Chapter 28 - The Big Bad Wolf
~X~
Harper had been gone for days now, and now Eljiah had taken them to a house out in the Hamptons. The house itself screamed grandeur and money, probably one of the biggest mansions in the area located by the sea, with the devil living inside of its walls. They had taken a luxurious sports car, the brand unknown to a simple girl like Harper, all she knew was that it took them to her doom very fast.
A baby vampire with a daylight ring was guarding the entrance, sitting on luxurious garden furniture to be disused to the public eye. He looked like he was enjoying himself, but with one look from Elijah made the man scurry away like a scared cat. Harper didn't know whether to scoff or panic. They walked along the white simplistic and modern decor, through the lavish dining room to the somehow overflowing yet cozy living room to finally reach a room that Harper hadn't expected. A studio, filled with artwork so amazing that Harper was sure it belonged in a museum and not stowed away against the walls like discarded failure.
"Ahhh, my brother! How I missed you" A man turned around from the easel he had been standing by, and Harper's breath was cut short. The man, the devil, was gorgeous.. The handsome blonde man, with striking blue eyes. Something inside of her liked the odd comfort of meeting his gaze. And what was more odd, was that the devil felt the same.
"And, you must be Harper" His British accent made Harper almost melt right there. What on earth was going on with her? She kept thinking of her home, of Matt. She felt confused and lost.
"Y-yeah" She whispered, taking a step to hide behind her other dangerous captor.
"She's a seer, brother.. and has already promised me the most important price of all '' Elijah stated with a waiting gaze, what would Niklaus say to that.
"What.. her virginity?" Klaus raised an eyebrow, and Harper scoffed in humiliating outrage. Her whole face was red now, and the comforting feeling she previously got was gone. Replaced with anger and disgust.
"No" Elijah moved from his spot, exposing Harper to the devil's gaze once again. Instead the vampire moved to sit on an ottoman quite relaxed and indifferent.
"I meant our family, she has promised me our family back" Elijah stated, making Klaus' eyes meet his.
"Really? Now.. how could she possibly see that come to pass? Hmm, as I have said many times before.. they are located-"
"In Chicago.. most of them at least" Harper burst out, not able to hold herself back from spoiling Klaus' lies and deception. The man hummed. And walked up to a trembling Harper, he was smirking and firmly enjoying how scared the incredible creature before him was.
"Truly amazing.. she speaks the truth" Klaus muttered, which made Elijah very happy. Trevor and Rose had been on the trail for some time now. Soon he would be reunited with his family.
"And she will help you too, just imagine what we could do brother" Elijah stated, standing up to embrace his brother. Harper wanted to cry, this was her fate now. Never to see her father and the rest of her amazing family ever again. She would be these mens little toys until the day she died. Most likely she would die by their hands.
"Well brother, we aren't in that much of a use of her yet. My plan is already in motion, I am all set to be what I was destined to be" Klaus said as he looked upon the seer. He couldn't explain it, but something inside of him was hurting to see her sad. It was a force, like, a bond inside of him was connected to her.
"And as a matter of fact brother, you are needed for the next step" Klaus stated with a hand on his older brother's shoulder.
"Which is?"
"Mystic Falls"

Mystic Falls
Three weeks after The Richmond Incident
Tyler was utterly lost, after watching Mason's videos to turning had made him psychically sick to his stomach, the fear of turning this evening was harrowing to say the least. Even with Magnus and Mason by his side, the mere thought of just turning was making him panic. Caroline had tried to be by his side and help him, but having a girlfriend that was a vampire wasn't really helping him, as his wolf instincts sadly wanted to hurt her and with Harper gone a rift of despair had grown between their group. As Matt had taken further steps to avoid everybody. They all needed to take a break, until he had everything under control again.
"It will be alright son, you have us. And with the pack you will be fine" Magnus stated as they sat in Richard's old study.
A few days ago Mason's old pack came to town, begging him to go back to Florida. The man had stated several times that he was now a beta in another pack, but they just didn't listen. Magnus had gotten furious when they had set up camp on their grounds in the forest. The old fashioned werewolf was strict with his terf, and it wouldn't be long before an all out war would start between the packs. Who knew what would happen during the coming full moon.
"I know, I just.. I miss Harper.. It is making it all worse" Tyler huffed and rubbed his face. Magnus' mood darkened and a heavy aura swept over the room. They all missed her, and it was the not knowing that slowly killed them. Was she dead? Was she being tortured? Not knowing was like a sickness harbonating inside of them.
Suddenly, the door from the patio swung open. Elijah, who was unknown to the men in the study, held Harper tight by her bicep. They all stood up in a haste, growling and eyes glowing at the man.
"Nice little mutts.. calm down" Elijah huffed and looked between the trio. To make them stand back, he squeezed her arm again, making the teenager cry out. Which didn't help at all, the werewolves just got worse and closer to him.
"I'm done with her" The vampire said in a calming matter, pushing Harper into the arms of Magnus.
"Goodbye" And then the monster was gone. It took a second for them all to realize it, and that's when Harper finally started to cry. And as soon as Magnus did too, god had he missed her. The giant of a man held her tightly as she wept, staining his dark shirt with tears.
"I love you" Magnus stated as he kissed his daughters brow.
"I love you, I love you, I love you" Over and over again he says it. He closed his eyes, just enjoying the feeling of her back in his arms.
"I love you too dad" She whispered in a hoarse voice, basking in the warmth of his being. Behind her she felt Tyler clinging to her frame, he too was shedding some tears.
"Welcome home" He stated, squeezing her tighter. Harper was so happy to be home, but she also knew. This thing was far from over.

Later
Night of the full moon
"Just stay at home, stay with Caroline" Magnus pleaded as he sat at the foot of her bed. He had started to tremble himself, but after years of being a wolf and transforming he knew he had enough control to say goodbye to his little girl. With the cellar ready for the pack transformation, the help Tyler needed was ready to face the teenager's first transformation. Tyler had already started to feel the effects of the turning, and he and Mason were already away at their chosen destination for the night.
"I will dad, she is here to protect me" Harper said as she held the blonde vampire's hand. Caroline had come over some hours ago, and the girls hadn't left each other's sides since.
"I promise, she won't move a muscle while I'm here" Caroline stated, all cozied up beside the seer in bed. The girls would be having a girls night just for them, the pizza was already ordered and on its way.
"Thank you" Magnus stated with a kind gaze at the vampire. Caroline had been fierce in her search for Harper, and Magnus had all but given up with the will to keep functioning as a human being if it hadn't been for her and Lizzie.
"I love you" The werewolf said and kissed his daughter on her hand before standing up.
"Love you too dad" Harper said as the man smiled and walked out the bedroom, leaving the two girls alone for the night.
Caroline was fast to cozy up the room with candles and blankets. Their attire was totally grandma pajamas themed with a splash of wool socks and no make up rule. The snacks were the best in all the land, chocolate for days but also some frozen grapes popcorn. They didn't say much, well, Harper didn't say much. She just smiled and nodded along as Caroline ranted about the gossip going around town.
"Everything will be alright" Caroline whispered as the end of the Notebook played out on screen. Harper smiled her typical gentle smile and took the blondes. It was the first sign of her wanting to be touched by other people other than her dad. And Caroline felt a surge of happiness go through her as Harper started to show signs of her normal self.
"I know," She said and squeezed her hand. Before going right back to watching the movie.
"Good" Caroline stated and snuggled deeper into the bed and closer to the seer. With progress like this, everything would go back to normal in no time.
Right?
