THIS IS PART 1 OF A THREE-PART STORY. I THOUGHT THAT CHASE AND WUYA WOULD MAKE A CUTE EVIL COUPLE.
Chase was in his chambers getting dressed in his most modern formal wear; a black tuxedo jacket with a pressed white undershirt, a pair of black slacks, and a pair of shined black dress shoes. He lightly combed his hair as he looked in the mirror. "Can't believe I got roped into this by Wuya. I have to pay good money to eat dinner with a woman who infuriates me," he said to himself. He left his room and made his way to the foyer. "Wuya, where are you? It's time for our arrangement," he yelled throughout the citadel.
"You mean our date? Here I am."
Chase turned around and saw Wuya was in the hallway entrance and wearing a semi-tight strap-less black dress that went to her knees and a crimson pair of heels. Her hair was in a beautiful fluffy ponytail. Chase was surprised. He has never seen her look so good. He was about to compliment her but decided not to. "Let's get going, Jack said the reservation is at 8:30 Paris time," he said before taking out one of his many antique pocket watches from his slacks to check the time. "We should go now."
"You do realize that we are in a different time zone than Paris, right?"
Chase let out an irritated sigh. "I know, but I keep all of my pocket watches set to each time zone from where they originated, and my 1930's Zenith says that it is 7:45," he explained as he placed his watch back in his pocket.
"Always so astute," Wuya said with a roll of her eyes. "Shadow? Shadow?!"
"What?!" Shadow's voice came from somewhere in the citadel.
"If you need anything, use that phone device that Jack gave you to contact me, okay?" Wuya yelled in her direction. They waited a few seconds. "Shadow!"
"I said 'fine'!" she yelled back.
"She did not! Can you believe her?" Wuya asked her reluctant date.
"Maybe if you stop acting like her mother," Chase said.
"Can we just go already?" Wuya said in a slightly angry voice. Chase let out a snicker.
A panther came into view, balancing the golden tiger claws on its head. "Thank you, Patrick," Chase said before taking the wu from his cat warrior and grabbing Wuya by the hip. "Ready?" He added with a smug smile after seeing that Wuya's face was one of surprise and embracement. "A little flustered, Clown Face?" Before he let her answer, he shouted the wu's name and jumped into the vortex. They arrived at the top of the Eiffel tower.
Wuya quickly pushed the warrior away. "You know I hate it when you do that, Scale Lips!" she said trying to hide her blushing face.
"Cannot be helped, I enjoy seeing that look on your face. Come now, we can't be late," Chase said before making way to the Elevator. Wuya rolled her eyes and followed.
THIS NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE THEIR ACTUAL DINNER.
