A/N: Thanks for reading and reviewing, it really warms my heart and makes me super happy to get to know your thoughts. Please keep it up, and have a great day!

Also, a reviewer asked if I had an actress in mind to face claim Harper. I didn't really have one at first, and the vision I previously had for Harper in the beginning with short hair and so on has changed. In my mind the actress is Alice Englert, but everyone sees the characters differently and that's totally okay.

O.B.S! IN THIS STORY THE TOMB VAMPIRE HARPER WILL BE NAMED WILLIAM, SO THAT NO ONE IS CONFUSED WHEN READING!

Chapter 15 - Make me a Believer, Take me to Church

~X~

Harper had been on house arrest al á Carol Lockwood for days. Not that the teenager really complained, she really hated the mere thought about going back to school. Not because of classes, but because of the people.

She was terrified to meet Elena, and her two bodyguards. After the hospital had sent her home with directions on how to handle a concussion, and the bruising on her cheek that hadn't gone down, realization of the event started to sink in. None of them had checked up on her, nor it seemed like they even cared. It was like she was a background character in a movie, unimportant to the main cast.

Tyler had brought her homework each day, and did a dutiful job of keeping her in the loop over what was happening in school, with the help of Caroline of course.

"I can't believe you are stuck here" Caroline groaned as she laid next to Harper in her king sized bed.

"Well I'm not really stuck here, it's for my own good until my head is in the right place again" Harper said and looked up from her french textbook. Taking a course in a language let her out of P.E, something Carol was happy to advocate for to the principal. So she was more than ready to jump into a pretty fast paced and advanced course. Luckily her mother's side of the family came from France, but she was in no way a native speaker of the beautiful language.

"I guess… but please can't you go out tonight? It's the Duke party!" Caroline said and rolled over, away from her own history paper she had been writing on to look at Harper with her innocent puppy dog eyes.

"Caroline-"

"Oh don't Caroline me! You are my new best friend.. and going out to do things you don't really want to do is what best friends do!" The girl stated with passion, making Harper giggle.

"I'm not your best friend, Elena and Bonnie are.." Harper scoffed and looked at Caroline with a raised eyebrow. But Caroline didn't have the same humor about the joke as Harper had.

"They.. don't really have time for me anymore.. I mean me and Elena have a super weird relationship. And she also only spends time with her new boytoy anyway.." Caroline sighed and hugged a pillow close to her stomach.

"And Bonnie has her own witchy thing going on.. totally not in the right place to do anything other than be with her family to help her through it" She added, to which Harper decided to hug her. Caroline Forbes, though she may look and act like a real Regina George sometime, had a heart of gold.

"Well then, I guess I'm the next best thing.. hope you are ready to handle my crazy" Harper stated, and Caroline laughed.

At that moment Carol walked into the room, smiling at the girls. Her heart was really soaring to see Harper act and feel normal for once. Caroline Forbes was a wonderful girl and could really help Harper feel better.

"What are you laughing about?" Carol asked and put down a tray of tea and snacks by Harper's bed.

"Oh! Mrs. Lockwood, we were just talking about the party tonight" Caroline said and looked at Harper, who shrugged in defeat.

"Party?" Carol sounded extremely skeptical.

"It's a party organized by students, like a bonfire, Tyler and Matt will go with us" Caroline made the excuse, she knew she had Carol wrapped around her dainty fingers and played the part of the perfect queen bee well.

"Well then, have fun girls.. oh and Harper? Where something warm" Carol smiled and walked out the room.

"Urgh, she acts so fake" Caroline grunted and reached for a cookie from the tray.

"She tries her best, and technically she is my mother now. The case was settled over the weekend" Harper muttered and took one as well, smiling at Caroline.

"So you are officially a Lockwood then?" The blonde asked and took a bite. It was homemade cookies, but both of them knew Carol Lockwood enough to know she hadn't made them.

"Well yes, a Lockwood-Bellrose, school and official papers will go by both but personally I will still go by Bellrose" Harper stated.

"Cool… have you been to your old house?" Caroline asked and looked at Harper, whose smile dropped and her gaze turned mellow.

"No, not really. Still quite hard to walk through it, but Carol has a security firm and cleaning company come in once a week to check up on it. She says I can live there once I'm 18 if I want" Harper shrugged and looked back at her homework.

"And would you?" Caroline pressed.

"I don't know," Harper admitted.

Duke's Party

"It's so cold" Harper muttered and deeply regretted not taking her knitted mittens with her. Caroline kept insisting it didn't match her outfit, and Harper had therefore gone against her instincts.

"Have my gloves then" Tyler grunted and started to peel them off.

"No those are yours" Harper argued and dived for his hands, not letting him be cold. Tyler just rolled his eyes and pulled them off. Matt laughed but secretly wished he had brought gloves with him as well, he wanted to be closer to Harper.

"Just take them-" They were arguing like an old married couple when suddenly the other half of the group bumped into someone.

"Oh my god, Elena hi! Where have you been?" Caroline said and took Tyler's now naked hand. Much to his discomfort, they had been going back and forth on the whole thing, and Harper's surprised eyes didn't really help.

"Long story, no time to tell it" Damon Salvatore said with his usual condescending tone. Harper squirmed in discomfort as his gaze met hers.

"I wasn't talking to you" Caroline stated and rolled her eyes. None of the teenagers understood why Damon was even there. It was a party for high schoolers, why on earth would a guy in his mid twenties be there with them. Everyone turned to look at Elena, who didn't seem to care at all.

"We haven't met, I'm Matt" The blonde guy stretched his hand forward in a polite manner.

"Matt.. there is a reason we haven't met" Damon stated and looked at Matt like he was a piece of garbage.

"Dickhead" Tyler muttered under his breath, to which both Harper and Caroline giggled.

"You and I are going that way" Damon gritted out and took a harsh hold of Elena's arm. Everyone looked on, shocked that Elena would just allow him to drag her away.

"I'm sorry guys" Elena said as the couple walked away from the group.

"I don't understand her" Caroline scoffed. Harper shrugged but silently agreed.

The hour passed with a fast pace, alcohol was passed around to everyone and even Harper felt kind of tipsy.

"Shug! Shug! Shug!" Tyler was currently in a contest against a random guy from the football team that Harper had never met before. Both jocks competed with cheap beer to prove their superior masculinity towards the small crowd that had gathered.

"Done!" Tyler won and smashed the red cup to the forest floor. Harper rolled her eyes and looked at Caroline for help, but she just cheered him on.

"Hey, I will be right back" Tyler said to Harper and the others to head straight for Jeremy Gilbert. Harper raised an eyebrow and walked after him, to make sure nothing bad happened.

"Hey man, you got any weed?" Tyler asked, now Harper's eyebrows furrowed in question as she took a step back. Tyler hadn't done drugs since Vicki left town, and he was a better person for it too. It surprised her that he would even do such a drug as weed, even if it was minor compared to the things from his past.

"Are you kidding me? Right?" Jeremy scoffed. "You act like a total dick every time we cross paths, and now you want to party with me?"

"Dude, I'm just asking you a question," Tyler stated.

"Tyler-" Caroline said, but was interrupted by Jeremy.

"I don't get you man" Jeremy said and turned around, facing Harper. She smiled and gently waved. Jeremy didn't know what to think about her, she seemed kind enough and he had been a dick to her for hurting her and saying mean things about her in his former social circles at school.

"We are at a party, you are a party-ier, no need to psychoanalyze it" Tyler said and looked around the bonfire. Everyone was having fun, so far, no freaky supernatural things were ruining his night. Even Harper felt okay, which he thought was awesome. She was shyly holding hands with Matt, and he knew exactly what his friend wanted to do with her at the party.

"I don't party anymore, especially not with you," Jeremy said. Harper sighed and walked away from the both of them, not caring about the rest of the inevitable fight that was about to happen. Matt followed her, but then said he needed to go to the bathroom.

"30 seconds, then I will be back" He said, Harper shrugged.

"Okay, I will be here" She said and kissed him lightly, the beer breath only making it slightly gross. As Matt left she stood alone by the fire and without realizing it she walked away from it, aimlessly walking further and further away from the party. Harper had no idea of what was going on, but her feet seemed to walk for her, as if she no longer had any control over her own body.

Her mind started to daze, and an ache traveling from her head all the way down to her toes seemed to grip her. She could no longer turn her head or even blink it seemed. Harper just kept on walking. Voices started to whisper to her, no gender or tone was distinguishable, there were too many of them talking over each other.

Finally she stopped. Planting herself firmly into the ground. Harper couldn't see anything, just a white mist glazed over her vision. Over and over again the voices repeated the same line of message. She didn't even realize that she was talking until a voice, much darker and mystical than her own, came out of her mouth.

"Sheila Bennett... witch of the Bennett line… will die tonight… Sheila Bennett... witch of the Bennett line… will die tonight…Sheila Bennett... witch of the Bennett line… will die tonight…"

Harper had no idea of where she was, if she did, she would've noticed the vampires and witches below her, in front of the tomb, ready to break the curse. She would've heard the fighting starting between Damon and the others. Fright now firmly planted into the hearts of the witches and Elena.

But the next thing Harper Bellrose knew, when she opened her eyes, was that she was back at the party, Matt walking up to her. As if nothing had happened.

Back at the tomb

"Wh-what was that?! That girl.. she looked like Harper?!" Bonnie shouted as she once again turned around to see the girl from her class gone.

"It was a prophecy my darling.. she only did her job as a psychic" Sheila stated and hugged her granddaughter. Sheila had accepted that her end was near once she realized that both of the Salvatore brothers were back in town. But it was a truly horrible feeling to know that you were now at the end of the line. She didn't blame the Bellrose girl, she only regretted not taking Bonnie's wishes more seriously. Because witch or not, knowing more about themselves was what she had preached to her own granddaughter, it almost felt justified that she got to know about her fate this way, as to set a balance and settle a score to the inaction that she had done.

"I don't care, start the ritual!" Damon snapped and turned towards the witches. He was getting so fed up with that little Bellrose thorn in his side. He would deal with her as soon as he had gotten Katherine back.

The next morning

Harper had woken up with a slight hangover, the sun was shining through the blinds of her bedroom. Matt had driven her home, and made out with her in the car, as Tyler went off with Caroline, which was something that Harper would talk to him about as soon as he got home. Harper didn't really care about them being a couple, she was happy for them.

She went downstairs to her kitchen, ready to take a bottle of water and some tylenol to help her headache. Carol and Richard had gone away early this morning on a vacation for a few days, to 'rekindle' their marriage. It wouldn't work, they had gone on these weekend trips before, dating back to when Tyler was a toddler. But Richard would be in a happy mood for a few days after their homecoming, so Harper wasn't complaining.

As she was heading back up the stairs a slight rapping was heard on the front door. Harper's eyebrows furrowed and went to open. The person behind frightened Harper, as the guy had an ashen face, hollow eyes and cheeks. His clothes had slight blood splatter on them and he himself looked like he was frightened out of his mind.

"Please" He rasped, her eyebrows tight together and he swallowed tightly. Harper had a bad feeling in her stomach, and her head was showing her images of the tomb and blood.

"My name is William.. please help me"
