Mystery of the Fae
For Albus, all things can be a tool and a weapon if wielded correctly. Politics however whilst one of his most effective due to his experience at both statesmanship and the charisma that he had honed over the years, It could only be safely said that the craft of politics was a double sided blade.
Anything that was set in place always had the potential to be used against you at a later date. It was one of these situations that had irritated Albus immensely over the past couple of years. He had crafted a law that had allowed him to subtly usurp the votes of unoccupied but active houses, there were of course circumstances that had to be met and those limited the amount of houses that he could use the trick on but it gave him enough emergency votes to swing a vote if he needed to.
What he did not expect however was for this rule to allow for a house to be reactivated and be allowed to have its head remain anonymous due to his own machinations. The old proceedings would have it that the heir would have to present themselves before the gathering within a year of the claiming of their ring. His interference however had given a loophole that had let them be in absentia for the time.
This had irritated him immensely as the house that had reactivated was the royal house of lefay. One of the most prestigious and powerful houses within the conclave. This had naturally caused a furor within the gathering and set everyone trying to find out what they could about the new lefay heir.

For Albus however his plans had been going well. Things had initially been rocky, with Lily being in a coma and James being affected so severely. The girl had always been a stabilising influence for him. It was her that had lessened the effect of his pureblood rearing, she had also lessened his arrogance. These were both good things in Albus's point of view, but the girl was the heir to the potters and Lily would not accept what needed to be done James would.
He just needed to couch his idea in an acceptable manner to the viewpoint of a properly raised pure blood. He would then subtly mention that the protections of being an heir would help keep his son safe from attacks by any of the dark lord's followers that were still on the roam.
Things had been going well, the trials were over and the recovery works were well on the way. He had started to move his pieces, planting subtle rumours to influence the public, making subtle political manoeuvres. All of it with the intention for the long game and his aim for the preparations for the next series of wars that he knew was coming.

Over the years that had passed things had changed, the overhanging tense atmosphere that had hovered over the enclave had dissipated, being replaced by one of peace, people had started to fall back into the old routines. Old habits. Power games and jockeying for position had begun not long after the trials had ended.
With his wife comatosed James Potter soon went back to his old playboy ways, his family name and wealth along with the fame attached to his son meant that he was never long without some woman trying their luck to become the mother-in-law to the famous boy who lived.
Hadrian himself had lived a privileged life, never wanting for anything. His fame meant that he had many people surrounding him. Just as his father was before him he had gained an ego due to being from an important family as well as the acolaid that was attached to his name. He had been going to many important events as well as connecting to many of the noble families' children to make alliances in the future.
Though he knew about his birth mother he had never visited her. He had grown up more attached to his fathers new wife, anise, whereas he had no memories of lily. So when Lily was pronounced dead it did not have as much of an effect on him as it should.
When he turned eleven years old Harry as was expected received his letter to Hogwarts, however unlike other children his age his was hand delivered by the headmaster. A man who had been a frequent visitor to their house and was seen by Harry as a trusted and loved grandfather figure thus was overjoyed to have his letter delivered by the man. He was even invited to the small celebration that was held by the family for the event.
The next day it was off to Diagon alley to get young Harry his school equipment. First stop, Gringotts. They had to stop at the Potter family vault to retrieve some gold for their expenses, as well as to register Harry as the family heir. A procedure that was traditionally done at one's eleventh birth day or as it was known in the olden days the beginnings of their magical maturation. This was one of the reasons why the schooling was done when it was.
After the cart ride into the depths of the labyrinthine depths of the goblin hold, through the mazes of vaults and past the untold numbers of enchantments and curses that were used in the defences of the goblins hoard. They arrived at what looked like an iron door. It was however a deception as it was laced with an unknown number of magics to prevent theft.
The family did not stay long, they never did. The artefacts and books that were in there had been placed there due to their dubious nature. They had too much magic in them to allow them to be destroyed and they could not be sold as it would be embarrassing to the family if it was found out that they had belonged to the potters thus they were placed into the vaults away from prying eyes and keeping any possible tarnishment away from the family reputation.
Thus it was that the only thing that the potters retrieved when they came into the vaults was money. It was all they needed as all the light artefacts and books were within the family library at home.
After finishing at the bank they started the rounds. First was the uniforms, however unlike what most students were getting hadrian bought ones made from the highest quality materials, they were also enchanted to have temperature controls, as well as limited growth. There was also the varying resistances that were worked into it, not including the standard colour changing charms that allowed the uniforms to adjust for the house at the sorting ceremony. Everything they bought was always of a higher quality, the trunk had multiple compartments with several security charms. They also bought extra books that would aid in classes by giving more in depth to the lessons than what was in the basic texts.
The apothecary provided more advanced equipment than the usual basic set. They also gained spare materials. This was how the pattern went Throughout their time shopping. It was not long until it was time for hadrian to go to the school. As was tradition they went to the platform, arriving there via the floo It was not long until hadrian was off to the school. It was not long until unusual events began occurring.
These events however always seemed to happen in such a way that no one else noticed. The student body passed them by in blissful ignorance. However hadrian in his ego driven mind just took them in his stride as just his due. With each new adversity that was overcome by hadrian and his friends, his confidence and arrogance grew in proportion. Equally all evidence that such events took place had all been hidden from all but those who the headmaster knew he needed to know about them and even amongst those the few that knew all of the details were few.
Thus came hadrian's second year at the school. As was a continuing tradition the school had been required to hire a new defence teacher. This time it had been a famous and well respected wizard who was known for his work in the area known as Gilderoy lockheart. Things had gone smoothly up until Halloween when a troubling message was left for the school written in blood next to the petrified cat of the school's caretaker Mr filch.
It was not until around christmas when a duelling club was held that things reached the point of no return and help was called in. help that would never be considered by those in power at the school. Albus refused to consider any aid from such a source as he considered them to be of a Dark influence. The board members of the school however were not aware that they existed as they were only known to those that sat upon the ICW.
Luckily however Albus had been removed from his position as headmaster by a vote due to the circumstances surrounding the goings on within the grounds. This freed the hands of others to send letters freely and it let knowledge filter out. It was only a matter of time until knews reached the right set of ears and a message containing a request was sent.

Being a research institute Chaldea tended to get all of the most advanced toys to test and use before anyone else. Over the years The institute had grown, originally it had only had the private facilities that were built deep within the snowy landscapes of antarctica. Now however with the creation of the mass teleportation devices, whilst not safe for living beings could be used on cargo, it was decided that the organisation should have a public face to make the transportation of goods easier. Given that a good number of the servants in the caster class could fold space time also simplified things. Thus it was that in Iceland a frontage for Chaldea had been built.
Within a private jet flying from the airport were two women. A handler and agent, both were sitting within comfortably stuffed chairs before a table with a holographic display which was showing a briefing.
The handler, a short woman with long red hair, wore a sharp suit that emphasised her figure. She had been this agent's partner for a while despite circumstances that would normally have disqualified her from the position, those circumstances were what made her one of the few that could be her handler as she was one of the few that the agent would actually listen to. The handler was Lily Evans; she had been chosen for this mission due to her experience with the English magical enclave. Experience that could come in useful on their mission.
The Agent was strange compared to those usually sent out, normally it was a heroic spirit or a team of magus. She however was different in that she was a reincarnation. A person who was reborn. Her name was Morgan Le Fay, and she was and still is one of the most powerful magic users in existence. The complication was that while she was able to have a somewhat normal childhood it inevitably came to an end when she started to relive her old lifes memories. This changed her somewhat. She became more mature and jaded.
Sitting there her legs crossed in her signature balck and blue dress with her knee high boots listening to her mother as she started to go over the briefing of what information they had on the situation they were going into.
"Okay Sweetie, we were called in to investigate and if possible resolve a series of attacks at the magic school in scotland" Lily said trying to keep her voice neutral as the viewer showed a shot of a castle within a valley.
"The one my brother is at?" She asked flatly, looking over at her mother. She could not remember the boy, she only knew that it hurt her mother that she could not be near him anymore. She supposed if she had memories it might trigger emotions but she had more of her family from her last life than she did this one. So what she did have was. Complicated.
"Yes" Lily replied, there was a slight edge to her tone however. It was obvious to Morgan that it still hurt her mother that she could not see hadrian.
" Anyway, we have been requested to investigate a series of attacks that have been occurring at the castle. Each of which have resulted in petrification of the victim." explained her mother, using the holo display to go over the parameters they had been given.
"Do not worry about dealing with the officials, that will be my job." her mother said as the briefing was coming to an end. This got a nod from her, she did not want to have to deal with unnecessary annoyances, having to play politics would just be annoying, she might have the ability to do so and have the charisma skill to pull it off, she unlike her last life just could not be bothered with the political field her memories had driven any desire for that from her, that and association with those annoying magi.

The jet landed at Glasgow airport where they were given a quick run down of the most up to date information before they were to go to their destination. Being a magical area it was naturally covered by barriers so it was hidden from the normal people, or at least that is what they thought. Chaldea and the UN had eyes placed upon all of the Enclaves at all times so they knew what was going on.
So it was with a groan that the two appeared within the small hamlet of hogsmeade. Brushing her enchanted dress to fix it and ensure she was her usual regal appearance, her focus in hand in its spear configuration. Morgan looked at her mother and then her surroundings. It was as if she had stepped back into her past life. The buildings, the road. All of it would not have been out of place when she had been alive at the time of camelot. True there were some things that were different, but it was shocking to her to see that the reports of how backwards were true.
It was just wrong. To think that a group of people would just refuse to advance like this. It boggles the mind. She felt a nudge on her shoulder causing her to turn her head slightly to see her mother motioning for her to follow.
Walking towards the castle in the distance she could not help but admire the view. It had been built within a large valley at a nexus of ley lines that were used to power its needs. The entire valley was alive with magic from those lines. Using a detection spell, she looked at the bounded field that they were coming up on. It was a nice piece of work. Intricately crafted. Woven carefully to let it draw from the natural magic without disrupting the environment. The people who created it knew what they were doing.
Unfortunately that was when it was created, now it had holes all over it from interfering schema, tact on functions, pieces being the years what was a strong barrier had been whittled away by interference intentional and not. All that was left was a fragile sheet of barely stable mana.
She could not even tell what it did with all of the interfering and interlacing signatures, it was a mess. There was no fixing that disaster, all that could be done was to tear it down and rebuild it from the ground up. That however was not her job. She would tell the director when she got back, what she did with the information was her decision, nothing to do with her.

The two of them walked up the long path enjoying the view until they came to a stop in front of the great doors. "Should we knock?" Morgan asked with a hint of sarcasm and a quirked eyebrow. At this lily sighed and walked forward and pushed the door. Getting an almost deafening creak. It was as if the door had never been oiled. Which was a definite possibility considering the reliance on magic within the enclave.
Walking in they could hear the rumble of voices. It seemed that they had arrived during meal time. Entering the great hall silence fell almost immediately. Morgan had to admit that when you see a supposed dead woman such as Lily since her ex husband had declared her dead it would come as quite the surprise to see her casually walking into a room.
"Lily?" came the voice from one of the teachers or at least Morgan thought they were teachers. "Why yes minerva"came Lily's reply with a mischievous smile causing a smirk to form on morgan. "But you were dead!"
"Ohh? Said who?" This caused a minor riot to erupt. Morgan however looked at her mother before indicating that she was going to begin. Turning on her heel and walking out of the room. Making her way to where the briefing had told her the incidents had begun. It was an odd place, the corridor outside of an abandoned girls bathroom? Why there of all places. She wanted to find out.

She felt her daughter leave to start the job, this however left her as the centre of attention standing there in the great hall. Every eye was upon her with varying degrees of disbelief. She really could not blame them since Potter had said that he had announced her death, since she was the mother of their saviour the news would have travelled fast.
"Your husband!" ohh they were still talking she realised….oh who? Husband…husband. That is right, the overgrown manchild she used to be with.
"You're talking about potter right?" she responded with slight derision in her voice, though considering the looks of shock on the faces of the staff she probably should have controlled her tone better.
"What do you mean by that lily!" barked minerva anger and disbelief starting to creep into her voice. "Ohh just that the bastard refused to let me see my son after i woke up from my coma, only thing he said was that i was divorced and had been pronounced dead" she responded with a snort of disgust at the memory whilst folding her arms across her chest daring the woman to contradict her.
There was a shocked silence in the room as people took in what was said. No one knew how to react. Luckily they did not need to worry about it.
"Now enough of this, I am here to let you know that I have been sent to sort out the issue of the attacks that have been going on." she said. This got a ripple of excitement in the room.
"Lily we both know that you cannot solve this issue no matter how good you are with magic, if dumbledore cannot solve it then you surely can not." came the response from the deputy head with a condescending tone making lily wonder how she put up with this nonsense for as long as she did.
"Well professor if you must know i'm not the one going to be doing the problem solving. I am just working as an intermediary." she said as she could not wait for what she knew was coming. The person who asked the question made her jump for joy inside at being able to rub it in their face considering what they did to her.
"Ohh?"sneered the potions professor snape. She knew however that he was only doing that for appearances considering he was the one who gave her up according to chaldea. It was useful having so many clairvoyants on the staff, she also knew that he only wanted her children and James to be killed.
"Why, I am working as the intermediary for one Lady Le Fay." said as a matter of fact whilst pulling out a small token with the Le Fay coat of arms embedded with the magical signature into it marking her as an agent of the house. It was something that had been decided to be used as a layer of protection for when they were operating within the enclaves.
Just as she expected it took a mental five count before what she said registered with the residents of the great hall then "WHAAAATTT!"
