"Who did this to you?" Sasuke asked with a venomous tone. Akira blinked a couple times thinking the question was toward the pink haired ninja next to her.
"Akira! Who did this to you?" The onyx pre-teen repeated the question.
"Oh um, I'm fine." Akira said averting any eye contact with him.
"Yeah Sasuke she's fine besides it's just a small cut on her forehead, I mean I'm in more…" Before she could even finish her response Sasuke was giving her a piercing cold look that made the whole atmosphere tense and ice cold.
"Was it them?!" Sasuke looked over to team 9 making his way ready to pounce for an attack.
"No! It wasn't that, they helped us. They helped me protect you." Akira ran towards Shikamaru and the others. Hikaru and Chou made their way towards Akira worried that something was going to happen.
"Then who hurt you?" Sasuke clenched his fists with more chakra radiating around him.
"If you must know it was me who hurt your little hime." Desu snickered. Sasuke smirked as he made his way towards the sound ninja. Sasuke had grabbed him from his arms and began to snap them.
Chou hid her face on Shikamaru's shoulder. The effect of her technique had long left her body. Hikaru's eyes widened as he saw the paralyzed ninja scream and wail in pain from the poison in his system.
"Sasuke Stop!" Both Sakura and Akira pleaded.
Akira couldn't take this side of Sasuke. She never saw him so cold and unattached from emotion. Running towards him pulling at his arms trying to have him stop torturing the poor sound ninja. Even after they tried to kill her she knew this was no way to treat your enemy.
"Sasuke please, that's enough you already broke his arms. Just let him go. This isn't you. This power radiating from you is not you. Please."
Akira began to cry as she fell to her knees wishing Sasuke could hear her. Listen to her pleas. Finally realizing what he was doing and seeing the tears rolling down her face Sasuke snapped out of his trance. His visual chakra was gone. Kneeling down to reach her level, Sasuke put his hand on Akira's.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." he then wiped the tears off her face as she looked at him and saw the kindness in his eyes she loved to see not that long ago. Throwing her arms around him and digging her head into his shoulder sighing with relief. The scene before all the genin was something that no one would ever happen. Sasuke made it clear he hated annoying girls but Akira did not follow in that category.
"Sasuke is hugging a girl!" Naruto shouted as he finally woke from his nap.
After the terrifying scene a few moments back, the young genin decided to take a much deserved break. Since Sasuke and Akira's moment was interrupted, Sasuke could not keep his attention away from Akira. Akira on the other hand could not keep busy enough not wanting to meet the onyx eyes who were watching her every move.
"Are you just going to ignore me completely now after what happened?" Sasuke casually munching on some meat. Akira blushed lightly and choked on some water. She had finally had her best friend back. She had no idea what to say or how to say anything. Chou and Hikaru's were watching the two like it was a soap opera. Sakura on the other hand was not so thrilled about the good soap opera in front of her. She wanted to save her crush. She wanted to be the one he hugged and was having a staring contest with. Ever since she came back it has been nothing but a pain.
"So Akira you and the bastard were friends a while back?" Naruto said, trying to lighten the mood a little bit. He knew the answer but man you could cut the tension with a kunai.
"Of course you idiot she was in the academy with us before she left." Sasuke started eating another piece of meat.
"Oh well, anyways, which scrolls do you guys have? We have the sky." Before he could finish he yet again got punched in the head by Sakura.
"Look forehead, no need to hit the poor guy. I know it's a test but we all just fought some crazy team." Ino came to Naruto's defense and patted the poor guy's head making sure he didn't have brain damage.
"She is right, and as much as troublesome it will be to fight right now we are all tired." Shikamaru yawned out.
Team 9; were already done finding the scrolls. They finished way before the fight.
"It's still a test so you all should leave before I try to get those scrolls ourselves Ino Pig!" Sakura shouted.
"God, you're so annoying like a banshee." Hikaru said, covering his poor sensitive ears.
"Can we just rest please?" Chou said in a soft whisper. Shikamaru was the only one who had heard her cute voice. Akira looked up from the ground seeing how her company had offended Sakura so much. To her it seemed Sakura just disliked her and her team since the moment they had arrived into town.
"I'm sorry for bringing you stress Sakura, we will leave." Akira went to get up and grab her belongings taking another look at Sasuke.
"Leaving again like always I see." Sasuke started with a curved eyebrow.
"Sasu-Chan it's not like that." Akira was tongue tied
"I'm just kidding, and I hate it when you call me that." Sasuke said rolling his eyes in annoyance.
Blushing at his comment and apologizing yet again.
"Where too oh fearful leader?" Hikaru said dusting off his pants.
"Oh yes, like Sakura stated we are in an exam and we must finish and go our own way to make sure we too end up in the next part. We have the mist to honor." putting her pack on and having her two teammates say their goodbyes they were on their way to the tower to see what was next for them. Taking one last glance at him Akira smiled and team Koi- Kira was on their way.
