Mystery of the fae

Hadrians year had not been going well. It had started out badly with a some ones house elf attempting to sabotage his return to the it had given him a warning about there being danger this year. Not that he nor his family had believed the insane little bugger at the time.

This had led to an attempt at causing him to be framed for underage magic and sealing the entrance to the platform that led towards the train to school. This was before he had even arrived there. So no he had the feeling he was not going to be having a good year at school.

Finding out that his new teacher was a glory hound was an annoyance but he had dealt with that his whole life, people who wanted to use him to advance their products or names. It was one of the things that he had learned early was to tell quickly, who was trying to use him and who was not. It was why he kept ron weasley close but not in confidence as he knew the boy was placed with him by the head master.

Friends were a luxury in his position. It was also the same reason why he did not make friends with malfoy. He would have but the boy only wanted to use him…. To please daddy. Once again on halloween everything happened, and once again he was blamed with little to no evidence. All he could do was sigh and stand their as the faculty of the school talked about what happened and sling ideas at each other. True he had no idea but at least he did not pretend to know.

Eventually they came back to himwith their accusing stares just for being in the area seemingly forgetting that a good portion of the school had been there too. He was twelve he did not even know a spell that could do this even existed, yet here he stood surrounded by adults being glared at and accusations being thrown his way. So he did whatcame to his mind.

" if this is going to continue i request my parents be here as my representation" he said not even sure if it was an option, it did however cause them to pause. Releasing another sigh all he could think was that this was going to be a long night.

Hadrian was sitting with his friends within the great hall, he could not help but reflecting over what had happened. From the first message drawn upon the wall things had only escalated. More and more people had been petrified it had become so bad that even the ghosts were affected.

It had gotten to the point in which the teachers had decided to create a dueling club to ensure that the students could defend themselves. It was within this club that things went down hill. The person running it was the defence teacher who over the course of the year have provent himself to be useless. So it was that when they were partnered up for practice there was no form of discipline or control , just a complete free for all. This led to a situation that almost killed justin one of the hufflepuffs, the issue however is that the manner in which it happened caused hadrian to be condemned as the instigator of the attacks as he discovered that he was able to use the magical language known as parsel, a rare ability. It also just so happenes to be the ability that salazar one of the founders of hogwarts was famous for.

It was not long after this that the head master was voted out by the members of the board of governors, or to be more precise mr malfoy. So things had not been going well for hadrian recently.

Here he was sitting within the great hall looking at his plate of food his friends with him when he heard the door to the hall opening. Looking up he saw two people entering, Two women from the looks of it. One was a red haired woman in a classy muggle business suit, the woman she accompanied he could not really tell much about as his eyes could not seem to stay focused coupon her. It was as if they would just slide off of her not really taking in any of her important details. What he did get was that she wore a black and blue dress and carried what appeared to be a stave she also seemed to have a white shawl around her shoulders.

He did not have much time to take her appearance in though as the woman turned on her heel and left almost as quickly as they came only leaving the red head. Though by the look of the professors reactions she was someone important.

"Lily!?" he heard being asked in a disbelieving voice. Hmm where had he heard that name before, he was sure he had heard it some where but it was escaping him. Deeming it inconsequential he continued watching the exchange between the visitor and the professors.

The shock was clearly heard within the voices of the teachers as they addressed this woman who was walking up to the head table. Why became obvious with their next statement.

"But you were dead!" The woman tilted her head in response to the question as if she was giving it some thought, then her melodious voice responded, amusement and sarcasm clear in her tone " ohh? According to holm?"

this seemed to cause the people who knew who she was to erupt, apparently this statement was a big deal as according to what she had just said within their conversation she was thought dead.

"Your husband!" came a snapped response this seemed to stop the woman as she seemed to need to think for a second to recall something.

"Ahh, your talking about potter arent you?" everything stopped. As if the world just froze. Lily. lily potter his birth mother. His father had told him that she had died, giving her life for him the night they were attacked and that that was the reason that she was not there. The reason that he remarried. Yet here she was standing before him, she also held clear disdain for his father.

He had no idea what was going on. He did however need to find out.

It was times like this that morgan was glad that she heavily enchanted her clothes. From defensive to enhancement runes and enchantments that had been woven into her garments there was however one set that she could activate at will and that was a set similar to those on mordreds helm.

These spells diverted attention, and did not allow a observer to retain information about her that besides the most obvious such as colours height and so forth. The spell work was so effective that if she covered herself in her shawl she could even hide her gender.

She had the spells active whilst within the great hall so she was sure that all any one could decipher about her was that she was female, petite and wearing a blue dress. Beyond that would depend upon the person and their ability to see through perception filtering spell craft.

So there she stood upon the secon floor at the junction where the report stated the events began. Taking her stave she dent out a pulse of her magic, scanning for irregularities.

Like a radar pulse it came back in under a second with its results. The wall had signatures of two mixed together, a male signature, one that was seeped in extremely dark magic. This signature however was mixed through a female signature. Filing that away for later as it was not primary on her task at the moment, she focused on the creature.

A serpent, large and old. Powerful but not of the phantasmal class close however. It was powerful enough to have its own magic resistance. The weak magic but flexible magic of the wizards would struggle against such a foe that is for sure.

She sensed a series of people coming up behind her but ignored them as she was busy, lily was with them and would deal with them. Slowly she walked in the direction of that the creature came from, a small room at the end of the hall. Upon entering she spotted a spirit floating in the room. Good she was on the right track as the creatures magic had left its mark on the spirit from her sixth sense.

Quickly glancing around, scanning the magics in the room looking for anything that was out of place. Water producing runes, cleaning runes. Similar spells and magics placed on sinks and pipes within the room it quickly gave her an idea of the standard bathroom in a magic school. This allowed her to also spot the oddities almost immediately.

Parsel magic. But not just that. Cloaking spells transfigurations and other magics. Using her fairy eyes she saw that she could with time unravel the spells and decipher the parsel. It would take time however.

She turned her head towards the staff that were behind her "how quickly do you want this solved?" she asked them getting confused looks. "As soon as possible obviously!" she nodded accepting the answer.

"Well we have four options available" this confused them. "one/ i can blow open the entrance the second i can take time to decipher the magics however some of them are in parsel." she explained to the staff getting looks of consternation. "The last two however are basically the same option we can either find or ship in a parsel speaker."

Lily could feel the eyes boring into her back as she made her way to the destination. She had cut the talks short as they had a job to do and it was not needed to draw unnecessary politics toward the organisation (not to mention that her daughter would kill her for doing so). She knew that the heads of house were following and that they were intent on getting answers from her.

When they arrived they saw her morgan standing their the picture of regality. Her shawl up and shrouding her head adding mystique to the image. She had her stave in her hand with a slight glow flowing around her.

"Lily?" filius whispered to her as they observed "what is she doing?" luckily it was not something secret so she could answer, actually she could do it herself after being taught how by her daughter just no where near as well.

"She is detecting the traces of magic and their unique signatures this allows her to map out roughly what has happened in this area, magic wise." she said to the group all though the small snort of disbelief made it clear where severous was on the issue.

Watching morgan as she processed the return from her scan, she headed off down the corridor. Without saying a word or even looking at them. "Well thats rude" minerva complained but lily just snickered.

"She is incredible at many things but social interaction is not one of them, dont get me wrong she knows how to she just doesnt like to and usually avoids it. Especially when she has a task she has to focus on." lily explained Walking along following her daughter only to find her for some reason examining a bathroom with intent.

Seemingly finding what she was looking for she started laying out the options that were available to solving the issue to the staff then she seemed to freeze.

Morgan was standing their talking to whom she assumed to be the figures of authority within the castel. They seemed to know her mother, probably from her time here as a student either from being students themselves or as teachers of her mother.

She watched them talk amongst themselves about what she had said when she caught a trace of foreign magic. No that is not quite right there was a trace of wizard magic but it was barely their, barely existent but now that she knew where to look what she was looking for there was a type of foreign magic too similar to those of the foreigner classes but this one was native to this world whilst also not being. A confusing contradiction.

She quickly scanned and narrowed down the signature, there the corner of the room. Her sudden movement surprised the occupants. She methodically but calmly moved to the corner that she sensed the magic, almost there as she was about to reach it it started to move! No she was not going to lot that happen! Summoning one of her foci she slammed the spear tip into the wall trapping whatever it was between her and her weapon.

"Ahh now you cant go anywhere shall you reveal yourself or shall i?" she purred clearly showing that she cared little which option was chosen only that if her time was wasted they would not like the consequences.

Morgan watched the space infront of her as slowly time ticked by befor the space rippled and then a small group of school kids appeared. Morgan just glared at them making them shrink into themselves.

It was only then that she heard the shout from the teachers behind her.

"MR POTTER!"
