While Robin left the Tower to mourn outside, Starfire was in her room crying and clutching a photo of Raven and herself. It was taken when they were at the mall. In the photo there were Starfire hugging Raven with her usual bright smile on her face, while the half-demon seemed to be enjoyed the company of her best friend and a ghost of a smile plastered on her lips.
"Raven, I wish you were here..." sobbed Starfire.
Tears dripped down upon the glass surface of the photo frame, right above Raven's head. Starfire kept sobbing until her eyes were bloodshot.
Beast Boy wept and hugged the remnants of Raven's cloak as memories of he and Raven were often have arguments, telling jokes to make her smile, and had fun, along with the other Titans. After several minutes he reminisced about their moments, he rose up from his fetal form on the couch then left the Ops room to his bedroom. Beast Boy just realized that he missed her sarcastic remarks as he chuckled at that thought.
In the garage, Cyborg stared down at a wrench in his hands. He remembered the moment when Raven helped him rebuilt the T-Car. She held his wrench and a slightly oil smeared on her cheek. He couldn't forget the wide smile she gave him that time. A single tear stroked down from his eye then sighed. To him Raven was like a little sister he never had.
Everyone was upset and sad over the lost of their quiet friend, while Terra...
Regarding Terra, she didn't know what to feel.
The Boy Wonder entered the Ops room then sat down on the couch and did nothing. His tears had stopped with steely stoic face on; the accident kept replaying on his mind. Robin and Raven had a bond that deepened their brother-sister relationship. They both had each other's backs when one of them had a problem.
Meanwhile he was outside earlier, Robin sat on a rock near the shoreline, watched the sun had set until the moon rose up to the dark sky. The night sky and the moonlight reminded him of Raven. At a flash of her image, Robin cried and guilty overwhelmed him.
Out of the blue, there was something gripped on his shoulder. Robin turned to look at whatever it was then saw a bird. The Boy Wonder stopped sobbing as he observed the bird's features. His eyes widened slightly and beckoned the bird to perch on his arm. Robin gave it a sad look.
"Raven, are you there?"
The bird had a red gem on its forehead and had a pair of deep blue eyes.
"Don't blame yourself, Richard. It's not your fault."
A familiar voice spoke in his head and that made The Boy Wonder cringed but relaxed a little. Robin still blamed himself for he wasn't fast enough to save her.
"I'm sorry..." he apologized.
"It's okay, you don't have to apologize. It was an accident."
"Are you a spirit?"
"Sorta, I am here to comfort you."
"Why only me? How about Koriand'r, Garfield, Victor, and Tara?"
The bird turned her head to avoid eye contact then said,
"I know they are also sad and upset over my demise, but you're the only one who is hurt the most," Raven paused to see his reaction. Robin only calmly listened to her and motioned for her to continue. "I am not only sensed sadness and despair in you, but I also feel your great guilty."
At the last part of the sentence made Robin sobbed as he buried his face in his hands.
"Richard, I'm not here to blame you. Listen to me, it wasn't your fault. It was an accident; you don't need to feel guilty because it wasn't you who collapsed the wall upon me. I am now free from the burden I had carried and I'll be here to watch over y'all."
Robin considered her speech then gently smiled at the half-demon. With a light chuckle, he replied,
"I guess, Kory will be happy to know you are here right now. Or Garfield won't stop his blabbering of believing you weren't currently dead and were pranked us like that, will he?"
Raven giggled a small and short laugh at Robin's assumption of Beast Boy. She always made fun of Changeling with her sarcasm humor whenever he joked around.
"Garfield and his never ending talkative mouth."
Back in the present, Robin replaying his and Raven's conversation over and over. After it felt like an hour had passed, The Boy Wonder eventually let a small smile on his face. The last sentence she'd said earlier was,
"I will always be by your side to watch over and protect you, my friends."
THE END
