Midnight Scrum

Hiccup, Hybrid and Ava return to the edge after another successful raid on the Dragon Hunters to see the group with worried looks on their faces. Hiccup and Ava were confused but Hybrid has an idea of what the situation is.

Hiccup asks with concern, "What's wrong."

Snotlout replies while holding a bounty, "You three have a bounty on your heads."

Ava then turns to Hybrid saying, "This is the second time you've got a bounty on your head."

Hybrid then corrected, "Fifth actually."

Astrid the replied, "So, I can say you'll probably be less of a worry."

Hybrid then said, "Yeah, there is only one I actually worry about, but a few pounds of explosives and a well laid trap will do nicely."

Mitne Sventar then enters the club house saying, "Hybrid, on the bounties board you have a bounty on your head."

Hybrid then replied, "I thought so. Anyway, I should get the bot,"

Astrid then asked, "How's the Atlantic flight project doing?"

Hybrid answers with confidence, "The project is ready for take-off just need to wait for proper supples to be ready and haven't fuelled the bird yet."

Hiccup then said, "Unfortunately, that has to be in hold because of Berk's 400th anniversary."

Snotlout replied, "Of course because that's a sane thing people who have bounties on their heads."

Hybrid then answered, "I can keep an eye out sense the anniversary doesn't include me."

Hiccup replied, "It includes all of the dragon riders so, this quite literally does include you."

Hybrid then comebacks with, "I can multi-task."

Mitne Sventar then said, "Let's do this."

The Riders then land at Berk and Hybrid receives the good snarky comments about his species. Stoick then approaches the group and gives Mitne Sventar a warrior greeting. Gobber makes himself noticed to the group.

Stoick then says, "Unfortunately, I still yet to make the village be nicer to you."

Hybrid replies, "Honestly, I've heard just about any insult including mindless morphing lizard."

Hiccup then says, "Anyway, we should get to the making the anniversary." Which Hybrid nodded at.

Stoick then replies, "We should, so this is the plan." He then explains his ideas that are based around the riders and Hybrid gives and additional idea. So, the riders head off to makes this happen except Hybrid and Ava.

Stoick asks, "What's holding you back?"

Hybrid replies, "By any chance do you know of the bounties."

Stoick then asks in concern, "What bounties."

Ava answers, "There are bounties on Hiccup's head, along with ours."

Stoick was shocked which turned to anger, "Then we should keep a good eye on the three of you."

Hybrid then says, "Hiccup and my wonderful love should get priority over me due to the fact only one could really get me and his not even on this planet or within the universe."

Stoick then replied, "But I'll keep an eye out for all of you."

After some preparations they were ready to get the event rolling. Gobber had gone up to give a speech and get things going. The entire village cheered loudly ecstatic for the party.

Gobber then says, "We Berkians have come a long way in 400 years. For a long time, we were at war with the dragons, hunting them, killing them. But that all changed one day when some of our youngest Berkians had the guts to step up and take a stand. Ladies and Vikings, the time has come to look towards the future of Berk. I give you Hiccup and the Dragon Riders!"

The riders then soar above Berk and whistles can be heard then replaced by loud bangs as Hybrid's firework display brightens the night sky. Hybrid and Ava began their move, but red and white magic interacted harmonically which made the performance better than planned.

Then Astrid and Heather fly towards each other, grinning across the gap between them as they stand upright on their saddles. The dragons skim within inches of each other, and the girls leap before they can collide, clinking their bracers together in salute as they pass through the air, before landing on their dragon's saddles again.

Mitne Sventar and Hybrid soar together, and the red and purple magic was a bit more volatile and minor surges struck. Hiccup then noticed two suspicious looking Vikings and before he could do anything Hybrid's voice said, "Hiccup, don't worry they're Silent Sven's uncles." Hiccup looked around but saw Hybrid preforming. Hybrid's voice then said, "Oh right, I can speak telepathically, and I also cannot hear you before you think I'm rude for not replying."

Hiccup then resumed the Anniversary performance.

The village then continued the event in the Great Hall and Hiccup and Toothless was looking for a place to sit and saw Hybrid inspecting a strange item. Hiccup asks, "What do you have there?"

Hybrid answers, "Oh, this, this is a powerful weapon. While it may not look dangerous, but it is quite the opposite. It's called a pepperbox. Using a powder and a spark causes a tiny blast sending a metal ball straight through thin steel and is capable of hitting someone from where Stoick is to me." He then puts six bags and six iron balls and used a iron stick ramming it.

Hiccup then asks, "Why did you loaded it?"

Hybrid replies rather coldly, "For the poor son of a frost giant who is gonna attempt to capture me."

Stoick then came over and said, "I heard you two and Ava have bounties on your heads."

Hiccup then replied, "Yeah, about that."

Hybrid answered quickly, "Yeah, I know that your gonna assign guards to us, but please prioritize Hiccup and Ava. Because if someone does try to take me down, I have a nasty surprize for them." The gun clicks to signal that a round is ready to be fired.

Hiccup said, "Wait, did you tell Dad." Hybrid nodded, Hiccup just accepts it, and Stoick tells them how it is going to be handled.

Late in the night an armoured man with a rifle took two guards out with a tranquilizer outside of the ring. He then uses a pistol and with a hiss a dart struck Hybrid and the man starts to restrain Hybrid and whispers to himself, "That felt a bit too easy."

Hybrid replied, "I wonder why, Trapper."

Trapper's eyes widen as he braces, and a quick flash followed by a loud bang rang out. The Trapper then recovers getting his pistol and shoots several shots that ricochets of Hybrid's scales and Hybrid fires back.

Mitne Sventar is awoken with Stoick and they left the hut they were in and he noticed a struggle and a distressed Toothless and two trails with unconscious guards as well as exchange in gunfire. He then turns to Stoick and says, "I'll help Hybrid and you get the rest of the riders up."

Stoick says, "I should come and help Hybrid."

Mitne Sventar, "From what I hear it's a two-person gunfire exchange and I don't think your exactly bulletproof or bullet-resistant at the very least."

Stoick reluctantly gets the riders and Mitne Sventar heads off to the exchange.

Hybrid gives off three shots then reloads and hears Mitne Sventar attack Trapper. Hybrid then quickly leaves cover and shoots off a round and blows off Trapper's kneecap and fragments following the projectile. Trapper yells in agony and his leg goes limp then attempted to use his pistol and Hybrid fires and the bullet blow through Trapper's elbow.

Hybrid said, "Really thought you could take me down that easily while I knew about the bounty."

Trapper replied after some thought, "I guess I should have used your love, but she is currently with a one-legged Viking to my employer."

Hybrid wide-eyed in shock before his anger start showing with his eye's open with a flaming orange iris and his pupils were slit. His wings came out and he took off. The riders caught up to Mitne Sventar who is hold Trapper and a depression in the ground.

Then with a flash Trapper was gone and Mitne Sventar said to the group, "We need to go and make sure the three get home before an accidental genocide unfolds."

Ava wakes up next to Hiccup and two men stand before the two. One of the men says while smirking, "Well look at her. I like her."

Ava began to shiver in fear and barked out, "Get Away from Me!"

The other man says, "Oh, we've got a fighter here."

Then a voice could be heard as it silently demands, "Leave her alone. Or a god forsaken beast will kill you without a care in the world."

The first man said, "Shut it prisoner, take her somewhere private." As he maliciously chuckles.

The second man says, "We've got a place for you, lassie." And takes her away.

Then another voice could be heard although all too familiar to Ava. It was lased with a malicious poison, one with cold confidents, and its scent was of burning ash. It asked rhetorically, "I so hope you weren't going to do what I think your planning. Otherwise, I'll have to do something unthinkable."

The man said, "And what are you going to do about it."

It replied, "This." A humanoid dragon revealed itself with flaming orange eyes with a fanged grin as a sudden flash followed by a bang and blood began dripping as the man knelled in pain. The thing said gawking, "That is what I call a high-speed vasectomy."

The man cried out, "Please don't kill me."

The creature replied, "My conscious might've given you a chance, but I am the nature of destruction. Simply I don't care. Luckily for you where are planning to shoot you right now, you be dead in about 20 seconds probably less, considering your now bleeding from your jewels. Anyway, goodbye say hi to Hel for me and also ask that my regards go to Loki and Angrboda." Before another shot occurs followed by a spray of blood on the walls of the ship.

The creature licked the blood of its arm and commented, "Tastes fruity, an uncontrolled diabetic. Hmm."

Ava said while in shock, "Hybrid."

The creature observed Ava who was pale and experience symptoms of shock he then broke into the room and gathered some blankets and got Ava to lie down and put the blankets on her and some water and comfort her and she started to get better then the first man found them and the corpse of his dead friend. The creature growled at the man and he when to step back and was shot in the back.

The soldier with Hiccup who was not terribly shocked slowly approached the creature and two recognised him. The soldier knelt before it and said, "Alpha Cataclysm a pleasure to meet you, I am Ryan Fireblade who revolt and barely escaped with a few others. I apologise for what I have done, and I now understand what some have not. That you have defeated therefore you are the reigning Alpha until you are officially crowned King."

The creature's eye's returned to a more human look as and Hybrid looks to Ava and says, "I'm sorry, Ava. I lost control and you what you saw was wrong I'm sorry."

Ava regained her composer and said, "Technically, it wasn't you in control."

Ryan replied, "You haven't fused your nature to your conscious."

Ava did a double take and looked to Hybrid to which he replied, "The reason I haven't done it is because it's too dangerous and nearly kills me."

Ryan asks, "But your parents had tests done on your core's integrity and it was the strongest they've ever seen. The fusing process should have gone flawlessly."

Hybrid replied, "Well, halfway through the first phase it almost overpowered my core and when it came to the second phase the energy almost doubled."

Hiccup said, "That is very horrifying."

Hybrid nodded in agreement then said, "Well, Ryan set a course for location that the bounty exchange happens and if you can get you soldiers there for an attack."

Ryan bowed as he says, "Of course, Alpha."

Hybrid then heard flapping of wings and went on deck and saw the rest of the riders and Hiccup was happy to see Toothless. Ryan walked up to Hybrid and asks, "What do you want done with the bodies, Alpha."

Hybrid answered, "Will through them overboard. I'll help."

Mitne Sventar asked Ava, "What happened? Are you alright?"

Ava answered, "No, I'm fine and happy that Hybrid got here before they violated me."

Mitne Sventar replied, "I hope the corpses are theirs."

Ava answered, "They are, and Hybrid's nature gawked at one that was taking me to a private area after doing a move called a 'High-speed vasectomy'."

Mitne Sventar scrunched his face as he says, "Do you know what a vasectomy is."

Ava replied, "No, but I assume it has to do with the male anatomy from where the blood was dripping from."

Mitne Sventar replied, "As much as I hate them, I feel bad for the one just got his crown jewel shot."

The group saw Hybrid and Ryan bring up a body with a crater in his throat and between his legs get thrown overboard. They then went back under to pull out another. After the dead men were removed, they proceeded to the exchange point.

They make it to the exchange point and see Ryker and Silva who is fairly injured. The team approached the hunters.

Silva said noticing Ryan, "We met again after you betrayed me."

Ryan said back, "We took an oath to protect and preach the Dark Citadel's greatest values. It was not I who turned my back but you who turn your back on the Dark Citadel and her people and her former and acting kings."

Silva taken aback, "Acting King?!"

Hybrid replied, "I mean by the Ancient Draconic Laws 'Those of dragon heritage whom, defeat the Dragon King will unofficially assume the role of the Dragon King.' and my father Mitne Sventar was defeated by me twice, once unofficially and another officially during the assault on the Citadel."

Ava then said in realisation, "That's when you saved me, Jack and my… father."

Mitne Sventar wince in guilt at the mention of Ava's father as well as Hybrid. Silva saw this and took advantage and one of his soldier's went for Ava but was abruptly stopped as red energy stopped him. Everyone stood back except for Hybrid.

Astrid asked horrified, "What just happened?"

Silva demand, "Why did you stop?"

The soldier replied, "I'm trying to move but it's like my body ignoring me."

Mitne Sventar muttered loudly, "Alpha Control."

Hiccup replied, "What?"

Mitne Sventar explained, "Alpha Control is an ability that is wielded by a Dragon King and allows them to take total control of another's body, but the conscious is fully aware of what's happening. I had barely used it but he who shall not be named used it to make victims of billions of females and the torture of billions of males."

The power then faded as two injured soldiers got a hold of the released soldier. Hybrid shook his head as he tries to collect himself.

Ava looked at him and asked, "Are you okay?"

Hybrid replied, "I should be fine but that I didn't like nor my other half."

Mitne Sventar did a double take then asked, "Other half like your nature?"

Hybrid replied agitated, "I'll tell you when I tell you." He turns to Ryker and his hunters followed by Silva and his soldiers and says demandingly, "And for you, you will remove the bounties and if I see them especially Ava's I will not hesitate to kill you and Silva it is very much healthier for you if we never met again face to face."

Silva reluctantly retreated and boarded Ragnarök and left followed by the Hunter Ships.

Hybrid then said, "Alright, lets head home."
