being silly and stuff."
Rika nodded a bit. "I see." She pulled her books out and looked over the notes.
The fairies were sitting in their human forms, munching on some donuts happily.
"Uwaa~! Earth has so many delicious sweets!" Lepus smiled as she took another bite of her donut.
Vulpeculos nodded and smiled. "Mhm!"
Rika smiled as she watched them, all the while thinking about her mission to tear the Cures up from within. 'No matter what, I must not fail. To do so would result in my termination.'
Airi noticed the cold look in Rika's eyes and poked her adorably. "Whatcha thinking about?"
Rika blinked and looked over to see Airi smiling at her, smiling back in response. "Oh, just trying to figure out the answer to this question."
Airi looked at the question. "I know. It's almost impossible to get this, isn't it?"
Tsukasa looked at the two and made a face, seeming suspicious of the greenette's attitude still. 'Hmm... what is she planning under that fake smile? She may seem real, but I know better. I need to keep a close eye on her more.'
Lepus was about to eat another donut when her odangos suddenly sprung up painfully. "Ow!"
Airi looked over in surprise. "What's wrong, Lepus?!"
Vulpeculos suddenly felt a chill run down his back. "Oh no…" He got up and dashed out of the room with his baby sister.
"Vulpeculos! Lepus!" Airi called after them, looking at the rest of the group as they nodded and headed out quickly.
The heroes made it to the outdoors and saw a huge Kurohoshi outside as they gasped in shock. "That's...!"
"KUROHOSHI!!!" The Kurohoshi, which looked like a Dragon this time, roared loudly while a massive wind gust blew in its wake, causing the group to shield themselves and fly back a little bit.
Harumi uncovered her eyes. "That Kurohoshi is nothing like before! I've never seen such power from it!"
The sound of laughter got their attention as Hydra appeared and smirked at the team.
"Hydra!" Airi got up quickly and glared at the scientist. "What are you up to this time?!"
Hydra landed on the Kurohoshi's shoulder. "I'm glad you asked me, Cure Virgo. What you see before you now is a Kurohoshi powered up by a Constellation Crystal, in this case Draco."
Orion was stunned by the news. "No way... they can actually do that now??"
Hydra chuckled and closed his book. "I'd say this is a successful trial, but the fun isn't over yet because you haven't seen all of its power."
Airi growled slightly before hearing her mother's familiar voice shouting her name and looking over quickly. "Mama!"
Mako ran over and stopped as she saw the Kurohoshi. "Th... that's...!"
Hydra looked down and saw Mako, laughing slightly as he saw her Crystal Star was darkened a little. "Not much, but extra power never hurt anyone." He snapped his fingers.
Mako yelped as she felt her chest hurting, her inner Crystal Star darkening before ripping out of her body, the poor woman shrieking in agony.
Airi looked at her mother in shock, gasping out of fright.
The others were just as stunned, and only Rika was able to snap out of it in time to catch Mako before she hit the pavement. "Whoa!"
Hydra smiled as he looked at the Star in his hand. "A fine specimen from the young mother of the maiden Cure."
Airi didn't even move, her body frozen in place like she had been a deer in headlights. First her father had died, and now she stood a chance of losing her mother again.
Kaoru wasn't going to give up. "Let's give, everybody!"
Harumi, Tsukasa, and Orion nodded as they got ready with their respective items.
(Cue Color Charge Instrumental)
"Zodiac Wand! Pretty Cure, Let's Blast Off!" The three girls transformed in their respective ways before posing.
"The lion's pride! Cure Leo!"
"The water bearer's tranquility! Cure Aquarius!"
"The bull's strength! Cure Taurus!"
(End Instrumental, cue Tuxedo Kamen style music)
Orion placed the petal of a rose to his lips, seeming to kiss it before he flicked it away, his body becoming covered in a starry void as he floated upwards.
His torso was surrounded by a group of stars that exploded into mini fireworks style and pinged his navy blue and amethyst suit into place before doing the same thing with his boots.
He snapped his fingers as white gloves appeared on his hands and a few rose petals flew past, his face showing with a silver visor over his eyes and his hair now being white.
He twirled around slightly and threw his arm out to the side, a black cape appearing on him as the background changed into one with a rose behind him.
(End music)
"KURO!" The Kurohoshi immediately launched a fire storm shot at the quartet, making them dodge quickly.
Taurus and Leo shouted as they tried to kick the Kurohoshi, but the tough scales proved a challenge as it knocked them back.
"Aquarius Freezing!" Aquarius caught the Kurohoshi's tail in an ice block, allowing Orion to try and strike it as well, but they got the same results with their attempts.
Leo landed and let out her sonic roar, trying to knock the Kurohoshi back but to no avail as it roared back, canceling out her sound waves before it destroyed the ice and freed its tail.
"Taurus Rampage!" Taurus tried to charge forward, ramming into the Kurohoshi with her enhanced strength and cracking some scales, but not enough as she was forced to dodge the swinging tail.
Orion and Leo jumped up to attempt a shot from above. "Orion Bomber!" "Leo Dynamite!" They kicked a pair of fireballs at the Kurohoshi, causing explosions that made smoke clouds before the claws flew at them and struck hard, causing them to shout in pain as they crashed down.
"Leo! Orion!" Aquarius watched in concern, unfortunately getting slapped by the dragon Kurohoshi's tail in her distraction and flung around as she tried to hold on, but got flung to the ground with an unearthly scream as her impact made a crater in the ground.
Taurus looked at her fallen comrades. "Guys!" She looked over, barely blocking the next attack and starting to fight the Kurohoshi solo, but she also got knocked down after a few minutes.
Airi looked over and saw the others were already down. "Guys! NO!"
(Eye-catch: Airi, Harumi, Kaoru, Tsukasa, and Orion are seen spinning around as Lepus and Vulpeculos jump by their feet before the five heroes change into their respective forms.)
Hydra grinned as he looked at Airi, smiling smugly as he crossed his arms. "What will you do, Cure Virgo? Your mother's Crystal Star is now amplifying the power of the corrupted Draco Crystal and your allies are down. You're basically in a losing position here! The win will come to me and the Black Hole Corps!" He laughed ruthlessly.
Airi was almost in tears at that moment. He was practically right. What could she do? Her mother was practically dead, the others were beaten, she had no chance of winning on her own. This was indeed a losing moment for her.
"President!" Airi snapped out of her stupor when she heard a familiar voice as Michiko ran over, causing her to blink in confusion. "Masuko-san?"
Michiko stopped and smiled at her. "I'm not alone, President!" He pointed to some of the Pretty Cure Club members.
One girl stepped forward and smiled. "Madame President, we know that the Cures are important and you're just as important to us! If we believe you can beat this thing, you can definitely save your mom!"
Airi gasped slightly, a certain twinkle coming back into her eyes as she realized that her hope was being restored thanks to the club's support. They believed the Pretty Cure could accomplish anything, so they'd put the same trust into her! She smiled and nodded to the others. "Yeah."
Hydra chuckled as he looked at the kids who had gathered around. "Such sentiments are not needed in a world full of despair. I don't think you children will be able to-" He got cut off by a pink blast zooming by.
"THAT IS ENOUGH OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!!" Airi had her Zodiac Wand out and had fired a shot from it angrily. "You may have caused me to see what despair could feel like, but that doesn't mean I can't gain hope! Especially when I have the support of my friends as well!" She smiled and held her wand up, now directing her words to the club members. "Please watch me, everybody. This is my hopeful heart protecting you!"
(Cue Color Charge Instrumental)
In a pink void, the Virgo Zodiac Wand spun around until Airi grabbed it, donning a light pink gown. "Zodiac Wand!" She drew a heart shape that glew before she smiled. "Pretty Cure, Let's Blast Off!" She held the wand up as it shot a firework off that exploded into the shape of her Zodiac formation in the stars before she flew through it, doing various twists and winking at the camera, stars forming around her arms and causing golden bracelets to appear along with flowy arm warmers before she twirled around as ribbons wrapped around her legs, forming her shoes.
She winked and danced a bit before spinning as a strapless dress formed on her body, the bottom half being poofy and having a star shape and the top half being basic pink with a white strip down the middle.
She hopped across from one star to the next as she gained a light pink ribbon on her neck with a bow in the back, a pair of wings on her dress top, and she blew a kiss, causing her lips to be glossed and her hair to grow longer and get tied up in two short pigtails and loose at the bottom, the color changing to blonde with a pink ombre as a star with Virgo's symbol appeared on the wings and larger angel like wings appeared on her back, spreading out widely.
The pink void changed to a void with stars as she twirled around, grabbing a small crown with a bow and placing it on her head before she held her arms out in an embracing way. The Zodiac Wand landed in a sparkly bag by her left side as she landed with one foot in front of the other.
"The virgin's pure heart! Cure Virgo!" Cure Virgo moved her hands, pinks sparkles flying from her fingers before she blinked her blue eyes and posed Sailor Moon Style.
(End instrumental)
Michiko was stunned. "President Hoshinako!"
Airi stood proudly in front of the Cures and the club members, her hair flowing behind her as she glared at Hydra and the Kurohoshi with newfound determination.
"KURO!" The Kurohoshi flew forward, ready to strike.
"Virgo Protection!" Virgo created a dome around everyone and stopped the dragon from attacking. "No one is stronger than a person who comes from the depths of despair and rises up to the challenge, surpassing it and pushing forward!" The barrier glew as it changed, forming two heart shields that she held expertly.
"KURO!" The Kurohoshi reared back and launched several fireballs at her.
She blocked each and every one of them, before she pushed a larger one back at the Kurohoshi with a shout and knocked it back.
Hydra was dumbfounded, starting to sweat. "How...? I was so certain about these odds..."
"The odds can always change!" Aquarius got up, beaten but not out yet. "Your odds of success just dropped!"
"You know why?" Leo got up next, grinning cheekily. "Cause Airi never gives up!"
"It's that determination that allowed me to accept her as a leader in the first place." Taurus got up and looked over. "Not to mention her unwavering positivity in the face of bad times!"
Orion got up last as he glared at Hydra. "Her strength is the truest example of her perseverance!"
Virgo glared at Hydra. "My hope is unbreakable and my strength much more so!"
"That's why we..." Michiko started to speak as the club finished with him: "... will always follow her example!"
Suddenly a bright light shone down, causing all of them to shield their eyes.
"That light!" Lepus looked at the light as she floated up.
The light floated down in front of the five heroes and pinged into a Constellation Wand, having the symbol of Pyxis in the silver Crystal.
"This is...!" Airi was amazed by the appearance of the new wand.
Orion slowly took it. "The Pyxis Wand."
Vulpeculos floated over happily. "A miraculous new power!"
Lepus floated over as well. "Hurry, Orion! Use its powers in battle!"
Orion blinked before he looked at the girls, all of them nodding in agreement.
(Cue Mode Elegant Music)
Orion held up the main Pyxis Wand. "Constellation of Pyxis, lend us your power!" It shone brightly in his outstretched palm and fired a light that split off into four other lights as the girls each caught one.
Virgo spun around and posed sweetly. "Pyxis power, Virgo pointing North!"
Leo spun and posed energetically. "Pyxis Power, Leo pointing West!"
Aquarius twirled and posed serenely. "Pyxis Power, Aquarius pointing East!"
Taurus twirled and posed fiercely. "Pyxis Power, Taurus pointing South!"
The quartet held up their respective wands and crossed them, speaking in unison: "Four powers, now in our hands!" The girls gained ribbons on their wands as they swirled them around. "Pretty Cure Crossing Espoir!" The four ribbons each formed a corner of a four pointed star before a large multicolored beam exploded out of the star and rocketed towards the Kurohoshi, hitting it hard on its impact.
Together the girls swirled their wands to charge the purification and chanted in a united fashion: "Glittering hope, shine on!" As they turned and held their wands together, they emitted a bright light.
"Beautiful..." The Kurohoshi moaned before exploding in multicolored smoke, the purified Star returning to Mako as she woke up. "Huh...?"
(End music)
Hydra caught the Draco Crystal amd scoffed slightly. "Seems the quintet have grown stronger since they banded together." He smirked before teleporting away.
As the damage was repaired in the magical light, Airi ran over to Mako. "Mama! Are you okay?"
Mako looked at Airi, recognizing her through her blue eyes. "Airi?"
"Yes, Mom. It's me." Airi smiled sadly before she started tearing up, hugging the older woman and starting to cry. "I'm so sorry! I didn't want you to get hurt! I could have lost you again!"
Mako returned the hug, tears falling from her own face. "I'm sorry too, Airi. I shouldn't have rushed out like I did. But... I know you want to protect me now."
"Eh?" Airi pulled away and looked at Mako in confusion. "What do you mean?"
Mako smiled at her. "Airi, for the longest time, I've been protecting you from what has happened and keeping your mind so pure. But you've protected me as well by keeping that smile on your face. You're my glimmering hope, Airi."
Airi started tearing up again before she nodded. "Yeah!"
The other Cures, the fairies, Orion, and the members of the Pretty Cure Club smiled as they watched the mother and daughter interact.
Back in the Kingdom, Eclipse was watching them interact and narrowing his eyes, his head starting to hurt. "Damn... What the hell is going on...?" He looked at the ball again and sighed. "Well, one thing's for sure: Hydra's experiment worked. Even if they have an advantage, so do we." His eyes glew a brighter red.
(End instrumental, cue End theme: Go Zodiacs! Let's Pretty Cure!)
